Lovely atmosphere...rustic corner benches, friendly service...a great place to linger. The Swiss sausage salad would be even better with the original cheese and sausage strips.

This was my first time in Neuburg, and I was brought here with friends. I was really impressed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I didn't have any pork knuckle, but we'll see you again ✌️ and greetings to Kerstin!

We spontaneously stopped by on Sunday evening after spending the day in Neuburg. Luckily, we snagged a table without a reservation. Delicious food, good service, and clean restrooms. What more could you want? We'd love to go back!

Today my wife and I had the schnitzel with mushrooms and egg noodles, it was amazing. The portion was huge and the service was fantastic. We haven't had such a good experience with a restaurant in a long time.

If it has to be Bavarian, then go to the Central. I've been eating here for a very, very long time... over 12 years. Unfortunately, the portions have shrunk a bit... The salad was only half as large, as were the croquettes 😳 I noticed this very clearly today with the Cordon Bleu... I just notice things like that, and other guests do too. The taste is just as good as before... It's a real shame, because if they keep cutting costs like this, I'd rather go somewhere else. I've also noticed that the staff are treated harshly. It's rather unpleasant for a guest...

Large portion, delicious food and friendly staff.

We love eating here! I can really recommend everything. The soups are incredibly delicious 😍 The turkey schnitzel with potato salad is delicious. We always look forward to coming back to Central and are so grateful that you exist. 👍👌💯

The food was good, but unfortunately it took over an hour for our order to arrive at our table. The server was totally unfriendly and rude: if it took too long, we'd have to cook the same dishes next time. THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE!!!

We visit this restaurant in the small "district town" of Neuburg an der Donau about once or twice a quarter. Why? Because it's simply quaint, cozy, delicious, friendly, and above all, authentically Bavarian. The portions are generous, the selection is appealing, and the value for money is also good. The whole experience is rounded out by genuinely friendly and approachable service staff in a relaxed atmosphere. The "permanent beer tent," attached directly to the interior and featuring heaters that allow for a cozy get-together whatever the wind, weather, and even during the transitional seasons, is the icing on the cake and makes the Central a little bit special. Only the parking situation can be a bit of a gamble every now and then. Overall, though, it's definitely 👍🏻.

So, I was there again yesterday and I have to say it was the worst visit in 13 years. We only ever went for the Cordon Bleu and/or Schnitzel. Yesterday, however, the portion was a real joke compared to usual. A colleague ate a pork knuckle that was completely overcooked on the outside and the size of a pear or a small bell pepper. I had a schnitzel and thought I'd ordered a senior's plate. The schnitzel was a mere shadow of its former self, and there were a handful of fries underneath. The quality was never 5 stars for me, more like 3-4 (store-bought coleslaw, etc.), but people enjoyed going there because of the portions. If it continues like this in the future, I can only advise against it. I hope that was just a slip-up.

Friendly service showed us a table right outside. A highchair for our child was provided immediately upon request. The food was fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. We'd be happy to return!

Prices have risen moderately, but portions have been moderately reduced. I had a daily special. It tasted okay. When the senior was still in charge, the rations were correct. After the son took over, this changed noticeably. If I have to go back to the kitchen after a meal, I can skip eating out (at least at Central).

Absolutely fantastic location with very friendly service. The ambiance is typically Bavarian. Huge portions; if you leave the table hungry, it's your own fault. The food is delicious; there's absolutely nothing to complain about. The service is incredibly friendly and incredibly fast. I'd happily return anytime.

I wanted to order a Weißwurst breakfast around 9:20 today. When I tried to place my order (a wheat beer and a couple of Weißwursts) with the waiter (who was rather grumpy), he simply said that the kitchen wasn't ready yet, so there was nothing to serve! I wonder what's so complicated about heating some water and warming up a couple of sausages—that's all it takes! Then they should just state on the menu when the kitchen is ready!

Been to Central for the first time in a long time... Wednesday is the spare rib special menu... at 7 p.m. it was no longer possible to order them... the substitute meal chosen was of very poor quality... around 50 euros wasted on poor quality... never again

Great team, fast service. You can hear the music in the background, but it's definitely not loud enough to interfere with conversation. Great selection of food and drinks. The cordon bleu was amazing: juicy, well-filled, and with a crispy crust. I'd be happy to come back anytime. Highly recommended

The Central is a very traditional restaurant. If you're expecting fancy food, you're in the wrong place. The food here is very good and plentiful. The draft beer is very good. I had currywurst with fries and two half-pints of beer today. It was a real treat. Thanks to the Central team.

Yes, definitely. I've eaten here several times, and I don't understand some of the bad reviews. I had pork liver with homemade mashed potatoes and homemade onions. It was truly delicious.

Very central, nice food and drinks, taste was also okay, portion for two, so it's impressive, and the price is reasonable too.

Schnitzel too fat and a not so soft. Semmelknödel was kindof mushy. Afpelschorle was super good.

Annoying that the opening times stated were incorrect, at least today. According to the Internet today, Tuesday (after Easter) open, in reality closed. Why am I complaining? Because I wanted to visit Neuburg again especially because of the good cuisine... and nothing happened. So please maintain published information on an ongoing basis!

I've never eaten so badly. After a short while my stomach thanked me for it. The nearest toilet was just around the corner. The size of the portion is not that important, the quality should be the priority. I can't make any recommendations.

I don't understand these reviews. Before even greeting us, our server yelled at the nice colleague who was trying to be so kind as to take our order because of the wait. The food is abysmal! Garlic bread with garlic powder, frozen mushrooms and canned vegetables in a cream sauce, horrible cheese spaetzle, and an atmosphere that would make you want to run away. Absolutely inadequate value for money. I'm still angry about every euro.

Can only be recommended. We've been coming here for years. Usually 10 to 12 people come there, all of them enthusiastic about the food and the service, regardless of whether it is the female waiter or the young man who serves. Great attention is paid to special requests. Absolutely great!! Our first choice when it comes to where do we go to eat. THANKS to the entire team there, who are always polite and courteous to all guests despite the full house.

Highly recommended. The staff was super nice and very attentive. The restaurant is easy to reach and there is plenty of parking nearby. It was also possible to drive through the restaurant with a walker and they even made sure that you could get to the table as best as possible with a walker. We'd love to come back.

The inn is cult. If you want to be full, go there. Prices reasonably cheap. Unfortunately kitchen smells in the guest room. Great outdoor area in summer, you can observe from far away.

We were drawn in by a recommendation and were not disappointed. We have rarely eaten so well. A big compliment to the kitchen and service team. Not only is the price/performance ratio right here, but also the service and the cuisine.

Seldom eaten so badly. Even the beer from the bottle didn't taste good because the glass smelled. The salad consisted of cheap iceberg with ready-made dressing. The mushrooms on it were without salt. The calamari was tasteless, the rice was soggy and the side salad was as just described.

Fried potatoes don't work at all and you have to wait an hour for the good food. Have eaten better

We've always enjoyed coming here but today was a disgrace. 1 hour 15 minutes waiting time, not even the toddler's food was brought in advance, my food was lukewarm and a colleague got the wrong thing, which wouldn't be a problem if they hadn't charged him the price difference. We were there today, ordered 3 liverkas and the turkey schnitzel, Unfortunately, after an hour and a half there was still no food! We then asked the waitress where the food was, She just said it would take a while. After 2 hours still no food!! We then just paid for our drinks and said that we had lost our appetite, people who were there after us received their food and we didn't. When we paid, a waitress noticed and intervened and complained about us!!! A thicker one with short black hair!! CRAZINESS !! AN IMPUDENCE. NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!!!!! Doesn't even deserve one star
