Restaurant Estia in Anröchte

Update: I was there again few days ago, I took some friends with and I was hoping to find the same good taste and quality. I didn't knew that the concept of the restaurant changed from Greek to Asian/japan, so it was a bit disappointing to see that on menu was left, was only what a person can find in any existing imbiss, since we wanted to eat greek we ordered something from the greek menu. The disappointment was huge. They might be great in asian and japan cuisine but they have to work pretty hard on the greek one or take it off the menu. They brought me a Suvlaki that it was actually a piece of pork that is appropriate for schnitzel. It was hard, dry without the typical taste of greek spice, both of my friends were unfortunately also very disappointed from their dish. After we ask the check the waitress let us know that we could only pay in cash cause of an internet problem, so my friends had to go to the bank and get some money. Of course those things happen, buti think in such a case the owner should have offered a small treat for the inconvenience. Nothing came. So I will have to take some stars down. I hope they will take it unter consideration. First evaluation follows: I can only recommend it! Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.

Since Asian cuisine has been added, it's unbeatable. You can go with anyone because everyone will find something for themselves. Try the dragon roll; it'll send you to heaven. And the fish is soooo fresh! Finally, sushi in Anröchte!

We stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant by chance. We enjoyed it immensely. We've already decided this won't be our last visit. I highly recommend this restaurant.

That's my experience. There were three of us there. Once, schnitzel with fries was good. This was the experience of a 12-year-old girl. And twice we ordered the No. 1, and the meat was dry and tasteless! The sauce was good and the bread was good. Price/performance for the schnitzel 2. Price/performance for the No. 1 = 5. FOR 66 EUROS, THERE WAS SO LITTLE CHOICE!

Always delicious food and good service, with clean restrooms. We enjoy going there and are already regular customers.

What a crazy place. They offer Asian and Greek food. When we asked why such an unusual fusion, we were told that the previous owner was Greek and had sold to Asians. Okay. We didn't dare try the Greek food; a separate gyro menu wasn't offered to us until we'd already made our decision. The Asian food was okay, but not worth the price. The meat was tough and tasted like any other Asian fast food joint. That's high restaurant prices for a dish you can easily get for half the price elsewhere, with sometimes better quality. I wouldn't go here again, even though the waitress tried very hard. By the way: They very cleverly fill the seats that are visible from the outside. The restaurant always looks busy, but it wasn't that evening.

This restaurant used to be our absolute favorite – but since the concept change, that has unfortunately changed completely. For us, this was probably our last visit: The service seems chaotic and disorganized; there are even children behind the counter. The friendly, attentive waiters of the past are sorely missed. Greek dishes are hardly on the menu anymore, the set menu prices have been raised, and on top of that, there are incorrect or improperly prepared orders. Empty glasses are not refilled, and even the traditional free ouzo after dinner seems to be a thing of the past. It's a shame, we always enjoyed eating here.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is losing ground to Greek cuisine. The new owner has switched to Asian cuisine. If you like sushi and Asian food in general, you're certainly in the right place. However, in my opinion, the restaurant needs to be renamed; the menu is predominantly Asian 😅. It's not going to be a good place for us anymore... what a shame! 🤷‍♂️

The food was a 10/10, very tasty and of very high quality, beautifully presented, and arrived quickly, and the setting was very pleasant. Highly recommended.

A wonderfully beautiful restaurant with two kitchens. Not just Greek but also Asian cuisine. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's worth checking out and checking it out.

The best thing about Estia, in my opinion, are the Asian dishes. The Asian selection is also much more extensive than the Greek one. The stark contrast between the two cuisines is quite pleasant. Meat eaters will find something to their liking, as will vegetarians and fish lovers. Overall, all the dishes were very tasty and above average. You can sit on the large terrace or inside. I'd be happy to come back if I get the chance.

The food was terrible; it was too salty and had too few pieces. The waitress yelled at me because I took too long to order. I wouldn't recommend it!

Not recommended for takeaway; 2 gyros with fries and mayo + a baked feta cheese cost €55. Gyros were greasy from the pan.

Hello folks! Yes, I was also very sad that Estia is no longer a Greek restaurant. We always enjoyed being there. But I wanted to give the new owners a chance. Me and my companion were thrilled. The food was delicious and there was a great menu where everyone could find something. It is served beautifully and hot. The service was quick and very nice. 5 stars from us. The place now just needs to be decorated so that the delicious food fits in with the ambience

We ate today at the Estia Restaurant in Anröchte, it was a mix of Greek and Asian and it was really delicious. A big compliment to the entire team, we were looked after very well from start to finish. We can really recommend this restaurant and we would be happy to come back. I've known Estia for a long time and have always enjoyed going there and will continue to do so. Was there yesterday with a friend and everything was perfect?! The food was great and the staff was super nice and friendly. The Asian food was extremely delicious!!!

Good day everybody, Since some people here are complaining that Estia has changed, I don't even know what he's talking about. In my opinion, Estia is a great place for a great evening! The food and service is great as always! The menu has changed slightly - see pictures. Today we went there and tried the Asian food and it was great. Traditional sushi, which tasted great and if you still prefer Greek food, you won't miss out here - the menu still offers Greek dishes as before!! I can only recommend that everyone give this restaurant (one more chance) despite everything!

The Asian and Japanese food is top!!! The entire restaurant visit was excellent! We were warmly welcomed by the Asian team and the service was very accommodating. We ordered fried duck and also large sushi variations and it was presented with dry ice and as a work of art. Price performance was absolutely fair and the quality of all the dishes was very good. You should definitely eat something Asian or Japanese here and nothing German 😃 Highly recommended! Thanks to our courteous service!!

Very tasty food! However, we were surprised that in a Greek restaurant around two thirds of the menu were Asian dishes.

The Greek restaurant Estia - my husband and I have been coming here for a long time and happily recommend it to all our friends and acquaintances. The Greek menu was really delicious, especially the gyros, and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. Today we came back and discovered that there is a new Greek-Asian fusion menu. The food is good and so is the service, but this time the service was a bit slow. What we didn't expect, however, was that there were no more gyros on the menu. We really missed them and hope they will be added back to the menu in the near future.

The food was okay, some of it was only made warm which you noticed. When it came to service, you noticed that there was no agreement at all, as 4 different waiters asked you one after the other if everything was okay and then when you needed something, no one was there. In addition, a waiter and a waitress took away half-full drinks and half a portion of tzatziki without asking if they were still needed. In summary, I wouldn't eat there again.

We were so happy about 4 weeks ago. It was still the “old” tenant and a purely Greek restaurant. Contrary to some bad reviews, we went back today because we didn't just want to believe it. We're sorry to say it was horrible. The first waiter was very pushy with the drink order, so we sent him away to choose in peace. Then ordered...waiter didn't understand anything...wrong order. We let it go. Menu on...no more gyros on the Greek menu😱It's like when there's no pizza left in a pizzeria. Souvlaki ordered out of necessity with Metaxa sauce...completely overfatted. Proud price €18.70 without fries, without salad. Reordered pita bread for €2.70...I come from the catering industry myself...that was outrageous. I won't say anything more about the loveless pressed meat schnitzel without a bit of garnish for €18.90. Bottle of wine just slammed on the table, not opened, let alone poured. (That was completely different 4 weeks ago... a quick saying... let them taste the wine and then pour it)!! At the next table there was the new Asian side. A few sushi rolls for a horrendous price... but a quarter hour dry ice experience... large beers were delivered even though we ordered small ones. Ordered dessert 4 times, forgot two. There, too, there was great disappointment. The former boss tries to make the “best” of it. It was very tense...Mohammed and Ramadan ("old team") were super hard-working and friendly. In need of explanation for a number of complaints, they appeared very depressed and had tears in their eyes because the drama simply cannot be explained anymore. Yes, dear Estia team…in Germany they say “Schuster, stick to your last!!” Would-be sushi in a Greek atmosphere with few Greek specialists and support staff unable to communicate...Greek national dishes no longer on the Greek menu...No thanks! That was the last time in this theater. If I spend a lot of money on food these days... then it has to be 100% right! It doesn't do that anymore.

Not the best, the atmosphere was quite chaotic. The service was okay-ish. Servers did not communicate with each other, so it was a rush of 5 servers in a span of 5min, asking if everything is good. Then you were left alone for half an hour waiting for the food. Food was good.

Unfortunately it is no longer a purely Greek restaurant as we know it. The waiting time is enormous...a shame The previous owners handed over to new owners on March 1st, 2025. very, very unfortunate.

Unfortunately, some things were done wrong when taking the order, so we had to wait a long time and not everything was delivered and the new Asian employees added that we will no longer visit this restaurant. The good service man tried hard to smooth things over. And the menu is a culinary disaster.

First an explanation for this very bad rating. My girlfriend and I were guests at Restaurant Estia 4 weeks ago. It was mega there. Greek specialties combined with the atmosphere. We were shown to the table, the wine was poured, the food was typically Greek. Quiet Greek music and a joking ancient Greek. So now it comes. Today's visit really only had Greek wine left on the menu. We were only shown the place with a finger, the first waiter didn't understand us when we ordered the drinks, the bottle of wine was just placed on the table. The menu consists of 90% only Asian and Japanese dishes. The gyros are no longer available. This is probably because the operator has probably changed and is of Asian origin. We were very disappointed with this evening and will therefore not go there again. Nevertheless, I would like to praise 2 waiters here. Mohammed and Ramadan (hope I spelled it correctly) are doing a good job and understand our critical opinion. I hope that the concept changes something. I also hope that the new operators will reintroduce the typical Greek dishes or at least rename themselves. I would be very happy to hear from the new operator.

It was our first time eating there, chic winter garden, fast and good service and the food tasted excellent

We've been there several times. Unfortunately the service was completely overwhelmed, yes it was full on the weekend. But you didn't get the side dishes directly with the meat. So they said it again and unfortunately it was billed twice. What we only noticed when we got home. Unfortunately, that's the problem when the service doesn't run smoothly.

Great!!.... Actually you don't need to write anything else. The food is so delicious. Incredible!! The ambience and the staff... it couldn't be better. Always a highlight when I eat there. And I drive for an hour by car. But I really enjoy doing that.

As always, very tasty! ☺️ In my opinion this is the best restaurant in the Soest district.

So unfortunately I can't understand at all how well this restaurant is rated. First of all, the service was really excellent but the food is an insult. We ordered a gyro plate with fries and one with salad. The gyros weren't bad, but neither the salad nor the fries were homemade or tasted fresh. The salad tasted like it came straight from the supermarket and the fries were really a disgrace. Also, which is absolutely cheeky, there was no tzatziki or sauce on either plate. And when the specially ordered tzatziki arrived for €4, we had to laugh. It was such a small portion, really never experienced before. Then we come to drink, we ordered a Coke and a Spezi, and the Spezi wasn't even a Spezi but just Mezomix. It's like saying to an Italian I have pizza and giving him a frozen pizza. Two completely different worlds and definitely a crime.

Everything was great, the food was super tasty 😋 very nice service. Top Top

From start to finish, starter to dessert, everything was perfect... extremely tasty and lovingly prepared. The service: "1A, it couldn't be better!" Starter: Pita + Tsasiki (both fresh and just amazing!)...Main course: Rack of lamb (butter-tender, medium, perfect!)...Dessert: Tartufo (heavenly!) You can recommend this insider tip (price/performance) with a clear conscience and I will definitely come by again 🤗

Coincidentally, we stopped at this restaurant during our trip to Soest. What a pleasant surprise this was. As lovers of Greek cuisine, we were spoiled to the fullest. Friendly service, delicious dishes and generous portions. A beautiful and spacious place, definitely worth a visit.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise nach Magdeburg und hatten spontan eine Möglichkeit zum Essen gesucht. Es wurden noch zwei Plätze möglich gemacht, da wir keine Reservierung hatten. Wir wurden sehr zuvorkommend bedient, das Essen war absolut vorzüglich und das Personal sehr freundlich. Man hatte das Gefühl, hier Stammgast zu sein. Besonders nett fanden wir die vertraute Verabschiedung der Chefin, obwohl wir uns nicht kannten. Wir bedauern sehr, dass wir so weit entfernt wohnen. Wir wünschen dem Team alles Gute.

We were passing through Magdeburg and spontaneously looked for a place to eat. Two more places were made possible because we didn't have a reservation. We were served very courteously, the food was absolutely excellent and the staff were very friendly. You had the feeling of being a regular here. We found the boss's familiar farewell particularly nice, even though we didn't know each other. We really regret that we live so far away. We wish the team all the best.
