Unreserved recommendation In July 2025, I celebrated my birthday with almost 30 guests at the Wiesental restaurant. The planning and preliminary discussions went smoothly and without complications; the appointments were kept – as expected. The event itself was a 100% success. The restaurant was lovingly decorated, and the dishes were clearly presented, including labels in front of them. The appetizers, main course, and dessert were generously sized, so everyone was satisfied. The quality of the food can only be rated 10 out of 10 stars. I would also like to emphasize the excellent and friendly service. The two good fairies looked after us attentively yet unobtrusively and ensured that we lacked nothing. A big thank you again goes to the manager, to the staff working behind the scenes in the kitchen, etc., and to the dedicated service staff.

La dolce vita in Wiesental! We love the vegetarian pizza and a Calabrian red wine! And that's right after a visit from Blau-Weiß, our swimming club. Super friendly service and a friendly owner.

The four of us spent a very pleasant Saturday evening in the beer garden. Although it was crowded, the service was excellent. The food was very good. The prices were reasonable. The beer garden is worth a visit!

Only pitchers outside... They're no longer available at this beautiful place, but instead: all drinks, whether water, apple spritzer, pilsner, or shandy... only come in 0.4-liter glasses! Even at 30 degrees Celsius in the middle of summer, this is challenging for many. It's no use asking, or usually a woman, "I can't manage that much - isn't there a smaller size?" "No," the resolute waiter resolutely counters, brooking no argument: "It's like that everywhere! In all Bochum beer gardens! But you're welcome to sit inside the restaurant! You can do that there!" In the bright sunshine, this prospect wasn't very promising. Too bad. We didn't feel like eating anymore. Small correction: They still serve pitchers! There's nothing more to add to the response to the review! As I said: Beautiful terrace - even just for sitting!

Not Child-Friendly – ​​Disappointing Visit My two sons (7 years old) were alone in the café to buy a scoop of ice cream each. While reading the ice cream flavors, they were reprimanded by an employee for allegedly being too loud. He said he couldn't stand that volume and they were only allowed to whisper – mind you, these were two first-graders who simply wanted to learn about ice cream. After ordering, they wanted to wait inside for their ice cream because of the heat. However, an employee instructed them to leave the café and wait outside. Shortly afterward, another employee told them they could stay inside – only to be sent back out shortly afterwards. The ice cream tasted okay, but the way they treated the children was neither friendly nor understanding. Overall, it wasn't a place where children are welcome – a real shame.

It's always nice to sit in the beer garden there in the summer. Very friendly staff and great service. We always enjoy coming there.

We've been going to Wiesental regularly for some time now. Food, drinks, service, restaurant and the beautiful beer garden in the countryside are always very good. The Tagliatelle Taormina are highly recommended.

We celebrated my son's baptism here, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. The buffet was delicious, the service extremely attentive and friendly, and all our wishes were fulfilled. It was also a very loving and relaxed environment for the children. And, of course, the restaurant is also in a great location in the heart of the Wiesental valley. We went back last Saturday for a lovely dinner.

We celebrated a friend's 70th birthday there yesterday. Everything was invitingly decorated. The food was also attractively presented in the form of a buffet. The dishes were hot and tasted excellent. Whether meat or fish, everything is very tasty. The meat was really tender. The rice, potato gratin, spinach and sauces also tasted excellent. There was also a plentiful selection of salads and various starters such as bruschetta and tuna baguette and much more. Dessert rounded off the buffet with chocolate pudding, tiramisu and panna cotta. The buffet was always well stocked as it was replenished very quickly. There were many guests there, the buffet was enough for everyone. And guests who wanted could also take something home with them. We had a wonderful evening and can only recommend this restaurant.

Nach der kirchlichen Taufe unseres Enkels, kamen wir mit Familie und Freunden, insgesamt 24 Personen, hier her zum Mittagessen. Wir hatte ein kaltes und warmes Buffet bestellt, was sehr gut und reichlich war. Für dieses und ähnliche Familienfeiern ist man hier gut eigerichtet und richtet sich kreativ nach den Wünschen der Gäste. Der Service ist freundlich und präsent. Wenn man sich entschließen könnte, die Einrichtung und den Außenbereich durch schöneres Mobiliar aufzuwerten, würde es kaum etwas zum Meckern geben.

First the positive. The service was great, the ladies were attentive and quick. There's nothing to complain about there. Unfortunately the kitchen was a bit disappointing. With the goose breast for almost 30 euros there was only ready-made spaetzle, and then also dried goods that were only cooked and unfortunately didn't see any butter, it's really sad. The lasagna tastes like frozen. The Jägerschnitzel came without sauce, just with fried mushrooms, which were tasty. The tomatoes in the bruschetta were watery and the whole thing was quite tasteless. All in all, the kitchen unfortunately didn't convince us. The price for the appetizer platter was also quite reasonable.

Very arrogant and unfriendly, customers are forced to pay up to 20 euros in cash, card payments are only accepted from 20 euros. Patients are sent 2 km back to the hospital to collect cash. Really incomprehensible. Never again.

Am 1 September waren wir mit 22 Personen, im Restaurant Wiesental, und haben dort meinen 60. Geburtstag gefeiert. Es war einfach wieder total fantastisch. Die Bedienungen sehr sehr freundlich, und haben wirklich auf alles geachtet. Das Brunchbuffet war wie erwartet sehr abwechslungsreich, lecker, und einfach nur zum schlemmen. Es wurde auch immer wieder aufgefüllt. Auf den Fotos sieht man leider nicht das ganze Buffet. Es war natürlich noch viel viel mehr, und Kaffee und Orangensaft waren auch im Preis mit drin, was ich auch sehr gut fand. Es gab dann noch zwei warme Gerichte, Klöße, ein total leckerer Schweinebraten, und Rotkohl. Sowie eine wirklich sehr gut schmeckende Lasagne. Auch beim Frühstück fehlte es an nichts. Ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen die Auswahl der Brötchen war total vielseitig, das hat man auch nicht überall. Und die Brötchen waren richtig schön weich und nicht so knochenhart wie ich das schon oft erlebt habe. Die Aufmachung war auch wie immer sehr schön. Wir haben einen super Platz gehabt. Das Restaurant war sauber und gemütlich. Es waren alle meine Gäste begeistert und haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist schon der zweite Geburtstag den ich dort gefeiert habe. Ich werde immer wieder wenn ein besonderer Anlass ansteht ins Restaurant Wiesental gehen. Und außer der Reihe sowieso. Das einzigste was nicht so schön war, war dass ich für ein 7 jähriges Mädchen, ein 12 jähriges Mädchen und einen 13-jährigen Jungen, den vollen Preis von knapp 24 € bezahlen musste. Ich finde da müsstet ihr echt dran arbeiten, denn die Kinder haben wirklich sehr wenig gegessen. Dafür fand ich den Preis dann wirklich zu teuer. Ansonsten war alles wirklich super. Absolut empfehlenswert und wenn ich könnte würde ich zehn Sterne vergeben. Danke noch mal ihr Lieben. Ihr habt mir wirklich einen ganz tollen Geburtstag bereitet, und wenn das mit den Kindern mit den Preis nicht so gewesen wäre dann wäre der Geburtstag mehr als fantastisch gewesen. Location great, food and service mediocre. A pity. 9/12/21 Were there with a larger group. Service wasn't unfriendly but not really friendly either. Not particularly attentive or engaging. Guests sit in front of empty plates for far too long. Far from good Italian cuisine. Or good German cuisine. There's pizza, pasta and schnitzel, but they're not convincing. Either drowned in cream sauce or gratinated with cheese. Pizza and schnitzel are convenience in my opinion. Only three open white wines are not enough for a restaurant. The joy of sitting with friends in such a beautiful place is more than marred by the below-average gastronomic performance. You're just annoyed that you spent money on this meal. Frosta and Dr. can do that. Oetker at least as good. The website is full of typos and looks like it's from the 1990s. This has nothing to do with the food. But it fits with the overall impression. Little sense of joy in gastronomy and professionalism. A pity. The location deserves it. So does the purchasing power of residents. Just a shame.

Kann man, aber muss man nicht, fasst es zusammen. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, aber nicht besonders professionell. Man reinigt keine Tische in 3 Meter Entfernung mit Glasreiniger und nebelt die Räume ein. Man schiebt auch keine schweren Tische mit Lärm an den Gästen vorbei. Vor allem nicht um 21.00 Uhr am Samstag. Das Essen ist ausreichend. Nicht gut ,nicht schlecht. Hier geht man wegen der Lage hin, nicht wegen der gastronomischen Leistung. Die Inneneinrichtung ist schwer zu ertragen.. Lieblos zusammengewürfelt. Alles etwas dunkel. Strohblumen sind auch seit den 80er out. Dieser Laden könnte soviel mehr. Dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist, ist für ein Restaurant im Jahr 2024 ein Unding. Was soll das?

A visit to this restaurant left a bitter taste. As soon as you entered, there was an unpleasant bag check, which was a clear invasion of privacy. In order not to let the bowling evening fall through, we agreed or endured the procedure. The bowling room smelled extremely unpleasant and didn't add to the pleasant atmosphere. The food, especially the pizza, was excessively greasy. The fact that only cash payment was accepted was also disappointing. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Leckeres Essen Toller Biergarten Gutes Ambiente Immer gerne wieder

Eine Lokalität mit sehr viel Potential. Wunderschön gelegen. Allerdings stinkt es penetrant nach altem Frittierfett und dies über das gesamte Schwimmbad. Das der Betreiber keinen Sinn für Sauberkeit hat, spiegelt sich an dem total verschmutztem und bemoosten Eingangsbereich wieder. So etwas sticht ins Auge und stößt ab. ANTWORT: Also täglich Frittierfett wechseln lasse ich mal so stehen, aber mit einem breiten Grinsen. Dann wären sie der erste.... Wenn der Bauer nicht schwimmen kann liegt es nicht immer an der Badehose. Der unsaubere Eingangsbereich fällt auf ihre Gastronomie zurück und nicht auf den Vermieter, das noch mal so zur Kenntnis. Ich empfehle Ärmel hochkrempeln und einfach mal sauber machen.

Wir waren mit zwei Kindern hier und haben Eis gegessen. Die Kinder waren laut und ungeduldig, normal, und trotzdem- die Bedienung war freundlich und geduldig. Es ist schön hier und wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Preise sind in Ordnung , eine Kugel Eis kostet 1,30 € .

Schöne Möglichkeit sich bei dem super Wetter hinzusetzen. Dass es draußen nur 0,4l Gläser gibt ist bei dem Wetter kein Problem. Muss die sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung auch nicht so oft laufen 😀

Sehr schlechte parkmöglichkeiten für gehbehinderte ist es ein beschwerlichen Weg von oben mit dem Auto nicht zu erreichen

Essen war gut, allerdings mussten wir trotz geringer Kundschaft eine Stunde auf die Speisen warten. Portionen durchschnittlich, dafür Preise saftig. Durch die Nähe zum Schwimmbadeingang nebenan, bleibt eine gewisse Lärmbelästigung im Biergarten nicht aus. Direkte Parkplätze existieren nicht. Absoluter Tiefpunkt des Besuches, neben der hohen Wartezeit, war der Hinweis bei der Bezahlung, dass Kartenzahlung nicht akzeptiert wird. Da bleibt nur die Fahrt zum nächsten Geldautomaten. Vorherige Aufklärung über die Zahlunsmöglichkeiten leider Fehlanzeige. Lediglich ein winziger und unübersichtlich angebrachter Hinweis auf der Eingangstür klärt hier auf.

Schade das es so weit von einem Parkplatz abliegt. Für ältere Personen mit behinderung zufuß kaum zuerreichen. Man kann sich allerdings bis zum Restaurant fahren lassen.
