Restaurant Enzian in Korbach

Not my first time here, and certainly not the last! The food was really solid and tasted good. Beautifully presented, and served very quickly given the low number of guests today (due to the weather). The staff was really open and friendly, always with the best interests of the guest in mind. The ambiance is really lovely and cozy, with the fireplace in the winter making it a great place to relax. The prices are absolutely reasonable, too. I miss the Bavarian dishes on the menu; the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and Leberkäse (liver sausage) were amazing back then.

I'm a trained chef. The food here is homemade, with reasonable portions and fair prices. Dessert is also good. I highly recommend it, and I'll definitely be back.

We stopped by for dinner spontaneously. The food was delicious. It's a very nice restaurant in the heart of the city. Parking was easy nearby, though. The Enzian is definitely worth a visit as a bar in the evenings, too.

A charming ambience, really friendly service and, most importantly, the food was excellent.

A superb place with incredibly friendly staff! Even our dachshund was warmly welcomed, lovingly greeted, and immediately given water. My husband had, in his own words, the best steak he'd ever eaten in his life and was absolutely thrilled! The value for money is excellent and I definitely recommend it! If we ever vacation in the area again, we'd definitely come back! Keep up the good work and all thumbs up!!!

We wanted to eat inside with a sleeping toddler and stroller. When we tried to enter the restaurant, we were immediately told to go outside. We didn't understand the reason, as the interior was completely empty. We were assigned a table that was too small for the stroller. We wanted a different table, but when we asked if we could sit there, we were refused. REASON: It's too crowded. Disgraceful. So, be careful if you have small children!

If you want to eat delicious, good food at reasonable prices, the Enzian in Korbach is the right place for you. One of the best restaurants in the area, especially if you like burgers, dry-aged meat, or tomahawk meat. Great service. All the servers are very attentive. The chef explains the meat very well in advance, including its origin, etc. You can choose how many grams you want. They serve a really delicious broth/soup from the bones beforehand. The dishes are very well presented, and the meat is a dream come true. The side dishes and salad are also delicious. The surprise dessert and cake are also great. Service is top-notch everywhere. We can definitely recommend this restaurant. Keep up the good work. We'd love to come back.

A very nice restaurant with pleasant staff. They take their time with their guests. I would especially like to emphasize their ability to accept criticism, as not everyone admits their mistakes. I had a veal schnitzel with cream sauce and fries. The sauce and fries were really good. The schnitzel was a bit tough for my taste, but tastes differ, as we all know. In summary, I would go back anytime. I think I'll definitely try the burger next time.

We had reserved a table for four people several days in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant on time, several tables were still available. Nevertheless, the staff assigned us a table right by the entrance door – the most uncomfortable spot in the entire restaurant. When we politely asked if we could sit at one of the other free tables, the staff member replied in a dismissive tone that the place was completely full today and therefore no other tables were available. However, this was not the case: The place was almost empty, and the supposedly "reserved" tables remained unoccupied. Since we were seated right by the entrance door, we could clearly hear how guests who arrived after us without reservations were greeted – they themselves stated that they had not reserved a table. Nevertheless, these same guests were seated at the tables we had previously been denied. This was not only disappointing for us, but also disrespectful. We then decided to just have a drink and not eat there. The server's behavior was also inappropriate: When we politely said we didn't want anything to eat, she commented loudly and in an unpleasant tone to the colleague. This was neither professional nor respectful. Another point we observed – even if it didn't directly affect us – concerns the way the food is presented: Burgers, steaks, etc. are served on wooden boards. This may look good, but it raises hygiene questions, as such boards are difficult to clean completely after cutting. The success of a restaurant depends on its employees. Even if the food here were excellent – ​​we can't judge that – the employees' behavior caused us to decide against eating there. As long as service staff like this work there, I won't recommend the restaurant.

We had lunch at Enzian today and were unfortunately not very satisfied. The Coke was lukewarm and the soup was completely oversalted. The prices, however, were hefty. When we told them that the soup was hard to drink, we were met with nothing but a friendly smile. The service and atmosphere were generally good, though – we were probably a bit unlucky.

A great restaurant. Super friendly staff, modern brewery cuisine (schnitzel, burgers, etc.). Dogs are also welcome here. Modern, tasteful, and cozy decor. Large selection of rare whiskeys and rum. We'd love to come back.

Full recommendation! We actually had a really good experience. The service was top – super friendly, attentive and at the same time totally relaxed and very professional. You can just tell that there are people working here who have knowledge and enjoy what they do. Things got really good when we ate: we had asparagus with small potatoes, smoked salmon and a really delicious hollandaise sauce - everything was super fresh and perfectly seasoned. And then we had the dry aged steak, which was cooked to perfection and simply perfect and tasted at a very high level. There’s also a really pleasant atmosphere – you immediately feel at home. We'll definitely be back. Absolute recommendation!

The restaurant changed hands a while ago. The beautiful ambience remains, the price and performance ratio of the food is completely utopian. E.g. medium-sized baked potato with quark, just under €11. .

What's the best place to start... First of all, I think the restaurant is really nice and I would love to come here again. We came here spontaneously with three people and since there wasn't much going on, we were allowed to choose a place. Of course we took a seat by the huge windows. The food was prepared quickly and simply delicious. I also think the price is completely reasonable when you consider how much a schnitzel costs to buy these days. Since I don't eat salad, I asked if I could have vegetables instead of salad. This wish was fulfilled at no extra charge. That doesn't exist everywhere. All in all, I really liked it here. The service is nice and friendly at all times, but we don't know anything different from the Dutch ;-) I definitely recommend the restaurant.

We wanted to eat with you today and came from Kassel. According to the internet you are open today. Unfortunately we were left with a closed door because you are on vacation this week. It's a shame that your internet is not up to date.

Saturday at noon 2 p.m. Sunshine. Seats were about 1/3 occupied, after asking if we could sit in a sunny window seat, even though most of the seats were free (see photos), we were denied 2 tables and given a seat in the middle :0( Okay, we continued on ;0) Ordered a (good) beer and a white wine 0.2 liters for 6.90 (middle price segment / good taste), after serving it was a bit below the calibration mark (shouldn't happen ) Complained and filled up without any problems but with a grumpy face (at 6.90 that's my right ;0)! Don't eat like that! Schnitzel frozen food from the deep fryer (see pictures), and salad you had to look for, the fries were the best for a normal price of €6.50!!! . So after 45,000 review views from me, I can say: "Here the customer is king, but the innkeeper and I would NOT RECOMMEND it ;0)

We celebrated our wedding reception with 30 guests at the Enzian restaurant in Korbach and I was overwhelmed by the experience! The service was simply wonderful - all the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. My wishes were taken into account in advance and a fantastic set of flowers, tablecloths and decorations were prepared. The rooms offered us complete privacy, which made the evening even more special. The food was a real highlight – absolutely delicious and highly praised by all guests. The drink orders were served quickly, within 3-5 minutes. The quality of the food, drinks and service was consistently first class, making this evening unforgettable. From 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. there was non-stop dancing, eating, drinking and laughing. The lighting, photos and music equipment created a fantastic atmosphere in which everyone felt comfortable. A huge thank you to the entire team at Restaurant Enzians for this wonderful evening. You not only met our expectations, but exceeded them and created an unforgettable setting for our celebration. Absolutely recommended!

Great ambience and ultra comfortably furnished. It felt like a living room. Food was extremely tasty and exactly as ordered. Surprisingly, the waiter recorded everything without any notes or devices. In general it was super nice, the atmosphere and the people.

On the last day of september my wife and I with a befriended couple landed here in this great place in Korbach for a coffee and anything nice with it. Coffees and Apfelstrudel were delicious and well prepared and served. The service was very friendly (and it turned out they were Dutch as well). The bathroom facilities upstairs were very clean and modern and nice to visit. I can recommend this place to anyone visiting Korbach.

My husband and I ate there today with our baby. I had the delicious Chriszly skewer. It was simply incredibly delicious and I can only recommend it to everyone. Very nice staff and a great restaurant

We ate there today, but unfortunately my husband's food was very bad. By grilled vegetables I mean crunchy and not mushy and oily. The fries were soggy. The swimming pool fries today were worlds better. When we brought this up, there wasn't even an apology. But otherwise the service was friendly and attentive. My food was ok so far. When I went to the toilet again, it was already over for me. The toilet itself was clean but there was visible dust and not just from today. We ate there last time

Big fat fries, the first layer was good, what was on the bottom was "and edible" that means half of it, yes that means conclusion for 30 € per person you have to imagine a little more.

Good enough but certainly not as good as the reviews led you to believe. It is still best to eat a good schnitzel in a village at a local inn.
