Restaurant im Real in Helmstedt

Solid and good food. Fairly priced too. A star deduction because there is a closed smoking area from which the smell of smoking escapes easily and is easy to smell.

Why does it say open on the internet? Even though it's Sunday. Real is closed. It would be nice if the opening times were correct. Please correct as soon as possible.Thanks

It's a shame that you can no longer get warm food on Wednesdays at 4:50 p.m. with the note that they will be closing soon (at 6:00 p.m.). Less than 3 minutes before, you were just in the market to get cat food, and the spit was still on the grill. But what's gone then is gone. That's how it is.

Unfortunately, the gyros (pork) left something to be desired. The hot sauce and onions were good, while the tzatziki had a slightly unusual consistency. The fries were freshly prepared, but were still quite soggy and didn't taste particularly good. You have to pay extra for mayo/ketchup, which wouldn't be a problem if the fries cost less. Overall a bit expensive for a snack compared to the size and price of the dishes. The ambience was quite pleasant and there appears to be a section so that smokers can smoke inside (similar to at the airport).
