L'Osteria Bochum in Bochum

I don't know where to start... since we ordered take-out, we came up with the nice idea of ​​having a drink at the bar... there shouldn't be anything difficult about an Ipanema (I thought)... The waitress gave me a bucket of ginger ale with an unpressed lime and crumbs (cane?!?!) of sugar, which was piss warm and dead like my great grandma. I doubt very much whether the ice cubes were out, but they didn't find their way into my Ipanema. The plus point was (I thought) that there was more to drink, which turned out to be a minus point after the first one. Now the expertise about my "food" in my Bolognese you could fry a whole beef in it with as much oil as there was floating in it, it didn't take 2 minutes and it came out unfiltered, we don't need to talk about the pizza which was served ice cold. All in all, I could have thrown up cheaper.

A nice location with normal Losteria food: that means good pizza 🍕 With nice staff. The portions are so good that you can take half of it home with you. It was also packed up quickly without any problems

The only Losteria where I really enjoy eating. Even though the recipes are supposedly the same everywhere, the pizza here is really delicious and so is the Caesar's Salad, as I discovered this time. It's really comfortable to sit there, both inside and outside and our personal icing on the cake is service from our favorite waitress Silvia 😊. We are happy every time she is there. Gladly again…

A restaurant in Bochum's Ruhrpark Westfield. It is large and was well attended on Saturday, although there was a bit of a wait. There is plenty of choice on the menu. The food was delicious and the staff was always friendly and accommodating.

As always, the noodles were very tasty and our waitress Berhan was super nice and charismatic. We felt really welcome.

I went to L'Osteria in Ruhrpark for dinner today. I chose a new drink Monaco Organic Bitter Lemon - with purely natural ingredients - was served with ice and lemon - good taste. When I asked, the waiter, Mr. Berhan, explained to me that some of the lemons are even harvested from their own trees - before being used in the drink, the lemons are washed (i.e. freed from pesticides). The Pizza Degli Artisti was a thin crispy base, very well topped with fresh peppers and mushrooms and other ingredients - with extra artichokes. It was a good combination in terms of taste. I was completely satisfied.

I noticed that there was still bread missing from the carpaccio. "It's still taking time, it needs to be baked first." I didn't touch the extra carpaccio, a quarter of an hour later the waiter said that it would take a while and that the bread would only come with the main courses. There was no bread with the main courses either. I didn't care then. When the waiter asked me for dessert, I should have said to bring me the bread with the carpaccio. But then I didn't care. If he had said: "sorry, bread is out" and had given me an obligatory euro off my bill, everything would have been fine. Well, all in all, there's a bad rating for it now.

We ate there on a Saturday afternoon after a shopping trip in the center. When the weather is nice you can sit outside, unfortunately right next to the children's playground. The food was good, the service was friendly.

We were then escorted to our table, and there we pointed out a highchair for the second time. After 5 minutes, we asked again. In total, after 20 minutes from the time we sat down, we were asked for our drinks and food without receiving a menu. When we were taking our order, we pointed out the highchair again. Then, after 5 minutes, we were asked again, and finally, one was brought. The cooking time wasn't all that bad, since it was very busy.

Incredibly bad! Online reservation with birthday option. Birthday was ignored despite my advice! So you can save yourself the hassle with the birthday option. The pasta dish was kept warm for ages, hence a crust on the sauce. The salad was missing 2 of 5 main ingredients. The salad was given out without any mention of the missing cucumbers and radishes. Beef pieces were black and burnt. You can't go wrong in a salad. Price around 15 euros! Restaurant manager offered incompetent solution. The acoustics of the restaurant resembled a train station hall, it was dirty and there was no paper in the women's toilet. My idea of ​​eating there for my birthday was a complete failure!

The acoustics in this place are a disaster. Personal conversation almost impossible due to loud music and lack of soundproofing equipment. It's better to sit outside in warm weather. The food? Solid. Pizza was huge as always, taste was great. But: If you come with children, it should be made clear to you right from the start that you have to have plenty of time. Waiting 50 minutes for our food - with hungry children at the table - is really borderline. Don't get me wrong: If we're traveling without kids, I think it's totally okay if families are given priority. But there is simply no sensitivity here. Making parents with young children wait that long is just not a good move. Communication right from the start would be the key - then you can decide whether to stay or go to the nearest Italian restaurant around the corner.

A big thank you to our waiter Ardil for his kindness and great service throughout the entire visit. Always with a smile, attentive and helpful. It's nice to meet such warm people. Thank you again!

Unfortunately I had to wait almost an hour for my food.

Definitely not a recommendation! The ambience is like a train station or an airport, just way too loud. The food itself tasted very good, I had spaghetti carbonara and spaghetti ice cream. However, the portions were ridiculously small, so I would have expected twice the amount for the price. The prices initially seemed acceptable, but considering the portion size it was clearly too expensive. I saw quite large pizzas there, maybe that would have been a better choice.

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for our food even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy. During this time we were hardly noticed by the waiters and our questions were brushed off rather than taken seriously. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is actually quite nice. Hopefully the service will improve as it doesn't leave a good impression.
