Restaurant Il Lago Di Garda in Landsberg am Lech

I went to the restaurant yesterday, Friday evening, around 8:30 p.m. because I just wanted a glass of wine. It was my first time there and I was seated immediately, along with a selection of three red wines by the glass. The wine was actually quite good, and at a price of €5.80. But the reason I'm writing is that the very friendly, bearded waiter suddenly handed me a basket with four slices of bread and said it would only be bread and wine. And I can say it was some of the best bread I've ever eaten in my life. And I'm over 70. When paying, I asked which bakery the bread came from. The waiter then told me that they make the bread themselves from pizza dough. Simply delicious. I don't know if that's standard there, but it made me very happy. ...

First, I have to praise the friendliness of the service. Now I'll get started... We didn't have to wait long, as we had a reservation for 16 people. It felt like we were sitting at the regulars' table or in the otherwise closed back room. The table decorations looked fresh, but the tablecloths were already showing burn marks. The lighting was rather romantically dim 😁 but still okay. The first order was taken by a friendly waiter from the next table, which arrived after us, along with the food. The food arrived very staggered, I assume due to the small kitchen. Unfortunately, the children, who were very hungry, sometimes had to wait a long time. My meal (Croatian platter for 2) was very blandly seasoned, or even had no seasoning at all. My son's spaghetti with tomato sauce was also very bland, which is perfectly fine for children, but even my son ate very little. My sister-in-law's schnitzel was okay. The salami pizza doesn't come with Calabrese salami, the "regular" salami you'd expect, but with what I assume is a Croatian salami in a star shape, which would probably be very tasty. My wife had a lasagna with salmon and spinach, which tasted primarily of cream; you couldn't taste the salmon or spinach, and it was very runny. I didn't specifically ask about the others. But that's enough, I think. What I also noticed at the end, as we were standing smoking, was that the chef was wearing gloves outside, touching the wooden chairs, talking on the phone, and smoking, all without taking off his gloves (black latex gloves). Overall, I have to say I can't recommend it at the moment. We won't be going there again; it wasn't special enough.

A very cozy beer garden, with inviting, friendly, attentive, and customer-oriented service. You feel very comfortable, appreciated, and, after a short wait, are rewarded with an excellent meal.

Was there last night. Perfect food, top service, top surroundings... Everything as usual. The fact that the restaurant and beer garden were literally overrun in the evening by an additional, simultaneous increase in guests was not the hosts' responsibility. It was the so-called Italian Night in Landsberg. Either these people couldn't get a seat there or they didn't want to eat there due to cost reasons. Money isn't so easy to spare these days. Or they might just suddenly want some very good Italian food in the beer garden, grin. In any case, they hadn't made a reservation, and when capacity is reached, a host unfortunately has to turn them away. Everyone else who could have been accommodated beforehand was informed that it's taking longer than usual. Staff, especially in these times of shortage, doesn't just fall from the sky on short notice. Nevertheless, Maurice and Jerry(?) remained imperative. We, too, waited patiently and understandingly for more drinks and dessert. We won't rate this negatively, as the hosts were not responsible for it, and we ask all those potentially affected to do the same. To date, our visits have always been flawless. The staff gave their all last night, folks! 5 stars, as always, and as always, we love coming here. Almost in the center of Landsberg, this very nice beer garden with a gazebo, a superb family business, very good food, friendliness, guests always feel welcome, a great stay. Etc., etc. THAT is our priority and should be appreciated and preserved. See you soon. Addendum: According to initial user posts online, the Italian night and the restaurants in the city center were hopelessly overcrowded. That probably explains the situation at Lake Garda as well.

We always enjoy coming here, whether sitting in the cozy restaurant or outside in the beer garden under the trees in the summer. The mix of Italian and Croatian cuisine has won us over so far. The friendly and attentive staff contributes to a comfortable atmosphere. Although the beer garden is located next to the main road, you can have a relaxed conversation without being bothered by traffic noise.

We've been driving past for years, but now we finally decided to stop in. What can I say? It's simply fantastic, cozy, delicious food (Italian and Croatian cuisine), friendly people, and a lovely beer garden. I never really noticed it while driving past. It's a shame we didn't stop sooner.

I hope the kitchen team was just having a bad day. I used to come here often, and all the food was perfect. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case on my last visit. I hope things get better again ✌🏼

We went there for dinner on Tuesday with several people. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was lovely. The service was particularly special; our waiter was very attentive. He automatically brought us chili oil with the note, "If you need it, please." The table was always cleared away promptly, which we haven't seen in a long time. It was really great. One very small drawback: Tuesday is pizza day, but that somehow slipped by. But now we know.

Good food at a reasonable price. No alternatives for allergy sufferers available, so we don't give it 5 stars.

Very nice terrace, with a covered area for bad weather. The pizza, pasta, and salads are delicious and authentic. The staff is friendly and attentive. The value for money is very good. I highly recommend a visit.

A really warm and cozy restaurant with a large, beautiful beer garden. The staff is very friendly, attentive and makes you feel completely comfortable. Ordering goes quickly and the food is always delicious and freshly prepared. The flexible opening times are particularly nice – the kitchen is also very adaptable. Perfect for a relaxed lunch. Even though it is on the main street, it is so lovingly decorated that you hardly notice its location. A real insider tip – absolutely recommended!

Great evening. Super friendly service, great service. There is a big white dog. He was super cute, just lying on the ground and looking friendly. It's bright white and didn't smell at all - cheeky that another commenter here claimed it stinks. I have never seen a dog so radiant.

We can only agree with the previous review, here you get the best of Italian - Croatian cuisine. We were here today as a family and felt very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, You immediately feel welcome (that's rare these days) Hospitality is definitely still alive here. The cuisine is down-to-earth and very tasty. Be sure to try pizza and tiramisu! We'll definitely be back! Thank you very much

Croatian dishes good, pizza just ok. Nice beer garden. Service rather bad, long waiting time. Basically, dogs are okay for us. But the restaurant's dog smells bad, constantly begs for food and spreads his excrement in the beer garden. Indication of this resulted in no response.

Update Best pizza, ever, ever best! Really Don't be afraid of the dog. She goes by the name Mandy and is very sweet. She sometimes announces the visitors.

Yesterday we went to the all you can eat pizza place. Unfortunately we are all very disappointed and hungry. Only one small piece of pizza was ever brought to you. Long waiting times! Not everyone at the table wanted to try some types of pizza, but they were still put on our plates. After 2 hours the bouncer pizza Nutella with banana was served. After that nothing happened anymore. We weren't even asked if we wanted anything else. NO THANK YOU, NEVER AGAIN

Very nice hosts! The food was mediocre. The antipasti plate looked great but was relatively tasteless. I didn't really like the large salad with turkey strips. The meat was spicy, tender and very tasty, but for me a salad like this needs a lot of lettuce, fresh peppers, olives, etc. The salad consisted of 2 leaves of frissee lettuce (probably misspelled), grated carrots, white cabbage salad without caraway and a pickled bean and corn mix. That doesn't belong in a salad like this. I found it very unfortunate. The tiramisu was very tasty and a large enough portion. Maybe we'll go back and try the pizza.

Ein schöner Biergarten, leider ist erst einmal nicht so klar wo der Eingang ist?! Essen war gut einwennig zu salzig! Service sehr freundlich und bemüht alles umzusetzen was der Gast für Wünsche hat! Parkplätze haben wir leider keine gefunden!

Einfach nur toll. Wir waren im Biergarten der eigentlich an einer Hauptstraße liegt, aber man hat nichts gehört. Es ist einFamilienbetrieb und das spürt man auch. Die Gastgeber sind so liebevoll und echt fleißig. Obwohl soviel los war haben se sich Zeit genommen für jeden Besucher. Es war viel los aber man hat es kaum wahrgenommen, da alkes Andere stimmig war. Die Preise sind echt human im Gegensatz zu anderen Restaurants. Es war wie im Urlaub 🤗 Wir werden definitiv nochmals hin gehen. Ein riesen Daumen hoch

Abbiamo preso bruschette e penne all'arrabbiata. La sfida che ho lanciato allo chef è stata colta e vinta da lui. Piatto ottimo e prezzo decisamente equo. Esperienza da ripetere lo consiglio a tutti gli italiani...

Toller Biergarten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Gerne wieder!

Leckeres Essen und schöner Biergarten. Leider schien das Personal etwas gestresst. Ich vermute, da Samstagabend viel los war. Als wir fertig waren, wurden wir nicht gefragt, ob wir noch Getränke oder Dessert möchten. Ein Hundehaufen wurde nicht entfernt, obwohl wir darauf hingewiesen hatten. Das fand ich nicht toll, wenn man bedenkt, dass nebendran gegessen und getrunken wird und auch Kinder spielen.

Italienisch-kroatische Küche ... sehr lecker! Restaurant innen und Biergarten sind schön und bieten sehr viel Platz.
