Wir haben hier eine Pause vom sightseeing gemacht und schön draußen am Wenigemarkt in der Maisonne gesessen. Das Essen war qualitativ und geschmacklich wirklich gut und hatte einige außergewöhnliche leckere Extras. Die Bedienung war nett und aufmerksam. Ein kleiner Fehler des Service wurde sofort und professionell korrigiert und als Entschuldigung gab es dann auch noch einen Espresso aufs Haus. Alles fein! Gern wieder.

I had the goulash. The dumplings, like rubber, the meat consisted of 70% fat. I didn't find it that tasty. The service is very friendly. However, the fact that there is only one toilet is also less nice.

Unfortunately only two stars, the kitchen was responsible for that. I relied on the positive reviews on Google, but had a different experience. If you want to eat dumplings with goulash then ignore my review, I can't say anything about it. First of all, about the menu: It's May and the nice little menu still has the winter salad on it. This wouldn't be a big deal, but it lacks any trace of seasonality (May and no asparagus?). That was the first indication of a kitchen that makes things very easy. I chose the salmon fillet with risotto and braised cucumber vegetables and was excited about the combination of these components. I was served a beautifully presented canteen meal. It sounds harsh, but unfortunately it was. The “spinach risotto” was neither made from a proper grain of risotto rice (Arborio, Vialone, Carnaroli…), nor were there any traces of spinach or onions. The consistency revealed that it wasn't just a fresh risotto being cooked here, but that there were two large pots. A red one ("tomato risotto") and a green one ("spinach risotto"). I have to say that I am a passionate cook myself and have spent some time in Italy, but I have never encountered a risotto like this in a restaurant. The taste composition of the three different components (salmon, braised cucumbers, risotto) was also like being thrown together in a canteen. The portion was just okay, which speaks for real savings in terms of quality. In summary: The ambience outside is so nice that you get enough walk-in customers so that you really don't have to make any effort in the kitchen.

A visit here is always worth it. A small restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area, not far from the Krämerbrücke. Extremely friendly staff, very tasty food and excellent service. Absolute recommendation if you are in Erfurt. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back. The 5 points are there because unfortunately more is not possible.

A very nicely located restaurant. The two ladies from the service are very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The portions of the food are great, it tastes very tasty and is beautifully prepared. A visit is definitely worth it.

Really a very successful restaurant with very good food.

Drinks and friendliness of the waitress were good, Kaiserschmarrn was ok. The ambience at the fish market is always good. What doesn't work is that 3 different cards didn't work, although I tried again afterwards and they worked perfectly. It's probably the case that you don't want to pay the fees for card payments, but you don't say so openly and try to blame the non-working cards, i.e. the customer.

We can absolutely recommend the restaurant!!!! The food was really tasty and sufficient. The service was friendly and the atmosphere outside was really great in April. You should definitely stop here⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tolle Essensauswahl, sehr freundlicher Service. Man kann draußen am schönen Wenigemarkt sitzen, oder drin - dort ist es eher klein und eng. Das Essen (Hauptgerichte) ist qualitativ und geschmacklich einfach großartig! Leider war der Kaiserschmarrn nicht gut (kleine Portion, fast ungesüßt und zu fest) Dennoch gebe ich 5 Punkte, weil die Hauptgerichte wirklich sehr sehr lecker sind.

I was here for a birthday party with my family. My food tasted good. Some others' dishes, however, really left a lot to be desired. Some of the food is not prepared properly and/or there is far too little. The meat is cooked noticeably too hard and you only get a piece the size of two fingers. The dumplings are just slightly larger than table tennis balls. We were told it would be passed on. The service, on the other hand, is nice and understanding. For those who didn't have enough there was an extra portion. The price of the extra portion was waived and two free coffees were included. The restaurant is very cramped and crowded. Hardly any space to eat. But it has to be said that there were seven of us there. You can only really sit outside in summer.

So, first of all. The store is actually designed for summer operations. In winter it gets a bit cozy in the restaurant, which is why it only gets 2 stars for the ambience. (Sat behind the door, but better than not at all) We were in Erfurt last week and I looked for some restaurants on TripAdvisor and came across the top dog there. Standard German is spoken here, which definitely made it easier for me as a tourist. The service was very competent and I had a pleasant, open but professional manner. The chef also enjoys praise. Just like every cook (praise the hands that prepare your food more(!)) Now for the most important part - the food. I took the offer on the board because, as I know it, it's a changing program and you can usually try out something really good and new there. I had the fish, my friend had the beer goulash. Both were very tasty and I was more than surprised at the price of the food. In my hometown you would pay twice as much for such quality. What I also thought was great was the atmosphere later after most of the guests had left, we were able to chat with the people there and find out more about the restaurant. So. An absolute recommendation if you are in Erfurt. Next year we will come again. We are looking forward to seeing you.

I'm sorry, but what was it today? The service was ok, if I ignore the fact that the waitresses were sitting on the floor, street clothes seem to be work clothes. Attentive nonetheless. Taste wise, a bit cold. Food not really fresh (mushy, brown mint / salad), ready-made dumplings etc. BUT! The restaurant was really cold, it smelled unpleasant and didn't seem inviting. There's actually a different way .So no matter what in the meantime. Time is going on, but a change would be necessary.

Waren zum ersten Mal hier und hatten eigentlich mehr erwartet. Das Gulasch in Bier mit Klößen war ganz gut, die Entenbrust leider viel zu durch gebraten und zäh wie Leder. Obwohl sie rosa bestellt war. Es ist sehr eng dort, wer es mag... Bei unserem nächsten Erfurt Besuch probieren wir ein anderes Restaurant aus.

For dinner in the very cozy, very small restaurant, cafe. The staff was friendly, but not technically trained. The food was okay, but maybe only frozen goods. (Duck breast with Thuringian dumplings). I would have served the green salad separately. The sanitary facilities are extremely small, toilets for men and women are common, but clean. Booking a table in advance is recommended.

Ein neues frisches Restaurant, welches am 21.05.2022 neu eröffnet wurde. Diese kleine gemütliche Lokalität bietet Sitzplätze innen und außen, sodass man direkten Kontakt mit dem Wenigemarkt hat. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 7 Personen kurz nach Eröffnung da und wurden sofort freundlich und zuvorkommend zu einer neu zusammengestellten Tischgruppe begleitet. Preis und Qualität sind in einem sehr guten Verhältnis. Frische Produkte, neue Essenskonstellationen sowie ein sehr guter Geschmack steht hier im Vordergrund. Leider war mein Steak nicht mehr medium, trotzdem noch saftig und schmackhaft. Dafür wurde auf der Rechnung kulanter Weise ein Getränk gestrichen. Nichtsdestotrotz war es ein sehr schöner, gemütlicher und geschmackvoller Abend mit hervorragender Bedienung! 4,5*

A culinary experience in the heart of Erfurt! The visit to the Platzhirsch restaurant on the Wenigemarkt was a thoroughly pleasant experience. The cozy, inviting atmosphere of the small, stylish restaurant makes it special. The food was convincing from starter to dessert: lovingly prepared, tasted excellent and the meat was cooked perfectly. I find the combination of traditional Thuringian cuisine and modern influences, which is implemented creatively and convincingly, particularly successful. The selection of drinks is small, but well chosen and varied. If you would like to try something new: the Harz cheese, which is currently offered as a starter, was a real surprise for me. Although I'm not normally a fan of it, this showed how versatile and tasty it can be. A little highlight! Conclusion: At Top Dog, quality meets creative ideas. Here you can be surprised by the culinary delights and you are guaranteed not to be disappointed.

Been here multiple times during last summer. I loved the pulled pork burger. And the prawn salad with dried tomatoes was much better than I had anticipated. Good food, friendly service.

This great restaurant is right in the heart of Erfurt's old town. The service from Steffi was uniquely good - warm, super attentive and extremely fast. The food is really exceptional! We once had the Thuringian Mutzbraten and once the pulled venison burger. Both were a real taste experience. For dessert we had the mango mascarpone cream and a Kaiserschmarrn. Both also absolutely brilliant. The evenings at the Platzhirsch really rounded off our short stay in Erfurt and emphasized the warmth with which we were welcomed in Thuringia's capital.

Absolutely recommended! Kitchen excellent 👌 definitely try the salmon tartare, soooo delicious. Service very warm + personal 👍 The next time you visit Erfurt, the “top dog” will definitely be booked in advance. We'll be back :-)

A successful evening with really great service. One star deducted because instead of linguine there was only spaghetti (it was still delicious).

Service was very friendly, unfortunately the food wasn't that good. Burgers and chips extremely greasy, you had the impression that the burger bun had also been fried. Space in the interior is very limited. Drinks were ok but nothing special. Homemade ginger lemon balm lemonade was simply sparkling water with a lemon slice and lemon balm leaves for just under €6. Based on the good reviews, we had hoped for more. For vegetarians and vegans it might be worth knowing that the veggie selection is very limited. There are no vegan dishes.

There are Thuringian classics interpreted in a modern way. The quality is really convincing, chapeau! The service team is quick and friendly, the small restaurant is modernly furnished, and the prices are more than reasonable. All in all very successful.

Stumbled across it by chance and was totally thrilled. Very good food, very nice service. We had booked an “extension” for the next day. If we go to Erfurt again, we will definitely eat here again.

We had Mutzbraten with dumplings, game burgers and linguine. To put it simply, it was fantastic! Dr Mutzbraten was super tender and juicy, the dumplings were homemade. The game burger was also very tasty and with homemade potato chips. Linguine on point. In short, you don't often find such quality in Erfurt!

A real insider tip – the top dog! I've been to Top Dog a few times now and it's a highlight every time. The atmosphere is just right: modern, but with a cozy, almost family touch. You immediately feel welcome. The menu is varied without being overwhelming. I was particularly enthusiastic about the venison fillet – tender as butter and simply perfectly prepared. But the vegetarian dishes are anything but boring. The pumpkin risotto was a real treat! What I particularly like is the quality of the ingredients. You can tell that they really pay attention to freshness and regionality here. There is also a great selection of wines - there is something for every taste. The staff is super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell that they love their job and enjoy it. In short: Platzhirsch is the perfect place to spend a relaxing evening with really good food. I'll definitely be back!

Just beautiful here, the food was great, everything was right.

We had chosen the restaurant for the next visit to Erfurt a long time ago, and now there were four of us in the "Platzhirsch". We wanted to go in because of the temperatures, got a seat there, but immediately noticed that it was pretty tight. That The house filled up more and it became less comfortable. There was a lot of seating here, but for many guests there was only one toilet for EVERYONE. But that was also supposed to be the negative for us (a few times we could see the waitresses doing a few laps with the trays and apparently not quite knowing where to go). There aren't that many different options on the menu, but there's still something there, the portions were good, pretty varied and the taste was great. There's nothing to say, with everything else that goes with a restaurant you could add a little more.

The food was really great. Small extra requests are fulfilled. Very nice team.

Here people still work with heart and even more hospitality. The food is always fresh and delicious. The prices for Erfurt are rather moderate. Very nice beer garden. It's a shame that the interior is rather small. It's best to always reserve in advance.

We ate there twice during our stay in Erfurt. Both times excellent. Praise to the kitchen. Very friendly and attentive staff. Sat outside (the second time under the umbrella and the rainy evening was still nice) The car traffic is a bit annoying.

We spontaneously stopped by the restaurant. We were allowed to choose a place for two. The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. The Thuringian bratwurst could have been fried a little spicier and the mashed potatoes tasted a bit like a "bag". All in all, it was still tasty.

Great little cafe in a square in Erfurt. One of the best steak sandwich’s we have eaten. It was so good we went back the next day and ordered it again. The service was friendly and efficient and having live music in the square only added to the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Platzhirsch has a pleasant outdoor area with a view of the Wenigemarkt, which invites you to linger. The menu is manageable, but also offers a choice for vegetarians. The prices are fair and the burger is said to be a real insider tip - worth every bite! Unfortunately, I found the portion of my risotto a bit too small for the price. What struck me immediately was that the boss probably personally came to every occupied table and asked if everything was OK. I think that's great because you can give direct feedback. All in all a good restaurant with good value for money. I can recommend it!

There were six of us here and we were able to sit comfortably outside. It's so beautiful, there used to be no restaurants on this side of the Wenigemarkt and now the whole atmosphere is getting better and better. The food was very good, hamburgers, pasta, salad and rice were delicious. The staff was casual and nice.

Nice atmosphere, service okay (not particularly attentive). I wouldn't recommend the salad, it was anything but fresh - at home I would have thrown away lamb's lettuce in this condition. The other varieties weren't fresh either, except for the tomatoes. Everything was very collapsed. Dressing didn't taste like anything, just bitter. The taste was very disappointing, the goat cheese was bitter and not of high quality. Overpriced at just under 18 euros. The beef cheeks were “okay”. The mashed potatoes had been warmed in the microwave.

I can't rate food. Ordered a final round shortly after 11 p.m. Very friendly service and enjoyed a nice end to the day at the Wenigemarkt.
