Restaurant Ignatz in Herzogenaurach

Unfortunately, on both of our visits to Ignatz, we were completely ignored by the wait staff present. This despite the fact that 8 people were working in service. Like the first time, we left after 20 minutes of unsuccessful attempts to order. Fortunately, the HerzoBar is located below the Ignatz, where we were served promptly, in a friendly and courteous manner. So it turned out to be a nice evening after all.

We made reservations at very short notice. It was the only restaurant open at lunchtime. The service is excellent, the food is delicious! It was delivered relatively quickly. We'd love to come back :)

Great service, special requests in the order were taken into account and implemented 1:1. Food (a burger variation each) was very good and more than sufficient. If you want to eat with more than two people, you should reserve a table in advance. Highly recommended

We have often been here for breakfast. Now finally an evening with friends. The food was great, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere made you feel comfortable. We would love to come back and are very happy that we have the Ignatz in Herzogenaurach😊🍀

Nice restaurant in the middle of the city centre. I didn’t have much chicken options but certainly enjoyed their vegan burger. The portion was quite heavy and fulfilling. Will definitely visit again.

Cozy restaurant in the heart of Herzogenaurach. Ideal if you want to eat or just drink something. A new bar is right at the entrance with plenty of seating by the windows too. Service very courteous and friendly. Keep it up. Quality and selection of dishes impeccable. Wine list and beer selection very good! We'll be back.

Great food, nice terrace outside - would love to come back

One of the few restaurants in Herzogenaurach open during lunchtime that is not Italian. There are enough spaces inside and outside. The service staff is very friendly and quick across the board. Changing daily specials and a regular menu that doesn't last too long are a good combination. So far all the dishes have always been very tasty and attractively prepared.

We arrived on our trip by chance and late on the first evening and were given a very friendly welcome. The ambience and food were great, so we went there again the next evening. The pan schnitzel is a dream. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Just been booted out in a very rude style by a chap. We sat down at a table in the garden which did not show any signs of reservations. “Alles reserviert “ he said. Not a very nice welcome in Herzogenaurach. Avoid it! Lajos

What an amazing place! The food was fantasic (Parmezanschnitzel with spinach-filled ravioli and mixed salad), the waiters were quick, kind and smily. The evening atmosphere in the garden with the strings of tiny lights was great. Definitely a place to return to.

I have been to this establishment several times, the food is always great. Service as when and as which. they tried, but many times they passed by me without noticing and I had an empty glass on the table, one evening I even left hungry, the service didn't stop by me for 30 minutes, so I went to eat at a competitor's fast food restaurant. "just because I'm a foreigner doesn't mean I'm anything less"

We were in the restaurant almost at lunchtime and the kitchen still quickly conjured up something. The service was great and the boss was really magical.

What a wonderful evening we were able to spend here on the terrace of the Ignatz, with the finest food, a nice atmosphere and lovely staff who were somehow able to conjure up a large free table for us despite the huge crowds! And the whole thing is accompanied by the clattering of storks on the roofs of the surrounding houses! What more do you want? Gladly again!

Very nice restaurant with good food.

Our choice fell on this restaurant this evening. I liked the reviews, and the halloumi burger 🍔 and the selection of bowls for my friend who only eats vegetarian. Unfortunately, the bowls are missing from the current menu, so only the burger was left. I myself ordered the standard burger. Both came with homemade fries 🍟. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Half a liter of draft beer 🍺 and a large bottle of still water. Both also very tasty. Total 45.40 euros, i.e. 50 including tip. Very okay 👍 We had a table outside in the sun, quiet and a nice view. 😎

Best cuisine, great service. It's absolutely value for the price. It's better to make a reservation because my opinion is also shared by others ;-)

Super cozy, relaxed atmosphere, extremely friendly staff. You feel welcome from the first moment. The food is not only beautifully presented but also tastes exceptionally good. No run-of-the-mill food. Fries made from fresh potatoes, I have never eaten such a good schnitzel. Prices are a bit high but absolutely okay for such mega quality 👍 In my opinion a must!!! Paid parking spaces, free parking on weekends. We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately there are only one or two vegetarian dishes - you have to be lucky with the changing offerings. This time I wasn't completely happy - I was very satisfied on the first visit.

Went to Ignatz without making an appointment based on a recommendation. There was only space in the beer garden, but the food and service were great.

Nice restaurant with good food.

We went spontaneously, actually only with a reservation, but we are 250km away from home, were warmly greeted by mother and daughter (very friendly) behind the counter, both were always courteous, willing to talk/nice (also an eye-catcher 😊) and of course Marcel also fit in good in the team. Thank you for the great evening, we enjoyed it very much. We from Württemberg send our best regards, we would love to come back.

The service wasn't good, I asked for an extra plate and was told she only had two hands, such an answer is just cheeky. Ignatz never again Very disappointing.

It's really impressive how delicious you can eat there.

İt is a nice place for dinner. We have tried burgers and one cocktail. Price for total : 42 € Staff are kind. You need to have a reservation in advance. İt is in city centre. Also menu attached. There is a park area close to restaurant after 6 pm you dont need to get ticket for park.

What an awesome place. Went there once a week for 3 months. Breakfast, Lunches, Dinners, all excellent and fresh and for reasonable prices. Every visit is a joy!

The staff is incredibly friendly. I haven't seen such a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere in a long time, but the wonderful food can't be topped. Anything less than 5 stars doesn't do this wonderful restaurant justice in my opinion.

Service super nice. But my meal (schnitzel with fries and salad) wasn't worth the high price. The schnitzel could also have been a slice of ham in thick breading. I think over 17 euros is too high for that. My aunt's food. (She had potato pancakes with salmon and salad) was apparently quite good and looked good.

I went here for lunch with a work colleague and was very pleasantly surprised. Just the fact that we found a place at lunchtime that was open and wasn't a snack bar🙈 We were welcomed very friendly, served and ate very tasty👌🏻 Price-performance is absolutely recommended! Tip: there are several nice seats in the back area (around the corner).

Super leckeres Essen, extrem nettes und aufmerksames Personal und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Ich komme wieder 😊

Wir waren in einer größeren Gruppe essen und wurden gut und freundlich umsorgt, auch wenn einige Getränke falsch oder gar nicht kamen. Das Essen dauerte recht lange bis es serviert wurde, dafür kamen aber alle Gericht zeitgleich. Leider als logische Folge waren nicht alle Gerichte mehr ganz heiß und auch die Qualität hat an der ein oder anderen Ecke gelitten. Das alles ist sicher dem Umstand geschuldet dass man viele Gerichte auf einmal bestellt. Dass aber extra darauf hingewiesen wird dass in großen Gruppen nur eine kleine Speisekarte angeboten wird sollte voraussetzen dass die Küche dann damit fertig wird. Vermutlich sind die Gerichte absolut top wenn man mit wenigen Leuten dort isst, daher werde ich sicher nochmal kommen und es probieren.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe im Ignatz und alle waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen. Nur mein eigenes Gericht, Lachs mit Rösti und Wirsinggemüse anstelle von Grillgemüse war nicht der Brüller. Der Service war top und im Lokal lässt es sich gemütlich sitzen.

Hochwertiges Essen. Wer Salate mag, sollte den Teriyaki Salat probieren: Dringende Empfehlung. Das Ambiente ist hübsch, kann aber recht laut sein.

Schön eingerichtetes Restaurant. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker. Das Brot ist frisch und schmeckt unglaublich gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder hierher. Gegessen haben wir die Frühstücksplatte für zwei und "Kraft am Morgen". Das Wallnussbrot ist der Hit.

Qualität Essen super, Menge eher übersichtlich

Wer in Herzogenaurach ist und nach einer Lokalität sucht mir wirklich sehr gutem Essen ist dort gut aufgehoben. Qualität und Preis passen wirklich zusammen. Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam auch wenn viel los war. Man musste zwar warten bis jemand kam zum abräumen oder wenn man erneut was bestellen wollte. Hier sollte sich das Team noch mal Gedanken machen, wie sie sich aufstellen wenn alle Tische besetzt sind. Für uns war es ein gelungener Abend und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Sehr schöne Lokation am Marktplatz mitten in Herzogenaurach. Leckeres Essen auf das die noch nie lange warten mussten, freundliche Bedienung. Man kann wunderschön außen sitzen und drinnen ist es bequem und gemütlich.

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant direkt am Marktplatz. Das Essen war sehr gut, auch die Getränkekarte war sehr umfangreich. Mein erster Eindruck war, es gibt in dieser Lokalität nur Getränke, denn ich bekam nur eine Getränkekarte und auch keine Nachfrage, ob ich etwas essen wolle. Am Nachbartisch wurden fränkische Spezialität gereicht und ich wollte daraufhin auch die Speisekarte. Diese wurde mir gereicht, aber die Essen vom Nachbartisch waren nicht enthalten. Ich habe das Gleiche bestellen wollen wie am Tisch nebenan, durfte ich aber nicht, denn die hätten die Mittagskarte für abends bekommen. Hier gibt es wohl unterschiedliche Klassen von Kunden. Schade, aber mein Schnitzel mit den Ravioli war dafür sehr lecker.
