RESTAURANT HÜNNS in Bad Reichenhall

We were on holiday in Bad Reichenhall for a few days and ate at Hünns three times. The service was great, the food was delicious and we could still sit outside in October. The weather was wonderful, many restaurants had already cleared out their garden restaurant.

Pretty authentic Bavarian/Austrian food. The service is nice and friendly.

Fast and attentive service. However, the table reserved for 4 was only set for 2 people and the dirty tablecloth remained on it. The place is quite nice, but the seating is very tight and some fresh air every now and then would be an advantage. Food is average tavern cuisine - but nothing more.

One of the restaurants where you feel like trying out the entire menu little by little. Ended up here while passing through. The salad with breaded chicken, the Viennese style schnitzel and breaded pumpkin schnitzel... followed by dessert (apple cake and raspberry plate)...highly recommended....deserved 5 stars overall.

Beautiful old brewery with a lot of attention to detail, the food was great, a lot of hospitality from the customers and warm service. Keep it up. Would go again and again.

From us a straight -10 in service Our order was only partially taken, the drinks were swapped and despite repeated attention, we were left sitting in the blazing sun for an hour without anyone coming to us. There wasn't much going on and the neighboring table was served!

Good Bavarian cuisine located in the city center

The location of the beer garden is nice and the service is friendly and fast. The dining room is rustic and comfortably furnished. The beer is good. Local cuisine is cooked. And tarte flambée?? It (beef goulash and chicken with sauce) was tasty. But it's not a revelation.

Very cozy, well-kept atmosphere. The two young waiters are professional and friendly. No long waiting times although well attended. The side salad for the roast pork (pork shoulder) was excellent. The crust was perfect. The fluffy bread dumpling deserves the name bread dumpling. The plate, very carelessly arranged, is more reminiscent of canteen food. The burger could also be presented in a more attractive way - as we know, the eye is important. Both tasted very good. There is only one star deducted for the presentation. All in all, definitely recommended 👍🏻

The HÜNNS is absolutely recommended. Super tasty food and we liked the Hefeweizen/Cola. Were there for the second time in 3 days. Come back next year.

There were four of us here as tourists with babies. First of all: the staff was super friendly. The food (a good selection of vegetarian options compared to many other restaurants nearby) was at the table within less than 10 minutes and we all got our food at the same time, each of us having something different. The food was presented well and the quantity was enough for 3 out of 4 of us. However, in hindsight we would all say that the food was very bland, so I'll briefly list the individual dishes here: Käsespätzle: very greasy and felt like it was cooked with fat instead of cheese, because it didn't taste very bad. In terms of quantity, it was more than enough and the side salad was also good and included in the price. Grill plate: a little low on fries and the Cevapcici listed was left out without comment. At the next table a gentleman also ordered the Geillplatte and asked for the Cevapcici. He was told that unfortunately it was over and that there was a sausage there. However, firstly, the information in advance would be interesting and secondly, the sausage was not included, but according to the menu. In the end you have paid for a non-existent or replaced Cevapcici. The fries were good, but a bit small. Rump steak: was comparable to a pork neck steak in terms of thickness. It was a bit over the top and we didn't say anything or be asked anything. In addition, some cartilage has crept in. The herb butter was a little low and the fries were good, but also very little. Dinner of the day: bread dumplings with chanterelle cream sauce: This dish was probably the most disappointing. The mushrooms didn't taste like anything, the sauce actually only consisted of cream/milk and didn't taste like anything, and bread dumplings are to be understood here as the singular because it was exactly one. At the price of around €18 I would say this is a rip off. In the end, every bag of soup probably tastes more like cream and mushrooms and at 18€ at least a second bread dumpling would be a must. Since the portions for everyone except the cheese spaetzle were very small, we ordered dessert. Nougat dumplings: contrary to our expectations, they were not filled with nougat/chocolate but rather fruit (I mean plum). Apple fritters: were good and I would recommend them. "Melting Heart": again very disappointing because the cake with a liquid core was extremely small (about half a muffin tin filled) and the "fruits" that came with it were 5 blueberries and two half slices of orange. Again, disproportionately expensive for what is on offer. Iced coffee: I think the coffee was instant coffee, but the ice cream (which came with all the desserts) was good (normal store-bought vanilla ice cream). Conclusion: great staff, nice central location, fast service, but also food that is of a quality that is more on the level of a cheap German fast food restaurant. This also somewhat explains the speed at which the food comes. The prices, on the other hand, do not suggest that they are a fast food restaurant, as in my opinion they were above a good German restaurant. We wouldn't go there again because the food is our main priority when visiting a restaurant.

Pizza and schnitzel tasted very good! I can't say anything about anything else because we were there when the Berchtesgaden City Festival was taking place. Of course it was packed and the service was rowing...

Salzburger Schnitzel was insane, the best i ever had in my entire life, as well as its cooking speed, 10 out of 10

The team is super hospitable and we have already visited the restaurant twice on recommendation. Upon request, we were also provided with a water bowl for our dog. The dishes are served attractively and the waiting time is absolutely reasonable. Our favorite is the venison goulash with bread dumplings and the Wiener Schnitzel with fries and salad, perfect! Many thanks to the waitress for the pleasant atmosphere.

Food was mediocre. The waiters lust after women walking past. Tarte flambée was good. Overall, a disappointing visit to the restaurant.

Bad service (the young men only had eyes for the young girls and for themselves), mediocre food and a bunch of wasps. We hoped for more. Too bad!

Food: Absolutely Mediocre, could find it in any restaurant. Service: The servers didn't ring in parts of our order. The kitchen screwed up half our order. Atmosphere: Wasps everywhere.

We felt like we were bothering the service with our presence at the restaurant. Spaghetti Bolognese for kids were bad bad bad. We were choosing based on good Google reviews, we may have caught the staff on the wrong day but although I unfortunately cannot recommend this place.

Too bad! We would have liked to leave it 5 stars because the visit itself was really nice. We wanted to grab something quick to eat on the way through at 9:30 in the evening and the first restaurant we entered in Bad Reichenhall had already turned the kitchen cold. So I spontaneously scurried into the next one. Here we were warmly welcomed and served two surprisingly good roast pork. We ate quickly and asked for the bill. The total was 42.40 - I rounded up, gave the young blonde waiter with tattooed forearms 50 and clearly said 45. He dug into his wallet, put coins in my hand and disappeared faster than I could open my fist. There were exactly 3 €1 coins in my hand. Yes, it's a small thing. Yes, you don't make a fuss about it, but it's really really unpleasant when you're forced to tip more than you actually wanted to give. Of course there was no invoice either.

Average restaurant, the food is good, the service leaves something to be desired for tourists. Great restaurant right in the center of Bad Reichenhall. Large outdoor area, no annoying traffic, lavish menu with fair prices. Friendly service staff with an open ear for special requests. In contrast to other experiences, we as a family of 5 can only recommend. 👍

We were here in Hünns several times during our vacation. We were immediately drawn to the great ambience and the food was also really, really good. A special compliment and a big thank you to the employee Fidan, whose open nature and commitment make you feel more than welcome as a guest!

The beer garden is cozy and there is good beer :) The selection of food is large and not too expensive. Unfortunately, when we visited, one of the dishes wasn't particularly warm. Still, it was delicious ;) We were there again this year anyway and it was warm, fresh and delicious 😊

Food comes quickly, is very tasty but also quite greasy. The fried potatoes were definitely homemade and seasoned with lots of parsley. Very good ! Dishes were apparently clean. Tables are wiped down after each guest, but not with a disposable cloth...

We went to Hünns for dinner today and had the following experience. The service is super nice and quick but unfortunately the kitchen is terrible. My turkey schnitzel was half raw and the bill was €7-8 more than on the menu. Therefore unfortunately only a 2 star rating.

THE central restaurant on Rathausplatz. Always good quality. Good menu and still reasonable prices. Also in 2024!

We are visiting Bad Reichenhall and were looking for a tasty and reasonably priced restaurant in the evening. Since according to our daughter it was supposed to be a dumpling with sauce, it was Hünn's. And what can we say… GREAT. The service is extremely friendly, courteous, quick and super nice to children. The food blew us away. According to my husband, it would have been the best side salad he's ever had (he had the grill plate). If we ever come to Bad Reichenhall again, it will always be this restaurant. We are thrilled and thank you for this lovely evening. Please keep it up!!!
