We have always enjoyed eating at El Greco for years. The food is getting worse, less and more expensive. That's it for now. Even the salad, careless like it came from a ready-made bag, the croutons had a consistency as if they had been left open in the cupboard for ages.

Das Restaurant ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Das Essen ist gut. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Eine Tischreservierung ist empfehlenswert.

The food was delicious, the service was rather short. But the prices were more than exorbitant. Everything has become more expensive everywhere, but there can no longer be any question of a normal price increase here. A pity!!

Average food with high prices. Unfortunately, the typical feeling of being “Greek” doesn’t come up. Service is friendly, but unfortunately it doesn't move quickly.

Price-performance is no longer right. In addition, no current prices are displayed on the homepage!! In reality, these are around €3-4 more expensive. Intention? The service was ok. The terrace is completely unadorned, without any table decorations or anything like that. As a result, we won't be coming back.

Be careful, the opening times on the website are not correct, but those on Google maps are. (Weekdays, closed at lunchtime)

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to thank you for the pleasant contact, the friendly service and the nice service. It is currently possible to send orders to the restaurant by phone or WhatsApp. Picking up is not a problem as there are parking spaces in front of the entrance. The product we ordered fully met our expectations. All the ingredients seemed fresh and the taste was excellent. The price-performance ratio is more than satisfactory. We would like to thank you very much and look forward to your next order.

We were there for the first time, but definitely not the last. Food was super tasty, we had the cold starter platter and the grill platter for two. Both absolutely recommended!!

Food tasted very good and quantity was sufficient (except for tzatziki - unfortunately only 1 small blob on a lettuce leaf). But be careful: prices in the restaurant do not correspond to those on the menu according to the website!!! My dish (No. 108) cost €18.50 locally (instead of €16.00 according to the website). The service is not very "on the ball". We had to wait between 10 to 15 minutes for a new water bottle. The rosato was simply forgotten and only served when asked. And it was only when she left the restaurant at closing time that the waitress noticed that the ouzo we had been offered still hadn't been served...

UPDATE May 2024.... Back then the best Greek in the area, now bottom drawer... Brutally overpriced, meat quite dry, taste very bland, even though it was ordered with extra garlic, there were hardly any spices and certainly no extra garlic in the dish. - The tzatziki was a yogurt and was actually missing everything I loved here before. - I didn't know Metaxa sauce and asked if I could get some to try because I would like to order a dish with this sauce next time. It was charged €3.50 without any notice. - The highlight was the wait of around 20 minutes for something to drink, with the steep price for a bottle of Gerolsteiner at €7.50. - An extra small portion of tzatziki on the plate so that you can eat it Must reorder €6. - In addition, the service lady was completely overwhelmed with EVERYTHING. She brought us a wrong plate to the table, we said that we didn't order that and she put the plate down and said that's what it was on the plate now. We had to say 4 times that it wasn't our order and she went into the kitchen annoyed. With all the love and all the good last years here in the restaurant, this was our last time and also that of some friends and part of the family. With increased costs and higher use of goods, the absurd prices and the sharp drop in quality and the really poor service cannot be justified. So it is not politics and the economy that are destroying our restaurants and restaurants, but, as in this case, the innkeepers and hosts themselves. All the best, but we won't be coming back... PS: This was the first time I had used the toilets. There is really an URGENT need for action here!! Previous review: We have been eating here for years and have found that the quality is always right, as is the service and the prices. The ambience is cozy, but it can sometimes be quite loud due to the tiled floors. We have eaten at many different Greek restaurants and we always come back here because the overall package is just right!

Restaurant El Greco in Neuwied is a cozy restaurant with delicious food and first-class drinks. We were a large group of 17 and although the food was delicious, unfortunately we had to wait a long time for everything. The service team could manage waiting times better. Overall, we had a great time, we made the most of the time and then enjoyed the food! 🍽️🥂

Food was really very good, everything was tip top. But unfortunately we waited 2 hours for our food on a Saturday evening. That's why it was our first and last visit, a shame...

First things first: dogs are welcome! We are happy to give full marks here. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food including starters left nothing to be desired. The grilled pepperoni was world class and the meat was beautifully tender. We'd love to come back.

We expected a lot from the restaurant. Unfortunately, a real failure. Starter came without cutlery or plates. After repeated requests it came. Unfortunately, the main course was also not good in terms of price-performance ratio. We won't be coming back.

Expectations were exceeded, all wishes were fulfilled! The dishes are mega and the finest!

When we first ordered we were positively surprised by the quality, quantity and price-performance ratio. The second time I ordered, the taste wasn't as good. We were absolutely disappointed with our last order. Taste just fine. Absolutely still go! Much less meat for more money. That was the last order.

The food is always very tasty and fresh. I am extremely satisfied from the reservation to the food and the prices. The best Greek restaurant in the area!

Delicious. We'd love to come back

Having a smile even in the thickest of Christmas hustle and bustle is not only admirable but also shows the joy of hospitality. My guests and I were very satisfied with everything and will definitely be happy to come back to El Greco.

The restaurant is highly recommended. You can even see directly into the kitchen which is always a good sign. Be sure to reserve, it is very busy. We had the grill plate for 2, which we didn't quite finish. You can easily take the leftovers with you.

Food tastes good, price performance for the portions are okay. Service is a bit slow, if the store is full it takes a long time, I think it's just the boss who takes orders and brings out the food. The ambience is good, but at the back when you go down the small stairs there is a pull at the tables as there is also an entrance/exit there Still happy to come back 😊

We came across this restaurant through the Koblenz voucher book. After a friendly welcome, we were given a table for four on Friday evening without a reservation. After waiting for quite some time, we were able to order our drinks and food. We had to wait a relatively long time for the food, but it was worth it! It was really tasty and flavorful. The portions were also okay. The ambience could be nicer, but it didn't stand out negatively. Overall, the prices are in the higher segment (approx. 16 - 22€ per main course). We give you a good recommendation.

Price-performance ratio is right here and the service is attentive and friendly.

Long wait for food, no greeting, the food wasn't as good as some people write here. Very unfortunate.

Immer wieder vorzüglich!!! Esse gerne zwei, drei Vorspeisen, statt eines Hauptgerichtes, war hier kein Problem darstellt! Leider saßen am Nebentisch Gäste, die nicht gelernt haben, Türen zu schließen, dadurch kam reichlich frische Luft herein ...und sie gingen oft raus, rauchen... Aber das kann man nicht ändern;( Alles Andere war völlig zufriedenstellend:)

Hat uns als Gruppe von 21 Personen sehr gut gefallen. Essen kam schnell und war kecker!

Sauberes Lokal mit freundlichem Persoanl und einer teil- offenen Küche. Sitzplätze gibt es auch in einem Durchgang, dieser ist wie ein Schlauch zwischen zwei Räumen, dort herrscht Durchgangsverkehr ´- daher sitzt man dort nicht so angenehem. List man die Speisekarte findet man die Preise erstmal völlig i.O. kommen dann die Gerichte ändert sich das - das was nicht so teuer ist, ist reichlich vorhanden und das was teuer ist ist eher wenig da. Eine extra Portion Tzazki kostet 2,50€, es ist die Größe einer sehr kleinen Eiskugel ca 2cm Durchmesser. Unser Fleisch war mehr als durchgebraten -die Leber und leider auch das teure Filet.

Super leckeres Essen und ein perfekter Service, vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit bei euch! Definitiv nicht das letzte Mal dort gespeist!!!

Sehr hochpreisig und langsame Bedienung.

War heute spontan im Restaurant. Vorspeiseteller für 16 Euro der recht überschaubar war. Es war schon gut besucht, aber 1,30 Stunden auf das Essen warten geht überhaupt nicht. Von daher meine Begeisterung hat sich in Grenzen gehalten.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, Essen war prima, (warmer Gemischter Vorspeisenteller), schönes Ambiente.

Das beste und leckerste griechische Restaurant in der Gegend! Nette Bedienung, feinstes griechisches Essen und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Unbedingt das Galaktoboureko als Nachtisch probieren!

Nettes griechisches Lokal. Aufmerksames Personal und frisch zubereitete Vorspeisen. Das Fleisch im Hauptgang war auf den Punkt gegart, die Leber war sehr zart. Klare Empfehlung, wur kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr unfreundliche Chefin, wir fühlten uns überhaupt nicht willkommen. Sie hat gar keine Notiz von uns genommen, wir mussten uns bemerkbar machen, dass wir da sind und wenn wir Getränke nach bestellen wollten. Im Gegensatz zu 5 Wochen vorher, nur noch die Hälfte Menge an Salat und auf dem Teller, traurig 😢 und sehr enttäuschend

Das Essen und die Gastfreundlichkeit ist wirklich gut. Leider ist das Ambiente ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen und müsste mal überarbeitet werden.

Das Essen ist super lecker 5/5 Sternen. Allerdings ist der Service recht unaufmerksam und unfreundlich - Deswegen 4 Sterne insgesamt.

Sehr gutes Essen, perfekter Service, sehr freundlich und moderate Preise. Wir haben unsere Weihnachtsfeier hier gerne ausklingen lassen.

Nicht zuletzt aufgrund der sehr guten Beurteilungen wollten wir an einem Freitagmittag das Restaurant besuchen. Um 11:40 Uhr waren wir vor der Tür (Öffnungszeit lt. Ausgang 11:30 Uhr). Das Restaurant war allerdings noch verschlossen. Inzwischen kamen 2 weitere Gäste. Im Lokal selbst war eine junge Dame sehr beschäftigt mit irgendwelchen Arbeiten. Sie sah mich, doch ohne ein Handzeichen oder ein Nicken in meine Richtung als Zeichen des Erkennens drehte sie sich auf dem Absatz um und verschwand wieder in den Tiefen des Lokales. Scheinbar wollte man an diesem Tag keine Gäste bewirten. Wer so mit potentiellen Kunden umgeht, darf sich nicht wundern, wenn diese erst garnicht kommen. Wir werden das Restaurant bestimmt nicht erneut aufsuchen.

Sehr authentischer Grieche, gute Auswahl an Mezedes für jeden Geschmack. Die Portionen sind super, das Essen schmeckt wie in Griechenland. Alles frisch, Service war gut, definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Haben gestern, zu meinem Geburtstag, zum ersten mal Essen bestellt. Kontakt zur Bestellung am Telefon war sehr freundlich und es gab überhaupt kein Problem mit der Bestellung und der vereinbarten Abholung. Abholung ging super schnell und das Essen war richtig super und alle waren sichtlich satt. Werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen. Weiter so 5 🌟.

Wir waren 2x innerhalb von 1 Woche zu Gast hier. Am Freitag haben wir 20 Minuten am Tisch gesessen ohne Etwas zu trinken oder bestellen zu können. 1 Servicedame war richtig am rennen und die Chefin stand 20 Minuten bei 2 Stammgäste am Tisch, dann ging die Chefin zum nächste Tisch mit ( 6 Personen ) auch Stammgäste und nahm dort die Bestellung auf. Bei uns am Tisch kam Sie nicht vorbei ( wir waren Fremde ). Die Servicedame aus Mazedonien war nicht zu beneiden, denn die Terrasse war restlos ausgebucht. Vorspeisen und Hauptgänge waren sehr Gut, das Dessert war Okay. Am Montag haben wir es noch 1x versucht. Wir waren um 18:00 Uhr dort, da war die Chefin schon gestresst, denn nach und nach war die Terrasse und zum Teil das Restaurant gut besucht und Sie war ganz allein. Service: Total überfordert, lange Wartezeiten, die Speisen waren Okay, Getränke wurden vergessen. Nachdem ich mehrmals um die Rechnung gebeten hatte, bin ich zur Theke gegangen und habe wieder nach der Rechnung gefragt. Eine Serviceaushilfe kam erst kurz vor 20:00 Uhr, da war aber alles zu spät. Da konnte die Dame auch nichts mehr retten.
