L'Osteria Bochum in Bochum

Great team here at Losteria. The food tastes great. Reservations definitely need to be made on weekends. Good organization even when the store is 100% full. Unfortunately, the staff in the washrooms are not available on weekends. But unfortunately that also gives a deep insight into how some people (customers) deal with washrooms...

Very friendly, courteous staff, nice atmosphere. The pizzas are huge, apparently rolled out by hand because they are not perfectly round (which is not necessary at all) and so they are perfect for the price. In itself a highly recommended restaurant, especially if you come after shopping.

The employees there are consistently very friendly and considerate. The lasagne, however, was a taste catastrophe, not to mention a real outrage for the price.

The food tastes very good, the waiters and waitress are very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, on Friday and Saturday evenings you often have to wait for a very long time and sometimes disproportionately long for your food. It would at least be helpful if the employees pointed out the long waiting time. My criticism is directed at the "hygienic" conditions in the women's toilet and that despite repeated requests on different days and employees nothing has changed. The sanitary facilities are dirty and unhygienic, there are toilet paper and rolls on the floor, there is only one There is a soap dispenser which is broken and there are usually no paper towels left. Unfortunately, the condition of the toilets casts a negative light on the general hygienic situation in the Losteria. I'm writing this review with the hope that something will change in terms of hygiene in the toilets. Unfortunately, nothing has changed so far after direct contact.

Food was good, but I was a little disappointed with the spaghetti ice cream.

Tipping fraud among seniors!!! My old parents went there for pizza. Food & service were good. My father, 84 years old, paid by card. The display on the card reader was not readable and the waiter only announced the price of the food. Later he brought the receipt, which showed a tip of €4.70!!! Outstanding audacity, he still has it before that Receive a €3 tip in cash. At least now it wasn't a mistake.

I always enjoy going to L'Osteria, although this time we were unfortunately forgotten with our food when we were there with a couple of friends, but they apologized and a small dessert made everything right again

We were eating here today, or wanted to... the reception was nice and orderly, a short wait until a table was free was fine, in the meantime we were able to look at the menu and knew what we were ordering. Then go to the table and place drinks, starters and 1 pizza and 1 pasta straight away, so it wasn't a big order, it wasn't particularly full either, we had already been there several times, so we knew it was a bit slow here. (e.g. Losteria Hagen, here I receive my order with 4 people within 20 minutes if the store is full (4 pizzas). After 45 minutes of waiting, I just wanted to pay and leave. After I asked for the bill, the food was brought to me 5 minutes later, but I let it go back. How can it be that they talk to me again about what I had and then make me wait another 10 minutes. But what I particularly didn't care about is that new guests come in and then have their food within 15 minutes, that's not possible. And pasta doesn't take 50 minutes... that's why they tell us Maybe point out when ordering that it takes longer today if you order a starter and noodles -> sarcasm out. I will avoid the one in Bochum and can't recommend it. If you read the answers here on Google from Losteria, I don't assume that it will improve in terms of the waiting time until the food is on the table (completely understanding if the Budde would be full) but not today. The food was great as always. Even though the store was packed, the staff was nice and friendly. This is....unfortunately....not a given, but it is fully lived here.

Die Pizza ist riesig groß, schmeckt aber nur so la la. Ich hatte meine Pizza extra etwas länger gebacken bestellt. Sah letztendlich genau so hell wie jede andere auch aus. Hier ist wohl nur die Größe der Pizza entscheidend und nicht der Geschmack und Genuss. Ansonsten ist es in den Räumlichkeiten sehr laut und hallig.

The restaurant is very inviting, great atmosphere. We ate here as a family with 2 children. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for our food, which I found to be a shame that the children's food was brought to the table after the food had been served by us adults. What I think is positive is that the children were given pencils and were allowed to paint while they waited. There is also a children's playground outside the Losteria where they can let off steam afterwards. What I find negative is that the toilets here are unfortunately very unhygienic and dirty. Nevertheless, it was very pleasant to eat in this restaurant with children. We really enjoyed the food.

I didn't like the pizza at all. So I couldn't eat it all. The tuna was substandard. The pizza was overflowing with red wobbly onions. After eating I had a strange aftertaste in my mouth. The service did its job, but was unsympathetic. I won't go there again.

I'm by no means a typical complainer who complains about every little thing. But after our visit to L'Osteria today, I feel compelled to give this review. The store was almost completely full on Saturday evening and it was therefore very busy. The waitresses and waiters did a great job and were very friendly. My pizza was really tasty. Unfortunately, my companion discovered that the middle of her lasagna was not only cold, but also frozen. The waitress apologized and brought a new one a little later. This lasagne was also completely frozen in the middle. And no, I'm not exaggerating. When I cut through it with a knife, the lasagne sounded and felt like ice cream from the freezer. After this second misery, both of us were no longer hungry and we just wanted to leave. Then another employee who obviously had something to say came to our table. To compensate for having to have frozen minced meat in our mouths, we were offered a coffee, which we politely declined. When we left the restaurant, we spoke briefly to the lady who greets the guests in the entrance area. I briefly described our more than disappointing experience to her. But I felt pretty stupid. It seemed as if she was rattling off some kind of script on how to deal with dissatisfied guests. She commented that the inside of the lasagna was mostly frozen twice in a row: "We can't look inside." With all due respect, I would have been able to do this better as a hobby chef with two left hands. Even elementary school children can keep a cooled/frozen lasagne in the open until it is completely hot and ready. However, despite this truly shameful experience, I would never have left a 1-star review. If only we had at least been taken seriously. "We're really sorry, something like this shouldn't happen. Your drinks and pizza are on the house." Or: “Here’s a voucher for €15 for you.” Then everything would have been okay and I would have even given it 5 stars. "Well, we just can't look into the lasagna." Yes, it's not bad. Next time just bring us some cream to the table and we'll turn the main course into spaghetti ice cream.

Very good food and a really nice atmosphere

Exceptionally attentive and friendly service, very tasty food and extensive drinks menu.

We have had several very bad experiences with the service/staff at this L'Osteria (see details below). The food per sé is typical L'Osteria, there's nothing wrong with that. However, due to the service, I strongly recommend switching to the branches in Bo-Mitte or Herne. In detail: When we last ordered for pickup, we were promised a preparation time of 15 minutes. 20 minutes later we arrived at the restaurant and when we asked we were told that it would take a few minutes to prepare. We ended up sitting there waiting for 25 more minutes. So more than twice as long as the originally estimated preparation time. It was obvious that preparation had only begun after we arrived. We were then told (rather unfriendly) that there was a large group and that the process would be delayed. (Except for this, the restaurant was very sparsely attended.) That's fine, but then I need to be given a better estimated time on the phone. As it turned out later in further conversation, this large group had appeared spontaneously without a reservation and therefore my order (which came first) should have been processed beforehand. This is outrageously bad customer service. We were not offered any drinks or other amenities during the entire wait. We were even left sitting there without any information and always had to ask ourselves what the current status was. There was also no discount. When we finally took the order, it turned out that “pizza rolls and cheese” had been billed and issued instead of the “pizza pane” we had ordered. I didn't criticize it anymore because I didn't want to wait any longer. At home, however, it turned out that they weren't even cheese pizza rolls, but rather normal, dry pizza rolls. This is unacceptable and I have demanded a refund from the company. As mentioned above, we encountered unacceptably poor service at this restaurant two other times: Both of these times we ate locally. At the first one we waited for over an hour and a half for our food and had to ask several times when it would finally arrive. We were very unkindly informed that it was known that at peak times you would have to expect waiting times of one and a half to two hours (I don't know that from any other L'Osteria?!). The other time, starters and main courses came to the table at the same time (even though they were expressly ordered as starters). The waitress then became even more unfriendly and confrontational and refused to serve the main courses later and at an appropriate distance. I will no longer visit this restaurant and will switch to the L'Osterien in Bochum-Mitte and Herne.

Wir haben in dieser L'Osteria bereits mehrfach sehr schlechte Erfahrungen mit dem Service/Personal gemacht (Details siehe unten). Das Essen per sé ist typisch L'Osteria, daran gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Aufgrund des Service rate ich jedoch sehr dazu, entweder auf die Filialen in Bo-Mitte oder Herne auszuweichen. Im Detail: Bei der letzten Bestellung zum Abholen wurde uns eine Zubereitungszeit von 15 min zugesagt. 20 min später kamen wir im Restaurant an und auf Nachfrage wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Zubereitung noch ein paar Minuten dauern würde. Letztendlich saßen wir 25 weitere Minuten wartend dort. Also mehr als doppelt so lange wie die ursprünglich veranschlagte Zubereitungszeit. Es war offensichtlich, dass mit der Zubereitung erst nach unserem Eintreffen begonnen worden war. Uns wurde dann (eher unfreundlich) gesagt, dass eben eine große Gruppe da sei und sich der Ablauf verzögere. (Außer dieser war das Lokal sehr spärlich besucht.) Das ist in Ordnung, aber dann muss mir am Telefon eine besser geschätzte Zeit mitgeteilt werden. Wie sich aber hinterher im weiteren Gespräch herausstellte, war diese große Gruppe spontan ohne Reservierung erschienen und somit hätte meine Bestellung (die zuerst einging) auch vorher bearbeitet werden müssen. Das ist ein unerhört schlechter Kundenservice. Während der gesamten Wartezeit wurde uns auch keine Getränke oder andere Annehmlichkeiten angeboten. Wir wurden sogar ohne Informationen dort sitzen gelassen und mussten stets selber nachfragen, wie denn nun der aktuelle Stand sei. Einen Preisnachlass gab es ebenfalls nicht. Als wir die Bestellung endlich entgegen genommen hatten, stellte sich noch heraus, dass „Pizzabrötchen Käse“ statt der bestellten „Pizza Pane“ abgerechnet und ausgegeben worden waren. Das habe ich nicht mehr kritisiert, weil ich nicht noch länger warten wollte. Zuhause stellte sich jedoch zusätzlich noch heraus, dass es sich nicht einmal um Pizzabrötchen Käse, sondern um ganz normale, trockene Pizzabrötchen handelte. Das ist nicht hinnehmbar und ich habe bei dem Unternehmen eine Rückzahlung eingefordert. Wie oben erwähnt, waren wir in diesem Restaurant noch zwei weitere Male mit unannehmbar schlechtem Service konfrontiert: Diese beiden Male aßen wir vor Ort. Beim ersten warteten wir über anderthalb Stunden lang auf unser Essen und mussten mehrfach nachfragen, wann es endlich kommen würde. Uns wurde sehr unfreundlich mitgeteilt, dass es bekannt sei, dass man zu Stoßzeiten mal mit Wartezeiten von anderthalb bis 2 Stunden rechnen müsse (das kenne ich aus keiner anderen L'Osteria?!). Beim anderen Mal kamen Vor- und Hauptspeisen zeitgleich an den Tisch (obwohl ausdrücklich als Vorspeisen bestellt). Die Bedienung wurde dann sogar noch unfreundlich sowie konfrontativ und weigerte sich, die Hauptspeisen später und neu angefertigt in einem angemessenen Abstand zu servieren. Ich werde dieses Restaurant nicht mehr aufsuchen und auf die L'Osterien in Bochum-Mitte und Herne ausweichen.

An einem Sonntag offenbar nicht voll besetzt, doch sehr laut. Die bestellte Lassgne entpuppte sich als "Kinderportion" und war im Inneren kalt. Die alternativ bestellte Pizza dauerte dann 20 Min. Der Kellner war allerdings freundlich.

Very large pizzas and other good Italian food can be found in this modern restaurant on the edge of the Ruhrpark in Bochum. The food is served in very large portions. The pizzas in particular are larger than any other restaurant. The price-performance ratio is very good. The restaurant is modernly furnished. However, it is often quite crowded. Despite the size and busyness, the service is very courteous and the waiting times are not particularly long. Overall, the restaurant is definitely recommended.

Welcome, ordering, time to serve was very good. After clearing away, no one came from the waiter and no follow-up order was possible for almost 30 minutes. We then had to request someone to checkout. The ending wasn't good.

We wanted to end this beautiful sunny Saturday with a visit to Losteria Bochum. Unfortunately, we were neither noticed nor was the order in which new guests were placed taken into account, so after a long wait we simply got up and left. Staff did not appear to be sufficiently trained and not adequately organized. Really a shame.

Waiting over 1 hour for food, a no-go with 2 children. Unfortunately, the service cannot be assessed as anything other than expandable, with too little efficiency in the processes. Maybe a better distribution of work and tasks will help: 1-2 ushers 5-8 waiters, each with a fixed area 2-3 just dish clearing and table preparation However, friendliness is always given👍 Food was super tasty as usual!

We have been there several times and received inadequate service. The first two times they forgot to serve us our food and yesterday we only ordered something to drink and that took and took. Where the shop (restaurant) was very little attended. I only know one thing. I will avoid the restaurant in the future.

On August 24th, 2024 we were at L'Osteria Bochum. There are enough parking spaces there as the restaurant is located in a separate building right next to the Ruhrpark in Bochum. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by a waitress and escorted to our table. When we arrived at the table, a waiter gave us the menus and we were able to choose what we wanted to eat and drink. After a short wait, our pizzas and drinks came to the table. (Since the pizzas are very large, you can also order a large pizza for two and each person can choose a half of their choice). The pizzas were great and the wait staff were super accommodating and friendly. I would recommend L'Osteria in Bochum again and again.

The pizza was very tasty, we took a pizza with two toppings. Suitable for families with children, there is a playground to the right. If you go up the stairs you will find the toilet. The staff is very friendly and quick. A recommendation from me.

we were really amazed at how big the pizzas were. We didn't expect that and accordingly ordered 2 whole pizzas. Reasonably priced and tasted good too 👍🏻. Unfortunately we had to get up at some point because this location has a problem with blowflies and wasps (blowflies are the bigger problem here because it's just disgusting when they land on the food) so we ended up having the food thrown away because there were too many flies on it landed. Maybe next time we'll just eat there.

The food is very good. Very large pizza. When it comes to pasta, the portions are sometimes more and sometimes less. 08/31/24. Today spagetti with spinach cream sauce as well as 2 half pizzas. The spaghetti first without sauce. Went back. Second attempt, no real sauce, just warmed cream. Not good at all. The pizza, however, was very good as always. Salami and once with crabs. Cappuccino to compensate for the spaghetti.

Tastes are different. Not to my taste. Had a pizza, lots of dough, little toppings with something like pureed tomatoes.

The restaurant is located directly at the magnificent Ruhrpark. After a great shopping experience, you can find the best conclusion here.

The location is very nice. You can comfortably stop here before or after an extensive shopping tour. The service has improved over time. You are noticed more and asked more often if you would like to order something else. It gets very crowded here from around 5:30 p.m. You have to like it when the tables are a little closer together and you can possibly comment on the conversations at the neighboring table. I find the changing monthly pass very appealing. If you wish, you can have half the toppings on a pizza or you can just order one pizza for two and each person chooses and gets half. Gladly again.

Overall it was a very good visit and even though it was a Saturday evening we still got a table without a reservation. The pizzas were hot and really tasty. The only thing I found a bit confusing was that they weren't cut. Personally, I didn't think it was a bad thing if you had to go and cut it yourself. The service was also super nice and asked again if we wanted something to drink. Nice atmosphere, nice lighting and you really felt comfortable. Keep it up, you're doing a great job!

The restaurant impresses with a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly team. The pizza tasted good, but unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes for it. The slow service could be due to a lack of staff. Overall, the visit was still pleasant.

Very nice restaurant and very friendly staff. It was very comfortable on the terrace and there is a great playground for the children.

Our first visit to the branch in Ruhrpark and unfortunately not as convincing as other locations. Even though the place wasn't fully booked, it took a good 45 minutes for us (4 people) to have our food, with one dish being forgotten and served 10 minutes after the others. No comment on what bothered us the most. You can always overlook or forget something, but then adding the food later even though it was clearly forgotten (the waiter came by, widened his eyes and quickly ran away again) is unprofessional. As in the other branches, the quality of the food was good and the portions were plentiful.

Mega, huge old industrial hall, wonderful seating in the shade, they have a lot of outdoor space, great food and great service, absolutely recommended, definitely go if you are nearby.

Very attentive staff and food in the usual L’osteria quality. I always enjoy coming back. The food: The food was just as you would expect from L’osteria. Tasty (and large) pizza at good value for money. The atmosphere: The staff was really very attentive. I was stung by a wasp during my visit. An employee (I suspect even the manager) came up to me straight away, asked how I was feeling and offered me ice cream to cool down. At a later date, another employee filled up my makeshift ice pack with ice again. I would like to thank you again for this. And beyond that: all the employees were extremely nice and accommodating. I was very satisfied with the food and service. What is particularly noteworthy in my opinion is the playground right next to the outdoor area. This way, the family can go out for a leisurely meal after a shopping trip and the children can run around if necessary.

We had eaten at L'Osteria several times. But unfortunately the visit turned out to be a failure. The pizza had a hole, we would have gotten a new pizza. But we didn't think it was that bad. My spaghetti aglio e olio was floating in water. Unfortunately I discovered it too late. The salad was very tasty, the dressing was perfect. Otherwise we were always very satisfied. Not this time.

I've eaten in many L'Osterias but Bochum is the best in terms of taste. The service is also top, here Bochum is right up there with Wuppertal.

The good first. The staff was exceptionally friendly. There was a lot going on, but the staff seemed very competent and incredibly nice. When the starter (bruscetta) came, we were delighted. Looked great and was delicious too. We ordered pizza. When this came, I was a little dissatisfied. It looked very dark and sparsely stocked. But I figured the main focus is on the taste. What can I say? The ingredients were just slapped on, the pizza was burnt, dry and tasteless. It's a shame that the food can't keep up with the staff.

I was with you on a Saturday with my wife and child and I have to say that I will not be coming back. My wife ordered pasta and I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. I waited a whole hour for the pizza - an hour, just imagine! A group of women who had ordered before us also felt the same way. That just wasn't normal. Not even the waiter thought to apologize for the long wait. Instead, after about 40 minutes I had to ask myself where the food was. The drinks were no longer cold. The disappointment was also the pizza: extremely thin, even burned through in one place, leaving a hole as if it had been caused by a cigarette. In the end, €40 was gone and we were still hungry. My request not to put so many onions on the pizza was apparently ignored; the onion pieces were larger than the chicken strips. In addition, the staff seemed to be very overwhelmed, as the waiters also had to take orders from a “head waiter”. It was interesting to see how annoyed they were about this. It was also very loud in the restaurant.

I have been there more often in the past, the last three times I and my companion were treated extremely unfriendly by an employee (always the same). When she asked us about the food and we asked for a little more time, she rolled her eyes. She also looked at us strangely when we both ordered our own pizza. When we wanted to have it packed at the end, she said, “Oh, it was too big.” The money is thrown on the table and even a goodbye is ignored. I find something like that to be extremely disrespectful and will be unpleasantly remembered! Conclusion: I used to go there at least twice a month. Not anymore👎

The food is far from fair to the price. The noodles were swimming in oil and everything was “slapped” onto the plate very carelessly. The toilets probably weren't cleaned that day. The staff was very nice and accommodating! However, I wouldn't come back for the time being

I recently ate at this pizza shop and absolutely loved it! The service, especially Önder and Birkan, were very friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was cozy. The pizza was simply delicious – the dough was just the right amount of crispy and the toppings were fresh and rich. I particularly liked the combination of fresh basil and melting mozzarella. I can only recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a really good pizza. Thank you for the great experience!

Coincidentally, I ate here while loading the car. We don't regret it for a second. Food was super tasty, carbonara and pizza. Pizza was huge, never seen such a large pizza before. Very nice interior, friendly staff, the adjacent large, beautiful playground is interesting for children. Too bad it's not closer to home, we would come here regularly.

Absolutely no recommendation! I can't comment on the food because unfortunately it didn't come to that at all. I wanted to sit outside in the shade near the playground with my little daughter. It wasn't crowded and there were plenty of free tables. According to the first waitress, we should choose something. But we weren't allowed to occupy the spot we had chosen because there were four or five chairs there. It would only be for “larger groups”. The young, friendly lady would have been happy to give us the space, but had to consult with her “boss”. He then came up to us and told us in broken German and in a very rude manner that we were not allowed to sit there and that we could sit in there. The place was free, not reserved and there were enough alternatives for the larger groups mentioned that might come as guests on a Thursday afternoon. I would have liked to leave my money there and we were very hungry, but obviously this place is a bit strange. That was our first and last visit, which wasn't even a visit. A pity!!

Typical L'Osteria. The food was delicious and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. We had the food on the table less than 10 minutes after ordering. Given that the restaurant was almost completely full, I found it impressively quick. Unfortunately, the number of people in combination with the high concrete ceiling contributes to a very high basic noise level. That is the only point of criticism.
