Delicious food, beautifully served

A very nice restaurant with friendly and fast service. A good menu for every taste. A small appetizer is served beforehand; we felt very welcome.

A wonderful and cozy evening at "Diosmos" has unfortunately come to an end. Today was our first visit with five people and we are more than thrilled! A sensational restaurant in the heart of Gelsenkirchen with outstanding staff, excellent cuisine, and a cozy atmosphere. Everything just fits perfectly here! Our ladies especially loved the espresso martini. One of our ladies would have loved to have four espresso martini in total; but unfortunately, if you're driving, you're only allowed two! 👍😉👍 All the best to the entire "Diosmos" team and please don't change ANYTHING about your concept!!! There are few restaurants in Gelsenkirchen that can delight us time and time again. Diosmos is one of them. The food, service, and ambiance are consistently top-notch, and we enjoy coming back time and time again. Mediterranean cuisine of the highest and finest quality.

Highly recommended. It was our first time there and we were thrilled. All the dishes (four in total) were absolutely delicious!

It was advertised as the best Greek restaurant in town. However, they didn't serve traditional gyros. They "forgot" to bring drinks. The food was excellent, but the portions were small.

There were nine of us there. I had the lamb shank with baked potatoes and a side salad. My wife had a grilled plate. The plate was cold, the food lukewarm. The lamb was very well cooked and lukewarm. There was still a sloppy layer of fat on it. I only ate the potatoes, which were really delicious. The salad was a bit sandy, which is worth mentioning. If you don't order wine, you've obviously done something wrong, the waitress's jaw will drop and you won't be noticed again. No matter. Friendliness is better.

A great place with a perfect ambiance, a beautiful outdoor terrace, and super friendly service. Everything is super fresh and wonderfully seasoned. The fish ingredients are also very good quality; both the salmon and the mini squid, as well as the octopus, are all of excellent quality. My only criticism is that the tzatziki could have used more garlic for my taste, and the portion sizes of the fish dishes could have been more adjusted. But all in all, this is definitely a restaurant worth repeating and highly recommended.

The Diosmos is located in the center of Gelsenkirchen. The restaurant was extensively renovated by the new owner years ago. When it came to furnishing the place, there was no messing around, it was messing around and taste was demonstrated. When it comes to food, we’re not talking about a “lots of meat, lots of ouzo” Greek. The best Mediterranean cuisine is served here. Food and drinks are served by the very friendly and attentive service staff. In summer it is possible to use the outdoor terrace. There is also always a special themed menu. The toilets are clean and these were also renewed as part of the renovation. Our conclusion: absolutely recommended.

I was recently at Diosmos and absolutely loved it! The food was simply great – super fresh, perfectly seasoned and really beautifully presented. The lamb and grilled octopus in particular were to die for! I also really liked the atmosphere: modern, but still cozy. You immediately feel comfortable. The service was top – totally friendly and attentive without being intrusive. For me, Diosmos is definitely one of the best restaurants in Gelsenkirchen. If you're looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere, you should definitely stop by here! I'll definitely come back.

I know where I'll never go again, just because of the rudeness of the staff. We were a very large group and had pre-ordered. When we pre-ordered, we had four dishes to choose from, so the restaurant could have easily adjusted what they had prepared and in what quantities. They said that small items could be ordered on-site. When one of my tablemates asked for the menu, she was immediately told that there were only four dishes, which they could have chosen beforehand. Judging by the response from the other tables in our group, they were served just as rudely. We were scheduled to arrive at 12:30, and the last of our group arrived at 12:45. When I left the restaurant at 2:00 p.m., not everyone had received their main course. Unfortunately, the rudeness of the staff meant that no matter how good the food might have been, I wouldn't be coming back.

We've lived in GE for 20 years and recently visited the restaurant for the first time. We found the ambiance very pleasant, the food first-class and of a high standard. The reception and service were very courteous. We will definitely be back!!!
