L'Osteria Bochum in Bochum

We were here on a Sunday lunchtime, and it was also a flea market. We didn't have to wait for a table; there were still quite a few seats available. The service was very friendly and prompt. The food was also good, especially the huge calzone. The only downside, however, is the noise level inside. The noise level is already high due to the structure, but turning the music up so loud is unnecessary.

We arrived at L'Osteria in the Ruhrpark around 5:30 p.m. It was very busy, and we waited outside at first – perfectly fine. However, it took forever to get seated. Although several tables were visibly free (and remained free even later), the lady who assigned us seats repeatedly put us off. Only after clearly indicating this did she finally show us a table. Her demeanor was unfortunately very unfriendly and seemed indifferent. The actual server at our table, on the other hand, was very nice and brought our drinks quickly. However, we waited an extremely long time for the food. Guests who arrived after us had already finished their appetizers and main courses and left again, while we were still waiting for our food. Asking questions didn't help much either. When the food finally arrived, it tasted really good – there's nothing wrong with that. But the combination of unfriendly seating, incomprehensible table allocation, and the very long wait massively spoiled the overall impression. Conclusion: Delicious food, but unfortunately poor service. Hence only 2 stars.

Absolutely authentic cuisine. Great ambiance, and there's a wonderful playground for the kids right next door. But it's not just the food and the ambiance that are worth highlighting; above all, it's the wonderful people who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, like Szilvia, whose warmth and energy turn an already great restaurant into an excellent one. Yesterday, I went to L'Osteria Bochum with my mom. First of all, in case you're reading this: I told you I'd keep my word, Ardil ;) The evening was truly lovely, and that wasn't just because of the food, but especially because of our waiter, Ardil. He was incredibly attentive, super friendly, and immediately put a smile on our faces with his positive attitude. You could immediately tell that he puts his heart into his job and really cares about his guests. Thank you again, Ardil – you made our visit special. We wish we had employees like him more often!

The food was great. The waiters and staff were very friendly, and now the big BUT: The restrooms were in appalling condition. The trash cans were overflowing, the floor littered with paper towels. The restrooms were uncleaned and dirty, with blood-stained sanitary pads on the floor. This situation was not remedied despite several hours of warnings to the staff.

My girlfriend and I went to L'Osteria yesterday and were served by Ardil. His passion for his work made our visit truly special! We'd love to come back.

We had to wait 50 minutes for our food: one pizza and one bruschetta. When it was brought, we immediately told them we wanted to pay because we were pressed for time due to the long wait. It took another 30 minutes, and we called twice. Not recommended!

We had to wait 20 minutes for drinks, another hour for the food, and the restaurant wasn't even fully booked (a good third of the tables were empty)! On top of that, the food was only lukewarm. After we confronted the waiter about the situation, he became quite rude to us. Sorry, but never again!

We were at L'Osteria am Ruhrpark in Bochum, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Right from the start, the manager (with red hair) told us we'd have to wait about 30 to 45 minutes for our food – which was fine with us. After over an hour, however, we still hadn't received anything, not even the side salad. When we asked, the manager seemed disorganized, had to ask several times what we had ordered, and then explained that the pizza was "already in the oven" and would arrive in 10 minutes at the latest. After another almost 15 minutes, there was still nothing. We noted that there was no small gift like bread or any compensation for the long wait, and that we found it outrageous to be kept waiting for so long. Instead of understanding or a solution, the only response was, "Okay, that's it for you today." Any feedback was blocked. That's not how you treat guests. We are truly disappointed and unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant in this form.

After a 55-minute wait, the meal (3 pasta dishes and one children's pizza) was canceled even though the restaurant wasn't at full capacity. The appetizer (bread with dip) only arrived after 40 minutes, upon request.

Mediocre food at completely inflated prices. I wasn't impressed with the taste, and the food was cold.

The food and service were great. What's annoying is that the numerous visitors (mainly mothers with their children) to the playground are constantly walking across the terrace to go to the restroom. And unfortunately, the restrooms look exactly like that. They should consider restricting the use of the restrooms to guests only.

Unfortunately, today's service was only mediocre, and that's still really nice! We had to wait an incredible amount of time today. After ordering drinks, we waited forever for our drinks. Ordered food... and waited another good hour. Then the table didn't clear away for ages. The pizzas weren't really hot, and one time pasta was only brought after we asked for it. Reordering drinks was rather difficult because hardly anyone came to the table. When the table was being cleared, I immediately ordered dessert and waited another 40 minutes. If it had been my first time, I definitely wouldn't go back.

We've been here a couple of times because the food is pretty good. Apart from that, our visit today was undoubtedly terrible. We reserved a table for 7:00 a.m., but drinks didn't arrive until half an hour after ordering, after repeated requests. It's now 8:23 p.m., and we haven't even received our appetizers, let alone the main course we ordered. I would have liked to take a photo of the dining table, as I always do—but I can't take photos of anything... We won't do that again!

Our visit to Loateria Bochum was, unfortunately, a complete disappointment. Right from the start, we had to wait about 20 minutes before anyone even attended to us. When we were finally approached, we were rudely informed that we could expect a wait of about 90 minutes between the starter and the main course – without any understanding or cooperation. The service was also seriously flawed: Our drinks sat untouched at the bar for about ten minutes before they were brought to us. The Coke was stale and tasted bland. The food itself was also disappointing. The pizza was carelessly prepared and barely topped – there were just four slices of salami on one half. No trace of quality or care. All of this was accompanied by unfriendly service, which further compounded the already poor overall impression. As if that weren't enough, the restrooms were in a completely unhygienic and heavily soiled condition – another factor that made the visit unenjoyable.

We were there on Thursday and were very satisfied. Drinks were served quickly, which was good given the warm weather. The food was also served quickly. We had a pizza and tortelloni prosciutto e panna. Both were delicious. The pizza base was thin and crispy, and the pasta dish alone deserves 5 stars. The service was very friendly and was asked once if everything was okay. I especially appreciated the high temperatures when they asked if I could possibly order another drink. Kudos to the kitchen staff for preparing the delicious food promptly despite the high temperatures. Thank you.

The service was abysmal. Unfortunately, the waitress ignored us and instead took the orders of several tables that had arrived after us. We're really upset and won't be visiting the place again in the future!

The pizza is huge and also very good! The atmosphere is more reminiscent of a cafeteria, very loud due to the high ceilings. The service was excellent and very cheerful. The young lady deserves at least 6 stars. She swapped the drinks because the Coke was lacking carbonation, but she was also honest enough to tell us that a new Coke wouldn't improve the situation. We then opted for a different drink, which was okay. Unfortunately, there was still leftover food from the previous person on our plates, but the young lady swapped that with a smile. It can happen! When the dishwasher is running continuously. Because I don't like the atmosphere, I'm only giving it 4 stars.

The pizzas are large, and depending on the type, they're very tasty. When it's full, it gets very loud, but the atmosphere is still nice. The service was good, friendly, attentive, and cheerful.

We like to eat here before going to the movies, and so far everything has always been great. Today, however, was a complete disaster. We had booked a table at 6:30, but drinks were already half an hour away. After an hour of waiting, we unfortunately had to ask for the pizza to be packed because we were running out of time to get to the movie. The waitress was nice and apologized several times, but having to wait so long for the food (over an hour in total) is unfortunately not acceptable. Other people had arrived after us and they got their food first. A family who arrived before us also had to wait a very long time. It wasn't extremely busy, after all, it was a Tuesday evening and not a Saturday. We've also been there on a Saturday evening with four people, and it went faster then, even though we still had to wait for our table. We'd still love to come back, but we'll definitely allow more time.

We ate there for the first time. We had pasta aglio olio and a pizza picante. The pizzas are huge for the price, but the toppings are limited. The dough is more reminiscent of bread, and the pizza is swimming in oil. The taste was okay, but it's not a good pizza. The pasta, in comparison, was okay, even if the portion was considerably smaller. The ambiance is visually appealing, but the acoustics are terrible. It's so loud you'd think you were in the middle of a giant mall.
