If I could, I would rate the Damascus in Mainz not just with stars, but with the entire Milky Way! This snack bar is much more than an insider tip - it's an absolute MUST for anyone who enjoys even a little bit of life! As soon as you step through the door you feel like you've been taken on a magical journey. The atmosphere, the scents, the colors – everything merges into an experience that you simply never want to forget. The dishes are simply heavenly! Every bite is an explosion of flavors, a symphony of spices that literally dances on the tongue. The shawarma is to die for, the main courses are simply perfect. You can taste the love and passion that goes into every little thing here. This restaurant embodies enjoyment in its purest form! And then the service: so warm, attentive and courteous - here you will be pampered like a king. Damascus Mainz is a magical place that exceeds all expectations and goes even further. One of the worst restaurant I tried, the food was so bad, destroyed and they gave it to us, when we complained that we didn't ate and we returned the food it was overnight destroyed he didn't return money by himself until I consist to it. I can't understand the positive reviews. Ordered once and eaten once on site. Unfortunately, the food here is terribly bad. I have traveled all over the Middle East and know the cuisine very well. Unfortunately, this has absolutely nothing to do with Arabic food. So not authentic and tasteless. This is much better. Sad restaurant, doesn't invite you to linger and only offers a snack atmosphere. The delivery person is also very unfriendly and drives quite wildly on the road. Better go somewhere else, almost everywhere is better than here.

I would describe it more as a bistro. The food portions are large by German standards. Very tasty and freshly prepared. Even the lettuce is cut by hand.

I had a great experience at Damascus Restaurant in Mainz. The food was incredibly delicious, especially the falafel, which tasted exactly like the original falafel in Syria. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I ordered a meal to take away and I couldn’t eat it because the chicken was super burned. They didn’t even care about it. Very disappointed of this place. I won’t come back.

Bestes Shawarma in Mainz zu sehr günstigen Preisen. Außerdem täglich wechselnde Speisen, insbesondere schön für die Mittagspause. Der Grillteller aber auch die vegetarischen und veganen Gerichte sind zu empfehlen. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Ich habe mich während meiner kurzen Umsteigezeit für diesen Laden und sein Halal-Essen entschieden und bin sehr zufrieden mit meiner Wahl. Das Essen war köstlich und der Preis akzeptabel. Gerne würde ich hier nochmals essen.

Essen war lecker. Die Atmosphäre könnte man verbessern für deutsche Verhältnisse.

Auf Nachfrage wurde mir ein sehr leckerer veganer Mix-Teller zubereitet. Top! Bitte mehr veganes anbieten ! (Soßen, Gemüse,..)

Einfacher Imbiss mit sehr leckeren Kebab-Spießen im dünnen Lavash-Brot oder als Tellergericht. Die Pommes sind allerdings etwas labrig und mit viel Paprikasalz gewürzt.

Lieferung nicht megaschnell aber pünktlich. War aber auch Stoßzeit Lieferant nett. Essen frisch und lecker. Nicht so ein Döner- Einheits-Geschmack. Richtig Gewürzt mit eigener Note. Salat lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt (Jammern auf hohem Niveau) die Joghurtsauce in Sandwich war zu mayonnaisig. Da wäre etwas mehr Joghurt Geschmack besser. Wünsche mir auch mehr Beilagen zum dippen in Hummus ( Fladen. Brot. Etc.) Aber alles topp und jederzeit gerne wieder 👍🏽
