Since my college days 33 years ago, we've been driving to Lake Constance in our convertible and stopping by Lake Ammersee! We remember the restaurant from the days when Grandma still had curtains! Unfortunately, we've been disappointed several times in recent years. Suddenly, dogs were banned. On our most recent visit on a Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m., only about 30% of the seats were occupied. Nevertheless, we were turned away – initially with the explanation that all seats were reserved. In fact, there were still seats available later, as we noticed as we walked by. After a previous honest review, we received a letter from a lawyer asking us to delete it. Instead, we recommend the neighboring Gasthaus Schreyegg, where we experienced uncomplicated service, friendly staff, and good food.

A wonderful summer day with a sensational lunch at the Fischer Restaurant. Located directly on the lake with a view of the historic steamers of the Ammersee shipping company. We were treated to excellent fish, outstanding vegetarian dishes, and sensational meat dishes. For dessert, we had handmade ice cream from the ice cream factory across the street. It's particularly worth mentioning that NO SUGAR is used in the ice cream's preparation. The sweetness comes from dates and honey, as we learned. The chocolate ice cream contains 17 varieties of chocolate, gigantic. The coconut ice cream is made from real coconut with coconut milk, and the mango ice cream with real mangoes. You rarely find something like that, and the quality is outstanding. My absolute favorite – chocolate ice cream – heavenly!

We went there for breakfast today. I ordered pancake and it’s not really worth for 11 euro. Pancakes were not soft at all and small portion. Weißwurst and eggs were good.place was good and staff was really friendly and nice.

Perfect all around! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the meal. Sveja did a fantastic job serving us! For a lakeside restaurant, I just expected more freshwater fish on offer.

We wanted to order, but the waitress ignored us. When we asked, they simply replied with a haughty "I'm busy." Unfortunately, this didn't make us feel welcome or well looked after. Additionally, the restrooms were very dirty, which further spoiled the overall impression.

Today I went to the beer garden with a colleague for lunch. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed today. Food quality: The schnitzel was good, and so was the meatball. The fries were equally good, and my potato salad was average. I've been to much better beer gardens, especially compared to the quality of the restaurant. I expected more. Quantity: I don't normally mention this topic, but here I feel compelled to write something about it. For a Bavarian beer garden, the portions were manageable, especially considering the non-beer garden prices. The quality and quantity are disproportionate to the price. You pay primarily for the ambiance, and today it was a dream. I will avoid the beer garden in the future.

Amazing experience in Ammersee. I got mixed up with the menu. I should have been there for breakfast or lunch based on the photos I saw online. The Fischer last name is popular in the area. Someone famous lives in the Ammersee area with that last name. Guess who.

Very good and friendly service, a lovely location, but breakfast was overpriced. It's perfectly clear that the lakeside location always has to be taken into account. But a breakfast for two people costs around €40 with average salami and cheese? Two mini rolls and six slices of bread, about 7x7 cm in size, are included as a side dish. An additional €2.50 is charged for any additional bread. A carafe of water for the table costs over €5. Nice restaurant, but the breakfast doesn't offer value for money.

We had reserved three places by the lake...when we arrived we were given seats right at the back...when we asked, why was that a seat? A young employee gave us a stupid comment: "Yes, it's reserved, but you get whatever's available." Question: why call and say what you want? It was our son's birthday, and we didn't get to see anything from the lake. WE'VE BEEN THERE MANY TIMES, summer and winter, and we were always really well looked after by professional waiters. Yesterday, the untrained staff were rather mediocre. They had no sense of clearing up, etc. The bread we ordered didn't arrive, and that's a shame. We always enjoyed coming there and always looked forward to a culinary delight. But we're disappointed!

In this chic restaurant with a stunning lake view, guests enjoy an upscale dining experience. While the prices are high, they are rewarded with excellent ingredients. The burger, for example, is made with high-quality dry-aged meat, and the appetizer is enhanced with exquisite summer truffles. The service is also first-class – friendly and attentive. We've had a wonderful time here twice already and will definitely be back soon.

The restaurant is beautifully situated on the lake, but the ambiance inside takes some getting used to. The price/performance ratio would only be justified if you accept the 50% lake surcharge. I've had a good meal a few times in the past. Unfortunately, it didn't happen this time. I wanted to reserve a table for coffee for a larger group over the phone. I was told that they didn't accept reservations for that purpose, but to just show up and say they'd find a solution. We did that, but we didn't get a table, even though there was a large table available with plenty of space. When we asked, we were told the table was reserved and people would be arriving any minute. When I asked why others had been able to reserve a table, the manager(?) replied that it was his decision which reservations he accepted and which he didn't. We left the restaurant speechless.

A great restaurant with a very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. It would be nice to have a handrail on the steps leading up to Sä, which would make it easier for older people and those with mobility issues to visit this lovely restaurant. I observed several people having difficulty with this. Otherwise, I definitely recommend it.

Update: I've been a regular here for years, so I'd like to give you a more up-to-date impression. ...and still a great restaurant with fantastic views over Lake Ammersee to the Alps. An ideal spot for a midweek breakfast or a weekend brunch buffet (recommended). Very good pancakes, pastries, eggs cooked to order, muesli, fresh fruit salad, and much more. The quality is excellent, although the steaks are a bit out of place even for this upscale café/restaurant. The decor is still very inviting and beautifully designed... and in the conservatory, you'll find romance and a large wood-burning oven. There are many different dining areas suitable for social gatherings, family celebrations, or business and romantic meetings! Themed evenings are held regularly in the conservatory—ideal for groups, parties, and special occasions. Be sure to make a reservation in advance on the WKND website. Be sure to also visit the ice cream parlor and gift shop across the street. They also serve great coffee and delicious cakes to eat in or sit outside. It's my girlfriend's birthday today, and we met at Fischer Restaurant for a late breakfast. Shortly after 12 p.m., we were informed that our table was booked from 1 p.m., even though at least a third of the terrace and the entire restaurant were empty. We weren't offered another table in the unlikely event that our table was booked. Impossible and a real shame, because the food was really good. Such service, however, is absolutely unacceptable.

Small menu, big prices. Very exclusive.

We've been coming here for many years for various occasions, family celebrations, wedding anniversaries, etc. Today, we were completely ignored by four members of staff. We thought, "Okay, it's not that busy, we'll wait politely." Then someone came along with a tray. "Hello, we don't have a reservation; the four of us would like to eat...as I said, several tables are free." The person with the tray said, "No, we don't have anything free (about 10 tables free). Then, after some back and forth, a table, one with a bar stool, which he just barely had...not possible because of his knee, so nothing." We then went to the beer garden next door, and it's hard to believe, but true: in the entire time we were there (about 1.5 hours), all the previously free tables were still free. I think that's a real shame...why, quite simply, there are some really nice restaurants on Lake Ammersee for family celebrations, wedding anniversaries, etc. We'll explore them now...not here again.

A truly lovely location! We sat on the terrace with a lake view, shaded under the trees, for breakfast. The restaurant was moderately busy. After being assigned a seat, we waited 10 minutes to get our menu. It was simply too long for a start. Handing over the menu and taking a drink order as soon as we were seated would have been a better start. Then it took quite a while until the drinks and finally breakfast were served. It was more businesslike than friendly. The breakfast was great. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. However, every subsequent order we tried to place proved difficult, as it was impossible to contact the waiters. Even when the next table was served, there was no attentive glance to the side. We tried to attract attention by raising our hands, but then had to actually shout to be noticed. When we did manage to do so, our request was misunderstood or forgotten altogether. We would have loved to stay longer, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere with a drink or two. But it was rather slow. There was no flow, and the staff's monosyllabic answers weren't very inviting. What a shame.

The terrace right by the steamer pier is very beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly! We had breakfast there as a couple, which I highly recommend. However, I have to criticize the bread basket for breakfast. The price for breakfast is perfectly reasonable considering the location. The side dishes, the egg, etc., were all very tasty! However, the contents of the bread basket are very meager for two people! Perhaps this can be improved in the future! Otherwise, I would give the food a full 5 stars, too, because we arrived at the restaurant with great anticipation and left happy and full!

We had breakfast at Fischer am Ammersee. The ambiance, the tables, and the interior in general are very nice. Only the restrooms could be a bit cleaner, and a higher-quality soap could be available. We waited 30 minutes for the food, and it had obviously been sitting for a while – my fried egg was cold, hard inside, and cooked on both sides. The bread was far too oily and not tasty. Since we had already waited quite a long time and didn't have much time, we swapped one breakfast for the oats, which were prepared and ready to serve upon request. Nevertheless, it took another 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The reason given was that it was very busy – which we couldn't confirm – and we simply needed more time. The service was friendly but not warm, and simply carried an "I don't care" attitude. There is no clear table assignment, which might generally contribute to staff motivation. The oats were okay, but we had the impression that the yogurt (?) or another ingredient was a bit overcooked. We weren't asked whether we enjoyed the food, otherwise we would have gladly provided feedback directly. I rarely write a bad review on Google. However, I'm making an exception here because the visit was truly unsatisfactory.

I came to Fischer for work reasons. The minimal style, the view of the lake and the courtesy of the staff transformed my short stop into a pleasant vacation. Try the truffle gnocchi with rocket and cherry tomatoes, really excellent.

I've eaten in many very good restaurants and have never been served so badly. This is certainly not the place for us, we look for places where the service is friendly and the food is not raw. Your answer is accusing me. I visited this place with my family three times in three weeks. The first two times were ok, but there were not many customers in the place. Last weekend we were there when the restaurant was full. The food we received was much worse. Carelessly prepared, and the pork was half raw. The most disappointing thing was the waiter who served us. From the beginning we waited a long time to place an order, after pointing out that the meat was partially raw we did not hear any comment, the waiter just looked at us expressively. We wanted to order dessert, the waiter was informed about this, but for a long time he did not come to us, despite the fact that he often passed by us looking at us unfriendly. Finally we asked for the bill. Very poor experience, there is better service at a kebab stand. It is a shame that in such a good place the service is so rude. It is a shame because the place is charming and the desserts are very tasty.

We had breakfast in the "Wintergarten." The location is fantastic, and the view of the lake while eating was super relaxing. The breakfast was beautifully presented with high-quality ingredients. Thanks to our reserved table, we didn't have to wait and were able to sit down right away. We had a great time, and the friendly staff made it a relaxing experience. We'd be happy to come back. There are plenty of parking spaces right outside, but there is a fee.

We tried the ice cream and cafe from the fischer shop. It was super yummy ice cream, each flavour different from other. Personally I loved the salted caramel while toddler loved the soreno (mango meets vanilla) flavor. Also like the concept of try out spoons! Location is also conveniently placed near to the Parkplatz. Perfect end to out sunny day at the lake. Surely a spot we will repeatedly visit.

The fireplace room in the Fischer Restaurant is a really beautiful place on Lake Ammersee. The prices are high, but reasonable considering the location (on the edge of Munich and right on the lake). The dishes are fresh and cleverly prepared. The service is quick and friendly. All in all, highly recommended and definitely worth the money.

We had lunch at Fischer am Ammersee today. We sat outside in the winter garden. The food (Caesar salad) and suckling pig were delicious. Our request for a different side dish was granted, although the chef, for some strange reason, doesn't seem to like fried potatoes. We were also happy with the fries. The meat was tender and the crust crispy. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating, and perfect, even though the change wasn't possible. I particularly liked the fact that the cutlery was laid out wearing white gloves. All in all, a successful lunch, and we found the value for money to be excellent and would gladly return.

We had booked a table for six ladies in the Summer Lounge at 11:00 a.m. today. The room was unheated, with an outside temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, "because the technician couldn't get the ceiling heater working yesterday." When we politely asked whether a hot drink might be offered on the house, given such a defect, which was not our fault, and the extremely unpleasantly cold atmosphere in the room, the restaurant manager vehemently refused and indirectly pointed out that such a request was actually impertinent (!). The fact that the manager of this upscale restaurant is unwilling to offer an "apology" for a ridiculous maximum value of €4 for six glasses of tea speaks volumes about "service" and professionalism! Unbelievable!

We regularly visit the Fischer Restaurant and are always impressed. The location directly on the lake is stunning, and the atmosphere is simply special – whether inside by the fireplace or outside on the terrace in summer. The food is consistently delicious and high-quality. The prices are a bit on the high side, but absolutely justified for the quality and the beautiful ambiance. We also particularly appreciate the child-friendliness: Our child always gets a painting set, there are children's menus, and the staff is super attentive and friendly. Our personal highlight is breakfast by the fireplace – cozy, relaxed, and simply delicious. A place to feel good – we always enjoy coming back!

We were there this year in mid-May on a weekday and had dinner. The cheeseburger was good, but the fries were too salty. The Caesar salad was unfortunately not fresh, and the dressing was very heavy. Overall, the food's not entirely perfect quality doesn't justify the very high prices. The service was very friendly, but they forgot to bring our ordered drinks once. It's not worth going back, especially since the seating is cramped inside. For the truly high prices, more should be done in terms of food and ambiance. The lakeside terrace alone isn't enough.

We wanted to eat and drink something on Sunday, there were enough seats available, despite 4 or 5 waitresses we weren't even noticed, we indicated to the waitress several times that we wanted to order something, we then got the food and drinks menu ourselves from other tables, after 20 minutes we left the restaurant, I don't think they'll ever see me again.

Food OK, but interesting pricing. There were toilets, paper was overflowing from the trash can and the floor was very dirty. The service was tried hard. The acoustics were very unpleasant and conversations were very difficult. None of the waitresses greet you or say goodbye. Once was fine, but there doesn't have to be a reunion.

A well-known brand next to the Ammersee, several of the neighboring restaurants are owned by this one. I was quite pleased to hear it was called Fischer, I had eaten way too much meat and thought the fish would ease my load a little. The pre-dinner white wine was pretty nice, not too cold, and just what I needed. Fischer's Tatar Variation For Two: The starter was a small dish of cornbread with three different ingredients on it, raw beef, a type of beetroot and salmon. Tempura Baked Sweet Potato: The tempura croquettes were huge, and the sauce was quite tasty, given that it was somewhere between sticky and crunchy. Crispy Fried Pike Perch: I ordered this with risotto and this filet main was really just what I was looking for, the filet was tender and more of a fishy freshness without the salty flavour of the pork and beef which were particularly heavy ingredients. Vanilla Crème Brûleé: I had a vanilla sorbet, which was not too cold and didn't melt too quickly, and the sweetness of the red berries neutralized the sweetness of the pudding, making it very tasty. The dishes may look small in the picture, but they are actually very large, including the dessert at the end. I felt like I needed to lie down straight after eating it.

Very nice location, but unfortunately when we asked for the menu we were seated in the restaurant and were not allowed to sit on the terrace with a lake view. In the restaurant we were only given a drinks menu. After one drink we left disappointed and hungry.

Only for people who don't care about money at all. The prices are steep. A ridiculous salad can quickly cost well over €20. The burger was served in a normal roll and was bone dry. In return, as in America, you are presented with the card machine a second time in order to confirm a tip of up to 20 percent as a matter of course (nota bene: in the USA, unlike in Germany, the waitresses live solely on the tip and are not socially insured). You can admire the host's mental attitude in the toilet. There you can get information from a large lettering on the wall about how he treats his guests (“If you can't afford Lake Ammersee, you can move to Lake Starnberg”).

Excellent, delicious breakfast at a reasonable price given the location and the ambience in the winter lounge. Service was attentive and very friendly. We'd love to come back.

The Fischerhasu in Stegen is an absolute insider tip for gourmets and lovers of good cuisine! From the warm atmosphere to the attentive service to the culinary highlights – this restaurant impresses across the board. Special praise goes to the *Provençal fish soup*. It is a true taste explosion and brings the flavors of southern France directly to Lake Ammer. The fine balance of spices, the freshness of the ingredients and the perfect preparation make this dish an absolute must. In addition, the other dishes on the menu offer first-class variety and quality. The Fischerhasu is a place where you feel completely at home and which inspires you every time. It’s definitely worth a visit – I’d love to come back!

Beautiful restaurant with elegant and very cozy decoration. The food was delicious, we tried two of the vegetarian dishes and they were really delicious, highlighting the dessert, the coulant was incredibly good. We will return without a doubt.
