I didn't like the dessert and the general atmosphere of the place. The impressions were negative. I would like to be able to leave an honest review, but unfortunately, the place doesn't seem to accept criticism.

I am giving this review based on my personal and objective experience, with the aim of helping the place to behave.

Super delicious brunch with a wide selection! The staff is very friendly, and we can't understand the negative reviews at all. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

I was shocked at the scene I saw here today. I participated at an art workshop in this Café and after it was over the owner started to scream at the woman that hosted the workshop for no obvious reason in front of us, the guests sitting at the table!!! The workshop was great, but the Café owner very unprofessional and rude!!!

I've been going to Café Sidney regularly for over a year now, and I'm always impressed! The team is always warm, friendly, and always has a smile on their faces, from the manager to the staff. Every Sunday there's a fantastic breakfast and brunch buffet, delicious fish on Fridays, and superb schnitzel on Tuesdays and Sundays. The food is always fresh and tastes really good. I've also celebrated my husband's and children's birthdays there; everything was perfectly organized and made with great care. You just feel at home there. I've been going to Sidney for decades. Today will certainly be the last time! After I arrived, no one showed up to take my order for the first 15 minutes. When I politely asked if I could order something, all I got were silly comments...

Affordable business lunch, with a variety of dishes available. You can sit outside at tables – although it was still a bit too cold for me at the end of March (even though the sun was shining). Inside, you can watch sports broadcasts on a large screen via projector. Friendly service; overall, highly recommended.

I go a few times a week ☺️ and when I go, I have to walk 20k steps just to be able to button my pants 😅 Definitely try their Sunday brunch. Of course, I won't list my favorite dish here, otherwise it will be gone by the time I get back ☺️ Everything is great in my opinion. I live in the neighborhood. With so many restaurants around, it's easy to overlook the individual. We happened to be at Cafe Sidney and ordered the legendary Wiener Schnitzel. One of the best I've ever eaten. Every friend I've brought over since then has been enthusiastic about the schnitzel. An unassuming mega-insider tip! We'd go back anytime!

We had made reservations in advance and said we were coming with a stroller. The first thing was that we had to sit outside, even though it wasn't mentioned. Our table neighbors had the same problem. I think that's worth mentioning when the café itself is fully booked. The breakfast brunch was actually quite okay. And to finish off, we wanted to have some cake, but unfortunately, it was covered in mold. When we asked them to please take the cake from the buffet, they just said "OK..." I found that a bit rude. So, it was a disappointment for us.

I was visiting Berlin, and my hotel recommended this place to me... To my dismay... The restaurant manager is loud and yells at his employees, making you feel like you're sitting in a slave facility... The food is moderately good, the workers are reasonably friendly, but with a manager like that, it's not surprising that they're exhausted and not in the best of spirits... As for hygiene, there are cockroaches crawling across the tables.

I had found this cafe online as a recommendation for brunch, and the pictures looked really good. When we got there and got our table, we wanted to sit somewhere else where it might be quieter to chat... but we weren't allowed to. The buffet looked really good and plentiful. We started eating, and when my friend got the chocolate cake, I immediately told her to put it away... the whole bottom was moldy. We told the staff, but there was no reaction, and they didn't take it away from the buffet either... Then my friend wanted a fresh orange juice, and they said they were still open for another hour and they were out. That's a real shame and can unfortunately ruin the reputation and the good mood. When the waitress came and cleared the plates, and I still had a little left on my plate because I was full, she made a stupid comment and gave us a stupid look, and that was the end of it for all of us. So, unfortunately, not a good place for us... The staff was unfriendly... The food selection was good, but it's useless when it's moldy and too crowded and crowded for a pleasant conversation. What a pity.

We went there for brunch today for the first and last time. First of all, ALL drinks cost extra, which I hadn't experienced before; coffee and tea were always included in the price. Not here, though. Okay, everyone can decide for themselves. My wife also got a piece of chocolate cake, and when we got to our table, we noticed that it was moldy. We reported this to the waitress, who quietly removed the moldy piece from the table. Our request to please check the cake and remove it from the table was ignored. It remained there at the buffet the whole time, unchanged 👎. As for the ambiance, all I can say is, it's pretty cramped, but that's a matter of taste. The waitress also seemed annoyed or stressed 🤔 The restrooms could use a thorough cleaning.

I could eat here every day, it's like home. We've come here often since the first time and we keep coming back. The first time: We had something to celebrate and I fancied a fillet steak! We thought about it for a long time and then went to the Sidney and it was a good decision! A 200g fillet, which was a good 300g, great sides, delicious sauce. The mixed grill plate was also perfect. Even the salad dressing was tasty. The service was super friendly and the owner really charming. We will be back, even though there really is an incredible amount of choice in our area. I also recommend the Sunday brunch! Simply perfect and super tasty!!! I would also like to add that it was also ordered and delivered - simply perfect!

Disappointing visit despite a great brunch buffet and a lovely event I recently had brunch with you. The buffet was lavish, with plenty of choice, and most of it tasted really delicious. Unfortunately, the visit was somewhat marred by an unpleasant experience: The chocolate cake I had at the end was obviously moldy. Things like that can happen, of course, but what really annoyed me was the way it was handled. When I addressed the matter in a friendly and matter-of-fact manner, my complaint was immediately dismissed. They accused me of having "made a mistake," which was truly inappropriate given the clearly visible mold. An apology? There was no apology. Instead, the situation was simply ignored—and that's honestly very disappointing as a guest. I find it even more discouraging how disrespectful and unprofessional negative Google reviews are responded to. Criticism is part of everyday life, but the way you handle feedback seems unwelcoming and rather off-putting. I simply wish that a small mistake would be dealt with openly, honestly, and respectfully—especially when so much potential and effort lies behind the concept. Best regards

Disappointing experience. Tables and chairs covered in dust. They hadn't even wiped the table beforehand. You'd almost think it was a shed. Not recommended.

A small side salad with the dishes wouldn't be bad. But it's nice to sit there.

Respektloses Verhalten, nur weil ich kein Fleisch esse. Buffet war für mich ungeeignet. Inhaber sprach mit mir, als wäre ich 5 Jahre alte. Brokkoli und Reis soll ein vegetarisches Gericht sein. Sowas ist eine Beilge. Wir sind gegangen. Hatte dort früher geseist und die Qualität war extrem gut von der Karte.

Disrespectful behavior just because I don't eat meat. Buffet was unsuitable for me. Owner spoke to me like I was 5 years old. Broccoli and rice is supposed to be a vegetarian dish. Something like that is a supplement. We left. Had been there before and the quality of the menu was extremely good.

HAHAHAHAHA that's probably a bad joke. You put the schnitzel on top of the fries in an aluminum packaging 😂😂 who are you kidding? You're saving at the wrong end, but your schnitzel doesn't taste all that bad. But you also have to work on the apple strudel recipe. It's a 6.5/10 -.- oh well. Good luck with your business 🤓

We went to this restaurant to have a leisurely breakfast, but unfortunately our visit was anything but pleasant. We had to wait over an hour for five simple breakfast plates. After asking politely and pointing out that we would leave if the food wasn't served within five minutes, we were spoken to in a rude manner by the waitress. She said in an inappropriate tone, “Don’t threaten me.” There was no apology and we felt neither welcome nor respected. The overall service was disappointing and the lack of customer focus completely ruined the visit. It's a shame, because the ambience of the restaurant is actually appealing. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it if you value good service.

Nachdem wir höflich nachgefragt und darauf hingewiesen haben, dass wir gehen würden, wenn das Essen nicht innerhalb von fünf Minuten serviert wird, wurden wir von der Kellnerin auf unhöfliche Weise angesprochen. Sie sagte in einem unangemessenen Tonfall: “Bedrohen Sie mich nicht.” Eine Entschuldigung blieb aus, und wir fühlten uns weder willkommen noch respektiert. Der Service war insgesamt enttäuschend, und die fehlende Kundenorientierung hat den Besuch komplett ruiniert. Schade, denn das Ambiente des Restaurants ist eigentlich ansprechend. Leider können wir es nicht empfehlen, wenn man Wert auf guten Service legt.

The smell of rotten eggs hits you as soon as you enter. Cables are coming out of the walls everywhere, the beer is warm, the tables are sticky. In our presence, the owner insulted a guest as a “cunt”. I will report this store to the health department. Disgusting.

Delicious Sunday brunch, nice and friendly service

The burger (Great Britain) was great. What bothered me: You can order fries (conventional or sweet potato) or wedges as a side dish. Charged extra and the portion of this side dish was so outrageous and overly large that you regret the order the moment it was served. More than half have been returned. What a waste. The tables in the outdoor area are placed next to each other with little space between them along the building facade. Ashtrays were placed on all tables, meaning smokers and non-smokers inevitably sit close to each other. I found the cigarette smoke from a gentleman at one of the neighboring tables extremely disturbing.

Wir waren dort Brunchen. Wir dachten uns für 14,90€ all u can eat, da kann man am Endspiel Wochenende nichts falsch machen! Leider kurz nach dem verlassen des Cafés, wurde uns schlecht. Einer von hat sich noch auf der Straße übergeben. Den ganzen Tag ging es uns kotz übel und mussten nur aufs Klo. Entweder lag es an dem Fett der frittierten und gebratenen Wurst oder am Büfett selber. Bitte achtet drauf …

Perfect, the menu offers something for every taste. Still, we had burgers and they were massive and delicious.

We wanted to try the brunch in nostalgic remembrance of the former Café Sidney on Winterfeldplatz. Both I and two other guests independently ordered the fitness breakfast (€15). We got carrot sticks, pepper sticks and cucumber sticks with a little bread and sour cream, carelessly prepared. Regardless of each other, the other guests and I were shocked. The discrepancy between expectations after reading the menu and eating has never been so great in my 36 years. I then read the text in the order card: and everything that was written on it was delivered. But the other guests couldn't believe their eyes either. In the end we paid just under €90 for 5 people - the only question is what for. We will never come back for brunch (but probably anything else). For the money you can eat really well even in more expensive restaurants. We were disappointed. Update: we went there on 2nd of March (Saturday) and took Fitness Breakfast. And sorry to say, but my impression was that two other guests had the same feeling: 15€ for a few sticks of carrots, cucumber and pepper with sour cream and slices of bread was by far the worsed misfit of price and what you get for it that I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Not to damage your business, but in order to warn others...

It was a very nice evening in the restaurant. The prices are very cheap. I'm new in Berlin and the nice realtor recommended this shop to me. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices. I wouldn't have thought of such an offer in this situation. The boss is there personally and is available to provide service himself. Hats off !!! I'm looking forward to being able to enjoy the European Championships in your restaurant. I'll definitely be back soon.

Mega gutes Essen. Einfache Zutaten mit passend eingesetzten Kräutern und Gewürzen - einfach so unglaublich gut. So lecker! Und Preis Leistung vollkommen in Ordnung. Gute Auswahl. Toller Services. Freundliches, aufmerksames Personal. Nur die Cocktails haben es in sich. Gern wieder! Sehr zu empfehlen.

The visit to the cafe left mixed impressions. We took Kaisershman, the caramel in it turned out to be hard and not suitable for consumption. I took food from this restaurant, when I delivered it, it turned out that all the food that was in a paper bag had spilled. I had to throw away the leftover food. The money spent on food was wasted. The restaurant could have wrapped the food more securely and protected it from spillage.

Super Aufmerksamer Service , toller Gastgeber und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen war ein Traum, habe wenn überhaupt nur ganz ganz selten so lecker gegessen. Die Portionen waren leider nicht schaffbar, aber sie Packen es auch ein. Ein ganz großes Danke geht an das gesamte Team und ich werde definitiv und zu 100% wieder kommen. Bis zum nächsten Mal

Ich hatte eine auf den Punkt zubereitete halbe Ente; die ein Gedicht war; und den leckersten Kaiserschmarrn, den je gegessen habe( Anmerkungen: meine Familie kommt aus Österreich!!!). Wir wussten was uns erwartet: ganz großes Kino! Garnelen satt- ein Traum. Der Salat war knackig und das Dressing separat! Jeder Wunsch wird erfüllt. Hübsche Location mit vielen kleinen Besonderheiten. Isi und Josef sind tolle sympathische Gastgeber Immer wieder gerne!

Service unter aller.... Wir waren zur Artnight dort. Es wurde direkt abkassiert, für mich kein Problem, aber dennoch kann man die Gäste begrüßen und für eine Apfelschorle keine 20min zum Servieren benötigen.

The food was delicious and the owner was very nice. The atmosphere is cozy and me and my dad found it the perfect place to get some rest after a long day of walking. Would recommend it to everyone looking for a cozy, fairly cheap restaurant or bar outside central Berlin.

The schnitzel is absolutely incredible! The staff were immensely nice and couldnt be more accommodating. Their recommendations for food and beer were perfect! We are coming back soon! There's even a cute dog named Schoko who visits!
