Restaurant im Burghof in Daun

We had dinner at this establishment. The restaurant was full and we had a table reserved for two. As it turned out, it was in the basement, near the toilet, at a high bar table and bar stools. We asked if possible to give us another table and the staff helped us. We were transferred within 5 minutes. The food was delicious, the portions were large Special thanks to our waiter Dasha. Very sensitive and attentive. I consider our trip to this restaurant a wonderful experience and for the most part this is Dasha’s merit. Good luck!

My visit to the Burghof restaurant in Daun was an absolute pleasure. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, especially the regional specialties, which were prepared with great attention to detail. We were also impressed by the wine selection. I can only warmly recommend the Burghof restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

The fresh sole for 32 euros wasn't that great.

We sat in the wine cellar, definitely very pleasant - as the background noise is totally pleasant! The food (!) was pure enjoyment!! The chicken stuffed with ham and mozzarella on butter rice and Champion sauce 🤤 DELICIOUS We were all very satisfied!

Great steak and grill plate that my father could barely manage. Unfortunately there was only one waitress there, who was very friendly and accommodating.

We had a delicious meal here with our family. The grill dish for 2 people was really good! Wonderfully tender meat and tasty potato slices. The schnitzels were also good. For dessert a delicious apple strudel. Even though it was Tuesday, it was completely packed! As a result, it took a little longer to operate.

We were in the castle courtyard twice within a week. the food was great, the service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very busy both times and a reservation is recommended. The price level is completely okay. Due to the weather we couldn't use the outdoor area, but it looks very cozy. All in all: great

It took too long to get our starter. Two hours at least. Then someone had to wait 40 minutes for their wine, when it came there were suddenly two. Furthermore, no bread with the starter although this was requested by the servant himself. This finally arrived 30 minutes later. The food was super tasty but the service was crap this evening, which was a real shame. Free schnapps as compensation :)

Het restaurant is goed gevuld en voelt gezellig. De bediening is goed. Het kleedje op onze tafel oogt wat smoezelig. De rundvleessoep heeft weinig smaak en is waterig. De champignon schnitzel smaakte goed en had een lekkere knapperige korst. Het vegetarische gerecht viel tegen qua smaak en was erg machtig. Wijnen waren goed.

Sunday trip to Daun, discovered the “Burghof” during a walk. Sitting in the beautiful courtyard was no longer possible due to the cool temperatures in early autumn, so we asked for a table and were lucky that we were there early (5.15 p.m.). So we were able to stop for 1.5 hours. Croatian cuisine is traditionally rich in meat, but there is also "international" cuisine. We chose turkey steak Venezia and the vegetarian plate. Both very tasty! It was served very friendly and beautifully presented. Pleasant atmosphere in the dining room, the music selection, 90s pop, possibly not for everyone and a touch too loud. In addition to the friendly staff, I would also like to emphasize that the restaurant is barrier-free and there is also a disabled toilet.

We are more than thrilled with our visit to the castle courtyard. Despite the full house, we still managed to get a seat. We treated ourselves to a steak platter and it was simply a pleasure. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating and all employees treated each other with respect. We'll definitely be back

Good service, great food! We were in Daun for a weekend. Despite the full garden, the service was totally friendly and accommodating. Drinks were picked up quickly and were at the table straight away. However, food came just as quickly to our surprise. Quality of the meat/fish was really good! If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again.

It was praised as high cuisine. The lettuce is unimaginative and the dry ends of the tomatoes were also incorporated. The dressing was barely noticeable and this continued throughout the meal. Fantasy and tasteless. The waitress wasn't on task and there was a complete lack of contact with the customer. The allergy card could not be relied upon. When asked, something different came up than what was on the menu. And due to the communication problems it was almost impossible to find an alternative.

When asked, the answer was: The boss said there were no more onions because too many were thrown away. I want to decide for myself whether I want to eat them or not. But you can pay for the onions. As in almost all the pictures in the review, no onions can be seen. You should think about that. A pity I expected an answer like that. We weren't asked. But you don't seem to be honest. Maybe you should do something else instead of gastronomy, I don't think you can do that properly. You can start at McDonalds. Maybe you can manage it. (See other review 🤣)

We had reserved a table in the courtyard for 6 p.m. When we arrived around 5:45 p.m. all the tables in the pavilion were already occupied. After we reported our names, the lady initially searched in vain. When she found our name after a long search, she turned to a colleague for help. This pointed to a table next to a board with a closed group (approx. 25 to 30 people). The resulting noise made it impossible to have a normal conversation with my wife. After more than a quarter of an hour we hadn't even been asked what drink we wanted, we decided to leave. There is no next time for us.

Bestes Restaurant überhaupt. Man sollte vorher reservieren, sonst bekommt man kaum einen Tisch. Die Bedienung ist einfach super, das Essen einfach spitze. Waren dort schon vier Mal zu viert Essen und haben dort mehrere Gerichte gehabt, eins war besser als das andere. Die Besitzerin ist sehr nett und herzlich, wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Portionen sind sehr üppig und sehr lecker. Außerdem gibt es von Haus aus noch ein Getränk, wir haben uns für Julitscka entschieden. Können es nur empfehlen.

P.S.: The operator's answer below speaks for itself. Dealing appropriately with justified criticism actually does not seem to be their competence. Haughtiness comes before the event...

We had reserved in advance and it was clear that we would be sitting in the restaurant. However, on the day of the reservation (5/1/24) the weather was great for sitting outside. Despite the beer garden being full, a space was created for us. The service was also very good the rest of the evening 👍 👍 👍. The same goes for the food too. It was tasty and plentiful. You didn't pay at the table, you had to go to the cash register in the restaurant to pay.

We have rarely eaten so well. From the service to the food and ambience, everything was first class. The price-performance ratio is also great, we are very satisfied and will definitely recommend the restaurant to others. The yard is very beautiful and quiet. Well it wasn't the best, I have to say the price-performance ratio wasn't right and the quality of the products was to be desired. But service is definitely top. Have a good meal 2024 04 30 I'm sorry, but I didn't have any luck today. Waiting for food for 1.5 hours was quite long, especially when guests who came after us had already finished eating. This is really disappointing and difficult to understand.

Leider hat uns das Essen nicht ganz so gut geschmeckt, es war OK aber mehr nicht. Der Grillteller ist sehr fleischlastig, das Cordon Bleu war sehr trocken. Gut auch neue schnell ist die Bedienung und auch das Lokal ist nett eingerichtet
