Very nice, clean location. Friendly, quick service. Short wait time. Price was OK.

We went bowling there, and the alley resembled a storage closet. Unfortunately, the food was at the level of a chip shop...lacking in love and, unfortunately, tasteless. I wouldn't recommend it, as the staff were also completely overwhelmed.

A large selection of dishes with reasonable value for money. The weekday lunch menu is also highly recommended. The service is excellent; everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The beer garden and the adjacent restaurant area are also very inviting. We felt very comfortable.

If a restaurant openly uses ready-made products, that's not fundamentally a problem for me. However, the price should clearly reflect that—and not be so high that it would actually "justify" freshly cooked food. I was served frozen food. Even the fried potatoes seemed more like they came from the oven than a pan. While the portions are generous, my schnitzel felt like two-thirds of it was breadcrumbed. SUMMARY: Loveless mass production, almost exclusively convenience food, served in a sterile, impersonal atmosphere—and all at, in my opinion, exorbitant prices.

My mom celebrated her birthday. Of course, we went to the Hornmühle. We almost always ate there before the renovations. They did a great job there, but unfortunately, it was a bit cramped. There were 12 of us. Of course, we made a reservation. After 10 minutes, the waiter came and we ordered our drinks. After 15 minutes, the waiter came and we ordered our dishes. And then nothing came. We waited an hour. Three tables that came after us got their food faster than us. When the food finally arrived, the fries were lukewarm, as were the pasta. The sirloin steaks were burnt. And the steak (ordered medium) was raw. The schnitzel was good, and so was the soup. We ordered drinks twice, and they were forgotten each time. There were far too few waiters, and on a Sunday of all days. I can't understand why, especially since we weren't the only ones there for a large party. The organization was terrible! The salad bar is fresh and the sauces are delicious. The few waiters who were there were nice and friendly, but unfortunately, as already mentioned, there weren't enough of them. Next time, we'll probably just have a drink or dessert there. Too bad! The marina in Rünthe, where we ate last week, is highly recommended.

The menu has something for (almost) every taste, and the staff is very friendly. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for the food, but the food is very good and plentiful. The value for money is also good. I always enjoy going there.

We had reserved a table for 9 people! The first drink was served immediately. After that, nothing happened. After about an hour, without ordering any more drinks or food, we paid. NEVER AGAIN HORNEMÜHLE!!!

The dining room is beautiful and comfortable. The server was a bit overwhelmed, at times clueless, but he kept apologizing. The salad from the salad bar was very fresh and delicious. The meat was overseasoned, and the fries were lukewarm, hard, and oversalted (you can see this in the photo; the server didn't react and forgot the mayo).

The food was good, but the wait for the food was 1.5 hours. Drink and food orders were taken after about an hour. Then we got the wrong drink order twice. There were only three employees, and everything was going haywire. At 3:30 p.m., we were asked to leave. They had to set the tables again for 5 p.m. So, folks, you have a staffing problem. They apologized, but it wasn't acceptable.

The food was tasty, but the presentation was rather poor. The service needs improvement (not all servers, but one can't do everything). Drinks sat on the counter for ages after ordering, and then a quick refill was poured to avoid being noticed.

Very tasty food, large selection. Good portions. Delicious salad selection at the buffet. Service was friendly, courteous, and attentive. Finally, some wait staff who can remember who's drinking what at the table. Prices are absolutely reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

After the beer garden opened... We ordered two salads, each very flavorful (with raspberry vinegar). The portions were generous. We'll be back!

Last night, 11 of us went to dinner at the Hornemühle. We all had good seats at a long table in the winter garden. Both the appetizers and all the main courses were excellent. The value for money was even 5 stars+. We'd be happy to come back.

Today we went to the Hornemühle restaurant for the first time, our son recommended it to us. We were accompanied. The service was very friendly. The food was really delicious. It was really worth it. We can definitely recommend it!😊😁

Were there on the second day of Easter. Tasty, friendly, very satisfied. Come again.

We wanted to get an impression so that we could possibly eat there with a large group. It's good that we tested it in advance... The greeting: "just sit where you want" - no good day, nothing!! It took a while for the service to arrive, even though the dining room was almost empty. The extremely flippant and arrogant manner of the younger waiter left more than to be desired. One waiter (there were 2 in total) didn't know what the other had said/done... we were only told by chance that we were allowed to get salad at which place. The soup in the lunch menu was watery with a few grains of rice. From the way it tasted, it was packet soup. Schnitzels were fresh, but of poor quality. The Champion sauce wasn't our cup of tea, but that's also a matter of taste. Far too many fries (better a higher quality piece of meat). The salad was almost frozen. Ice cold, so you could hardly get a decent taste. At least the dressings tasted good and fresh. For the entire time in this restaurant, the two waiters talked loudly about cart driving and other things, as well as about the lack of communication with the management - which is quite revealing. A lady at the next table had ordered a menu with croquettes but was given fries. When you said that she had ordered croquettes, the waiter replied: yes, then we'll make croquettes - the fries are too much for her anyway... I then heard the cook pretending that this lady had of course NOT ordered croquettes. There was loud laughter and speaking in a different language - definitely something that the guests shouldn't understand. The older waiter took over clearing our dishes. A while later he started folding napkins at the next table - without making any move to bring our dessert (which is expressly on the lunch menu). Since my husband and I were already totally disappointed with the service, we asked for the bill. Even then, no mention was made of the pending dessert. All in all: Absolutely no recommendation!!! I have forgotten the impression I had when I entered the restaurant: the view of the beer garden was actually significant - unfortunately it wasn't taken seriously. If you want lunch menus that are absolutely fine in terms of quality, we recommend the hacienda in Hamm... if you want something special with several people, you're in good hands with Hagedorn and Anno in BockumHövel, but also in the hacienda in Hamm and in Erdbüsken. Definitely here: NEVER AGAIN!!!

We had a lovely meal with the family and were well served.

Classic Balkan restaurant with Italian influences. Very friendly, competent and warm, family service staff. Good to very good value for money and fresh, tasty and honest cuisine. In summer there is a lovely beer garden in an excellent location. The interior needs a transformation in the direction of the current zeitgeist. But since the store is always full, this doesn't matter much here; The numerous guests and the staff give the restaurant a welcoming face. Absolutely recommended.

I won't set foot there again! My brothers and I were looking for good food and came across this restaurant and thought, "This could be delicious." But when I walked in, the staff looked me up and down as if I had no business being there. Then they tried to let us eat, saying, "Only for two hours." I find it extremely unfriendly, and the owners and employees should be ashamed of themselves.

Hello everyone On my little trip back home I had the pleasure of dining at the Hornemühle restaurant and it really is something special. I ordered a tomato soup as a starter and I dare say it is the best I have ever tasted. However, I don't usually drink liquids that aren't draft beer, but back to the tomato soup: there was a lot of power in it, and a lot of bread, and that's important if you want to fill someone like me up. For the main course I had a schnitzel with pepper sauce, you can't really go wrong with that. The sauce was good and the schnitzel was perfect. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very cozy with lots of candles and beautiful tablecloths. However, my waiter seemed even more depressed than my wife (she is in menopause and severely affected by hormonal changes). The nice atmosphere in the restaurant was somewhat spoiled by him, but all in all it was a nice experience and I'm looking forward to the day when I can eat in the Hornemühle restaurant again. We'll meet Again Ronnie.

We were there on Saturday evening. All six dishes were served at the same time and the quality of the food was very good. The price/performance ratio is completely fine. The service was quick and friendly. There was a small appetizer on the house and a schnapps with the bill.

Contrary to our expectations (we are always skeptical), all the food was top. Almost 300g of steak to the point... all the side dishes were perfect. Good pasta with fillet and sauce. Super tender duck for Christmas.

Were there for a birthday party. The table was set but the tablecloths were dirty with cigarette ash. Even though we were the first guests, we had to wait 45 minutes to order our food, although guests who arrived after us were already eating. The waiter's tone was a bit aggressive. also towards other guests. After ordering, it took another 45 minutes for the soup to arrive. Then there was another 30 minute wait until the food came. When we asked why it was taking so long, we were told "then you can't order soup." A schnitzel we ordered was still half raw, but the pork steak on the grill plate was grilled to death. We're still waiting for an additional portion of rice. In order to get a second drink, someone had to go to the counter to order because the waiter didn't show up to ask about drink requests. The restaurant saw me and other family members twice - the first and the last time

In fact, it's actually really tasty there. But I've gotten the wrong dish twice now. And when I wanted to complain about this I was looked at very strangely/angryly. That's why there are only two for eating.

Rich menu (Croatian-Italian and international) for every taste, inexpensive dishes. In the summer there is a beer garden outside, which will be further expanded; also well attended by cyclists. You can rent rooms for specific occasions; There is a bowling alley

Prompt service for lunch. The soup was classic and simply delicious. The salad buffet was fresh, but manageable, nothing special. There was a reasonable selection of main courses. We were even served a dish for lunch that was from the general menu. Thank you for this! The fish was well fried, the pork slices in a paprika sauce tasted delicious and spicy. The side dishes (potatoes and rice) were simply prepared but well done. Recommended for a quick, tasty lunch.

The Hornemühle has always been a guarantee for good food. I've never been disappointed. Salad buffet is sufficient. All dishes were always very delicious. The quantities served are also very good. Nobody goes home hungry. The service staff are very accommodating and are very nice, even if you knock over a glass of red wine and the entire tablecloth gets dirty... it was replaced in no time. We would be happy to come back.

A very nice restaurant with a really nice ambience. You feel very comfortable. The food is very tasty, attractively prepared and cheap compared to other places. The staff is friendly and funny.

We found this restaurant by chance while passing through. I ordered a grill plate and my wife ordered the pork fillet. Both were very tasty and plentiful. The side salad and fries were also very good. The service is great. We can highly recommend this restaurant.

As always, we felt very comfortable when we were in Werne. There is always something delicious to eat. Great stuff.

We were here last weekend. It was very crowded, but it was nice to sit outside in the beer garden. The food was very good, I had tagliatelle with seafood, it tasted very good and was more than enough. My husband had the Hornemühle plate, which also tasted very good and he couldn't finish it. Because it was so full, we unfortunately had to wait a long time, but we completely understood that, the service was also very friendly and always tried to make sure that we got drinks. Time was also taken for a little chat. Price/performance completely fine. We will definitely come back.

Sat outside when the weather was nice. It was difficult to find a decent place to sit, even though there was still plenty to choose from at the time. Either you sat crookedly in your chair or the table wobbled. I also had no intention of placing beer mats under the table to provide a little relief. My schnitzel, and I speak exclusively for myself and my companion, was incredibly fatty. The meat was good, but the breading was drowned in fat and had an indefinable, unpleasant aftertaste. It is possible that meat and fish were fried in the same fat. Ultimately only the kitchen knows... It just didn't taste good and so I didn't finish it, which was a shame for me... The fries served with it were crispy and fried, but some were completely over-salted. The service was okay to some extent, but we had to ask for our bill three times. At that time the restaurant was busy, but not overcrowded. Maybe one less cigarette break during service and a little more attention to the guest. Then we wouldn't have had to wait 20 minutes to pay.

Unfortunately that was nothing....🤷‍♂️ It's been a while since we returned to the Hornemühle. Everything as usual. Cozy guest room as it has been for decades.... To our surprise, there was delicious non-alcoholic Potts wheat beer on tap. A small appetizer first. Salad from the rich buffet. So far everything is good so far. Ordered and received two Hornemühle skewers for 23.90 each. Delicious large portion of fried potatoes. 2 x small beef steaks and a pork medallion per skewer. This one was ok. The beef was unfortunately too well done and very mixed and therefore unfortunately very tough. Unfortunately the worst beef we have been served in a very long time... This was also communicated by the waiter when asked. Unfortunately, this was not addressed. Two ladies from the next table also complained about the bad beef and ended up leaving it on their plate... Bill asks for two free Julischka and that's it. "Dear shopper or cook." For the price of the skewer, such poor quality meat is not acceptable. If several guests complain about the meat, this must be investigated!!! Unfortunately you lost your chance with us. With the prices that are charged in the catering industry these days, the quality simply has to be right. We know better addresses that serve top food for the same money... Please work on it otherwise the guests will run away from you...

Unfortunately, the waiter couldn't cope with the onslaught in the slightest - the greeting from the kitchen was completely forgotten at the table next to us - it was also clear to him that he didn't enjoy the work in the slightest - unfortunately the food was 08/15 too much Side dishes, in our case fries, which were unfortunately too crispy - but unfortunately not enough of the really delicious ajvar, carelessly brought to the plate... newly arrived guests sat at the table for a long time - without that at least Drinks have already been taken... all in all, with little effort you could create a much friendlier atmosphere and make the guest happy-

The restaurant was busy for a Sunday evening. When spontaneously requesting a table for 6 people, one could have said in advance that it would take at least an hour for the food to arrive. It wasn't said. A family of four who came about an hour after us got their food earlier than us. The service apologized for the late meal, but nothing more.

We ate here for the first time in a long time. The last time, however, was with the previous owner, where we were not so happy with the ride. This time, however, it was great and on a Monday it was so full outside that almost every table was occupied, so we were lucky to get a nice table for two in the back area when the weather was great. The staff was super friendly, very competent in providing advice and quick to serve. We were definitely thrilled and will definitely be back!

Were there on July 22nd, 2024. In my opinion, the local is getting a bit old. We sat outside. It smelled from time to time, but I think that's because of the stream that flows next to it. Were there at 5 p.m. The food wasn't served until 7 p.m. Waited a whopping 2 hours for food, despite a reservation. I had Balkan Steak (minced steak with cheese filling). It was really tasty, but unfortunately some of it was still raw. The waiters were visibly overwhelmed and forgot the drinks they had ordered several times. All in all, I would only come here in small groups (4 people).

So nice to visit a restaurant where there is a “real” chef in the kitchen! No matter what I ate here, everything was always great. Service is very friendly and does its best, which is sometimes not quite enough when the house is full. However, we haven't died of thirst here yet. My insider tip: Linguine in truffle sauce (with beef or pork fillet tips and…) a dream!!!!!

A very good kitchen, the food was very tasty and plentiful, would love to come back.

There were two of us eating there today. From the beginning we felt uncomfortable. There was hardly anyone saying hello or being friendly at all. We thought it might be a language barrier, which of course wouldn't be a problem if we only spoke in short sentences. Then the regular customers arrived and the atmosphere was completely different. Totally relaxed. The bill was simply slapped on the table and the amount wasn't even said. Whatever the reason, we were definitely treated differently. Therefore we wouldn't come back. Food is ok.

The food there is very good and very tasty. The service staff is top, very friendly, fast and attentive. The chef is very very good. And everything is very warm when you go out to eat with 16 people and when you order from the menu, everyone gets their meal together. I can only recommend it. It's it resists.

We had dinner at Hornemühle today (March 15, 2024). I had reserved a table, which worked out great. We women had schnitzel Hawaii, the men had steak 🥩 and rib-eye steak. Everything was delicious, the Café de Paris sauce with the steak was a poem. All in all, highly recommended. Service very friendly. We'll be back 🤗🤩👍🏻

If you want to know why things are currently looking difficult in many catering establishments, then you've come to the right place. The service seemed insecure/overwhelmed and tried to cover this up with attempted friendliness. As you can read, that didn't quite work. The food: The menu certainly had one or two highlights hidden within it, but then came the great disillusionment when the food was served live and in color in front of a stand. The snails were drowned in Bernaise from the tetrapak, a pleasure both visually and in terms of taste - NOT. The main courses (including Cevapcici, a Caribbean schnitzel, Rumpsteak Surf & Turf) followed the same path. Cevapcici were convenience products, the Caribbean schnitzel also came from the factory and the topping looked like a 5 mm thick concrete slab with a cheese look. The steak was rare (unasked for) which I personally generally like. However, it was rare because the outside was processed with great heat, which resulted in a decent crust (so far so good). However, the poor cow didn't have time to transfer some temperature to the inside of the meat. Conclusion: You don't get sick from visiting and if you mainly like "heated" food because of convenience, then always go to the store
