Food great as always, very satisfied

Unfortunately I also have to revise my post. After a bike ride we wanted to have a drink at 9 p.m. In the beer garden there were still 3 tables occupied by guests who were eating something. We sat down at one of the two free tables. But the boss didn't even think it was necessary to come to the table to ask about wishes. Instead, he just stood in the door, muttered an unfriendly "nothing, it's closing time" and disappeared back inside to the regulars' table. So you really don't have to go there anymore. At the train station near W. the service was much friendlier.

Food and service is ok so far. Service is actually very friendly. Price performance is therefore also ok. Well, and the boss, you have to get along with his style, I think there's something cult-like about the way he acts.

So if you can't get along with this senior, you should pull your own nose. A hospitable restaurant like before, with great steaks, well-tapped beer and funny, sometimes bizarre, friendly guests (the delicious Slibowitz) just like us! See you soon again, hopefully for a long time!

Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the food and drinks in this restaurant because the unfriendly waitress (an approximately 80-year-old man) was unable to bring us anything about 1 1/2 hours before the official lunch break. Anyone who values ​​friendly and courteous service is apparently in the wrong place here.

We had a very good lunch and were served very friendly. Prices are reasonable. At the moment there is a special menu all about the chanterelle. We will come back.

Delicious food, top steak. Cash only, but there is a bank right opposite the restaurant. Friendly and attentive people. Garlic gravy (not a sauce as we know it) is really great

We've eaten here several times with the family and everyone has been thrilled every time. We have tried several dishes and so far everything has tasted great! Only recommended! 🤩

There were three of us in the restaurant. Lunch. And asparagus. Once with ham and once with turkey schnitzel and once a schnitzel with paprika sauce. Everything was very delicious. And the portions were also very good. Above all, the price was really great. Always my pleasure. Thanks to the kitchen. I'll go there again during asparagus season.

The food (Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes and salad) was very tasty and filling. The service was very friendly and brought the food in a reasonable time. There were also two slibowitzes on the house. The ingredients were all freshly prepared. I'll be happy to come back when I'm in the area again.

Quick update to my post from a year ago We were invited to the “Houken” for a birthday last Saturday, December 16th, 2023, and the “dear boss”, in my eyes an 80-year-old psychopath, directly insulted me as an axxxhole, a big asshole,…I’ll kill you. Why… I have no idea, maybe. because of my first comment when he insulted my wife in the worst possible way. He doesn't like women, except maybe those who are totally submissive. The insults were still in the kitchen, but it still continued. At the counter he waved his arms like a mental patient and gestured for me to leave or he would beat me to death. Joke come out... Since I don't attack old people, I went out with my wife. Should have reported him for the threat. But all the paperwork and time involved just isn't worth it. So in that sense, women not so loud or brash...he doesn't like that. PS: Oh yes, someone said I should have apologized, then maybe I would have. can stay. …..for what? That he insulted my wife a year ago and I should apologize for that. Yeah, sure. I have my wits about me and don't need the place. There are better ones in Geldern and the surrounding area.

Polecam jedzonko, przyszły ziemniaczki, krwisty setek, soczysty kotlet i dobre piwo. Można płacić tylko gotówką, ale obok jest bankomat. Wiele różnych dań Pyszne 10/10

Waren mit 7 Mann vor Ort. Super Chef, Essen ist für den Preis mehr als in Ordnung!

Wenn Essen der Grund ist, ein Restaurant zu besuchen, dann ist man hier absolut richtig. Ein herzlicher, gut gelaunter Empfang, gefolgt von tollem Service und leckerem Essen.

Super leckere Küche mit netter Bedienung von Chef

Jedesmal, wenn wir von Leverkusen nach kerken kommen, gehen wir dort essen. Sehr leckeres Essen, ein total netter Chef

Köstliches Jugoslawisches Essen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Nur zu empfehlen.

Heute das erste Mal da gewesen, da neu zugezogen. Ich holte Cevapcici zum mitnehmen. Die besten Cevapcici, die ich seit 10 Jahren essen durfte Natürlich gab es den obligatorischen Slivovitz zur Begrüßung. Der wird traditionell vor dem Essen als Aperitif getrunken. Mein „Živjeli!“ wurde mit einem zweiten Slivovitz belohnt. Das ist echte Gastfreundschaft! Der Salat war frisch und knackig mit einem leckeren Dressing, die Cevapcici sind keine Convenience Ware, sondern selbstgemacht und dementsprechend lecker. Die Pommes Frites waren auch sehr gut, sauberes Frittierfett also. Frisch gehackte Zwiebeln und Ajvar rundeten das Geschmackserlebnis ab Sehr gute Qualität zu einem fairen Preis. Hier gehe ich definitiv öfter hin. Weiter so!

Selbst mittags mal ein Bier zu trinken ist hier angenehm...

Ein typischer Dorfgasthof. Von innen etwas altbacken. Das Essen war sehr gut (Qualität und Menge), die Bedienung aufmerksam, die Preise wirklich günstig. Da gab es wirklich nichts zu meckern.

Hospitality at its finest. We stopped here on the way back to the U.K. as our toddler was screaming and needed something to eat. We were very nervous but the owner was so welcoming and accommodating even with our toddler. I had the schnitzel and my wife had the steak. Highly recommend

Nach langer Zeit das Restaurant wieder aufgemacht. Wir waren zum ersten Mal da. Die angebotenen Speisen waren gut zubereitet u. schmeckten uns, es war reichlich davon da. Die Getränke wurden schnell gebracht. Das Personal war freundlich. Hier kann man nochmal hingehen.

Haben heute Essen abgeholt. (Madagaskar) toll! Immer gerne wieder.

An verschiedenen Tagen während meines Aufenthalts in Nieukerk habe ich mir dort Essen geholt. Jedes Mal wurde ich nicht enttäuscht. Gute Portionen, sehr gut gegrillt, leckerer Djuwetsch-Reis und gut angemachte Salate.
