I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant several times. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty, the meat was always perfectly prepared. The events are definitely a highlight. The Valentine's dinner was a wonderful experience with loving decoration and an impressive selection of delicacies in the five-course menu. While eating mussels, we were amazed by the variety of preparation options. The starter was delicious and the buffet with three different varieties left nothing to be desired. We had a hard time deciding on the best flavor. In summer it is particularly nice to sit outside in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The Hessmühle is our regular restaurant. Always very tasty food, at fair prices. Very nice atmosphere and very nice outdoor area. Very family run. You always feel in good hands and noticed here.

Yesterday we were in the Hessmühle for the first time. The food was very good and the atmosphere is nice, we felt comfortable. The service was very friendly. We have already reserved a table for October and would love to come back 😊

We were there again yesterday. However, the first time we sat outside. A very cozy beer garden. Sort of. The service staff was very attentive. There are even ten stars for this. The food was first class as usual. Simply delicious and perfect. We'd love to come back.

Very nice rural, classic atmosphere, with a beautiful outside terrace. Very good and friendly service, the dishes we tried were very tasty and beautifully presented. Reasonably priced based on the freshness and ingredients of the food. All in all a very nice afternoon.

From the location to the food to the service - simply first class!

Maybe you should put up a sign saying "We don't want your money", after the aperitif there was nothing more to drink, dessert cards were not brought despite ordering, no one asked for espresso and the food, which tasted good, was carelessly presented and the plates were not garnished , it was nothing, nothing at all. And when I pointed out that we would have liked to eat more from the blonde lady, no apology, no, thank you anyway, not a nice evening, nothing, just nothing. I was a restaurateur myself for thirty years, I could have cooked all of these dishes at home. You go to a restaurant to enjoy the ambience, to be pampered, to treat yourself to something. Apart from the fact that the food tasted good and the beer garden was really nice, nothing else was available. Not good and unfortunately a touch too arrogant.

We spent a very nice evening there. Everything was perfect and the beer garden is great.

The food was very good, as it always has been before, but this time the portions were too big for us. We were given large portions, but we couldn't eat everything because there was too much. Maybe we also forgot to specify the small portion, but everything was great. We were just embarrassed that we had the big ones Portions couldn't eat everything. Cheese cream soup with salmon was great, my son wanted to get every drop out of the soup bowl, it was that good. Top

Always very tasty. We often and enjoy eating here. Friendly, nice and attentive team. Never had a bad meal there or had a bad experience. Of course, with a full house at Christmas or Easter, you have to have time and patience, like everywhere else. But when you go out to eat, you should also take the time and patience on days like this. They try very, very hard. Many things can be done in response to requests and we respond to requests. Close to the forest. Therefore very quiet, perfect for children. Stays for long periods of sitting or walking after eating. We love being here ❤️

The family celebration was very well organized. All in all a nice place to stop.

What can you say, absolutely great for years

Yesterday we were back in the Hessmühle for a long time. We always had a good meal there, but yesterday it was a disaster It took us longer to read the menu than the food was prepared and served. We entered the restaurant at 6:40 p.m. and were back in the car at 7:10 p.m. The salad we ate was good, but the main course "pork schnitzel with pepper sauce" was worse than at the snack bar. Hot on the outside and cold on the inside. The sauce was a mush with 4 red peppercorns. I can't understand how you can make such a bad sauce and the one that comes out of the bag at least still has some flavor. Then the waiter shouted from the door across half the restaurant, “It was tasty”. Fine way to treat the guests. We also missed the greeting from the kitchen, but that isn't available at the snack bar either. We were so disappointed. My wife and I just looked at each other and said we would have eaten better and much cheaper at the snack bar. That's it.

Very good food, attentive service staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Not cheap in terms of price, but the food was worth it. Really recommended.

Last Sunday evening I invited my family to dinner for my birthday. Shortly after we were served the aperitif, the side salad was brought, even though we expressly emphasized that we wanted to take our time. When we asked, a basket with exactly 5 counted slices of flute was served. Only a short time later the main course arrived - 4 times the veal cordon bleu advertised on the recommendation menu and a fish variation. We criticized the meat - completely identical looking meatballs wrapped in a dark brown hard breading, served on a brown, tasteless sauce with hash browns. The boss explained to us that this was the house's special method of preparation. When I asked what breading he used, he admitted that he had been given the wrong breading. Sorry, am I in a restaurant or a fast food joint? We always really liked the Hessmühle, not least because of the white-covered tables and the friendly service. A 'greeting from the kitchen' now seems to be abandoned and the attractive design of the dishes no longer seems to play a role. The highlight, however, was that a second portion of flutes (again exactly 5 slices) was charged at €1.70. This is how you lose guests...what a shame!

Quaint restaurant with a good home-style menu. The food came very quickly despite the large number of visitors. Also very tasty.

A converted hunting lodge in a quiet forest location. The outdoor area invites hikers to take a break in summer. There is also a cozy atmosphere inside. The food is appropriate for the standard and can be described as good, middle-class.

Super nice team, the food is also super tasty. I can only recommend. We also felt very comfortable there.

We celebrated our Christmas party here with our company. Despite our large number of people, the food was great and the service was attentive and friendly at all times. We can only thank Frank and his team for this thoroughly successful evening.

Top! Wir waren jetzt das zweite Mal für dieses Jahr dort. Excellenter Service! Das Käsesüppchen bleibt wohl mein Favorit dort :) Sehr sauber, sicher und lecker! Es wird immer draußen und drinnen ein Tisch reserviert, so das man je nach Bedarf Wechseln kann, wenn es zum Beispiel zu kalt wird. Es ist immer ein Genusserlebnis dort zu Speisen, klare Weiterempfehlung. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder. Vielen Dank!

Die Atmosphäre und das Essen sind sehr gut. Auch das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.....der Weg zu diesem Restaurant ist sehr abenteuerlich. Viele Schlaglöcher und sehr dunkel. Auch der Parkplatz ist mit vielen Schlaglöcher übersät, deren Tiefe man wegen dem Wasser nicht erkennen kann.

Tip Top Essen, sehr nettes aufmerksames Personal. Ambiente etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber genau das hat was. 👍

Ehemaliges Jagdschloss, schön im Wald gelegen mit guter deutscher Küche zu fairen Preisen. Auch für grössere GeselIschaften geeignet. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Im Sommer kann man auch draussen, unter den schönen, alten Linden speisen.

Wir waren 12 Personen und haben draußen unter den Plantanen ein schönen Platz, das Essen von der Karte war bei allen sehr zufrieden. Jedoch hat es mit den Getränke 30 min gedauert und mit dem Essen 1,5 Std zu lange wie ich finde.

Schönes Restaurant und immer freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen kann man empfehlen und im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen. Also empfehlenswert.

Sehr gutes Speiselokal mit vorzüglichem Sevice und gutet Küche

Wir hatten einen Geburtstag dort gefeiert. Die Ambiente, und die Bedienung waren top. Sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Das Essen war mega lecker! Jeder Wunsch würde erfüllt. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Leider mussten wir auf ca. 15 Minuten warten bis jemand an den Tisch kam um zu fragen was wir zu trinken wollen. Dann kamen die Getränke Wasser ohne Gläser. Diese musste man extra verlangen. Wieder warten. Nach 20 Minuten kam jemand um die Bestellung aufzunehmen.! Das Essen schmeckte einigermaßen. Preis -Leistung ……. Zuhause angekommen hatte ich von der Fisch-Variation fürchterliche Magenkrämpfe-Durchfall volles Programm. So stelle ich mir Mittagessen unter Freunden nicht vor.

Wir haben im Biergarten gegessen. Wunderbar angelegt. Das Essen ist auch super.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Ich hatte einen Salat mit paniertem Schweinefilet. Die einzelnen Salate waren natürlich frisch und sehr lecker. Die Angestellten sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell. Das Hausgemachte Eis war ebenfalls ein Genuss ich kann es nur empfehlen. Eine Reservierung ist nötig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war fein . Aber Teuer . Service Katastrophe 2 Stunden aufs Essen gewartet... Und im Nachhinein gesagt bekommen ach ja wir hatten ne Gesellschaft Frechheit .

Wir waren am 10.07.2022 in diesem schönen Ambiente. Sehr nettes Personal und haben sich sehr zuvorkommend um uns gekümmert. Wollten zuerst draußen sitzen, wegen erhöhtem Wespenaufkommen haben wir uns aber dann doch für drinnen entschieden😅 Das Essen und der Service war auch richtig richtig gut👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Im großen und ganzen kann ich „DIE HESSMÜHLE“ nur weiterempfehlen

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, für jeden Anlass geeignet, ob für größere Gruppen oder Familienfeiern, als Ausflugsziel oder einfach nur um gut zu essen. Der Biergarten ein Traum. Das Personal sehr freundlich und kompetent, Küche ausgezeichnet. Auf der ausgewogenen Speisekarte sollte jeder etwas nach seinem Geschmack finden. Preis- Leistung durchaus angemessen. (Käserahmsüppchen, Kalbs-Cordon-Bleu sehr zu empfehlen)
