We wanted to have a cozy dinner with our dog for our wedding anniversary and asked if we could sit a little bit off to the side. We were arrogantly told that they couldn't make such an exception for two people. The dog was our problem. They only had tables available for reservations for several people. We made reservations elsewhere. You couldn't get out of the way faster with us.

Normally, you speak differently to a guest. Arrogant and condescending, I don't need that. I wanted to reserve a table for two people and a dog. The answer was, "I need the tables for more people, and we don't care about the dog." Well... the Italian was happy, but "the Greek" was arrogant. Highly recommend the food at L'Osteria (about 15 minutes from the fisherman's hut)! Signomi

The Fischerhütte in Wetzlar is a real highlight! From the moment you arrive, you sense the cozy, family-friendly atmosphere; you immediately feel welcome. The team is attentive, friendly, and always there with a smile, without being intrusive. The cuisine: absolutely top-notch! Fresh fish, perfectly prepared, with great side dishes, and a varied menu that caters to every taste. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the food; you can tell the love and skill are evident here. The ambiance right on the water also makes the visit unique. Whether for a relaxed meal with the family, a romantic evening, or simply a cool drink – the Fischerhütte is the place to be. My conclusion: top-notch service, first-class food, and a beautiful ambiance. A must for anyone visiting Wetzlar or living in the area!

We were there with four people and can highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious Greek cuisine with fair prices and portions. The gyro was amazing, juicy, and delicious, as was the beef liver. Reservations are recommended. The service was friendly, and after the meal, we received a free gyro or espresso. We'd be happy to come back.

Service was good but there were a bit too many waiters taking turns coming to the table. This was irritating and caused a lot of unrest. The food was consistently good and the portion sizes were absolutely sufficient. The breaded squid rings from the seafood platter were absolutely excellent and highly recommended - as a novice I unfortunately can't judge what portion of the meal was industrially produced or homemade. For my part, I couldn't taste any product as extremely "artificial" so overall I was very satisfied with the food... Finally, it should be mentioned that the Fischerhütte restaurant is adjacent to a campsite and is therefore probably not a designated gourmet restaurant, but is nevertheless suitable for a family dinner. The prices are moderate and the food is impressive. I wish all guests a pleasant time at the Fischerhütte restaurant.

Very nice atmosphere and good service. Unfortunately, our gyro plate wasn't that tasty. The rice was cold and the meat looked like it came out of a microwave.

This was our first time here and certainly won't be the last. It's right on the Lahn River and the bike path, so it's definitely worth a bike ride.

A cozy Greek restaurant on the river bank with wonderful and attentive staff. The interior is in Greek style with sculptures made in classical style. We ordered fish, a side dish and a salad. Everything was brought quickly and was very tasty. Thanks to the staff for a good dinner. I recommend the restaurant👌👍

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a wonderful restaurant that immediately captivated me with its atmosphere and delicious food. Upon entering, I immediately felt at home thanks to the tasteful decor and pleasant lighting. A small but delicate floral arrangement on the table added a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

No longer our restaurant, unfortunately. We used to go there often and really enjoyed it. But recently, the Fischerhütte has changed significantly for the worse. It's not even primarily the now quite high prices. If everything were right, it would be okay. The service isn't particularly friendly anymore. Somehow, the last few times we've been there, we almost felt like we've done something wrong. Specific things that bother us: - No outdoor service before May, no matter how great the weather is - Rude replies - No senior citizen or children's plates for exorbitant prices. I also think Saganaki for €15 is quite a treat for an appetizer. We still go to the beer garden when the weather's nice (because we live nearby), but for eating out with family and friends, we've found other places where we feel welcome.

The food was delicious, from the main course to the dessert. The prices were a bit high. The waitresses were friendly and attentive, even though it was very busy. Luckily, we had a reservation. Even though we had a table at 6 p.m., there was no parking available. We had to park further away and walk quite a distance. But it was okay.

The food was very good. I especially recommend the garlic sauce!!! The seating there is quite pleasant, whether inside or outside. The service was a bit inattentive. At least, that's how it seemed to me and my companion: first we were seated and no one seemed to care, then they asked us what we wanted to drink, but we didn't have a menu yet, but I wanted to see what was on offer first. Then the drinks were taken, and when they arrived, they immediately asked us what we wanted to eat, but we weren't quite sure yet. So far, so good! We would have liked to order, but none of the various service staff seemed to feel compelled to look at us. They preferred to stand around or simply didn't show up... but after I made my presence known, we were able to order after all.

Food so-so, nothing special and portions a bit too small, to compare the price-performance ratio it's simply too expensive for what you get! Special requests are not taken into account, only said: no, the boss does not allow any changes to the dishes. You were only allowed to choose exactly as it was written on the card. Too bad. Does that make the waiters seem somehow intimidated? Furthermore, many utensils such as soap, toilet cleaners and disinfectants were empty. You should check the toilets more often and fill up what is missing. Conclusion: Unfortunately not my favorite Greek place and wouldn't go there again.

This restaurant is definitely not recommended because not every guest is welcome. As a homosexual couple who have been guests for a long time, we can no longer get tables reserved. The way the manager of the restaurant treated us definitely left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately it is not possible to give zero stars otherwise I would have considered it You get the impression that this restaurant is no longer LGBTQA+ friendly.

Yes absolutely!! It is a restaurant with an adjacent beer garden directly on the Lahn. Food very very tasty. Prices moderate. Ouzo/Espresso are on the house. Super friendly staff. Parking spaces directly at the restaurant. Bus stop 2 minutes walk. Cycle path on the Lahn. There is a slipway for boats.

Arriving at the neighboring campsite in Wetzlar today, we spontaneously went to the fishing hut this evening. THANK YOU for a very nice service and absolutely delicious Greek food, rounded off with an ouzo. We would eat here again and again. Very very good!!! 👍🏼 👍🏼

What I want to assess here is the inflexibility and the way we were treated as a group yesterday. We had made a reservation for 8 people and ended up being 11. Instead of putting a table and chairs at the existing table, which would have been possible, the waitress became rude and started arguing with me. All tables would be occupied all the time, after all it was Easter. Part of our group was then placed upstairs (should I carry the table down here now? was the lady's snippy reply). During the meal we observed that the tables and chairs downstairs were free the entire time. They probably just didn't want to or didn't feel the need to deal with unforeseen situations. I found the unfriendly manner impossible, especially since we had already been there twice with the group on the Easter weekend. That was nothing, dear Fischerhütte.

We ate very well here and were served quickly and very friendly. Highly recommended.

We have eaten here several times, the last time was unfortunately disappointing, the fish plate had 2 shrimps that had been on the way for a long time, there were old lettuce leaves under all the food on the plate, unfortunately we didn't say anything on site.

A very good Greek restaurant with authentic cuisine and an attached beer garden. Employees are friendly and attentive and the price/performance ratio is good. But you should reserve a table for the weekend. Full marks from me.

The food was very tasty and plentiful. The service was friendly and quick. We had dinner with eight people and everyone was very satisfied. Even though we had different dishes, everything came at the same time. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity.

The price-performance ratio is proportional. The staff is friendly and attentive. The furnishings in the actual restaurant are nice, I don't think anything about building it. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings during our camping stay. We had a nice place in the winter garden/beer garden. The service is great, attentive and competent. The food is rich and tasty. Price-performance is very good. In short: great and recommended

Very good vegetarian offer. Starters (aubergine and zucchini) also plentiful as main courses. Super tasty! We would paddle past again in the canoe.

Unfortunately we didn't eat anything, but what we saw from the other guests looked really tasty. The beer garden is very nice and you can really unwind there. What we liked is that the music plays slightly in the background and so we were able to have a good conversation without shouting at each other. We would love to come back and definitely be hungry.

We ate here with our toddler two weeks ago and will certainly never come back and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone with children. We looked for a changing room and were then directed to the women's toilets. For various reasons, we (mom and dad) change our child together. That's why we both entered the women's toilet, which consists of an anteroom with a changing table and sink and the toilet room. Two young women smiled at us and were about to go to the sink: At that moment the (presumably) boss entered the toilet to throw us out in a disrespectful and brazen manner! First, my husband was asked to leave the area. When we stated that we had to change diapers together, this woman very unpleasantly chauffeured us out and directed us to a bench in a storage area. We have never been treated like this in a restaurant! My husband and I both felt like “criminals.” Our suggestion that we can change diapers when the ladies - who were just as surprised by this situation - are gone and we are alone was also vehemently prevented. We ended up having to change our child on the floor, even though there is an intact changing area. A restaurant that has not arrived in the 21st century and wants to implement backward "habits" to the detriment of modern families with children is not worth a visit. Even single fathers or LGBTQIA+ families will not feel welcome here - especially when changing diapers! There are plenty of alternatives!

Restaurant located right on the river. Ideal for refreshments on a canoe tour. In my opinion, the quality in relation to the price has decreased over the last few years or is no longer consistent. Unfortunately I wasn't happy with the last visit.

Restaurant located directly on the Lahn with excellent Greek food. Gyros, souvlaki or bifteki were of very good meat quality. All the dishes were very well seasoned and extremely tasty - it couldn't be better. At the end there was an ouzo or espresso on the house. The service was attentive and very friendly. I can highly recommend the restaurant. There are not too many parking spaces directly at the restaurant. But only about 300m you will find a large, free parking lot.

The beer garden area is large, the atmosphere is very nice, the service is friendly (despite not having a reservation and being almost full in the evening at 6 p.m. there was a table in a quieter corner for 3 people with a dog) An extensive menu, the quality of the food is very good, the quality standard of the food has been maintained so high for years (we have known the restaurant for over 15 years with the same owners, but have not been there in the last 1.5 years) The portions have become a little smaller (a little too little for hungry men) Price increased for this. We ate 1x grill plate (€22.50), 1x Atho plate (€20.50), 1x Greek spinach and feta pizza (€10.50) All dishes were fresh and tasted very good.

The food was delicious and the service was good. I don't think it's nice that you get the card placed on the table even though you're not yet sitting in your seat... and you're also asked for a drink straight away, even though you're not sitting down. It would be nice to arrive briefly! That's why I'm deducting a star!!

We were there for the first time .... basically it was OK ..3.5 stars ..... food was OK in terms of taste .... I missed the Greek spice in the grill plate except for the gyros which was good, tzatziki good, Salad wasn't good...lamb chops tasted good but way too thin or little for the money, coleslaw was good...service was OK, some of them were allowed to grin sometimes...we would still go there again...

Standing at the campsite next door, this was really delicious food! We got a call when it was ready and ate it at our campsite. Delicious! And definitely worth every euro! Nice portions and tasty meat 👍 pizza was also great.

The food was delicious, but there was no flexibility when it came to putting together a starter plate. If there were 6 people, they would have done something. Then it took an incredibly long time until the order was even taken. We were a bit uncoordinated because tables that arrived after us were served earlier. So the service can still be worked on.

Compared to similar Greek restaurants in the area, simply unbeatable quality, prices are totally reasonable. Very friendly staff! It's a shame we don't live close by, otherwise we would eat there a lot more often :)
