The lamb cutlet was so dry and thin that the bones were splintered. The gyros was like shredded meat – a shame, I've had better. It's not what it used to be, hence only 1 star.

If you need a little trip to Greece, Dionysos is the place to be. You'll receive a warm welcome, the food has been excellent for years, and the hospitality is top-notch. As a mother, I'm happy that there are changing facilities and high chairs. Even the youngest guests go home with a smile after a quick search of the candy bin. By far the best Greek restaurant

We went here for dinner for the first time this evening - on the recommendation of a friend! That was really a great tip! We had number 60 (gyros and calamari with rice + garlic bomb) and number 61 (souflaki skewer and gyros with fries + tzatziki). Our gyros and souflaki were very seasoned, very juicy and simply delicious. The calamari was also tender and very tasty. The garlic bomb is particularly recommended! The restaurant is comfortably furnished. The service is also very nice, attentive and courteous - we felt very comfortable! We'll definitely come back here on our next vacation!

We ate there with eight people (4 adults, 4 children) on May 1st, 2025. Our children were allowed to move around freely in the restaurant and each received an ice cream and a lollipop after their meal (WOW). The food was excellent, we were totally thrilled. I would particularly like to emphasize the great atmosphere and how children are treated there, thank you very much for that, you rarely experience something like that. All the waitresses in the restaurant were really nice and respectful. We can only advise everyone to eat there once and experience the great atmosphere there for themselves. Thank you very much for the experience with you, if we are ever in the area again, we will come back!!!

Dyonisos Varel, we have been regular guests for two years and come about twice a week. The atmosphere is familiar and friendly, and for us personally the food is absolutely top. The Dyonisos team has family status for us! If we could give more than five stars, it would be more than six!

The three of us women were in Varel for three days to just unwind. Landed at Dionysos on the first evening and it was such a stroke of luck that we spent the next two evenings there too. Extremely delicious food. Whatever we ordered, it was all very tasty. In addition, very nice people work there. We were very warmly welcomed. Keep it up. Kind regards from the 3 ladies from Bremen.

My favorite Greek! The tzatziki is the best and I love the roasted onions! Everyone is really nice and always has an easy-going saying! I like to have something to eat there!

I recently dined at the Dionysos restaurant in Varel and was completely impressed. The family-run business has been offering authentic Greek cuisine for decades and is always well frequented due to its excellent food and very good, friendly service - so reservations are definitely advisable, especially at peak times. The dishes are all masterfully prepared, with the liver being particularly recommended – a real insider tip for lovers of this dish. However, it would be unfair to limit ourselves to this specialty, because the entire offering impresses with its variety and quality. Anyone who appreciates Greek cuisine is in the best of hands here. A visit to Dionysus in Varel is definitely worth it!

We became aware of the wonderful restaurant “Dionysos” on Monday. It is a bit away from the town center, but can only be recommended because of the loving staff and the quality of the food on offer. If you're in Varel and want to eat Greek, come to Dionysos 🔥😙💋🥰

We got a table in the winter garden at short notice. The service was very attentive. The food was very tasty and filling, the meat was really tasty and not fried to death. We will definitely come back when we are in the area. It is advisable to reserve a table.

Whenever we are in the north, the best Greek we know is here to eat! I have to say that it costs €6 for a portion of Kritaraki, which I thought was steep for the Stifado. There is nothing with the Stifado except salad. Well, it only happens once!

Some free parking spaces directly at the house. Otherwise a little further away, but also free. Food good and plentiful. Ouzo for free. You hardly see the other guests. Well distributed. The interior is good, bourgeois.

Super super tasty. After years, I finally got delicious gyros again 😋😋😋. Bifteki and souflaki are also super tasty. Service was very friendly and attentive despite the hut being full. But you could also sit outside very well. We will be back definitely. Even if it's only once a year (vacation)

There are better Greek restaurants than this. I ordered gratinated gyros with fries. The starter was a salad that lacked seasoning. It tasted good. Baked gyros also tasted pale and very oily. There were also fries that were also missing salt. The amazing thing was when we were asked if we wanted majonaise fries. There was only a bag of mayonnaise like at McDonald's. Unfortunately, I can't rate the service well. You say you want to pay, so you wait, and wait, and wait. You are no longer taken into account. Only when you asked again to pay did the waitress come with the bill So for around 50 euros I've eaten better at a Greek place. I won't be stopping by these again, even though this one is rated as good. I just can't understand the positive reviews. We had hoped for more for my first visit with my husband.

Was there for dinner with a larger group about a year ago. We were in the extension with a corrugated roof. The food was simply bomb, I still dream about the mushroom sauce and the lamb fillet. I got my fill here. The ambience suits the restaurant perfectly. Some people can learn something from the operation. I'm curious when I'll get there again, you don't just drive the 700km like that.

We spontaneously called 2 hours in advance and asked for a place for 2 at 7:30 p.m., the man on the phone was incredibly friendly and we were allowed to show up at the desired time. When we arrived at the restaurant there was a positive and happy atmosphere. Service really 10/10! Nice and accommodating, when I couldn't decide on the wines, he brought me something to try. My mother's special requests were also implemented brilliantly. The food was plentiful, tasted great and the price was unbeatable. I can only recommend that everyone see for themselves!
