Restaurant "Goldenes Prag" in Freiberg

The food was delicious. I went to the restaurant for lunch with my entire family (25 people). We had a reservation, and it didn't take long for our food to arrive. Everyone was very happy with the food. It was delicious and the portions were generous. The staff is very friendly, and we would love to come back.

We've always been very satisfied, but yesterday we were very disappointed. We wanted to introduce our guests to this cozy restaurant. After an hour of waiting, the food arrived cold. We missed the tenderness of the ribs this time. Unfortunately, we didn't discuss it until we were on the way home; otherwise, we would have resolved it right there and then. The service was friendly and helpful, as always. We'll give the restaurant another chance and hope it was just a case of forgetting to bring the plates to the table.

The food is okay, but very spicy and hearty. While it starts off really good, the spice quickly becomes too much. The menu doesn't have much to do with the Czech Republic either. There are several versions of schnitzel, none of them truly Czech. Starters also tend to be European, German, and Mediterranean. There's a Czech meal in every category. Prices are rather high, but portions are large. The menu design is questionable, prices are as hearty as the food, and no card payments (in a restaurant?!!!?)

The ambience of the old inn is beautiful but unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. A tasteless schnitzel and an equally unseasoned side salad were just as disappointing as the spare ribs. The taste was good, but the meat was difficult to remove from the bone. Blunt knives were of little help and the whole thing was served on a tray that had no grip on the table and therefore constantly wanted to rotate on its own axis. A large plate would make more sense here. A greeting to the kitchen: This can be done much better! The service staff was friendly.

We had dinner there yesterday, first class. Service top and friendly. The food tastes excellent and has a very good price/performance ratio. But there is one drawback: you cannot pay by card. But a clear recommendation 💪

Hello, the ambiance is nice and cozy, and there's a lovely courtyard (beer garden). The menu is also lavishly filled with Czech and German specialties. Our food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long for it. Very hospitable! We'll be back ☺

Gestern waren wir zu Gast bei euch und waren positiv überrascht. Die beiden jungen Männer hatten mega zu tun, es war ausgebucht, sie hatten trotzdem immer ein freundliches Lächeln und nette Worte Das Essen war mega lecker und wie in der Karte schon " angedroht " sehr reichhaltig. Es sollte unbedingt reserviert werden, sonst kann man Pech haben. Wir kommen gern wieder

The portions are advertised as “decent” and they are. The pepper gnocchi were soaked in sauce and unfortunately it was far too spicy, even with a relatively high heat tolerance. The fries were unsalted. The ambience was okay, although a bit noisy. The price is okay for the size of the portions, but they should also be well made. Waiting times are also unusually long. Even for the bill, although that's only possible in cash anyway. It's a shame, unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Even though we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was almost fully booked, the waiter managed to make room for us (7 people). My first visit to a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. Was one Great idea that I definitely don't regret. The food was great, the service was very nice and attentive. Is worth more than one visit. Thank you for the nice hospitality.

The restaurant was tastefully decorated, with warm colors, soft lighting accents and handmade decorations that created a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Everything seemed very authentic and lovingly designed, so you immediately felt welcome.

We went to this really cool restaurant for the first time today. We will definitely be back and will warmly recommend this delicious, sumptuous, lovingly prepared food and of course this lovely service to our friends and family.

We picked out the restaurant on our Monday. The food was a blast. I can only recommend the black beer sauce. Shouldn't be missed. Rarely have we experienced such friendly service. Thumbs up across the board

A cozy Czech restaurant where you immediately feel at home. The staff is very friendly, the food is really tasty and plentiful and the price-performance ratio is great. A reservation is recommended. The location is close to the center and offers plenty of parking spaces.

Beautiful historic building, but the mix of styles and renovation errors destroy the flair.... The owner's photos complete it all. The staff is very friendly, which doesn't make up for the mediocrity of the kitchen... It's not for those with culinary demands recommend.

We have eaten at "Golden Prague" many times and have never been disappointed. Delicious food, attractively prepared, large portions, tasty beer and friendly service. We recently had lunch there with friends in the courtyard and everyone really enjoyed it. We'd love to come back.

The food and ambience were good, but not being able to order more fries almost 2 hours before closing time (kitchen closing time) in order to fill up (even as a vegan guest for whom there is actually nothing on the menu) is a real shame. In addition, unfortunately no card payment was possible - and in 2024 only to save a few cents in fees - the overall service is much different and far better - it's a shame, but we won't be coming back

I was surprised at what I got for my money. We offer a wide range of really delicious food. The food is presented very tastefully. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Well, we waited a little longer for our food, but everything was actually very fresh. And I like to wait a few minutes longer and we were informed that it would take a while due to the number of people. I am completely satisfied and can recommend you to go with a clear conscience.

There is a cozy atmosphere in the inner courtyard, and the food and drinks are great value for money! Of course the food also tastes very good! It was rarely a little too salty for me personally. The employees are very friendly and attentive!

The dishes are quite clever, but the chef obviously fell in love, because three out of four dishes were extremely salty and oily. We sent one dish back because it really only tasted like salt. We then got it redone, which was professional. Given the long waiting time and relatively high prices (unlike online), we unfortunately went home sadly.

What kind of portions were those??? Oh my God!! The person who conjures up these dishes in the kitchen knows his craft. It was incredibly tasty but just way too much. Price-performance gets full marks here. The service was very nice... on the day we were there (Easter Sunday) it was super full, the dining room and the outdoor seating area were well occupied. As a result, we had to wait a long time for our dishes and one of our dishes was accidentally prepared incorrectly. The error was corrected within a very short time and what we got compensated for everything. Of course, we were able to take it with us if it didn't fit in our stomachs anymore. The dining room was quaint but cozy and very clean. We will be back!!!! A mini review - there is only non-alcoholic Hefeweizen, unfortunately no Pils (Carlsberg, Krombacher, Clausthaler). It would be worth considering including something like this on the map.

Clocky pub in the middle of Freiberg with good cuisine with a Bohemian influence. There is a notice on the menus that large portions are served and this notice should be taken seriously. The only two drawbacks: No cards are accepted, so bring cash! And you have to go out into the back yard to use the toilets, so it gets a bit chilly, especially in winter ;)

Was served by the most personable, prettiest and accommodating waitress I have ever met. The food was also first class, perfect for people who are currently bulking up because they don't skimp on meat here.

Hier handelt es sich um ein kleines süßes Lokal mit rustikalem Ambiente. Nicht modern, eher urig. Aber das Essen ist der Hammer. Richtig lecker, große Portionen und der Preis ist super. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Waren vor ca 3 Wochen hier mal zu Mittag. Lecker Bierchen ( Kruschowice), dann ne kleine Vorspeise. Boahhh war kaum zu schaffen, wer dann noch ne Hauptspeise schafft muß einen Pansen haben wie ne Kuh. Hat aber großartig geschmeckt. Sehr zu empfehlen.
