A warm friendly welcome, the Service and food was really nice. Authentic taste of India. I loved the Chicken Tikka masala. Somasa was home made crunchy and nice. I am hungry writing the review. Thanks Govindji and Manojji, for your warm Hospitality. Highly recommended.

The food was very tasty, not so much about spices but you can still tell that there was Indian spice in it. Service is good and attentive. The lamb is super tender 👍

We live in Luxembourg and we visited the restaurant during our vacations in Bad Reichenhall. I've eaten at different Indian restaurants in Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, etc., however, the food at Max Indisches restaurant surpasses them all in taste and quality. I know the spices are adjusted in Indian restaurants to suit the European palate, however, the restaurant manager customized the food for us and we felt we are eating in a restaurant in India. My favorite was the Chicken Tikka Masala which was unlike any other chicken tikka masala I've eaten at other Indian restaurants in Europe - perfect blend of spices and most importantly, the chicken was tender. The mixed vegetable was equally delicious. The key highlight of this restaurant is that while adjusting the spices to suit European taste buds, the chef doesn't compromise on the real flavors of India. In addition to that, they customize the spices accurately to suit the real Indian palate, not that half-hearted, unsynchronized flavors that other restaurants serve. I would always recommend Max Indisches over any other Indian restaurant I've visited in continental Europe. Five Stars to the restaurant manager.

Wonderful Indian restaurant in Bad Reichenhall The dishes under “house specialties” are personally prepared by the chef and are incredibly tasty and delicious. The prices are reasonable, not too expensive and if you like the typical Indian spices, this is a great place for you. We enjoyed it fantastically and the service was very friendly. As a starter there is the house baked bread made from pea flour (papadam) with 3 different sauces.

I was there with my wife for dinner. The service was prompt and very kind. The food and the drinks were delicious and obliging. I wonder why there were not too many people there at the time, maybe because of the soccer game. I can highly recommend this place for a healthy and enjoyable delicious dinner.

We had a delightful lunch at this restaurant, where the peaceful ambiance and stunning mountain views from the outdoor seating made for a perfect dining experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, enhancing our overall enjoyment. We ordered vegetarian dishes, including Dal Makhani, Palak Paneer, naan, and chapati, all of which were exceptionally tasty. To our pleasant surprise, extra salad and papad were provided without asking, and the meal was perfectly capped off with delicious digestive shots.

We have eaten Indian food so many times and have enough to compare. We really liked it and tasted great. The restaurant is totally inconspicuous, but if you like Indian food, you shouldn't be put off by the external impression (it looks like a simple beer garden from the outside). Very nice service, papadam in advance, you can sit in the beer garden when the weather is good. I ordered a vegetarian dish, which I really enjoyed. Raita was great, as was the naan bread with coconut (a poem). Very, very tasty food and great value for money! Only recommended.

The experience of ordering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes for a group of 15 was disappointing. The taste fell well short of expectations, and the service, which took an hour, was slow.

Worst service and took nearly one hour to serve the order, although the restaurant was empty. And taste is very bad. Total loss of time and money.

Unfortunately very disappointing. We ordered 2 vegetarian dishes. Both dishes were described as having vegetables, nuts, raisins...unfortunately one dish only had vegetable balls and sauce and mine had some vegetables and then the same sauce again... For the price of 14 € per dish I expect more than a standard sauce and a few vegetables...please save somewhere else and on the dishes...

The ambiance was really nice and feels like home. The people were really really kind and very helpful in their recommendations as well. We ordered the food and we got all of it within a short time. The service was excellent. The prices were standard and taste was really good too. Would recommend it. You can even request something that is not in the menu too. The food tastes really delicious, but no one can speak German. If you want to order something, you come right away, but you only speak broken English, so you don't understand anything

We had the food delivered. The main courses were tasty, but the levels of spiciness that you can choose make no sense at all. A slightly spicy dish was hotter than a very spicy dish. But none of it was really spicy. The breaded baked cauliflower is absolutely not suitable for delivery as it arrives completely wobbly and is also a catastrophe in terms of price. Far too expensive and unbalanced for the few pieces. The same as breaded chicken would have cost the same (?!). For the bread, you could have given four people more dip.

Small portions and a MASSIVE PRICE INCREASE. We have ordered from Max Indisches Restaurant several times and found the food decent -- good flavour but often very small portions (one chicken dish had only five or six small pieces of chicken buried in a mountain of sauce). We also consistently request spicy food and this request has never once been fulfilled -- our food is always lacking in heat, which is disappointing. However we appreciated that the restaurant was local, meaning a faster delivery time, and that the prices were lower than at the (more expensive but superior) Jaipur Restaurant in Freilassing. However, Jaipur Restaurant has recently been removed from the local food delivery app, leaving only Max Indisches Restaurant for Indian options. The result is that Max Indisches Restaurant has massively increased their prices. Last week we ordered chicken chaat for 6.90, tandoor chicken for 13.90, and garlic naan for 3.50. Today we wished to repeat the order and were dismayed to find that the prices for these three dishes on the only available delivery app are now 9.90, 18.90, and 4.90. These are huge increases, and insane prices for such small amounts of food. Nearly 5 euros for a piece of bread?! There is no justifying this increase, which seems motivated purely by the restaurant now having a monopoly on delivery in Bad Reichenhall. These prices are even higher than are advertised on their website (which are still higher than listed on the delivery app last week). We are *extremely* disappointed in these increases and will not be ordering regularly from Max Indisches Restaurant anymore -- despite what these restaurants seem to believe, their patrons are not made of money.

Very tasty food. Had paneer Kadai made spicy ad per out wish. Samosa was good. Dal shorbha was amazing. Garlic Naan also made more Indian authentic style. Mango Lassi was too good. Icing on cake was that papad was served at the start with 3 home made amazing chutneys. Another surprise was the salad served with main dish as is served in India. Overall one of the most amazing experience I have got in any European restaurant.

Had a very good meal there for the second time. Balanced spices rounded off the taste of the dishes. Easy linguistic communication when ordering was not an obstacle. We received our food and drinks quickly. The service was very friendly and attentive, but never intrusive. I can fully recommend the MAX.

Essen einwandfrei und eigentlich günstig. Service sehr engagiert, ein bissel Sprachprobleme aber net wild. Typische indische Musik im Hintergrund, nettes Ambiente. Schaut von außen nicht einladend aus, täuscht aber und der Geschmack ist wirklich gut, sagt ein Halb Inder der viel indisch isst. Daher nur zu empfehlen!

Die Dekoration ist für meinen Geschmack etwas kitschig und die indische Musik etwas laut und daher störend geraten. Das Essen hat guten indischen Standard, die Portionen und Preise sind normal. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, spricht aber nur sehr wenig deutsch. Das wären 3,5 Sterne, den halben gibt es für die sehr bequemen Sitzecken dazu.

Wir saßen draußen. Service, Essen und Preise waren sehr gut. Sehr umfangreiche Speisekarte. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Es passte einfach alles... Wir hatten ein Menü für zwei Personen für ca. 55 € bestellt und unsere isotonischen Getränke dazu. Es gab vorweg einen Mango -Prosecco und ich glaube Kichererbsen-Chips mit drei verschiedenen Dips, u.a. Joghurt-Minze, Tomate und eine für mich undefinierbare scharfe grüne Sauce. Wer es mag... Zum Hauptgang wurden drei verschiedene Gerichte gereicht: Einmal mit Lamm, dann noch Chicken Curry und Gemüsepfanne. Dazu einen gemischten Salat mit Naan-Brot neutral und einer großen Portion Butter-Reis. Als Dessert gab es Mandelbällchen mit Mangosauce. Ich finde ein gelungenes Abendessen mit Extras, da ich ein Bananenweizen bestellt hatte, welches nicht auf der Karte stand.

Prima indisches Essen und auch sehr bekömmlich. Die Schärfe wird je nach "Bedarf" angepasst. Im Allgemeinen ist das Essen aber sehr mild zubereitet. Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, auch wenn man ab und zu auf die englische Sprache ausweichen muss. Die Preise sind ok, für Bad Reichenhall eher preiswert. Tja, und obwohl Hochsaison und schlechtes Wetter war, konnten wir am Sonntag Mittag ohne Probleme mit sechs Leuten einen Platz bekommen. Für uns gut, aber für das Restaurant auf die Dauer eher schlecht. Also: Klare Empfehlung!

Da wir nur neugierig waren, haben wir nur etwas getrunken und dabei die Karte studiert, Karte ist großzügig, aber gesalzen. Essen bis 22:00 Uhr, wir waren um 9:15 ganz allein in einem riesigen Lokal. Ich glaube dieses Lokal wird in B'R'hall ein Flop, da daß Publikum hier nicht vorhanden ist.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und sind erstaunlich überaus positiv überrascht sehr zuvorkommend und freundliches Personal. Das Essen war überragend lecker. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

Lovely place, with good food (could have been a bit spicier though). We loved the authentic homemade chutneys, which are hard to come by. They have a nice outside seating area.

We came here to try it out, thinking typical indian food, but we were completely blown away! This is by far the best we've had in Germany. Spice level adjustable as you wish, excellent service. Food explodes with flavor no matter what you order. Absolutely top notch. Avoid the tourist traps and give them a try for a memorable experience! We also got complimentary mango sekt at the end. 6 stars!!

Seit 1985 esse ich immer wieder gerne in Indischen Restaurants. Dabei habe ich feststellen müssen, daß im Laufe der Jahre eine weitgehende "Normierung" stattgefunden hat. Während vor über 30 Jahren jedes Restaurant seine individuelle Note besaß und man schon beim Betreten der Örtlichkeit von einer wohlreichenden Duftwolke empfangen wurde. Das hat sich alles geändert! Trotzdem vergleiche ich immer noch die Restaurants mit meinem "Ur-Inder". Viele können dabei nicht besonders gut punkten, nur wenige halten diesem Vergleich stand. Max - Indisches Restaurant kann diesen Vergleichen gut standhalten und ist für mich in der Kategorie "Besseres Restaurant" einzustufen und hätte mit 5-Sternen bewertet werden müssen, aber ... Ich esse bei meinen Besuchen anfänglich immer das gleiche Gericht, um so möglichst objektiv die Speise beurteilen zu können. Fazit: Beim ersten Mal, das Essen war fantastisch! ***** Beim zweiten Mal, das Essen ließ zu wünschen übrig, die Sauce hatte einen unangenehmen Beigeschmack. *** Beim dritten Mal, das Essen war fantastisch! ***** Und nun zum letzten Mal, das Essen war das Geld nicht wert! Das Fleisch war kaum, unzureichend gewürzt und fade und die Sauce hatte nicht den erwünschten Geschmack und schmeckte irgendwie eigenwillig. ** So gebe ich in der Summe großzügige 4-Sterne und ich würde mir für die Zukunft etwas mehr Kontinuität wünschen.

das Max bietet hervorragende indische Küche zu einem sehr erschwinglichen Preis. Das Lokal ist sehr gepflegt und der Service anstandslos. Fünf Sterne nur nicht weil die Lokalität m.E. nicht besonders gemütlich ist.

I've eaten at maybe 100 Indian restaurants around the world and also cook Indian myself. This is among the best in terms of food. I had the chicken saag, which was truly perfect, with the chicken breast still tender. My wife had the mango duck, which was quite sweet, but that was her choice and expected. Naan bread was also perfect. The service is fast and good. The only complaint I have is the interior atmosphere needs improvement. Too bad the old Bavarians aren't very adventurous in food to discover this gem.
