This rustic restaurant offers hungry hikers a small but good selection to fortify themselves and warm up. The service was excellent.

Rustic, inexpensive, great food and wonderful service!

Beautiful, well-kept restaurant with very friendly and well-trained staff. As always, the food tastes delicious and there is something for every taste and hunger. The restaurant is suitable for everyone, whether it's a birthday dinner, a quick stop on a bike ride/hike or just going out to eat. We'd love to come back! UPDATE 08/04/2024: There was a change of tenant and we had the opportunity to stop by again. Since you can't do multiple reviews, I have to add my review. The ambience is still great and there is absolutely nothing to complain about. The menu is no longer quite as traditional but there is something for every taste. Prices have increased a little but in today's world this is normal and justified. The food is very tasty, sufficient and neatly served. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point from the service this time. Although the "older" waitress was very friendly and accommodating (she commented on the dishes without asking and pointed out the portion size), the younger waitress was unfortunately responsible for the star deduction due to her unfriendliness. The reason is the reaction that there was a wasp in the drink and we wanted to give the drink back. The drink was taken grumpily and then it took almost 20 minutes. no one anymore. At least the younger waitress no longer came to our table, but she walked past very often. The "older waitress" came later with a new drink and apologized for the delay due to health problems. However, this could have been solved much earlier by the younger colleague. We will still stop by again and try the other dishes too.

Unfortunately, prices at the snack bar on the terrace are too exorbitant. 4 euros for a magnum of ice cream 🤷? Three stars, nothing more was possible.

We stayed in the Fichtelberghaus for 3 nights and had dinner in the restaurant. Service was extremely friendly...food was very tasty and plentiful. The ambience is okay...except for the seat cushions on the benches. These definitely need cleaning...better yet, replacing them.

Every time you visit Oberwiesenthal it is a must to stop there. The service is top and for a mountain house, great prices and great quality. The service is super nice.

The host and his team do a lot of things right and well here! Thank you, dear Fichtelberghaus team, for maintaining the finest host mentality here, even after the generation of previous operators 👍

We only had a drink on the terrace, but it is a very nice place to unwind. Detailed and friendly advice on a hiking trail was included free of charge.

We arrived at lunchtime, after a short wait we were seated, orders were made very quickly, after a short time the drinks arrived, followed by the food, hot, fresh, plentiful, well done. Big portion. Staff nice and friendly. Will definitely come back again.

Went hiking in Fichtelberg and stopped here for lunch break. Relaxing atmosphere, good food, good service :)

We went in at 11:45 at lunchtime and immediately got a table for ourselves (3 adults, 2 small children and a dog). The service staff are very accommodating and super friendly. We were also brought a high chair straight away without having to ask. A children's portion of pasta was also possible. Really really great and very tasty!! We didn't have to wait long at all. The food was super fresh and nice and hot. Really an absolute recommendation. Prices are also completely reasonable considering where you are eating.

Nice atmosphere, fast service. Fried potatoes very good, the schnitzel could have been in the pan longer. All in all, highly recommended - we would be happy to come back. 👍🏻

Trotz Skifahrer Schlange am Eingang muss man nicht zu lange warten. Das Essen schmeckt lecker und ist ansprechend angerichtet. Wenn es nicht gerade neblig ist, hat man auch einen tollen Ausblick.

Substandard. Ordered 2 hot chocolates with whipped cream. Received 2 lukewarm chocolate milk. When I asked for hot instead of lukewarm chocolate milk, I received the answer: Your chocolate milk will have been cooled by the whipped cream, while we had not even touched the whipped cream. After some discussion we were served hot chocolate. Conclusion: Unpretentious ball tent.

Das Haus ist zum Teil etwas karg. Ein knackiges Kaminfeuer, Gulasch im Brotlaib oder der Vorschlag zu einem Espresso zum Schluß wären das I-Tüpfelchen. Wenn man aber den Brockenwirt und dieses Haus (beide vermutlich ähnlich alt) sieht, dann freut es mich, dass die Idee von Gastfreundschaft, gutem Essen und Gemütlichkeit hier schon sehr gut gelebt wird. Die Messlatte sind für mich jedoch immernoch die fantastischen Hütten in der Steiermark... Aus diesem Grund sind es 4* geworden. Tipp: vorher telefonisch reservieren

Nettes Personal und feines Essen.

Nach ziemlich langer Wartezeit hatten wir ein super Mittagessen in sehr schönem erzgebirgischen Flair mit super netter Bedienung und geschmeckt hat es auch mega lecker.

Guter Ort um mal eben essen zu gehen. Leckeres Essen aber stolze Preise für eine unzureichende Portion. Die Kellnerin war sehr nett und lustig.

Besser hätte es nicht sein können an Heilig Abend zum Mittagessen.

Wir haben im Fichtelberghaus gewohnt und waren an zwei Abenden hier essen. Und es war einfach spitze! Gute bodenständige Küche mit viel regionalem Einschlag, und wirklich extrem lecker. Die Käsespätzle haben mein Herz höher schlagen lassen. Zudem sehr zuvorkommende Bedienungen. Wir hatten tolle Abende und kommen gerne wieder!

Urige Gaststätte auf dem Gipfel. Super nettes und zuvorkommendes Team. Essen super und auch das was man vom Erzgebirge erwartet. Zu empfehlen ist das Kupferbier. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Käsespätzle schmecken genau wie in Österreich😍 Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

I must say this place was surprisingly great! Despite this being quite a big restaurant, we were served immediately and the food arrived really quickly. The food was delicious - it’s apparent that they have a professional chef. The staff was very friendly (spoke various languagues). The pricing is decent, considering the quality of the food and service (and also the place). You can pay with credit car and dogs are allowed inside.

Wir waren 4 Personen und wurden platziert. Das Ambiente ist authentisch und angenehm. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren meist aufmerksam. Als die Rechnung bestellt wurde hat es recht lang gedauert bis wir bezahlen durften. Das Essen war für ein Ausflugslokal ungewöhnlich lecker und preiswert. Zudem waren die Portion gut bemessen: Nicht zu wenig um hungrig zu bleiben umd nicht zu viel um völlig übersättigt zu sein. Der Ceasars Salad ist eine Empfehlung wert. Ich würde das Lokal bei meinem nächsten Besuch wieder aufsuchen.

Wir waren mit den Motorrädern unterwegs und wollten im Fichtelberghaus einen Kaffee trinken und ein Eis essen. Was mich sehr gestört hat: Meine Blase hat gedrückt und ich musste ziemlich dringend in die Getränkerückgabe. Ich wurde dann zur außerhalb liegenden, öffentlichen Toilette geschickt. Die ist zum einen in keinem besonders guten Zustand und obendrein noch kostenpflichtig. Das habe ich dann beim Kellner angemahnt, der nur gelacht hat. Ich fand das nicht so lustig. Bestellt habe ich einen Fichtelbergeisbecher. Bekommen habe ich zwei winzige Kugeln Vanilleeis mit Blaubeer-Kompott, die sich unter Unmengen Sprühsahne versteckt hatten. Nun ja, es war mein erster und sicher auch der letzte Besuch in diesem Restaurant.

Zum Kaffee und Kuchen hier gewesen. Wir sind freundlich bedient worden. Apfelkuchen mit Vanillesoße und Sahne war sehr lecker. Der Kaffee auch. Die Einrichtung/Ambiente fanden wir gut. Uns hat es gefallen.

Schönes Ambiente, was trotzdem hier und da etwas renoviert werden sollte aber den alten Scharm nicht verändert. Neue Polster wären da schon ein Blickfang. Service top, Essen auch top. Preislich etwas teurer aber dafür die exklusive Lage.

Wirklich eine schöne Überraschung auf dem Gipfel! Wir waren eine große Gruppe und trotzdem wurden die alle Gerichte ganz schnell geliefert, die Bedienung war schnell und sehr freundlich (sogar hatten Malsachen für die Kinder zur Verfügung) und der Erzgebirgischer Sauerbraten war einfach LECKER!

Ich war sehr überrascht. Für ein Restaurant auf dem Berg waren die Preise sehr gut also nicht teuer, sondern normal. Man hat eine herrliche Aussicht. Essen war sehr gut und auch für die kleinsten gab es eine gute Auswahl. Würde wieder hier essen gehen wenn ich auf dem Berg bin. 😁

Nach dem Wandern kann man hier sehr gut einkehren. Es werden allerlei leckere Sachen serviert. Egal ob Carpaccio, Tiroler Gröstl, Steak oder saisonale Spezialitäten, jeder kann auf der Karte etwas finden. Dazu ein zünftiges Bier aus Tschechien!

yes the views are great, and the place is still in family!!! great service, food quality is ok.. its a typical tourist place.. but they have a fine dinning restaurant but it was closed when we stayed there.. you have the ski piste closed to the hotel less than 20meters/50feet... typical tourist prices but not oferpriced than in the alpes!! you have the czech republic close!!!
