It's a typical German restaurant. Very rustically furnished and decorated. In addition to the regular menu, there were daily specials such as duck breast, goose leg, and roast wild boar. Up until then, everything was normal, comfortable, and pleasant. The service, however, was completely subpar. There weren't enough menus at the table, but we were asked for drinks. We waited a full 1.5 hours for the food (4 schnitzels/1 burger/3 small salads). The salad was very clumsily cut, and the fries appeared to be Golden Longs non-McCane. The schnitzels were obviously deep-fried. Except for the burger, the food was rather average. But the absolute highlight was the unfriendly, rude, and almost cheeky manner of the waitress. After an hour of waiting, after politely asking about our food, we were told, "We have other guests!" We've been treated much more politely in restaurants, so we'll be crossing Friedenslinde off our culinary list. The dishes are mid- to high-priced, so we expected service and friendliness.

It's a shame that there are only 5 stars. There could be more here too. The service is always very friendly, fast and flexible. The food is a pleasure every time. The salad is always fresh and crunchy, the schnitzel is always juicy and even the steak is always just right! And the side dishes are always great too. If you want to eat really well, this is the place to be. And it's worth every penny!

Really reserve in advance. Went there again today with the family for dinner, as always, nice service and a great atmosphere. Everything was very good. Waiting time was also completely okay. All in all, another nice, delicious lunch.

Salad didn't taste that good. Baguette not crispy. Chicken fried in too large pieces also not crispy. Mushrooms tasty but onions fried too black.

Went there for the schnitzel buffet. Unfortunately the food was not recommended. The schnitzel was partly hard on the edge, the croquettes too, and the sauces were completely over-seasoned. The bill was hefty: three people, three flat rates for the buffet plus one drink each = 84.50 euros. I thought I was going to fall off my chair! The dessert consisted of dry cakes, so we saved ourselves that.

It's best to reserve in advance. The food is great. The service puts a lot of effort into it. Unfortunately there is not enough service staff. But all in all very good. We will be back.

We sat in a draft. In order for the staff to work better, the door had to remain open. The staff was unfriendly and obviously overwhelmed with the situation and their work. No recommendation!!

Very good service, good recommendations from the attentive boss and waitress, aperitifs, dishes, desserts, drinks, very good digestifs, special requests. Plenty of space for families, niches for undisturbed eating, dogs no problem. Everything was wonderful, guest areas weren't noisy or crowded. Ambiance upscale Westphalian

Last night we were at the Friedenslinde with 4 people. Nice welcome, nice place. The service staff, a young woman and a young man, were very attentive and friendly the whole evening. You don't find something like that that often anymore. The drinks and the starter, then later the main course, were well served and everything was very tasty. Today, March 3rd, 2024, we had lunch in the Friedenslinde tree with a hiking group (21 people). After prior ordering and personal consultation with the boss, we were served a wonderful kale meal on time at the agreed time. Boss and service person, very competent and friendly, as always. Keep it up !!!

You can't recommend the Friedenslinde, the landlady doesn't stick to agreements and she doesn't care about the guests!!! We were registered there for dinner on February 24th, 2024 with 20 guests, the food/dishes were ordered in advance at the boss's request. After waiting about 90 minutes we still didn't get any food!!!! When we asked, we were told it would take a while, the other guests had to be served first and we could also leave the restaurant. We went!!!!

It was very nice and cozy there. Unfortunately we didn't get the space we had discussed and reserved in advance on the phone. That was a shame and the justification for it was inadequate and incomprehensible when it was promised to you over the phone. The food tasted very good and the service was also great. Nevertheless, I think you should stick to agreements.

The food wasn't great... The waiter was very friendly, but wasn't at the table too often to ask for drinks.

Everything is very good. Instead of a schnapps at the end there was chewy candy... I personally didn't find it that tingling.

Alteingesessenes Restaurant. Rustikale Einrichtung. Schöne Nieschen zum sitzen. Essen und Getränke waren schnell am Tisch. Schnelle/Aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen ist schön auf den HEISSEN Tellern angerichtet und alles in separaten Schälchen. Hauptgerichte werden auch als Seniorenteller angeboten.(- 2 Euro). Bei Nachfrage gibt es auch eine Empfehlung für einen kleinen leckeren Nachtisch. Biergarten liegt sehr schön ,war leider zu frisch zum draußen sitzen aber wir kommen ja wieder.

Das Ambiente war rustikal, gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam,freundlich und flink. Das Essen war eines Restaurants nicht würdig. Während das Lindenpfännchen noch gut aussah und schmeckte,war das Jägerschnitzel ein absoluter Reinfall. Das Fleisch kam aus der Friteuse,die Bratkartoffeln waren erhitzte Tiefkühlkost und die Pilze kamen erst am Ende unter dem Fleisch zum Vorschein. Das ist Imbissniveau!!! Waren auf Empfehlung da, aber waren echt enttäuscht.

Das Essen war gut und warm serviert worden, der Service war nett und freundlich und die Preise liegen im normalen Bereich. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und sauber gehalten mit Bänken und Stühlen im Landhausstil.

Hatten einen rundum schönen Abend. Gute Portionsgrößen und Gerichte waren lecker. Toller aufmerksamer, freundlicher Service! (Kleiner Tip: mir persönlich war der Geruch von einem evtl Duftstecker zu stark) 😉

Die Bedienung hat sich trotz vollem Restaurant und Zeug gelegt und uns noch einen Platz besorgt. Das Essen kam zügig und war hervorragend. Alles in allem waren wir höchst zufrieden. Vielen Dank an das Team - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ich bin zufällig dort eingekehrt, da mir draußen ein Schild mit "Donnerstags Spareribs" in die Augen viel. Das Restaurant füllte sich schnell, reservieren ist Pflicht. Natürlich bestellte ich die Spareribs, die mit Brot und einem Salat serviert wurden. Mir hat es geschmeckt, für meinen Geschmack hätte es mehr Barbeque Geschmack haben können. Mein Sitznachbar hatte ein Schnitzel mit frittierten Zwiebeln, ihm hat es auch geschmeckt. Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant empfehlen, die Preise sind fair.

Gut gelegenes Ausflugslokal im gewachsenen Umfeld. Service Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei unserem Eintreffen hatten wir im Außenbereich freie Platzwahl, einige Tische waren besetzt und die Gäste gut versorgt. Eine vorbestellte Tafel war für eine Feier hergerichtet und das Personal in der Gaststube mit Vorbereitungen beschäftigt. Deshalb war etwas Wartezeit bis zur 1. BESTELLUNG vergangen. Danach lief alles Bestens. Das Essen sehr GUT und frisch zubereitet. TOLLE Schnitzelauswahl! SEHR LECKER

Essen schmeckt gut, leider muss man trotz mäßigem Besuch sehr sehr lange darauf warten….

Service super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend gehen auf alle Wünsche ein. Der Biergarten ist ein Traum so kann man einen entspannten Sonntag Nachmittag verbringen. Das Essen auch super das beste Schnitzen in der ganzen Umgebung.

Speisen sind ganz gut. Die Schnitzel sind super. Der Service ist freundlich aber beim abrechnen sollte man kontrollieren.

Habe ein Spargelschnitzel mit frischen Spargel gegessen es war sehr lecker das preisleistung Verhältnis ist sehr gut fahre gerne wieder dort hin

Sie suchen gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, moderate Preise? Dann ganz schnell zum Restaurant Friedenslinde. Hier fühlt man sich einfach "pudelwohl". Innen angenehm rustikal und auch draußen kaum zu toppen. Einfach mal Ruhe tanken. Ist ein Geheimtipp, aber in diesem Fall "verrate" ich dieses prima Restaurant gerne. 😊

Wir haben in der Friedenslinde unsere Familienfeier mit Kindern geplant. Alle Absprachen haben zuverlässig funktioniert. Das Essen war lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. In dem schönen Garten konnten die Kinder spielen und die Erwachsenen im Gras entspannen, wenn man sich nicht gerade auf der Terasse unterhalten wollte. Es war ein sehr schöner Tag mit einem fairen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder!

Immer gutes Essen und tolles Buffetangebot an gewissen Tagen. Reservierung für Buffet erforderlich. Einmal habe ich mit dem Service Pech gehabt (zu wenig Personal für die Gästezahl), aber das ist definitiv kein Dauerzustand! Großer Biergarten!
