I have been a regular guest for over 20 years and have always been a welcome guest, but we complained once and now we are banned from the house. We had reserved a table and at the beginning it was like always, then foreign citizens came who were consuming drugs in the restaurant and had a music box with them. We asked the boss whether he thought this was normal and whether he could stop it or whether it would be right for us to leave the restaurant. I asked what we had to pay and he didn't give me an answer. We then left the restaurant without paying and after a week we went back to discuss everything. The boss just shouted loudly and said people who don't have to pay are banned from the house. I can't understand why regular guests are no longer worth anything. It would be nice if the boss would comment on this. I was always a welcome guest and would continue to be.

A piece of Greece in the middle of Cologne! At Evia Griechen you can expect an authentic culinary experience that is second to none. The appetizer platter was a real treat and the waiters impressed us with their attentiveness and friendliness. You feel like you're on vacation here! We ordered something to pick up. The menu prices on the website are not current. A dish was 4 euros more expensive than stated. The food was held while driving and one dish still leaked completely, meaning the fries were no longer edible. There was hardly any sauce on the rice noodles, so the taste was unfortunately disappointing. The rest of the food tasted quite good, but the portions are very small. You could have saved yourself 2 small tubes of mayonnaise for 2 euros.

The lamb dish for €25 looked good, but wasn't seasoned at all. The meat was almost cooked through, even though I specifically ordered "English". That's why it didn't taste good at all!!! The second dish was too dry because it was served with far too little sauce. The red wine for €7.90 a glass was far too warm! We had to speak to 3 different employees before anything was brought to us. A drink wasn't served at all, but it was overpriced on the bill. Ultimately we had to complain about the bill again because a dish that we had neither ordered nor received was included. The staff is friendly but too scattered and forgetful. We weren't even asked whether we were satisfied or whether we enjoyed it. It was our second and DEFINITELY LAST VISIT!!!

It was my first time there... spinach pizza is full of plastic parts that honestly look like hair!!!!!. At the first spoonful of ice cream a piece of metal!!!!!! Nobody came and said sorry!!!! Never again. One star is too many

You have to like ice cubes in a soft drink, but you don't need them. Chairs are placed extremely close together. Ok for a quick meal. Salad plate as a side dish at the front seemed a bit greasy around the edge of the plate. Food was great and relatively ok. The air in the restaurant is moderate because cooking takes place here too. Although the outdoor area is completely sealed on all sides and above with foil in the spring (no breeze moves there), you are allowed to smoke there, which was really unnecessary for a restaurant. Service is quick and on point.

For our wedding anniversary we went to this Greek restaurant. The soup tasted good (rice with chopped bacon), rump steak with mushrooms in a cream sauce and fried potatoes wrapped in foil with tzatziki sauce. Plus mixed salad. To drink we drank two champagne and water and Coca Cola. The food tasted excellent and we were very satisfied. Prices are 👌

Sorry but the food there is a complete disaster. People with taste don't go there anymore. The bread is 4 weeks old. The pasta casserole with the light sauce was totally runny. The prawns had no taste. It's very strange that others rate the food so well.

We were at Evia's with 5 people on Easter Sunday evening. We had reserved the table in advance by phone. It wasn't mentioned that the normal menu wasn't valid, but rather a heavily reduced offer. Unfortunately, only one item on this special menu was vegetarian. There were no soups, hot or cold starters. Just a standard salad with every meal. The pizza menu was also not available. This was explained as “a lack of staff at Easter”. The food we ordered was good, the meat tasted good and the portions were large. And the friendliness of the waiters was also good - whoever was "our" waiter didn't reveal himself to us until the end, they took turns and unfortunately there was always no one in sight for a long time when you wanted to order something. The prices for the Easter selection were very strange. We downloaded the normal menu on the website as a PDF (unfortunately only afterwards) and compared it. The pork medallions normally cost 17.90 euros, on Easter Sunday 26.90 euros. Gyros with fries normally 11.90 euros, on Easter Sunday 20.90 euros. And every drink on Easter Sunday cost between 50 cents and one euro more than on the menu! The bottom line is that we paid 155 euros for 5 people - about 45 euros more than if we would have otherwise eaten there. If the prices were increased so much at Easter, we would definitely expect the entire menu (with starters!) and more ambience than just cutlery placed in a basket, etc. There was no festive setting. We were literally ripped off by the Easter prices - it's a shame we didn't see the normal menu when we got there. But the most disturbing thing about this restaurant is the fact that there is a covered terrace running the entire length of the restaurant - connected by a glass front. This was wide open on Easter Sunday, so that all the stench of smokers could happily permeate the (smoke-free) restaurant. It was also very loud and some pop music made the noise increase rhythmically. Conclusion: We were happy to be able to leave again, smelled of smoke and had to pay too much according to the normal menu. Never again!

In dem Lokal hat es uns immer schon geschmeckt, genau wie heute.. Allerdings hat das Restaurant 40% an den Preisen aufgeschlagen.. Portionen waren gleich groß und diesmal gab es sogar nur EINEN Ouzo. 24 Euro für einen normalen Gyros ist schon hart.

The food is okay, but the service is a disaster. Table for 8 people reserved 4 weeks in advance. There was no table available on the reserved date, probably occupied several times, because that was the case with a number of visitors who came after us, everyone stood around stupidly for a long time and the food was served continuously at the occupied tables. Everyone is hopelessly overwhelmed, the boss is very rude, doesn't say anything, just leaves you there and the employees have to sort it out somehow. We reserved the table for 6:00 p.m., then had a table at around 7:00 p.m. and drinks and food at 8:00 p.m. That's not possible, but if the store is so full every time, nothing will change, it's working. I think the boss's only concern here is that the cash register is well-stocked after closing time. There's nothing wrong with that if the rest is correct. The prices in the cards, which you can also look at online, are incorrect and are between 10 and 30 percent higher, with food and drinks. A glass of wine, for example, is listed as €6.00, but on the menu in the restaurant it's €7.90, for a glass of wine in a better chip shop, that's quite steep. I doubt whether I will go here again.

If someone wants to be an all-rounder, that's usually not a good thing. The gyros were tasty, but Schnitzer and pizza were really not good. If they Greeks make a different kind of pizza it's OK, but unfortunately for an Italian pizza it wasn't that good.

We were there on Saturday, I had the impression that it was full, but my companion and the group next to us were of the opinion that it was not that full. The food was quite ok, the portions were also quite large. The meat was fried to perfection, the fries were not salted, the salad was also good. The olives on the tzatziki were delicious. As usual, we ordered the drinks first, then the food. However, the salad and the small breads with butter came first. Drinks and food came almost at the same time. When we wanted to pay, the table next to us was waiting, according to their own statements, for "over 30 minutes" after they had informed us that they wanted to pay by card. All in all I thought it was ok. Maybe it was just that Saturday. But I will definitely come by again, on another day of the week.

We were there with the family and wanted to have a classic Greek meal. The menu is very extensive and definitely leans towards meat. The meat in all dishes was on point and quite excellent. The atmosphere is rather old-fashioned and a little dark, but absolutely ok. The service was super nice and attentive. The only negative point (for us): the main courses were very, very large. We also had starters and no one grabbed their main course. We will come back in any case!

What wasn't that great... we had a table in the awning and it was very cold despite the patio heater, although you were allowed to smoke. ... and what also needs to be mentioned; The toilets. Take the ramp up to the back of Kaufland, from there you can see the back of the restaurant, it's like seeing a garbage dump. If that's what it looks like there, then you don't want to know whether the kitchen on the ground looks exactly like that. You used to get a quick drink before your meal, but apparently that's no longer possible. Maybe they don't earn enough from the Coke? Buy the 2 liter bottle on offer for 1.11 euros, then sell 10 glasses of 0.2 liters for 20.

Leider keine gute Erfahrung mit dem Essen für 3 Personen gemacht. Leber war hart, Spaghetti mit Spinat schmeckte nicht besonders, die Tintenfischringe leider daneben. Taramas und Zaziki waren okay, haben aber leider nicht mehr zum positiven Eindruck geführt. Ambiente leider etwas schmuddelig. Stühle teilweise abgesessen. Ich werde nicht mehr kommen.

Tolles Restaurant. Wir kommen hier schon seit Jahren hin. Das essen schmeckt super und vorallem stimmen hier noch die Preise. Macht weiter so

Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Brot und eine kleine Suppe aufs Haus vorab. Die "Kochplatte" mit 1 kleines Schweinefilet, 1 Souvlaki, Gyros, 1 Suzuki, Pommes frites und Zaziki sehr reichlich - die Frikadelle und das Files ganz hervorragend zart bzw saftig. Dazu ein Beilagensalat, der allerdings fast nur aus Eisberg und (zu viel) Dressing bestand - hätte man sich sparen können. Service perfekt: schnell (es war aber auch gerade noch nicht viel los, kann daher nichts dazu sagen, wie es ist, wenns voller ist) und aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Los von Allein-Essenden: man bekommt "immer" irgendwie nen Katzentisch.

Hab ein Gyros Bestellt war nicht richtig heiß und geschmacklich sehr laf hab im Imbiss schon weitaus bessern Gyros gegessen der Inhaber war freundlich habe mich aber nicht wohl gefühlt kam mir vor wie eine Abfertigung in einer kleinen Halle für mal eben wen man auf der Durchreise is ok aber für ein Familien essen für mich persönlich nein

Ganz ganz tolles griechisches Restaurant! Leckeres Essen und sehr faire Preise! Das beste Bifteki, was ich je hatte. Auch das Gyros war sehr sehr lecker sowie alle Beilagen. Besonders toll fand ich den Gruß aus der Küche, eine kostenlose Gulaschsuppe. Auch ein Salat war dabei. Wir sind super satt geworden und kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir hier in der Gegend sind!

Etwas zu laut, deswegen nur 3 Sterne beim Ambiente. Beim Service leider auch nur 3 Sterne, da wir zu lange auf die Hauptspeisen (über 1 Stunde) gewartet haben.

Immer wieder gut! Schnelle Bedienung und hervorragende Speisekarte. Das Ambiente ist Geschmackssache, mir gefiel der frühere Look des Lokals besser.

Extrem enttäuscht !!! Wir waren heute bei Evia und haben zweimal das Hähnchenbrustfilet bestellt. Wir wurden insgesamt von drei unterschiedlichen Kellnern bedient. Der erste Kellner hat unsere Getränke aufgenommen. Wir haben zwei kleine Cola bestellt. Es wurden uns zwei große Cola serviert. Darüber haben wir noch hinweg gesehen. Der zweite Kellner hat unsere Bestellung aufgenommen, jedoch hat er kaum ein Wort deutsch gesprochen und wir mussten unsere Bestellung dreimal wiederholen. Am Ende haben wir ihm die Bestellnummer 609, mit einem Fingerzeig, gezeigt. Er hat sich diese notiert. Nach kurzer Zeit wurde uns das Essen von einem dritten Kellner serviert, allerdings 2x das Falsche Essen. Zu unserer Bestellung gehörten auch noch 2x Pommes und 2x Suppen. Beide wurden uns erst gar nicht serviert. Wir haben die fehlenden Pommes und Suppen reklamiert. Auf Anfrage was mit der Suppe wäre, hieß es, dass es angeblich ausverkauft wäre. Zu unserem Erstaunen wurde ein Tisch weiter jedoch die Suppe einen anderen Gast serviert. Nach sehr kurzer Zeit wurden uns lediglich die Pommes gebracht. Das falsch servierte Essen wurde jedoch trotzdem da gelassen. Also mussten wir auch das falsche Essen erneut reklamieren. Dann wurde uns das Falsche Essen gegen das Richtige Essen ausgetauscht. Jetzt kommt der Super-Gau: Wir haben nicht jeweils eine ganze Hähnchenbrust erhalten, sondern jeweils eine halbe in einer kleinen Auflaufform mit Sauce und etwas Käse. Laut Speisekarte hätte das Gericht 12,90€ gekostet, uns wurden allerdings 13,50€ berechnet. 13,50€ für eine halbe Hähnchenbrust ist eine Unverschämtheit! Fazit: Viel zu viele Fehler für einen einzigen Besuch. Nie wieder !!

Trotz Tischreservierung über 30 Minuten mit anderen , auch Reservierungen, im Gang warten müssen. Dann am Tisch selber 15 Minuten gewartet, keiner kam. Schade, somit kann ich zum Essen nichts sagen, ich bin gegangen . Das Team war hektisch, überfordert und auch nicht freundlich. Vielleicht ein schlechter Tag, aber von mir nicht zu empfehlen.

Essen immer lecker und schnell zubereitet. Im Innenraum etwas dunkel, aber trotzdem gemütlich.

Man knalte uns das Besteck im Korb mit de Servietten in die Mitte Brötchen und Butter dazu und die brotteller kamen erst nach den Getränken wir mussten die Brötchen auf dem Tisch aufschneiden ....Vorspeise wurde gebracht und der Hauptgang direkt hinterher....ich ließ es zurück gehen...man fragte dann nach und wir bekamen dann den Hauptgang . Ich fragte was los ist ? Der Chef sagte keine Leute.....so ein Kaschemmen Service bin ich nicht gewohnt und auch nicht gewillt hinzu nehmen ...bin selber Koch...mann fragte auch nicht mehr nach op wir noch was trinken wollen ....ich hatte das gefühl ich störe die 2 Kellner, weil die saßen auf der Terrasse , ich bestellte mir en Kaffee ☕️ und die Rechnung das war ein sehr enttäuschender 88 Jebotsdaach meiner Mutter....kann nur davon abraten ....weil das essen hat auch nachgelassen ...bei der Kochplatten gibt es keine Zwiebel und kein Ajvar mehr

Hier kann man wirklich sehr gut traditionel griechisch Essen, es ist gemütlich, man kann auch draußen sitzen und der Service ist echt klasse. Das Essen ist sehr reichhaltig, frisch und lecker.

Leider hat das Gyros nicht überzeugt. Fleisch sehr trocken und eher "krümmelig" . Der Beilagensalat war jetzt nicht wirklich frisch. Blätter eher gelb. Dauerte auch bis wir Getränke bestellen konnten. So wirklich willkommen fühlt man sich dort nicht.

Top service, den ich sonst aus Läden kenne, in denen man teilweise das doppelte zahlt. Unheimlich nette Bedienung, gute Portionen. Hab dort noch nie was schlechtes gegessen 👍

Eten was ok maar niet typisch grieks te noemen. Op het vlak van grieks eten hebben wij al vele restaurants bezocht. Vriendelijke service is alleen bestemd voor lokale vaste gasten. Er werd onbeschoft gereageerd toen wij 10 procent fooi gaven met de opmerking "zeker Hollanders??". Jammer wanneer je even gezellig je vakantie wilt afsluiten met een etentje.

"Evia" - die zweitgrößte Insel Griechenlands stand wohl Pate für den Namen dieses Restaurants. Oder ist es der (hebräische) Mädchenname, der "lebendig" bedeutet? Denn es geht zumeist recht lebendig zu in diesem einladenden Lokal. Schon oft habe ich hier in unterschiedlicher "Besetzung" (2 - 4 Gäste) besonders den Mittagstisch genossen. Die Kellner sind stets freundlich, aufmerksam und vor allem sehr schnell. Die Jungs sind so auf Zack: man hat sich noch nicht einmal hingesetzt, da steht bereits die Vorsuppe auf dem Tisch! Zur Einstimmung wird auch gleich der Ouzo im (zumeist) geeisten Glas serviert. Dazu warme Pizzabrötchen (früher gab es auch noch einen knoblauchangehauchten Dipp dazu) - vorbildlich! Die reichlich portionierten Speisen sind typisch griechisch herzhaft gewürzt, kommen heiß und appetitlich auf den Tisch und sind immer frisch zubereitet. Sonderwünsche (z.B. Änderung der Beilagen) werden problemlos gerne erfüllt. Lediglich die Bitte um "extra viel Knoblauch" brachte (nahezu) keinen Erfolg - ein Phänomen, das ich in den meisten Restaurants beobachte: man nimmt den Wunsch einfach nicht ernst. Nachtrag (Juli 2023): Etwa seit es die neue (modernisierte) Speisenkarten gibt, muss man auf die liebgewonnenen Extras verzichten: Ouzo auf Eis und Vorsuppe (oder war sie nur mal wieder aus?). Schade - denn gerade das war das Besondere hier!
