Excellent Service Meets Culinary Disaster The staff was truly very friendly – ​​that definitely needs to be emphasized. The rice and mushrooms were also delicious. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. As far as the food is concerned, this was the worst Chinese restaurant experience I've ever had. The quality of the dishes (apart from the side dishes) was mostly substandard: The calamari rings were not only cold but completely dried out. The salmon tasted musty and had no flavor whatsoever of fresh fish. My attempt at a piece of cheesecake for dessert was a complete flop: The taste was indefinable, and I had the impression that the dessert was about to go bad. The atmosphere in the restaurant, with its all-you-can-drink policy, also takes some getting used to. When bottles are left on the tables and people are drinking from them without glasses, the ambiance unfortunately feels more like a simple snack bar than a cozy one. It's a real shame that the very friendly service couldn't compensate for the poor food and the unpleasant atmosphere. Thank you for your reply! Pleasantly furnished. The flat rate for drinks is very reasonable, even if it is a bit thin on the ground in places. The food is OK, but not outstanding. Many people here have praised the service, but I can't say the same. The plates were cleared away very rudely, and you would have expected a smile in vain. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the staff. The buffet is open until 9:00 p.m. and the restaurant is open until 10:00 p.m. They then cleared up at around 9:20 p.m. I understand that this has to be done, but it was done so loudly that at times you couldn't even speak to the person sitting across from you. All in all, I would give the restaurant another chance.

One significant criticism, however, concerns the sanitary situation: During our visit on a busy Saturday evening, neither the men's nor the women's restrooms were available. Only one accessible restroom was available for all guests – which is insufficient at full capacity. Especially in a busy restaurant, functioning and adequate sanitary facilities should be a matter of course. There is an urgent need for action here. A temporary mobile restroom solution would at least be a temporary solution. Overall: good food and friendly service, but a deduction in the rating due to the inadequate sanitary situation.

I found the restaurant by chance online and tried it out right away. The buffet is really great, with a huge selection. The staff is very friendly. There's a special room in the restaurant for children to play and watch TV. This way, the whole family can sit together in peace, eat, and enjoy themselves.

Large Chinese restaurant with a wide selection at the all-you-can-eat buffet. Unfortunately, the quality of the produce has declined somewhat. Everything used to be fresh, but now they only care about quantity. Oven-baked fries are not fresh, old, and hard. Mayo and ketchup tubes are empty. There's never enough duck. Service is friendly and attentive, but can't keep up. There are often a lot of families with small children there, so if you want a quiet meal, this isn't the place for you. What saves the business is the price. However, due to the above-mentioned circumstances, the restaurant as a whole is unfortunately no longer what it used to be.

We went to Hao Ting on Saturday, August 23, 2025, for the lunch buffet with grill. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. There was only a small selection of fresh meat and fish to choose from. The grilled dishes were very well cooked and barely chewable; the small calamari were completely unchewable and as tough as a rubber ball. Some dishes from the Chinese buffet were very overseasoned, such as the mushrooms. The chocolate fountain wasn't even turned on at first. Upon request, it was turned on around 2:30 p.m., but it hadn't stopped flowing until we left (apparently not part of the lunch buffet). The drinks selection for flat-rate users deserves special mention. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is on the ground floor and easily accessible, and there's even a disabled toilet. We are very disappointed and are saving ourselves the trip from Witten; there are certainly better places.

This time I picked up food, bought through To Good to Go for €5 per portion. I was able to tell them beforehand what I didn't like. I brought a large Tupperware container, which was filled to the brim. Very tasty, I highly recommend it.

A pleasant atmosphere with a not-so-large buffet of ready-made dishes, but a respectable Mongolian buffet. Everything is delicious and apparently of good quality. I can't recommend it. I ate there today. The soup pot was missing its handle, so the metal rod was very hot. The food was also very dry (from sitting for so long). They only refilled it when I asked, and that took a while. I'm one experience wiser now.

I was excited about the idea that you could also add an all-you-can-eat flat rate drink. It then costs €30.90 on weekday evenings. But now, unfortunately, the negative. Everything from the buffet was cold and tasted absolutely unimpressive. The plates that you can bring back for frying were returned with food soaked in oil. The sauces were very diluted. The ice cream was so hard that it was quite difficult to get it out and it really didn't taste like what it was supposed to. The soft serve ice cream tasted of chemicals. On top of that, there was much less selection than at the usual all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurants. I really hate writing bad reviews, but we paid €30.90 per person for incredibly bad food and very little choice. It's a shame...

I am very positively surprised. We (5 people) were there during the week, which is why it was very quiet, it seemed as if only a few people had gotten lost in this restaurant. There were maybe 30 guests in total (including us) in the house from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the children were particularly impressed by the “fish pond” in the entrance area. If it gets crowded here, I can imagine it being relatively loud and crowded, but unfortunately I can't say anything about that since we had a very quiet day The service was super accommodating and very friendly. You definitely felt welcome and in good hands here. The food was quite good compared to other Chinese restaurants in this price range and significantly less greasy, which meant that my stomach tolerated it very well that evening, which is not always common in Asian restaurants. My favorites here were the breaded shrimp, sweet and sour pork (never had anything like it before) and the tomato mozzarella snacks with balsamic vinegar. But almost all the other dishes were good with a few exceptions. However, the desserts are absolutely the same as at any Asian buffet, thawed frozen products. Just like leader rolls, calamari etc. But that's not why you come here. The only thing I haven't come across is the baked pudding and it was just awesome. A chocolate fountain is also available for lovers. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the sushi wasn't that good, I was hoping for more because I'm a real sushi fan. So far I haven't seen an Asian buffet that scores with really good sushi. The chicken curry seemed slightly salty. All in all, definitely recommended, we will definitely come back!

It's a very nicely decorated Chinese, typical buffet restaurant. The service was really nice, the flat drinks are really worth it, the selection is great. But the food was really bad. Tough steak, bland vegetables, "crispy" chicken limp, seemed like molded meat. That's how it went. No reason for another visit, the quality was really quite low. But it was nice there. Oh yes, toilet: the smell was like a sewer, you were almost full just there. Sorry for the bad review, but unfortunately that's how it was.

This is just my honest opinion about a visit with 3 people last Saturday at 1 p.m. We have known the restaurant for many years and have always been satisfied and have also celebrated some birthdays there with up to 20 people. And you can always overlook one thing or another. But on Saturday it was like this: you arrive at 1 p.m., lunch break from 3 p.m., you pay 22.60 euros per person incl. Drinks. The buffet is slimmed down compared to the evening format, but that's completely OK given the price. But......that after asking several times you no longer get fries, bananas, duck or something similar or that you don't get refills, that's not possible. I politely asked why that was the case and was told we won't be doing any more because it's closing in an hour. Therefore, at that moment, the smaller buffet remained an even smaller one, which was careless and cold, etc. Wrong labeling, you scraped together the leftovers. Paid just under 69 euros for 3 people. A joke.........I'd rather pay 80 euros but then have everything And the quality of the food available was not good. Cold, dry, etc... Too bad..............

We loved our visit to the restaurant! The concept of all you can eat and all you can drink (only if you want it) is simply unbeatable, and the food was really delicious. There was a huge selection of dishes - there really was something for everyone! Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. I really can't understand the bad reviews. The service for us was top and everything was just right!! A real highlight was the service robot that brought the food to our table. You really don't experience something like that often and it was a great addition to the modern ambience. The ice cream maker was also particularly fun. There was an endless selection of ice cream and dessert! We will definitely come back and can only recommend it to everyone.

I really like eating at this Chinese buffet. I'm always very satisfied and the service there using the cat robot is very entertaining and good. We were there on a Sunday when it was 30°, which for me also excuses the fact that the bowls were always only subtly filled, but refilled. Unfortunately the sushi was nothing. Eh, only very little on the tray, rice with vegetables and only 3 salmon suhi! We were very disappointed then. Unfortunately, the cleanliness wasn't inviting either. We found the staff to be uncharacteristically unfriendly, rude, short and actually never seen. The prepared plates were constantly left somewhere on the table and none of the 9 of us knew whose plate it was. As I was making coffee at the machine, a waitress came over, was working and the coffee spilled onto my dress. After a quick “sorry” she was gone and that was it. The only positive thing was the drink quality. With the flat you can get as many drinks of any kind “yourself”! At €29.90 you should take advantage of that! We won't go there anymore! 3* for the food because the hot bar was ok!

But what was positive and really tasty were the shrimps with fried noodles, they actually take out the stars. It's a shame it was always good there, hopefully just a bad day today...??

There are now restaurants where you pay 22 euros with drinks, and just under 29 euros for the small buffet... phew. And then warm, tapped beer arrives at the table! Don't do it! An Asian as we know it. The ambience is getting old. The food is tasty and the raw meat and fish are fresh and properly chilled, which can be prepared on the grill if you want. We tried this Chinese restaurant today because we were blinded by the reviews. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Sushi selection was 0 and was only replenished slowly. In addition, the rice was so soft that they just fell apart. The soy sauce was way too salty. The curry sauce is also inedible, far too salty and spicy. The peanut sauce was way too runny. The food was all just lukewarm. In terms of taste there was nothing outstanding. The service soon fell asleep. The plates weren't cleared away and we weren't even asked if we wanted something else to drink. We definitely won't come again.

Were here for the first time and were immediately disappointed. Got a table behind the fridges. Nice and dark and warm. The line at the buffet usually stretched to the front door. I put together a plate on the grill. Unfortunately, me and my daughter were given the wrong plates at the table. The second attempt worked but with the wrong sauce. The third attempt was beef. Roasted so dry that I could use it as shoe soles. And again with the wrong sauce. You could count the finished dishes at the buffet on three fingers.

Unfortunately, the staff couldn't keep up with clearing away, so the dishes piled up on the tables. We were there two years ago and everything was great.
