Restaurant Dalmatino in Stuttgart

Super delicious Croatian and Swabian food. Unfortunately it will close soon in December

We looked at the reviews before we arrived 4 hours ago and have rarely been so disappointed with the facts we found on site. A restaurant called "Dalmatino" was the first to be noticed with a local German radio instead of Croatian - or Dalmatian - music. The annoying flickering disco lights and the loud sound system - with constant traffic information - did the rest. My wife had Pjeskavica, I had the grill plate. Her pljeskavica was paper-thin, had probably never seen a grill, was gray-black in color and rubbery. There was one of these on my grill plate, but much smaller. The cevapcici seemed to have been warmed up just like the rest of the grilled plate. It didn't look fresh from the grill. The Ajvar was really thin (stretched?) and I've definitely never seen such an almost liquid Djuvec rice. The best thing about the grill plate was the raw onions and the fries, the rest for an unbelievable €20 for the grill plate wasn't worth the money. In addition, it was so little that neither my wife nor I were full and we still needed pancakes to fill us up. Although we were now the only guests (at 6 p.m.!), the pancakes arrived cold. Even my wife's "spritzer" (half white wine, half mineral water) was brought with stale water instead of bubbling mineral water as is usual in Croatia. 65 € thrown out the window. There was no salad with either meal. We weren't asked if we wanted one. The worst Croatian in many, many years... and we always eat Croatian when we are in another city in Germany. As we walked, we noticed the desolate area on the right where you could probably sit outside in the summer: completely full of leaves on tables, chairs and the floor. Really bad. We have never seen such a rotten place in Croatia, but exactly the opposite: perfectly clean. But not with the “Dalmatino”.

Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive and was able to answer any questions we had about the dishes and wines in detail. The recommendations were excellent and went a long way to making our evening an unforgettable experience. The heart of the restaurant is of course the food. The menu at Dalmatino is diverse and offers a wide selection of Dalmatian specialties, all prepared with fresh and high quality ingredients. Every course we tried was a culinary delight. The starters were a perfect start - especially the seafood platter, which was fresh and delicate. The main course, a traditional Dalmatian dish, was superbly seasoned and perfectly prepared. The combination of flavors was masterful and demonstrated the chef's high culinary skills. The wine list at Dalmatino is equally impressive. It offers a carefully curated selection of regional wines and international wines. We sought advice from the sommelier and his choice matched our dishes perfectly, which further increased the enjoyment. Another highlight was the dessert. We decided on a homemade dessert that was not only a visual work of art, but also tasted of the highest quality. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients was evident in every bite. In addition to the excellent food and excellent service, Dalmatino also offers very good value for money. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality of the food and the service provided. It is clearly noticeable that value is placed on customer satisfaction and an all-round successful restaurant experience. In summary, the Dalmatino restaurant is a real insider tip for anyone who wants to enjoy high-quality Dalmatian cuisine in a beautiful ambience. Every visit is a pleasure for all the senses and we will certainly be back soon. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent cuisine and outstanding service!

I had the grill plate. Food was very tasty and well seared. Portion was with rice and fries. Various types of meat were also very plentiful. Great value for money

Oh my god, this was the best restaurant in a long time! Everything is just right here - from the ambience to the dessert. We were ten hungry people and the portions were just right. To start with a nice Aperol spritz, then, for me, the small side salad and the highlight was a wonderful onion roast... or maybe the vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries was the highlight. Some had the grill plate, liver or Wiener schnitzel. Everything was served promptly and together. A truly perfect evening!

Wir waren am 11.11.2023 dort. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Kellner war der Oberhammer, obwohl er fast alle alleine bedient hat, musste niemand lange warten. Überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr schnell 👍

Super tolles Ambiente. Der Service ist mega. Freundlichkeit wird hier groß geschrieben. Es gibt eine riesen Auswahl an Gerichten und egal was man nimmt,es schmeckt mega. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß, Preis Leistung top.

Tolles Essen, sehr nettes Personal.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Dalmatino, und ich war sehr positiv gestimmt. Das Essen war echt super lecker und eine absolut ausreichende Portion. Die Bedienung hatte auch immer einen lockeren Spruch auf Lager, somit stand einem gemütlichen Aufenthalt nichts im Wege. Sobald ich wieder Mal in Stuttgart bin, komme ich gerne wieder.

Waren spazieren und sind dem leckeren Geruch gefolgt :) Das Restaurant wirkt sehr sauber, das Essen frisch. Einfache, aber sehr leckere Küche. Oft bekomme ich bei deftigem Essen danach Magenschmerzen, das war hier nicht der Fall. (Obwohl ich ne riesen Portion verdrückt habe.) Der Service war auch sehr freundlich. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Hier kann man richtig gut Essen. Kroatische und schwäbische Spezialitäten. Aktuell gibt es auf der Tageskarte ein Rinderfilet, mit Pfeffersoße und Kroketten. Wer gerne Fisch mag, ist hier genau richtig. Der Fisch vom Grill schmeckt super (z.B. Dorade). Nur genial. Kann das Dalmatino nur empfehlen. Auch die Parkplatzsituation ist super, 50 m vom Restaurant entfernt ist ein großer Parkplatz.
