Restaurant im Burghof in Daun

There's so much on the table you think there's no room for anything else, but then they serve a delicious schnitzel and everything falls into place. Inexpensive by Dutch standards, and the service is very hospitable and friendly.

It's okay. The location, however, leaves much to be desired. Some of the meat was quite tough. We had a mixed grill. It was basically "good" fast-food quality. At least the price-performance ratio is right. 2.5 stars.

This was our second time eating at Burghof. Very friendly service. Excellent food. We'll gladly come again.

Wow... what incredibly sweet, lovely people these are! Last year I went here for the first time to round off Wildpark Daun. Yesterday I went to Wildpark Daun for the second time, but all I could think about was this restaurant... and it lived up to all my expectations. We had such a wonderful time! Not only because the food is amazing, but the people there are incredibly kind. Thank you so much for everything! And I'm coming back especially from Rotterdam, just for this restaurant. I don't have any good photos because I started eating before I even remembered. I've added photos from last year and this year.

Absolutely amazing food, had the grill platter for two and every piece of meat was cooked perfectly. Never had a chicken breast this soft before. The potatoes cooked with onion and bacon were an experience. Last but not least, the staff was very nice and attentive.

We had a wonderful evening here with our family. The food was great, the hosts were very kind and the ambiance of the little square was amazing. Would definitely recommend this to everyone who visits Daun.

Very good quality and always friendly service

Received my last meal (9:00 PM). Everything was somehow reheated and didn't taste fresh. The cevapi, in particular, were tough, dry, and tasted like a convenience store item. As I said, a late visit.

We had a wonderful meal at this cozy restaurant. The courtyard is inviting, and the interior is tastefully decorated. The service was very attentive and accommodating to our young child's needs. The Rumpsteak is highly recommended! Note: you can only pay in cash, but there's a Sparkasse a little further down where you can pay by card.

When I ordered beef soup, I got a cup of broth with vermicelli—no meat in sight. I don't need half a kilo of meat in the soup, but when the menu says "beef MEAT soup," I expect it to contain at least some meat.

Got the recommendation from Sebastian (Sebi). I am absolutely thrilled with the ambiance, service, and cuisine. The restaurant was packed; luckily we had a reservation. Despite the large group, the chef fulfilled a special request for me and prepared something that wasn't currently on the menu, but I was really keen to try it thanks to the recommendation. It was a beef steak with fish sauce and shrimp. I swear on my mother's stove that it was the best thing I've ever eaten. Very tender meat, grilled to perfection, as were the shrimp and fish sauce, simply divine. My husband had the mixed grill with extra tzatziki, and he also loved it. Believe me, we are very spoiled when it comes to food. When I go out, I expect good quality and great taste. In this case, both were exceeded. Many thanks to the chef, who knows his craft, and also many thanks to the super friendly staff. The 40-minute journey was more than worth it for us, and we look forward to the next time. All the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The service was attentive and friendly. The covered outdoor seating area is quite comfortable.

A very nice restaurant where we were able to eat outside in the perfect weather. The grilled platter was delicious, as was my friend's pirate skewer, and the extra buttered rice was also delicious. For dessert, there was ham pancakes with cream and fruit. I had never had it before and was very impressed; a delicious dessert! I definitely recommend this restaurant = 5⭐️

We were there last Wednesday. A very nice atmosphere, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long. The portions were very generous and good. The menu is large enough for everyone to find something. The price was very reasonable. Compared to the restaurants in Koblenz, it's almost cheap. We had a very pleasant two hours, and we felt very comfortable. Thank you.

The food is very good, there's a pleasant terrace, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Be sure to bring cash (or withdraw cash from the bank at the end of the street).

Clean, new restrooms. Accessible toilets. The only drawback: no card payments, and you can't pay at the table; you have to go inside to the cash register.

What a terrible place! I had to wait 45 minutes for tomato soup, only to be served a dry chicken breast, and the cola wasn't fizzy. No staff even bothered to stop by to ask if everything was alright? They don't accept card payments. Stay away, there's a fantastic Italian restaurant a bit further down the road.

Great place! We were there for a birthday dinner with 18 people and reserved the wine cellar. The Burghof team was so friendly and attentive. A hidden gem! I found this place through the travel brochure, and Geert was absolutely right. It's very pleasant to sit outside on the terrace, with beautifully set tables and a pleasantly decorated patio. The staff (especially the ladies) are very polite and helpful. The food was better than average for this type of restaurant. The grill counter wasn't overcooked, but very tasty.

What a fantastic shop. Incredibly delicious food, everyone will find something they like. The grill plate for two is a really generous portion. I had by far the best coffee here. We even went back a day later just to have coffee there because it was so good.

We were there spontaneously. The food was very tasty, very authentically Croatian, but the non-Croatian dishes such as schnitzel are also highly recommended. In addition, very nice and accommodating staff. A really nice and cozy evening. You can also pay by card.

Eating here was such an incredible experience. We were welcomed so kindly by the waitstaff, they were very cheerful and their positive attitude made this experience so, so lovely that we decided to come back the very next day. I was especially grateful to Maja, who started to speak in english when she noticed that someone in our party spoke that language. The food was outstanding, everything was delicious and the portions were very filling. This restaurant has become our favourite place to visit, and we will definitely be back when we come to Daun.

A very nice restaurant with very tasty food (we ate Wiener Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu). The waitresses are very nice and friendly, we felt very comfortable. We were there on a summer day and sat outside, but it also looked very cozy inside.

Absolute recommendation! Very tasty food. The steaks are on point. Excellent service and great ambience. Price performance is right. Absolutely recommended. The word also seems to be getting around, it's probably difficult without a reservation, although we were lucky as a couple. Thank you for a very tasty meal and great hospitality!

Update April 22nd: According to the internet, there is a customer stopper in the courtyard that says today is a closed day. Can you update yourself on the internet... Friendly service, food came after only about 15 minutes. The contents of the grill plate were top notch. Unfortunately the fried potatoes were just mud, there was nothing “fried” about them, see picture. We were hoping that the waitress would ask once if everything was okay. Unfortunately, she walked past our table often enough... Salt and pepper would also have been nice at the table. Apart from that, everything was great. Will be back, but then without fried potatoes...

We were there these days – and all I can say is: an absolute insider tip! The ambience: really rustic, with a lot of charm and character. The two dishes we tried were consistently excellent - taste at the level of a star chef. Particularly noteworthy is the prawn pan - a real highlight in my opinion! Highly recommended.
