I'm a regular customer and am usually very satisfied, except for the tzatziki. They could really improve the recipe. And the food arrives very quickly, which is good if you have an appointment afterwards.

We visited "Platia" for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. A small but fine Greek restaurant. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was great, and you immediately feel at home. The service was super friendly and helpful. It was beautifully decorated, even with freshly cut flowers on the windowsill. A definite recommendation, and we will definitely be back again ❤️

Very tasty food, a lovely atmosphere, and very friendly staff. We had the grill platter for two, a variety of meats with tzatziki, fries, rice, and a farmer's salad. The restaurant is located in the old town, right on the pedestrian zone.

Beautiful restaurant, pleasant outdoor seating, friendly and competent staff. My moussaka was perfect, although my companion's meat skewers were quite dry. The restaurant is reasonably priced, and I would recommend it.

We had a wonderful evening at Platia, enjoying the perfect summer weather and sitting in the spacious outdoor area on Schillerplatz. The food was absolutely delicious! Crispy fried seafood, crunchy fresh vegetables, and perfectly grilled meat. Very attentive and friendly service—what more could you want? :)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Greek restaurant, which impressed me above all with its excellent service. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and attentive at all times – you felt completely welcome and well looked after as a guest. An atmosphere you'd enjoy spending time in! The food itself was delicious, freshly prepared, and lovingly presented. However, the portions were surprisingly small. If you come here with a big appetite, you probably won't get full – especially considering the rather high prices. The size of the dishes was more like a child's portion, which should definitely be taken into account when setting prices. Overall, a very nice restaurant with great service and good food – but with significant room for improvement in the portion sizes.

The food was delicious, but the service left a lot to be desired, regardless of who was serving it. The food was rushed without anyone being able to read the menu, the waitress didn't acknowledge your appetite when serving the food, and the final payment was handled with rudeness. It was a real discomfort. It felt as if the table had to be cleared quickly so it could be used again. A real shame.

It's hard for me to give a proper review. It's a very nice restaurant, and everyone is very friendly and attentive. My husband's meal was very good. Unfortunately, my moussaka wasn't good; it was completely overcooked and rock-hard on the bottom. It was noted without much ado, and the price was reduced. Thank you for that, because not everyone can handle criticism. The ouzo was on the house. We'd love to come back, and if everything's just right, we'll give it 5 stars.

Incredibly bad service. They forget drinks and are rude when reminded. They play games at the table next to the bar and aren't interested in the customers. The food is okay, but nothing special. The best part is the ambiance.

Beef liver was quite good, but Gyros Pira had better ones. For the gyros plate we paid €3 extra for the potatoes instead of fries. The number of potatoes was still very manageable. Service can also still be improved. Something friendlier would be more pleasant.

The two of us were guests on Sunday lunchtime. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is delicious. Unfortunately I find the prices very expensive. €16.50 for 4 shrimps in garlic oil is just too much. I was hoping for a little more when I ordered. Unfortunately, we felt very unwanted from the start. We got to the restaurant at around 1:30 p.m., although it closes at 2 p.m. From the beginning we had the plan to only eat appetizers to satisfy our small hunger. When we asked for a table, they asked very rudely “Now?” and we were shown a table, which felt reluctant. If you no longer want to accept a table, you can say so in a friendly manner. I think everyone understands that. So I won't be coming back for the time being.

Good food, sitting outside is nicer in summer

Very tasty food, nice hosts, attentive and friendly service. Although we had reserved, all the seats were occupied. We waited at the counter for a while and were given an ouzo by the boss for the waiting time.

Everything very tasty! We spontaneously got a place without a reservation and it was great. The beer came quickly and was at the right temperature and the food was great too. No monster portions, just everything within limits 👍👍

I had the Larissa grill plate and the feta cheese from the oven, everything was very tasty and the ambience and service were also good. You felt comfortable. Parking is a problem in the old town in Wetzlar, but everything is still within walking distance.

Centrally located Greek restaurant We are also allowed to bring our small dog here. Table reservations are always easy. Even if there are only two of us, we are welcome at a table for four. It is important for us that the dog can lie down well under the table so that we can enjoy some food in peace.

We like to try out different locations than the ones we are used to, and we were absolutely positively surprised. Despite the fact that we hadn't reserved a table, a place was found for us in a friendly and courteous manner. The staff is friendly and attentive, orders are taken promptly and served quickly. I haven't eaten such a delicious bifteki for a long time! Everything was very finely tuned in terms of spices/herbs and was really a treat for the palate. The portions are perfect, enough to fill you up and feast without overeating. The ouzo at the end is served exactly as it should be, with ice crystals. The ambience is rather modern/purist, not like a typical Greek. We would love to come back <3

The food is very solid and the service is professional. The meat was well prepared. We were here on Friday evening and took a little time with us, which was necessary. Unfortunately, no one paid attention to us for quite a while at the beginning, so we just sat down without waiting to be brought to the table. When the map was brought to us about 10 minutes later, we were sort of reprimanded and not welcomed. That was very, very strange, but I blame it on all the hustle and bustle. Nevertheless: If you want to be brought to the place, it has to take place at all. The food itself was amazing.

We were spontaneous visitors when we were in the old town. At the end of the day around 8 p.m. we wanted to sit briefly and have a drink. Is not possible here. Only for guests who are also eating.

Today, June 21, 2024, first visit. Not exactly cheap. But the quality of the food makes up for it. Non-alcoholic wheat, white wine and water nice and cold, Greek mocha was delicious, as was the ouzo with water and ice. Service and boss very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Clear recommendation.

Recommended. Here we ate a gyros pita and gyros gratinated in Metaxa sauce. The meat was tender and barely gristly - but the Metaxa sauce could be improved. In terms of drinks, there is room for improvement here - the wheat beer, for example, was not poured well. The service is nice and on the ball - everything inside is a bit tight and you sit very close to other tables. Totally within the price range. In summary, the shop is worth a visit - but there are better quality Greeks.

Nice place. Food okay but nothing more. Olives arrived 20 minutes after the aperitif. Then waited another hour for the main course. For a standard Greek plate. Regular guests are given preferential treatment here. The rest obviously assumes that they only come once anyway. Thinking right. When we are in Wetzlar again, this restaurant will be avoided.

There is a large selection of delicious Greek dishes of the best quality. The prices are ok and the service is very nice. Outside, on the beautiful Schillerplatz, there are also many places under parasols. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant is usually busy.

The food is really delicious, but - and I'm not alone - the portions are unfortunately too small. Given the prices, you would also like to be full. I think everyone has this wish when they go out to eat.

Food and location great. Except for one person who was very friendly, the service was very superficial. The owner only sees her regular guests, so she doesn't get any new ones. The two of us spent over a hundred euros, and the typical ouzo afterwards is only available here for a fee. Conclusion: Good food at high prices, aloof staff and an conceited owner.

We ordered food to pick up, so I can't say much about the ambience except that it looked relatively small, but cozy and modern. The food was great, but for the price the portions could have been larger. The tzatziki was awesome.

We ate at Platia. The food was delicious. We would like it if the plates were preheated. The food stays warm longer, especially if you sit outside. I thought it was good that the waitress pointed out to me that there was a salad with the main course before I wanted to order a side salad. Thank you for that. We will be back.

Good average. After ordering we were told that it would take longer, about 3/4 hour. I don't think it would have been possible to unsubscribe at this point. In fact, it was more than an hour with the terrace full and the dining room half full. Since there was no drink or greeting from the kitchen, we did our shopping in the nearby Edeka. The food was good. The portions are rather small. Even if you choose the most expensive dish on the menu, an espresso instead of the obligatory ouzos is not included. Weak.

Rooms quite cramped, especially upstairs. Ambience quite nice. The staff was only superficially friendly but nothing more. Waiting time is far too long... We could have saved money on pita bread for €6.50. The coleslaw and the tzatziki didn't taste homemade. Was our first and last visit.

Excellent Greek restaurant in a beautiful half-timbered house in the old town of Wetzlar. We felt completely comfortable. Beautiful ambience, friendly attentive staff and excellent food at fair prices. Everything was just great and worth a full 5 stars. For me the best Greek restaurant far and wide. We recommend.

Very courteous service and despite not having a reservation we got a nice seat at the window, but that was more because we were there so early. The specialty platter tastes very tasty and is large enough.

Great restaurant! I ate surf & turf and rarely had such tender lamb. The calamari was full of grilled flavors, the lemon potatoes were excellent. The service was also super friendly and accommodating! From now on my favorite Greek ;)

Absolut zu empfehlen - wir waren heute mit 5 Personen vor Ort - 2 Vorspeisen Platten - wir teilten uns eine Grillplatte für 4 Personen - Vorspeise super lecker und die Platte für 4 Personen ( alle Fleischsorten super zart und toll gewürzt) war ausreichend für uns 5 Bedienungen sehr sehr freundlich und aufmerksam - Chefin und Seniorchef absolute Aushängeschilder dieses tollen lokales - probiert es selber aus - absolut zu empfehlen und wir kommen bestimmt wieder - Saludo y nos vemos pronto Francisco M.

Das Essen war wie immer vorzüglich und ausreichend. Wir haben noch ein Plätzchen für uns 2 bekommen ohne vorher bestellt zu haben. Ein überaus freundliches Team hat uns sehr zügig und rasch bedient.

Haben super lecker gegessen. Wir waren zu dritt, jede hatte ein anderes Gericht, kam alles zusammen, ist ja leider auch nicht mehr selbstverständlich. Freundliche Bedienung, alles bestens.
