A wonderful evening! We were here recently and were absolutely thrilled. The host was super friendly and attentive from the very first minute. We immediately felt at home. The food was an absolute highlight – honest, home-style cooking that was simply delicious. You can tell that a lot of love goes into the cooking here. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

From the outside, Hofgut Erbach appears rather unassuming, but from the inside, it has a rustic feel. What awaited us was overwhelming. We arrived very late (9 p.m.) and received a warm welcome. Incredibly excellent service, friendly and polite, always accompanied by a smile. The food was the best home-cooked, traditional German food we've had in a long time! An absolute insider tip! And once again, a lesson for life: don't be fooled by the outside, it's what's inside that counts!

Wein und insbesondere die nichtalkoholischen Getränke sind lecker. Dazu kommt ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und deshalb kommen wir immer gerne wieder hin.

We stumbled upon this restaurant almost by chance and were lucky that a table was still available. We've rarely had such good and tasty food. A great evening with a nice host. We had arranged to meet at the Hofgut for dinner. From the outside it seemed quite inconspicuous, but this was remedied inside by a very cozy atmosphere and a very cheerful host. The food was simply fantastic. I had goose which was cooked perfectly. All in all a very harmonious evening.

We ate at Hofgut Erbach on a recommendation. We were thrilled. The rather inconspicuous restaurant is really recommended. We were served very nicely by the landlord. We were very pleased with the wines and especially the food. We chose cheese spaetzle and pork strips with spaetzle. Everything is delicious and not made from bags! Unfortunately we didn't manage to have dessert. So kudos to the kitchen (wife)! We'll come back on our next vacation.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Rheingau. Run by a couple. Small menu but extremely tasty. There is always good wine in a rustic atmosphere. Don't be put off by the exterior appearance of the building.

Today we were guests at Hofgut Erbach and what should I write? ....I agree with the previous positive reviews. The restaurant is family-run by a married couple. We felt like we were in the living room of friends. Very very warm service. The food was incredibly tasty, excellent home-style cooking, cooked by my wife. We really have a real one Rheingau-Perle discovered, just like Sean Connery did many years ago. We will be back.

A place that you thought didn't exist anymore today. Completely inconspicuous from the outside, there is a hidden gem of good cuisine and warm hospitality that you only know from your grandparents. A reservation is strongly recommended.

Both the host and the food were great. Seven of us spontaneously went there, everyone had something different and everyone was very happy with their food. The decor is very rustic and the atmosphere is cozy. There is German home cooking, but there are also some vegetarian options. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented on the plate. This time sat in the outdoor garden area: an absolute no go!!! Dirty, unkempt, filthy, totally uncomfortable. Status: 60s! Table height not suitable for eating. Wobbly plastic chairs. 😱

We contacted the restaurant by phone to reserve a table in advance. We were informed that this was not possible on the terrace. But we could get a table with a little waiting time or inside without any problems and without advance reservation. Shortly afterwards, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that the terrace was completely occupied for the next 1.5 hours and that the interior was also completely reserved and that we could not be offered a table, even though the entire interior was completely deserted!! It's annoying that they had to go all the way for this!

We went to the Hofgut Erbach on Saturday evening as a group of 8 + a small child. The food was exactly as expected – very good German cuisine. Owner-managed and the food is homemade. Something to eat was also provided for our son, including space to change his diaper and a high chair.

Restaurant run by a couple. Classic but perfect comfort food and great service. Just what you want after a good day! Especially all the homemade carbs were spectacular! Spätzle to die for, honestly you could order them separately and have a great time.

I had dinner there yesterday with my wife and son. Little piece of jewelry, that's all I can say. At first impression the card was very small for my wife. But that is put into perspective after eating. What is offered here is what you can do 100%. You don't need 15 schnitzel variations. The food was very, very good. It's hard to impress me as a butcher, unless you do it the way I experienced it yesterday. A sauce that has been drawn correctly, from the bones, as one should expect, but which is often not implemented. Strong in taste, reduced 2 or even 3 times. That blew me away. plus the freshness of the food, in the salt beetroot, not from a jar, but freshly made, the salad is not drowned in the dressing. Simply wonderful... I could go on and on about the food, but you know what, go there yourself and try it. No matter what it is, it will enchant you and put a smile on your face, that's how it was for me and my two loved ones. The innkeeper as a host was also very nice and accommodating. All in all, it's worth making a detour here. Don't let the simplicity unsettle you.

Super delicious food in a cozy atmosphere.

We are from Erbach and have been here several times. Now, much too late, finally our review. :-) My absolute favorite dish is the sliced ​​pork. It is prepared from the fillet and is always perfectly cooked at the time of serving. It is served in a super tasty mushroom cream sauce that is not overly seasoned at all but has a natural taste alongside (not on top of!) the homemade spaetzle on a always warm plate. The homemade spaetzle is also just as it should be. Before serving, they are “fried” again very briefly (in butter?) so that subtle roasted aromas are sometimes created. Only those who love what they do do something like that. Spaetzle and Geschnetzeltes can then be eaten together or separately, depending on your taste - that's how it should be! The salad is always fresh and crunchy and offers a nice contrast to the hearty meat. I don't know what else could be perfected about this dish! The drinks are always good too. Soft drinks are always fresh and the pilsner is perfectly tapped. There is also a small selection of special bottled beers - just ask. The whiskey selection is also said to be very good, but unfortunately I'm not a whiskey drinker. The daily classic desserts are also always a hit! Unfortunately, there is hardly anything like that today. The innkeeper is still a real innkeeper, a host through and through and his service is in no way inferior to the quality of his wife in the kitchen. Attentive, courteous and with a lot of passion and love for the matter. I won't say anything about his little nightcaps - you'll have to try them out for yourself. :-) I love the ambience, which is largely influenced by the great host. It's just right that everything in the rooms has remained the same. My highlight is the old counter with a small bar in the middle of the room, which gives the whole thing a special cosiness.

Wir waren mit 3 Erwachsenen und zwei kleinen auf gut Glück in dem Restaurant. Was soll ich sagen? Ich würde so weit gehen, zu sagen, dass dies einer der wenigen Perlen im Rhein-Main-Gebiet ist. Hinweis! NUR BARZAHLUNG MÖGLICH Das Ambiente: Von aussen eher unscheinbar und vielleicht nicht direkt einladend - aber probier's aus! Urig, wie vor 30 Jahren (soweit man sich eben erinnern kann) mit langen Holzbänken, entsprechender Deko etc . - Super! Parkplätze habe ich zumindest keine gesehen. Der Service: Man fühlt sich hier einfach wohl. Total freundlich und zuvorkommend ist der Wirt. Damen werden stets zuerst bedient, Tageskarte wird am Tisch präsentiert etc. - alte Schule eben. Tatsächlich gibt's solchen Service kaum noch. Das Essen: Alle Speisen waren super - es hat jedem Geschmeckt. Wenig Salz und Zucker, sowohl in den Speisen als auch in den Pommrs - das lass ich mir loben. Hier schmeckt man Dinge (kein Witz) die man in einem Schnitzelhaus für 12,50€ nicht schmeckt. Die Kartoffelscheiben, der Salat und das Fleisch mit der Sauce.. Leute ich darf nicht darüber nachdenken.. Schon wirklich lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Die Preise sind etwas höher - aber sind wir mal ehrlich - das zahlt man gerne + Trinkgeld für das runde Gesamtpaket das man kulinarisch und vom Servic erhält. Wünschenswert: Eine Belüftung bzw. Gelegentliches Lüften für einen Sauerstoff austausch wäre nicht schlecht ;) ich und jeder andere weiß nach 3 Tagen noch, wo ich essen war.

Fantastisch! Wie viele Rezensent:innen sind wir eher durch Zufall hier gelandet (montags offen, großes Plus im Rheingau!) und waren begeistert. Extrem freundliche und kompetente Beratung (insbesondere was die 60 verschiedenen Whiskeys angeht), gutes und preiswertes Essen, entspannte und herzliche Atmosphäre mit offenbar viel Stammkund:innen, zum Abschluss noch ein spannender “Absacker” - wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Abend! Wir haben hier unsere "Grundlage" für das legendäre Chilly Gonzalez-Dauerregenkonzert 🌧️🎹🎙️im Rahmen des Knyphausen-Heimspiels gelegt. Das Ambiente ist recht rustikal, was es aber auch wieder irgendwie charmant macht. Essen 🍽️, Wein 🍷 und Wirt haben jedenfalls voll überzeugt, sodass wir nach dem Chilly-Konzert wiederum die Wartezeit (Zugfahrt nach Wiesbaden) zum Trocknen 😉 hier verbracht haben und den zuvor versäumten Nachtisch zu uns genommen haben. 😋.

Hier gibt es super leckere deutsche Gerichte. Großes Lob an die Köchin! Der Wirt ist immer für ein nettes Gespräch zu haben und bedient selbst in dem kleinen urigen Restaurant. Auch wenn es keinen Online Auftritt gibt, lohnt es sich vorbeizuschauen und sich von der wechselnden Speisekarte etwas feines auszusuchen. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne!

Wir waren mit sieben Personen nach einem Ausflug zum Abendessen zu Gast. Der Wirt ist sehr freundlich , alles war sehr lecker und das Essen kam gleichzeitig für alle auf den Tisch. Hier kocht die Wirtin selbst - wirklich toll, urig , lecker und einfach authentisch schön 👍👍👍
