Tolle, ruhige Lage abseits vom Trubel. Scheint sehr beliebt zu sein, da ich einige Leute gesehen habe, die nach freien Tischen Ausschau hielten. Hervorragendes Essen und Bier. Schneller und freundlicher Service.

Sehr leckere Gerichte zum fairen Preis. Regionaler Wein mit schöner Auswahl und wir haben direkt eine Weinempfehlung erhalten sowie einen Tipp für einen Ausflug zum entsprechenden Weingut. Klasse Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, man sitzt außen in schönen kleinen "Häuschen". Das Essen war voll in Ordnung und klassisch deutsch.

Ein Kellner hatte unsere Bestellung nicht verstanden. Wir bestellten eine Flasche Riesling, und er brachte uns ein Glas. Wir baten ihn, das Glas zurückzunehmen, da wir es nicht bezahlen würden, aber er berechnete es uns trotzdem.

Also Essen ist echt gut aber der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Wir hatte zwei essen mit einem Beilagensalat bestellt und der kam nie an bzw eher an den falschen Tisch neben uns. Dann war das Pernsonal bei uns im obern Raum. Und hatt nicht gesehn das die Getränke leer sind auch bei andern Gästen. Naja wen sie nichts verdiehen wollen selbst schuld. Tipp an Das Service Team seit ein bisschen umsichtiger und habt die ganze Zeit eine Auge auf euere Kundschaft auch wen eine Treppe dazwischen liegt. Auch wen viel los ist, dann müsst ihr eine Person abstellen die wirklich nur oben ist. Und auch schaut ob die Gäste fertig sind mit essen und abräumt. Wir haben zb 20 min gewartet nach dem essen und sind dann runter zum bezahlen weil niemand kamm Vielleicht liest ihr das und gebt was das an geht mehr Gas sonst verklaut ihr eure Gäste auf dauer.

Biergarten war halb voll der Ober hat uns 15 min ignoriert und 2 andere Tische gereinigt und ist dann komplett verschwunden. Wir haben diesen ungastlichen Ort ohne Essen verlassen. Bei der Sauberkeit im Außenbeleuchtung bestimmt die bessere Wahl.

Die Lage ist idyllisch und ruhig. Gut-bürgerliche Küche mit reichlich Auswahl. Uns hat es geschmeckt. Alles war frisch und auf den Punkt gekocht. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Sehr positiv abgerundet wurde es durch das Personal. Der Kellner war 1A. Trotz Feiertag und Unterbesetzung sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und fleißig.

Wir haben sehr lecker gegessen.

Wir waren "nur" zum Wein trinken da, aber das Ambiente und der Service waren super.

Als ich vor 3 Wochen mit meinem Mann durch zufall dieses tolle Lokal gefunden hatte, fuhren wir dieses Wochenende mit meinen Eltern wieder dort hin. Die Weine, besonders der Schoppen und der Rotling sind außergewöhnlich gut🍷❤️. Desweiteren schmeckte das Essen sehr lecker und das Preisleistungs verhältnis passt finde ich auch sehr gut. Ein besonderer Dank geht an den Kellner Maik, dieser nette Mann machte unseren Abend zu was besonderem. Vielen Dank nochmal, so freundlich wird man selten empfangen 🤗😘

Das Essen war gut, hätte für mich etwas mehr sein können, aber ich habe auch immer großen Hunger 🙈. Der eine Kellner war sehr nett, freundlich und lustig und bei der anderen Dame war noch Luft nach oben 🤷‍♂️

Sehr gutes leckeres Essen, preiswert, schneller Service, Top. Hallo, waren jetzt Ende März, außerhalb der Saison, zum wiederholten mal hier, (nach 10 Monaten) im Restaurant Grabenschenke, was soll ich schreiben, mal wieder absolut SPITZE.

Servic war ok, aber das war es leider schon.... Essen war totale Katastrophe Medium Steak war noch sehr roh, Pfeffersoße war sehr scharf. Bratkartoffeln waren sehr glasig und hatten einen sehr Öligen Geschmack. Kinder hatten ein Hänchenschnitzel das hat sehr muffig geschmeckt und war irgendwie scharf gewürzt? Pommes waren ok! Beilagen Salat wurde mit 5€ berechnet... dachten eigentlich der wäre beim Steak dabei.

Uriges Restaurant mit sehr guten Speisen und Getränken zu absolut fairem Preis. Die Bedienung, ganz offensichtlich vom Chef, ist aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr sympathisch. Die Weinempfehlung war top. Resümee: absolut empfehlenswert.

Leckeres Rumpsteak, super Service!!!

Sehr gutes Rumpsteak und leckeres Schnitzel. Freundlicher Service und mit Hund alles unkompliziert. Werde gerne wiederkommen. Preis-Leistung prima!

A very quaint restaurant with a very homely atmosphere and extremely friendly service. And the food was also very good. The rump steak was delicious and cooked medium-rare. I'd go back anytime.

We had rump steak with pepper sauce and chicken schnitzel. The meat was great, but the pepper sauce was not. It had far too much thickener and no peppercorns. The side salad was an extra €5. There was no ketchup or mayo with the fries. There was no salt or pepper at the table. The price was okay, and we were full, but there's room for improvement.

So accommodating and friendly. Great staff. Great food for a reasonable price.

The price-performance ratio isn't right. The portions are small. The schnitzel was probably frozen and quickly fried.

So, we visited the restaurant today without a reservation, just the two of us. The seating was awkwardly slanted between the two 😕 we couldn't have a conversation undisturbed. Points deducted 😐 Card payments not accepted ❌ Food... a matter of taste, plentiful. Fried potatoes, well, fried potatoes? A big plus for the service 👍

A truly wonderful restaurant with plentiful and delicious food. And excellent value for money. The service is super friendly, quick, and attentive. Even the chefs take the time to chat and joke with guests. And, of course, they're not above helping out in the kitchen and serving. This restaurant deserves a full 5 stars 👍 However, you should make a reservation in advance, as it's almost always fully booked.

We were lucky enough to get a table twice, even though it was very busy. The service was very friendly and open to a bit of fun. The food was excellent and plentiful. Unfortunately, card payments are not accepted. We highly recommend the Grabenschenke and will gladly return on our next vacation.

An Eldorado for frozen food lovers!

Had two very nice fish dishes which we always share. Our waiter was great and spoke English as well. Extensive menu with a number of dishes incorporating a local side called "gräwes" which is a mix of potato, Sauerkraut, Bacon. Very nice.

Incredibly rude waiter, completely unprofessional behavior. You should avoid this kind of restaurant!!

Located a bit away from the tourist crowds, I sat outside, received friendly and prompt service, and enjoyed a delicious meal. I found the value for money very good. I'd be happy to come back 👍

I had asked for fried herring with potatoes...and I literally got a jar from Aldi thrown on my plate with 3, I have to say, delicious potatoes...my wife and son had schnitzel with bolognese sauce and that was also inedible...waiter was super ok but food, a pity, unfortunately

I've rarely experienced such an attentive waiter, one who, despite a full table, kept everything under control and was still able to recommend the perfect wine in a good mood. The food is good, home-style cooking at reasonable prices. The location in the alley is a dream at dusk! Depending on your thirst, you can end up with between €20 and €50 per person.

We had 2 pepper schnitzels with fries, very tasty and a large portion, 1 skewered steak "Winzerart" with herb butter and fries, which was a very good, large portion, 1 side salad, with only fresh ingredients and a good dressing, and 1 herring with boiled potatoes, which was very good and plentiful. The drinks were nothing to complain about. I requested a large shandy with lots of lemonade, which was a good mix. The food was reasonably priced, and the server was very friendly and attentive. We had a very pleasant outdoor seating. Unlike a restaurant near the pier, there was no overpowering smell of snacks or fryer oil. The only drawback is that payment is cash only. According to the server, there are devices available, but the internet connection is apparently not that good.

After a good 22km along the Moselsteig Trail, a break was necessary. Friendly service, delicious Jägerschnitzel with fries, and a side salad. My recommendation: Grabenschenke

A great place to have a quiet drink. The server speaks good English and even tries a few words in French. A big plus! The prices are also more attractive than in the village center.

We went back tonight after being disappointed the other time because there were no tables available. Super delicious, tender meat on the grill, a cheese pan with three pieces of fillet and Bolognese sauce. Super delicious. The staff was prompt and super friendly. Don't go during dinner time; go earlier, then you'll get a table. Wink.

We were there once for dinner and once for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the "Herrentstoff" (toasted pork), the "Sirloin" (sirloin) with gratin, and the rump steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. The female server (either the owner or the owner's daughter) was very attentive. The male server was smart and funny... so everything was perfect. We sat outside, and despite the intense heat, it was very cozy. The value for money was excellent. I highly recommend it.

We ate there twice! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant! It's a shame that you only discover something like this right before you have to go home.

Only 1 star because you have to... We wanted to round off a lovely day here. Our silver wedding anniversary. There was no room outside, but there was room inside. There were four of us, and the waitress yelled at us that there were no tables free for four. We had to sit at two tables for two. The tables were 50 cm apart. A couple at the table for four were finished and just wanted to pay, and they offered us their seat. But the waitress said it was reserved. I asked why we couldn't put the tables together. She replied: We'd have more space that way, the table would wobble, and we wouldn't have to eat there. The waiter was hectic and immediately made us feel like we were in the way. We left. If you don't need guests, so be it. Holiday time is precious, and you treat yourself. And you don't have to put yourself in an unfriendly and condescending manner. That's completely unacceptable, and for me it's already one star too many.

We ate here twice. We had steak once, and then schnitzel. The food was incredibly delicious, and the portions were generous! The steak was tender as butter. The server was extremely attentive and very friendly! You can definitely give this place more than 5 stars! We'd love to come back.

The service was excellent, courteous, friendly, and competent. The menu was very interesting and extensive, and the prices were definitely reasonable. Delicious and good regional selection

I would have liked to give it four and a half stars. Four doesn't sound as good as the visit was. However, there is still a bit missing from a five rating. Overall, it's rock solid with friendly and attentive service, delicious food and reasonable prices. Maybe not exceptional, but for us it's definitely a "we'd love to come back" experience.

We ate here again today. The food was very tasty, fresh, plentiful and reasonably priced. The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean, including the toilet. Maybe at some point you'll be able to pay by card 😉 But we'd love to come back.

A place to feel good and enjoy. The three of us were in the restaurant last night and we immediately felt at home, the familiar, cozy atmosphere and, above all, friendliness. All three of us were more than satisfied with our food (steak, schnitzel and spaghetti bolognaise) and are happy to recommend this place. It's certainly very beautiful outside here in the summer. We ate here on January 2nd, 2025. Very nice, attentive host. Home-style cooking, food well prepared and delicious. The steak was fried pink and the pork medallions in the cheese pan were tender and juicy. You could still do a little better with the furnishings ;), but we still felt very comfortable. An old-school pub. We would come back :)

Hello. Were there at the end of November 2024. Rustic atmosphere, very nice friendly hospitality. Food very good. I can only recommend it.

The service is extremely friendly and attentive, the dining room is cozy with atmospheric seasonal decorations. Very nice boss who prepares a great rump steak with various side dishes. Good selection of wines.

We stopped by during a trip on November 1st. The service is very friendly and accommodating, he seated us straight away at a table and brought us the menu. This is very clear, which is by no means a bad thing! I had tomato soup as a starter. This was delicious and well crafted. The main course was the Ziegelüberschnitzel, which was also well made and tasted really good. The price-performance ratio was good. I ordered a starter, main course and 2 drinks. We would love to come back when we go to Bernkastel Kues again.

Today we hiked past the Grabenschenke and enjoyed a delicious cold drink there before we continued. Super committed team and our conversation with the boss was also very nice. Always happy 🤷‍♂️👌👌

Very nice service that unfortunately did not respond to a change request to exchange fries for fried potatoes. My baked rosti are simple but delicious. Price performance okay.

We also had to gain experience. At the next table, pasta should be swapped for fried potatoes at the customer's request. This was rejected because it didn't taste good. For my schnitzel, the customer also wanted to swap fries for fried potatoes, possibly with an additional charge. It's not possible, the cook spends 12 hours in the kitchen and doesn't have time for that. If everyone wants a change like that. We say we were there at 12 p.m. and there were 6 guests there, 2 of whom had already had their food. Thank you never again, there are enough alternatives.

The service was very nice and courteous and always attentive. I ate the Bernkastler cheese pan and it was very tasty!!! Highly recommended. The ambience is also very appealing. A great family business. We'd love to come back.

Here the “young” man was extremely unfriendly. Both we and other guests were attacked because of our 2kg dogs each (Here you should take an example from the competition in a tourist area) We needed another chair at our table, and that also posed a real problem. All in all, it's not nice and comfortable here either... ...hunger drove us in.... But I wouldn't recommend this
