Restaurant Friedrich's in Cottbus

Today I drank the best iced coffee. With lots and lots of ice. Even the glasses came out of the refrigerator. Keep it up.

They aspire to be gourmets, but fail miserably. Based on positive reviews, we chose this restaurant for our small company Christmas party. When we ordered a bottle of Tempranillo, a bottle of Rioja was brought instead. A carafe of unidentified water cost €8.50. The four-course menu, which left us feeling quite full, cost a hefty €119 per person. As a chef, I expect a variety of textures and exquisite ingredients for that price. Baked cauliflower, scallop and salmon tartare, and half a duck breast as the main course simply aren't enough for a Christmas menu! Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment, and the Cavalierhaus will not be welcoming us back. What a shame.

Best doner kebab in town – for over 10 years!!! If it's doner kebab, it has to be from there. The price/performance ratio in the city center is a joke compared to this – you get half the price there. So we only go to the Alibaba chain, and Cottbus Center is just 3 minutes away for us. I prefer dürüm or lahmacun/Turkish pizza with meat, cheese, and salad...records!!! --> 1.1 kg!!! Try telling me about a standard 500g doner kebab in Berlin, ugh...see photo, the aluminum foil weighed 17g. Doner box with fries is also great for the kids. Service: I once had them put together meat, sauce, and dürüm/lahmacun/bread for a birthday – perfect for takeout! @the recent comments here: I don't know what some people are complaining about regarding the amount of meat. My wife always thinks there's too much meat in the flatbread or doner plate. I look forward to dessert later. And anyone who eats cabbage has only themselves to blame... And to the guy with the ceramic dish: if you can't tolerate high-fat yogurt sauce, you should choose a different one. Curry is fine.

The place looks very nice, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the owner was very friendly. My husband and I got a doner kebab and a dürüm. The food could be better; the dürüm had too much salad and not enough meat, but it tasted quite good overall. The doner, advertised as an XXL doner, was too small. So, in conclusion... you can pop in for a quick bite, but not as a regular.

The baked potato with quark and linseed oil is very good.
