Nice atmosphere with a view of the castle. Good, attentive service. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not up to 8 guests at all. The pumpkin soup was bitter and inedible. The burger was mediocre at best and was heavy on the stomach, etc. In addition, the price was clearly too high for the food on offer. It's a shame, if the kitchen improved significantly, Pier 7 would be a really nice location.

Very tasty food with a view of Schwerin Castle.

Charged extra 7€ for 2 coffees we didn’t order. They were neither delivered nor consumed. We didn’t know German so we didn’t understand this charge on the receipt until we Google translated it. Not sure if the mistake was intentional for foreigners.

A great restaurant. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio of our meal was not at all good. A few fried potatoes (not fresh fried potatoes, but from a bag), schnitzel was good, but the side dish was more than poor (a slice of orange, a small half of a tomato) and that was all for €19.90. That doesn't work at all. You can't just use the good location to score points.

If you take a look at the castle then you have to eat here too, the view is fantastic and the food tastes simply delicious

Rump steak drowned in overly salty ready-made sauce. I wanted to go out for a nice dinner with my girlfriend in the evening and made a reservation early. My only request was a seat by the window. When we got there, we were given a place in the upper area right in the middle. On the one hand, not by the window (all the seats were occupied) and on the other hand, right next to a table for four. The distance between the two tables was less than half a meter. Privacy and conversations were out of the question. The situation was generally extremely unpleasant. Luckily, when a window seat became available, we were allowed to change upon request. After the cutlery was carelessly placed on the table, the food came. Unfortunately, this was where the next disappointment followed. The rump steak I ordered was drowned in a sauce that was far too salty and very intense. This accident was surrounded by a lot of side dishes, which put the steak in the background. After I saved my steak to the edge of the plate and was able to prevent any major sauce damage, the taste was pretty okay. The side dishes tasted quite good apart from the sauce. But still, who would drown a steak in ready-made sauce?? The whole thing was accompanied by screaming and raging children without supervision. We still wanted to order dessert afterwards. So I asked a waitress if we could get the menu again because we wanted to order something else. Unfortunately, she couldn't speak any German at all, so she thought I wanted to pay by card and finally had to get a colleague from downstairs who could give us the menu. The dessert tasted quite good. However, we both had a scoop of vanilla ice cream with us. The inside consisted of lots of ice crystals. With a ball price of €2.20 you somehow expect more. All in all, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Relatively long waiting time for the food. But it was good. Only the service was a bit strange. At first you couldn't order food and drink together, then they didn't let you out of your sight while you were eating and suddenly no one was there to pay.

The service staff here are very nice and mostly accommodating. The ambience here is very nice and with a view of the castle and the white fleet, it is one of THE Schwerin locations that make a visit a highlight. Perfect for an evening with family and friends. The drinks and food here are always very tasty and the prices are just about reasonable, but the selection of food is not very extensive. Otherwise, highly recommended. You can sit inside or outside 😉

Man sitzt wirklich sehr schön hier, sowohl im geschmackvoll gestalteten Innenbereich als auch auf der Terrasse direkt am See. Und das ist wohl der Grund, weshalb diese Lokalität mit ihrem Alleinstellungsmerkmal am Wasser sehr gut besucht ist - am Essen oder dem Service kann's nicht liegen. . Getränke kamen noch in angemessener Zeit, danach dauerte es bereits sehr lange, bevor wir überhaupt unsere Speisen bestellen konnten. Am frühen Abend auch unter der Woche (wir hatten für 18:30 Uhr reserviert) natürlich außerordentlich gut besucht, so daß wir - Gruppe von 6 Personen - noch ein gewisses Verständnis dafür aufbringen konnten. . Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, alles, was angeboten wird, ist vorzubereiten und bedarf auch keiner großartigen Zubereitungszeit. Nachdem sich jedoch gegen 20 Uhr beinahe das gesamte Restaurant geleert hatte - es waren kaum noch Tische besetzt - hatten wir trotzdem noch immer kein Essen!!! Über eine Stunde haben wir gewartet. Und leider war das Essen keine Offenbarung, zB. der "Pier 7 - Burger" (eine Stunde, um 4 Burger mit Pommes zuzubereiten!!!!) ohne jede Finesse, um nicht zu sagen, geschmacklos. . Eine weitere - nun ja, "Überraschung" erlebten wir, als wir beim Bezahlen verstanden haben, weshalb der Kellner bei Aufnahme der Bestellung jeden einzelnen von uns explizit gefragt hat, ob er - zum Burger/Pommes - Ketchup oder Majo wünscht. Eine Selbstverständlichkeit, üblicherweise in Flaschenform auf dem Tisch, wird hier in winzigen Schälchen dazugestellt und tatsächlich extra berechnet. Das macht natürlich niemanden wirklich ärmer, ist aber einfach nur kleinlich und hinterläßt einen unschönen Beigeschmack.

Unacceptable waiting time, food average at best . It's really nice to sit here, both in the tastefully designed interior and on the terrace right by the lake. And that's probably the reason why this location with its unique selling point on the water is very well attended - it can't be because of the food or the service. . Drinks came in a reasonable time, but it took a long time before we could even order our food. In the early evening (we had reserved for 6:30 p.m.) it was of course extremely well attended, so that we - a group of 6 people - were still able to have a certain understanding of it. . The menu is manageable, everything that is offered can be prepared and does not require a lot of preparation time. . However, after the entire restaurant had almost emptied around 8 p.m. - there were hardly any tables left - we still had no food!!! We waited for over an hour. And unfortunately the food wasn't a revelation, for example. the "Pier 7 - Burger" (one hour to prepare 4 burgers with fries!!!!) without any finesse, not to say tasteless. . We had another - well, "surprise" when we realized when we were paying why the waiter explicitly asked each of us when we took our orders whether they wanted ketchup or mayonnaise with the burger/fries. A delicacy, usually in the form of a bottle on the table, is placed here in tiny bowls and is actually charged extra. Of course that doesn't really make anyone poorer, but it's just petty and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

It's a great location, great view of the castle, great offers with food and drinks. We really have nothing to complain about. It would be nice if you could provide a separate area for smokers outside, so you won't be bothered if you're a non-smoker or if you're eating, which was really difficult for us, unfortunately smokers also eat in this restaurant no consideration! Or simply a non-smoking restaurant! When we are there we would like to come back.

The food was excellent, the view was beautiful! But the waitresses were strange. Service was friendly, but extremely short, everything was quick, drink, eat, pay. Get up, go. We weren't pressured to leave, quite the opposite, but unfortunately it seemed very hectic. But perhaps there was simply a lack of staff. A tip: Please do not use wooden (!) plates! This is super unhygienic as it is difficult to clean. Next time I would ask for a different plate. Prices absolutely acceptable!

The view was very nice of the water with the castle, the staff was nice but we were served an unclean plate, the meat wasn't cooked properly and the burger bread was buttery soft, the portion also didn't correspond to the price and it was very expensive . Great ambience and location, but that was all that was positive! Staff snippy, unfriendly and not service oriented at all. Even as a paying guest you have to pay €1 to use the toilets, RUDE!!! He just wanted to order something to drink and then something to eat, but we finished our drinks and then left.

The service is very nice and checks in regularly. The ambience is great with a view of the castle. The food was also very tasty and fills you up. The only thing that bothered me the most was a small worm in the salad, but that just happens. Otherwise great👍

Unfortunately, my visit to the Pier 7 restaurant was a complete disappointment. After waiting forever to even be seated, we were completely ignored by the waitresses. Nobody explained to us that there would be someone to serve us right away. The food and drinks also took forever, even though the restaurant wasn't even full. When the food finally came, the portion was far too small for the exorbitant price we paid. After my currywurst for fries for €12, I had to get something to eat somewhere else. The only positive aspect was the beautiful view of the castle, but that definitely doesn't justify the poor service and overpriced food. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Pier 7 restaurant at all.

All around good. Despite the great evening weather, there was a free spot on the terrace with a view of Schwerin Castle. The service is courteous, special requests were taken into account and there was nothing wrong with the speed of service. The burger we ordered tasted good, but you have to be prepared for the sauce to be a bit spicy. My companion had salmon and was also satisfied. Price-performance ratio is okay given the location.

The food was tasty but the food wasn't served for a very long time. And later customers came and got the food first instead of us.

We did try to get lunch and ordered first some drinks and the waiter directed to a collegue for the food. Collegue never showed up. Asked other wayter and directed us also to collegue but again didnt showed up. We left after a while and lunched elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the order took longer and when paying you had to force yourself to be seen. But the view made up for it

Nice location with a view of the castle. The service was very nice, but the quality of the food was really poor. The potatoes weren't even at canteen level. Hard and tasteless, probably the vacuum-sealed ones from the wholesaler. The burger patty was dry and burnt. Of course we reported this to the service department. We were promised that this would be passed on to the kitchen. One can only hope that the restaurant addresses the criticism.

We spontaneously went to eat there after visiting a castle. We decided on the currywurst fries because we were extremely hungry. To eat: The currywurst fries consist of a fine bratwurst and fries from the air fryer, The bratwurst was cut diagonally to make it appear larger and garnished with a few herbs and the sauce. In terms of taste, the sauce is the highlight, the sausage and fries are rather mediocre. You won't get full from the amount. To the ambience The ambience is quite chic if you have a seat with a view of the castle, otherwise boats decorate the restaurant. To the service The service made an effort. To the sanitary facilities The sanitary facilities were clean, but why do they give guests single-layer toilet paper? The restaurant has a nice view of the castle, and attentive service staff, But we were very disappointed with the food.

The food is good, but there is still a lot of room for improvement in the (female) service. Even simple dishes (cake and coffee) come at different times, sometimes even upon request! This is a great shame, as the overall good general impression is significantly diminished, especially in this prominent bank location. Only conditionally recommended.

We had a grilled salmon (€21.50) and a Hamburger schnitzel (€20.50). All in all, the food was tasty and beautifully prepared, but only the potatoes were certainly fresh. Salmon, schnitzel, cauliflower,… all ready from the frozen food. Unfortunately you only pay for the ambience. You can do at least the same thing at home. The portions are okay. Unfortunately there were very few fried potatoes on it. By that I mean about 3 tablespoons. The table next door had a burger and I have to say, if I come back, I know what I'll have. The table is assigned to you. It would just be very nice if you were welcomed as guests and not walked past. All in all… with such a small menu you would expect fresh cuisine.

The service here is very poor despite the prices. Cutlery is not provided. If you ask, you can get spoons instead of knives. The food comes at different times. We tried to order drinks three times, only once did someone come. Bill payment is also delayed. Some of the food was undercooked.

The location is awesome - on the water with a great view of the Schloss Schwerin castle - but the food and service wasn't that great. The schnitzel was tough and took a really long time for our beers to arrive (more than 10 minutes - longest we've seen in all of Germany!).

The staff asked several times because they had forgotten something. There were blankets to keep warm in the evenings.
