L'Osteria Bochum in Bochum

The food is incredibly delicious. The pizzas are large, but have a very thin crust. The location is great, but due to the building's height and the lack of partitions, it's very noisy. However, this might be because we ate there on a Friday evening.

Friendliness and courtesy, an environment where you feel at home... Great service, good food, I recommend it to everyone.

The food was okay. One appetizer arrived before the main course, the other came with the meal. The staff seemed very stressed. We were there on Saturday at lunchtime. It was busy but not completely full.

The pizzas tasted good. However, we waited almost 20 minutes for our drinks, and that was only compounded by the long wait for the food. We ordered at 4:15 pm, and after an hour we politely inquired about it, so the food finally arrived after 75 minutes. This is unacceptable for me, especially for two pizzas without any special requests. I've experienced much better service at other locations. I wouldn't go back.

Today, our group of four ate at L’Osteria in the Ruhrpark shopping center in Bochum. Unfortunately, the visit was rather disappointing overall. The restaurant was very noisy, the music much too loud – conversation at the table was nearly impossible. Our waiter seemed quite distracted and disorganized, and was neither particularly attentive nor friendly. The food was okay, tasty, but nothing special. Overall, the atmosphere and the service unfortunately spoiled the evening. We've decided: we won't be coming back.

We arrived at 9:30 PM, but unfortunately it was already closed. Takeout wasn't possible either, as we were told the kitchen had already been cleaned. According to the website, it's open until 11:00 PM.

We're actually here quite often, but I have to say the staff seems overwhelmed with all the work. There's no structure at all, neither in the service nor behind the bar for drinks. And what really bothered us was that the waitress (female) was distributing the salad between pizzas WITHOUT GLOVES, and we weren't the only ones who noticed. The tables are only moderately cleaned; there are many small things that could be improved.

The food was very good and the portions were very large. We had tuna pizza, spaghetti carbonara, gnocchi, and pasta with seafood, along with a small mixed salad. The price was reasonable for these portions. The restaurant was a bit noisy. We could still have a conversation, but the noise level was quite high. We especially commend the waiters, who were very polite and attentive. There were no long waits. We will be back again this evening.

The reservation, service, and food were simply top-notch. I'll definitely be back! 😃 No question.

I only want to review the service, as the food is usually very tasty. I accidentally ordered a pizza for pickup from the wrong location. I actually wanted to pick up a pizza downtown, not at Ruhrpark. I called about 20 times 40 minutes before pickup, and again afterward. Unfortunately, there was no response, nor did I reply to my emails. Even 50 minutes after the scheduled pickup, there was still no response. They didn't even bother to ask where I was. Apparently, they don't care about the customer; I've already paid, so it's their problem!

The food was excellent, very well seasoned, we'll definitely be back. The seafood pasta was perfect.

We had a really lovely evening at L’Osteria. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The drinks and food arrived quickly even though the place was packed.

I had Gambaretti and they were absolutely amazing in comparison. Kian served us, I can highly recommend him. Definitely five stars! 👍🏽

L'Osteria in Bochum once again confirms the well-known saying "If you've seen one, you've seen them all"—in the best possible way. As always, the restaurant presents itself as a very family-friendly place. We enjoy coming here with the whole family for a meal, and the children love it. The quality is consistently high: The food is, as always, delicious, and the dishes offer the expected Italian culinary delight. A major advantage of the location is the convenient parking. Located in the Ruhrpark shopping center, there are plenty of parking spaces. For electric car drivers, the location offers a special bonus: It's very close to the charging stations, which makes charging time much more efficient. L'Osteria Bochum is therefore a perfect, uncomplicated meeting place for families and lovers of Italian cuisine.

As with any L'osteria, good food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Always happy to return.

We were at L' Osteria Bochum on October 18, 2025, from approximately 2:40 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. Since it was too loud inside, we sat on the terrace at table 507. Had we known how long our stay would be, we certainly would have changed our minds and not come at all. We were able to order our drinks relatively quickly, and they arrived after a reasonable 20 minutes. Around 3 p.m., we ordered our food: chicken salad and pizza. After being ignored by the waiter 35 minutes after ordering our food (I raised my hand several times), and our drinks had been empty for 15 minutes, I approached a service employee at his service desk by the main entrance. I pointed out the long wait for the food, especially because guests inside who had entered after us had already received their pizzas. I also mentioned that we hadn't had any drinks for at least 15 minutes, despite the long wait. I announced that if the food wasn't delivered within the next 5 minutes, we would leave. At this point, we had already been in the restaurant for 55 minutes. After an incredible 10 minutes, the salad was brought and a drink order was taken. There was no sign of the pizza anywhere. It was then brought another 10 minutes later, 55 minutes after the order, or 1 1/4 hours into the restaurant. That it wasn't served as ordered (garlic was missing) didn't surprise me anymore. When we got the bill, we expressed our displeasure to the server and asked to speak to the shift manager. He didn't come. Why weren't we surprised?! After 100 minutes, we left the restaurant. For a pizza and a salad. Unbelievable. Just to be clear: If, for whatever reason, there are long wait times in restaurants, guests should be informed in advance. This way, each customer can decide for themselves whether to accept them. Of course, we had no information! Our experience means we won't be back!

Delicious, large pizza at a good price. The staff is friendly and attentive. Leftovers are easy to take away. However, at peak times, it gets quite noisy due to the crowds.

The five of us spontaneously decided on this place, having just arrived. The place was packed, but the waitress still found a table for us. The food—pizza and various pasta dishes—was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the noise level was extremely loud.

A very long wait for the food. At first the service was fast, but once you've gotten something, you no longer see the service. Even the server who goes to the neighboring tables doesn't notice that there are empty glasses on your table and that you might not want to order something. The food was so-so. A completely oversized pizza with definitely not much topping. I almost couldn't remember whether I'd ordered a ham pizza or a Margherita. The only positive thing was that the second waitress was very interested in what wasn't so good. And she was sorry that it wasn't so good for us. We won't be back.

You ordered food and had to wait over two hours. The pasta was cold, and the pizza rolls didn't come with dips, even though you paid extra for them. Considering the price, it's very disappointing. You call L'Osteria, and they tell you, "Sorry, you'll have to contact Lieferando." Sad.

We went there for the first time today. The service staff was very friendly. The prices are reasonable. It took well over half an hour for the food to be served. Some bread with dip would have been appropriate. The pizza was huge and tasted good. The pasta was also delicious, but almost cold by the time it arrived at the table. Furthermore, the pasta portion was much too small compared to the pizza and therefore not filling. The ambiance is nicely decorated, but much too loud, making it an ill-tempered atmosphere for dining. The waiter was barely audible due to the volume, and he constantly had to bend down to hear us and the other guests to understand what we were saying. Unfortunately, we weren't asked whether we enjoyed the food, or whether we wanted dessert or a drink. We asked ourselves about the dessert menu, but unfortunately, there was nothing compelling on the menu. Overall, the visit was okay. However, due to the noise, I wouldn't go back.

It's definitely too loud in Losteria; the music overpowers everything, making any conversation impossible. Then we had a terrible waiter who more or less wanted us to get our own drinks. He then brought us the wrong dessert and couldn't manage to take our card payment. He also preferred talking to a few acquaintances rather than taking our money. He was also rude. The dessert was a disaster: the panna cotta tasted like nothing, and the lemon sorbet was just a cheap paper cup with rock-hard ice cream. Inedible. I will definitely not go here again! Simply a disaster. Too loud, too bad service, and poor quality.

You should reserve a table then the waiting time is not so long and you are usually brought directly to your table. I only waited 10 minutes at the most.

Not a pleasant visit. You're usually greeted at the entrance and shown to your seat – but here, all guests were left at the bar without any information to please wait a moment. You wait at least an hour for your food – with the excuse that the place is full. I think a lack of staff is more likely the case here. When we finally wanted to cancel our order, they started arguing with us. After a few minutes, the cancellation was accepted – which clearly shows that even after more than an hour, they hadn't even started preparing our food. Our visit was a complete disaster – long waits, unfriendly treatment, and no customer or service orientation at all. Unfortunately, I absolutely do not recommend it.

Everything always tastes very good. For my taste, the pasta portions are sometimes too small, or the pizza toppings are too light. The seating isn't very comfortable, and the sound is way too loud.

A dish from my order was completely missing from the delivery, and I haven't been able to reach anyone by phone for an hour to resolve the issue. We're very upset and are asking for a solution because the dish has already been paid for. Since we thought someone would be reached quickly, the other dish also went cold in the meantime. Three of us were guests at "La Osteria" here in Bochum. The food was delicious, but the preparation time, over an hour, was too long. The server was a bit overwhelmed. Overall, still worth a visit!

After we asked for the bill, they cleared the table first, even though they had previously stated that they were unhappy with the wait, including for drinks. Overall, we're very happy with L'osteria (mostly visiting Marl), but the team in Bochum seems a bit overwhelmed.

We were in Ruhr Park last Saturday and after shopping we went to L'Osteria. We got a table without any problems (no waiting time). The staff and the atmosphere are very good. But what is really unacceptable is the wait for the food. We waited an hour for the food. The tables around us were all already finished and had ordered much later than us. We had a pizza and 3 pasta dishes. So nothing earth-shattering. After we pointed this out to the waiter, he looked at his phone and said... Yes, that's right, you've been waiting for 57 minutes. I'll take care of it. Well, after another 15 minutes the food finally arrived.

The food was mediocre. The glow of the Ferris wheel spoiled the experience.

Why it takes an hour to get your pizza to your table is beyond me. And why four pizzas can't be served at the same time is also beyond me. After all, you want to eat together when you go out.

Unfortunately, it's not child-friendly, at least if you're traveling with a stroller. First, we had to change seats twice to get somewhere without "disturbing" anyone. When we asked if we could sit in a quieter area, as we were sitting in the middle of the aisle and it was louder than in the conservatory, we were told it wasn't possible because a seat would be lost...the place was only half full, so it was probably a matter of principle. Furthermore, the pumpkin wasn't fully cooked when we ate it, and there were walnut shells in the salad...just be careful when chewing, I'd say.

This was definitely our last visit there. We're usually L'Osteria fans, but this was truly a disaster. After taking our order, our waitress consistently ignored us. The food took almost an hour. No one even asked if we wanted another drink. Not to mention that waiting around with a toddler is a no-go anyway. Someone else brought the food, and someone else also paid for it. When ordering, I mentioned the Dolce Vita free drink promotion, but I was charged for the drink. I had my loyalty card scanned when ordering, but points weren't credited. The atmosphere was loud and uncomfortable, with a cafeteria feel. There are much better restaurants in the chain.

A Sunday visit results in a slightly longer wait for food. It's nice that you can easily dine with a group. The tables are a bit too high for shorter adults. Otherwise, everything tasted delicious, and no one had any complaints.

We had to wait a long time for someone to come and take our order. Then we waited exactly 45 minutes for a half-warm pizza. The staff was friendly, but seemingly overwhelmed.

With all the love for L'Osteria, that's too long, especially with a child. It's a shame there wasn't another solution.

We spontaneously decided to have dinner at L'Osteria on Saturday evening. There were no appointments available online, so we asked on site and immediately got a table for three. It was packed, and the warning about the long wait for food didn't scare us. We were served immediately. Our waiter, Ardil, provided us with drinks beforehand and took our food orders. Ardil kept asking if anything was left, whether everything was okay, and so the time until the food arrived felt like it passed more quickly. Ardil was completely in control of everything in his area: nice, friendly, approachable, and helpful... even an additional takeaway pizza we ordered was ready right on time for payment. It was a good decision to stop by and ask for a table. The food was delicious, everyone was full, and our waiter, Ardil, took care of all his guests despite the packed restaurant and the occasional stress. THANK YOU ARDIL *****
