Restaurant Delphi in Rheda-Wiedenbrück

Haben wohl heute einen schlechten Tag erwischt. Spieße waren kalt, nach aufwärmen immer noch kalt. Gyros war fettig und knorpelig. Eher Pommesbuden-Niveau für stolze 50€. Die jungen Kellner waren noch recht freundlich, bei dem älteren Herrn habe mich alles andere als Willkommen gefühlt. Keine Entschuldigung für kalte Essen nur ein Spruch man hätte es ja aufgewärmt.

Das Essen war lecker, die Portionen passend portioniert - man wird satt und es muss nicht viel weggeworfen werden. Der Service ist eher mürrisch und langsam.

Jaaaa, der Doktorplatz in Rheda… Eigentlich sehr schön um abends bei einem kühlen Bier und leckerem Essen den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Zum wiederholten Male lässt der Service hier mehr als zu wünschen übrig und wer sich in einem Restaurant gerne wie Zuhause fühlt ist hier an der falschen Adresse. Dem Essen fehlt es an Liebe und leider auch an Gewürzen. Beim Griechen erwartet man in einer Kleinstadt nicht zu viel, doch die Gastronomie-Basiscs sollten gegeben sein, damit man gerne wieder kommt.

Große Warnung: Sehr dünne Biftekis: Käse war nicht mal angeschmolzen, außen schwarz-angebrannt. Cappuccino kalt, Leber nicht durch (das Blut hat die Pommes durchtränkt). Auf Wunsch wurde das Fleisch nachgebraten: es kam schwarz verbrannt, dann durchgebraten zurück, leider mit den ursprünglichen kalten in Blut getränkten Pommes. Unverschämter Chef bestand auf dem vollen Kaufpreis. Nie wieder ! Erstes und gleichzeitig letztes Mal dort gewesen. Wer am Anfang den Ouso ablehnt, bekommt keinen Ersatz.

Das Essen kann ich wirklich empfehlen. Flambiertes Gyros mit Metaxasauce hatte ich vorher auch noch nicht. Beim Service ist noch Luft nach oben. Wenn sowieso nicht viel los ist, muss ich nicht vor leeren Gläsern sitzen.

Wir waren gestern dort über 40 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet sorry aber der Laden hat derbe nachgelassen auch vom Personal her schade ich kenne den Laden noch wo er damals am Kik Markt war

Wir waren heute mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern in diesem Restaurant essen und haben uns leider überhaupt nicht willkommen gefühlt. Schon während unseres Aufenthalts wurden wir immer wieder sehr unangenehm angeschaut, als wären wir mit unseren Kindern dort nicht erwünscht. Diese Blicke vom Personal haben die ganze Atmosphäre für uns sehr unangenehm gemacht. Am Ende wurde dann sogar noch auf Griechisch über uns gesprochen bzw. gelästert. So etwas gegenüber Gästen zu machen, finden wir absolut respektlos und unprofessionell. Sehr schade – gerade Familien sollten sich in einem Restaurant willkommen fühlen.

Gutes Essen zum fairen Preis. Ambiente passt, jedoch nichts außergewöhnliches. Gerne wieder !

Waren dort spontan zu zweit Essen. Leider war der Empfang an der Tür nicht ganz so freundlich. Es wirkte eher als wenn man unerwünscht war (rauchenden Mitarbeiter vor der Tür, oder der Chef???) Der junge kellner hingegen war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war ok. Mixed-Grill-Teller mit Gyros, Suflaki und Lammkotlettes. Die Koteletts waren definitiv die kleinsten die ich jemals gesehen habe.....generell war der Teller eine eher überschaubare Portion. Dem teuren Preis nicht gerechtfertigt!!! Auf den obligatorischen Ouzo nach dem essen haben wir leider vergeblich gewartet. Wir würden eher nicht nochmal hier einkehren.

Das Fleisch war perfekt gebraten und die Bedienung ist sehr nett und herzlich. Einziges Manko ist, dass die Plätze relativ eng beieinander sind. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Ein wundervolles griechisches Familienrestaurant! Ein so herzlicher und einladender Ort. Aretis Teller – Scampi mit Reis und Salat – war einfach himmlisch, voller authentischem, hausgemachtem Geschmack. Ein herzliches Dankeschön für die Einladung, Ihre Familienküche zu entdecken – die Herzlichkeit, Freundlichkeit und die herzliche griechische Umarmung zum Abschied haben uns sehr berührt. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, köstliches Essen und Gastgeber, bei denen man sich sofort wie zu Hause fühlt. Absolut empfehlenswert! 🤍

Absolutes Highlight war der Abschied auf griechische Art von Areti – wir möchten auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn wir Rheda wieder besuchen.

Heute Abend (Andreaskirmes) Freitag 2025 draussen an der Bude! Gyros Pita für 7,50€ war eine Frechheit! Das Gyrosfleisch war kaum spürbar wärmer als das Zaziki, die Zwiebeln und der Rest der Gyros Pita und um allem die Krone aufzusetzen, schmeckte das Krombacher wie "Altbier"! Nach dem letzten Surf&Turf für 18€schlag mich tot bei Delphi wieder eine herbe Niederlage des Gastgebers und eine große Enttäuschung für mich! Der Laden war mal echt, wirklich richtig gut, leider nur in der Vergangenheit! Falls man Trinkgeld geben möchte, immer dem Personal direkt in die Hand drücken, denn zum Abrechnen kommt immer Cheffe persönlich!

Ich war im Restaurant Delphi und war absolut begeistert! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet – frisch, lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Atmosphäre war warm und einladend, und das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man merkt, dass hier großer Wert auf Details und Kundenzufriedenheit gelegt wird. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und kann das Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Alles war köstlich. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Die Preise waren angemessen. Wir hatten lange nach einem guten griechischen Restaurant gesucht und es endlich gefunden. Es gibt sowohl gemütliche Innenräume als auch Plätze draußen mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf die Altstadt. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Restaurant Delphi, The location in the heart of the city is perfect: a beautiful square with plenty of seating, both inside and out. The outdoor terrace on the cobblestones with large parasols feels like a small vacation spot – quiet, cozy, and yet right in the center of the action. The food? Absolutely top-notch! The lamb deserves special mention – perfectly grilled, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. Freshly prepared side dishes like crispy fries, homemade tzatziki, and a crisp salad with creamy dressing – all fresh, lovingly prepared, and deliciously delicious. Even the presentation with the glass dome was a real eye-catcher! The service is equally remarkable: friendly, attentive, and authentic. You can tell that a well-coordinated team is at work here with passion. The chef still greets his guests personally – something that's rare these days and demonstrates how much value is placed on hospitality here. This wasn't my first time here – and certainly won't be my last. Since 1988, Delphi has stood for quality and hospitality. For anyone who wants to enjoy Greek specialties in the best atmosphere: a definite recommendation!

Simply fantastic! We had a truly wonderful evening at the Greek restaurant, especially thanks to Marcel, who served us with tremendous passion and a great sense of humor. The service was attentive, relaxed, and yet very professional. The gyro plate was a dream: perfectly seasoned, crispy, and absolutely delicious. A clear recommendation; we'll definitely be back!

A few days ago, when we wanted to go to a Vietnamese restaurant, we changed our minds at the last minute and went to Delphi. Everything was absolutely perfect. Friendly service. Great food. A+.

We were there for lunch. The restaurant had already been open for an hour and the dining room was so cold that we left our jackets on. The cappuccino we ordered was lukewarm and the food was disastrous. Both the taste and the quality of the ingredients were unsatisfactory.

We have been eating at Vajos for over 30 years. Price/performance ratio is top and if something needs to be done, the restaurant always tries hard!!!

A complainant had to pay for corns for a good reason: it smelled like a chicken coop, was cloudy and incredibly salty. I find it a disgrace. Then have to beg for the bill... we won't go here again

We were here a year ago and it was average: furnishings okay, service friendly, food also okay: a typical Greek, slightly overpriced (4 zucchini slices €7). In the meantime the food has deteriorated so much that it's definitely the last time I've been there. There were no more zucchini slices. The feta on the Greek salad (12€) was not feta, but something tasteless with a rubbery consistency (neither shepherd's cheese or haloumi), no visible peppers (except the pickled ones), hardly any/no olive oil in the salad (on the table anyway not, not even bread or anything like that). The baked potato slices for 6.50! were horrible: dripping in fat, dark, unsalted, with way too much cheap cheese on top. The dolmadakia came from a can with a huge dollop of sour cream and sweet tomato sauce (instead of tzatziki). The side salad also had no peppers, coleslaw or tzatziki (a dollop, as it says on the menu, costs €3). The pans for certain dishes are particularly small. Of course I said something and complained, which left the room hanging. Night cap - that was once. If you like all the platters of gods and island plates with fries, this is the place for you. Fresh, authentic Greek cuisine can be found in Greece.

Were guests at the Delphi restaurant this evening. I have to say we were there for the first and last time. The food was brought to the table cold and the worst thing was that there was a piece of plastic under the fries! Something like that should never happen! This was then reported to the waitress and simply accepted, no apology or compensation! Really really a shame!

Essen mittelmäßig. Bedienung roch ungewaschen. Inhaber fragte unfreundlich, ob ich was essen wolle. Auf meine Frage, ob ich mit Karte bezahlen könnte, wurde ich aufgefordert in bar zu bezahlen.

The restaurant is located in the middle of Rheda city center and has an indoor and a large outdoor area. The service is sometimes not so friendly. The customer is not necessarily king here The food has ups and downs peculiarity. This time the gyros was sold out (Father's Day) Basically gyros and scalloped potatoes are a tip

Kalimera! “Delphi” has been an institution in Rheda for years. When the move to Doctor Square took place some time ago, I feared that a lot would change. Has it too! Nicer ambience inside and out (which wasn't a bit difficult considering the previous location...)! What remained the same was the super nice service and the quality of the food. We can only hope that the people of Rheda will keep their Greek restaurant so popular that it will last for many years to come.

For 5 euros the portion from ToGoodToGo was OK, in the app the portion for 15 euros is excellent. If you look at the pictures in the reviews, you can clearly see that the normal portions are significantly larger. You also had to wait a long time and the boss seemed very stressed, even though there wasn't much going on. Food was tasty. ToGoodToGo is intended to save food, not to get a small portion of everyday business. Definitely expandable. I'll be happy to convince you next time. 😉

Worthy of mention is the participation in TooGoodToGo, which was also the reason for my visit. When I picked it up, I showed the - presumably boss - my cell phone to confirm the pickup. The boss wanted to do it himself, but then let me do it. He then asked me to go back a page in the app. When I asked why, the only answer I got was “can you leave a 5 star rating straight away?” I wasn't sure if he was serious and said that we could talk about it when I had the food in my hand and had eaten it later. Without further comment he headed towards the kitchen. Another customer who also wanted to pick up an order via TooGoodToGo told me that she had also tried this approach. I find that rude and yet a bit questionable to try to get good reviews like that. I paid €5, the stated value of the goods (usually three times the paid value) was €15. I don't really want to complain, the food was good so far, the portion wasn't the largest, somewhere else you might have paid €8-10 for it, but not €15. Nevertheless, TooGoodToGo is about saving food from the bin, but it's also about ensuring that the seller sticks to the rules. If he states €15, these should also be roughly adhered to, it's not about €1 , but something more. As I said, I paid €5 and it was more than okay, but I still didn't like the behavior of the restaurant, hence the rating given.

We had various dishes and starters and all of them were very tasty and the size was more than sufficient and appropriate for the price. The interior is very cozy and the service staff is very friendly and attentive. We definitely weren't there for the last time.

I always eat the baked lamb and can only recommend it. We've been coming to eat here for years and Delphi is our number 1 Greek restaurant. You can easily take a 45-minute drive there. Top! Please stay as you are.
