Haben uns heute das Frühstück für 2 Personen gegönnt und es nicht bereut. Sehr lecker und reichlich. Würden wir wieder nehmen.

Schöne Terrasse Aber insgesamt viel zu teuer für die Größe der Portionen.

War grad da und war echt top. Getränke schön kalt, Essen mega lecker und die Bedienung richtig nett. Preise sind auch voll fair. Komm auf jeden Fall gern wieder!

Mein Name ist Christian Leuthe. Komme aus Herzogenaurach und war an dem 22. Mai am Freitag das erste Mal in diesem absolut tollen Restaurant Marktplatz Nummer 13 Hallo meine Lieben Ich bin am Freitag denn 22. Mai. In diesem wunderbaren tollen Restaurant gewesen. Mit meiner Mama mit meinem Partner, Onkel und mit meiner Tante. Und ich war so begeistert und sehr beeindruckt glücklich dankbar stolz in diesem absolut tollen Restaurant Ignatz marktplatz, Hausnummer 13 in Herzogenaurach zu sein. Ambiente, super Service super Mitarbeiter absolut super empfehlen kann man das Restaurant auf jeden Fall, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis auch sehr gut Ambiente super gut tolle Lage essen absolut Mega spitze und was die aus dieser alten Bäckerei gemacht haben wirklich überragen. Toll ist nicht wieder zu erkennen aber von innen vom Restaurant einfach wunderschön ein großes Kompliment an das Team von diesem Restaurant und vielen herzlichen Dank für diesen unbeschreiblich tollen Moment, den ich mit meiner Familie dort genießen durften vielen herzlichen Dank, dass dieses Restaurant einfach toll ist. Und ein großes Kompliment und ein großes Dankeschön an das Team und an die Küche, Das Essen war Spitzenklasse super lecker alle haben das Essen gleichzeitig bekommen. Geschmacklich war das Essen absolut toll. Dieses Restaurant ist jetzt in meinem zehn besten Restaurants in Herzogenaurach an erster Stelle gerückt. Wir waren mit Freunden dort. Das Essen war gut, hätte für mich jedoch etwas mehr sein dürfen, daher ein punktabzug. Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Gut geschmeckt. Service war hervorragend Ambiente. War sehr angenehm. Man konnte sich gut unterhalten.

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Restaurant. Auch außen kann man im Sommer schön sitzen.

Ein sehr guter Ort, um ein Bier zu trinken oder mit Familie und Freunden zusammen zu sein. Die Getränke sind gut, und wir kommen beim nächsten Mal wieder, um das Essen zu probieren.

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen spontan im Ignatz und hatten Glück miut einem Platz am Tresen. Nette Bedienungen, tolles Essen, da kommen wir gern (mit Reservierung) wieder.

Sehr nettes Restaurant mit einer guten Speisekarte. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Schön eingerichtet und der Lärmpegel hält sich in Grenzen auch wenn es richtig voll ist. Das Essen war sehr gut und war zügig zubereitet. Kommen gerne wieder.

Um 16:00 Uhr gab es im Restaurant nichts mehr zu essen. Wir kauften eine Brezel, aber es stellte sich heraus, dass Essen dort verboten war. Genauer gesagt, nur an den Tischen draußen. Wir setzten uns zum ersten und letzten Mal hin.

Das Essen war echt super egal ob Schnitzel mit Bolognese das fränkische Schnitzel oder der Ignatz Burger es war jedes essen super . Die Lauch Käse Suppe war auch sehr sehr lecker. Das Ambiente ist echt schön und mit liebe gemacht . Das einzige was Weng blöd ist es ist schon relativ laut. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen wieder

Am 29.11.2025 besuchten wir auf Empfehlung des Hotels das Restaurant Ignatz. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und die Bedienung freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders nett war die blonde Kellnerin. Wir genossen es, verschiedene regionale Gerichte zu probieren. 😊👌

Leider gab es im Restaurant nur Kuchen. Essen gab es erst ab 16:45 Uhr. Schade, dass diese Information nicht auf der Website steht.

Waren vor ca. 2 Monaten dort. Das Essen war gut, aber etwas wenig Auswahl. Die Einrichtung ist angenehm. Nicht gefallen hat mir die Hintergrundmusik. Ich nenne es "deutscher Depri-Rock"... beeinflusst die Stimmung eher negativ.

Our visit to Restaurant Ignaz was an absolute highlight! My husband, my girlfriend, and I went there for the first time on Friday, and we were all absolutely thrilled. I ordered the Parmesan schnitzel, my husband the beef fillet with roast potatoes and beans, and my girlfriend the fillet skewer. Every dish was excellent, but my Parmesan schnitzel was simply sensational. I've never eaten such an incredibly delicious schnitzel in my entire life: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and simply a true taste experience. I was full after half an hour, but it was so good I couldn't leave a single bite uneaten. The meal was so impressive that we returned the next day, this time with two other friends. Of course, I chose the Parmesan schnitzel again, and it was perfect again. A huge compliment to the kitchen for this culinary masterpiece, as well as to the service, who was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Conclusion: A restaurant that impresses with quality, taste, and service across the board. We'll definitely be back, and the Parmesan schnitzel remains unbeatable for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite the cultural festival, we were able to get two seats without prior reservations, as we spontaneously decided to stay. Having just asked for directions a week earlier, the waitress immediately recognized me today. That's saying something and definitely earns extra points 😉 Otherwise, the menu gave me, a stranger in the world, another first: I arrived for the very first pinsa of my life. The staff were always around, all attentive and friendly, no long waits, unfussy, smooth, pleasing both for guests and the taste buds—good food at a good price. And next time, we'll take a look inside 😊👍🏼

The food doesn't live up to the good reviews. I had the chicken teriyaki salad for a whopping €17, and the "chicken" on it was, in terms of consistency, like pressed meat. It didn't feel like meat in the mouth (i.e., with discernible fibers), but rather like a strange, cold, marinated mass. The fact that the salad arrived immediately after ordering suggests that they're serving convenience foods. Ready-made salad from a bag, pre-marinated pressed meat that's not even fried but simply placed on top. I've had an almost identical salad elsewhere and can tell the difference between a freshly prepared salad and one made from ready-made products. The only thing that speaks for this restaurant, in my opinion, is its location on the market square in Herzogenaurach. It certainly can't be the food.

Very tasty ravioli with peppercorn and truffle sauce. The Irish stew was also delicious. The food arrived quickly and the staff was very friendly. Nothing to complain about, we'll be back soon.

The two of us spontaneously stopped by Ignatz for dinner. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The manager was a bit stressed, but he apologized for the inconvenience (it was the holiday season, so some of the staff were apparently on vacation). However, we were served very promptly. Drinks arrived very quickly, and the food also arrived after about 20 minutes. They apologized for the wait. I think the wait is reasonable for freshly prepared food! We had the cod and the roast beef with onions. Both are highly recommended. The portions are very good. A bit on the expensive side, but worth the money.

Breakfast was, well, hard rolls, so that's really not necessary! I can only speak for the breakfast. We've been there twice now and arrived at 10:25. My friend had an additional request for tomatoes on top of her breakfast, but the waitress said breakfast was already over and we'd have to wait and see. After checking the opening hours, we realized breakfast was until 11:00 a.m. When we asked the waitress, she said, "The boss decides at his discretion," and after all, we didn't have a reservation. "Are you serious?" We've never experienced anything like that before. Very unfriendly service, but luckily they're out of rolls, but someone really needs to practice being friendlier!

Excellent, big servings and very savory. The cordon bleu was filled with good cheese and high quality poultry meat and bacon. Good place if you want to eat locally.

We made the trip on the recommendation of Puma MA and can only say positive things. The service was first-class, the food was first-class, and on the balmy summer evening, the outdoor ambiance was also first-class. Thanks to Puma MA and Restaurant Ignatz.

I'm very fortunate to be able to help out in the kitchen here on the weekends. The pay is fair, and all my colleagues are great. The kitchen is staffed exclusively by professionals with outstanding resumes who strive to deliver the best possible results to their guests. The food used here is of exceptionally high quality. Here, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning, lunch, homemade cakes, and delicious set meals with a monthly changing seasonal menu. I rarely go out to eat (I'm a good cook myself 😉), but when I do, it's here, and I do so with complete conviction. I'd say there are few restaurants in the area that can compare to Ignatz 😀 No, I was neither paid nor encouraged to write this review 😉

Just plain unfriendly. You're at a loss for words. Before you are assigned a seat, you have to say what you are going to order. And even then, the allocation of space is anything but objective. People who came after us (the same number, without reservations, it emerged from the conversation) got a nice place in the shade. You don't have to go through something like that.

Spontaneously asked about free places while visiting the town. We were lucky that there were still 4 places available because it was worth it. Great ambience. Service was super friendly and the food was really great! Children were thrilled. There was even nothing left over, even though the portions were really big enough. Restaurant Ignatz is highly recommended! We'll be back (2 adults, 1 teenager, 1 teenager approx. 20 -30 €/person)

I highly recommend Ignatz to anyone in Herzo. We were there with a group of 10 people and had salmon, cordon bleu, and the beef steak. Everything was perfect, and the service was very friendly and attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food, and our glasses were practically never empty! Thank you for the lovely evening with you ❤️ Definitely recommend it.

We just had a drink at the bar on a Friday evening. Pleasantly filled with guests and a relaxed atmosphere. Attractive atmosphere and friendly staff. The cocktails on offer weren't my cup of tea, but apart from that they sounded good. The wine list is good, large selection. A good opportunity for Herzogenaurach to go out again in the evening for a drink after work.

Wow, that was good! You will often read that everything is great here. You will also read that things weren't so good once. Make up your own mind. The bad reviews are partly because something not so good was not addressed. We were regularly asked if everything was okay. Today I read, best restaurant in Herzogenaurach. I can't judge this, but what I can say is, it was delicious, there was a great atmosphere and the staff was so friendly and great. Thanks for the great evening.

The location and interior design of the restaurant are very nice, it is spacious but at the same time you can enjoy the beautiful view from the window with a little privacy. The food is average German food. But it's a good place if you just want to have a relaxing time with friends.

Unfortunately, on both of our visits to Ignatz, we were completely ignored by the staff present. This despite the fact that 8 people were working in service. Like the first time, we left after 20 minutes of unsuccessful attempts to order. Fortunately, the HerzoBar is located below the Ignatz, where we were served promptly, in a friendly and courteous manner. So it turned out to be a nice evening after all.

We made reservations at very short notice. It was the only restaurant open at lunchtime. The service is excellent, the food is delicious! It was delivered relatively quickly. We'd love to come back :)

Great service, special requests in the order were taken into account and implemented 1:1. Food (a burger variation each) was very good and more than sufficient. If you want to eat with more than two people, you should reserve a table in advance. Highly recommended

Nice restaurant in the middle of the city centre. I didn’t have much chicken options but certainly enjoyed their vegan burger. The portion was quite heavy and fulfilling. Will definitely visit again.

Cozy restaurant in the heart of Herzogenaurach. Ideal if you want to eat or just drink something. A new bar is right at the entrance with plenty of seating by the windows too. Service very courteous and friendly. Keep it up. Quality and selection of dishes impeccable. Wine list and beer selection very good! We'll be back.

Great food, nice terrace outside - would love to come back

One of the few restaurants in Herzogenaurach open during lunchtime that is not Italian. There are enough spaces inside and outside. The service staff is very friendly and quick across the board. Changing daily specials and a regular menu that doesn't last too long are a good combination. So far all the dishes have always been very tasty and attractively prepared.
