Restaurant Bölle in Darmstadt

Today I decided on Bölle-Schnitzel with fried potatoes, the schnitzel tasted too much like the breading for my taste and the potatoes were partly flaky. There was enough parking space and the service was really good. The ambience was also good (especially if you remember what kind of dive bar it used to be.

For the quality offered, it is relatively affordable by Darmstadt standards.

We've wanted to go to Restaurant Bölle again for a long time. Unfortunately we only came to try to make a reservation. I called there personally and was approached in such an unfriendly manner by the boss himself: "We should make a reservation online. I've never experienced anything like that. We will never eat there again. It seems that the restaurant no longer wants any new guests because they are so overloaded. That's why there's no place for us anymore.

I didn't eat here, so no review for the food or ambience. In front of me was a group of guests who were seated in the winter garden. Like me, you didn't have a reservation. The waiter had no more space for me, even though there were still about 10 seats available in the winter garden. But he offered outside at around 14°C. I'll rate it accordingly.

Good value for money, good German and Mediterranean cuisine, good service and attentiveness from the waiters. The terrace is also good in summer and always has enough space. We were here for the second time and will be back

A nice restaurant by the forest. This was our fourth time here. Service is very friendly. Food very tasty. Small playground for children. You can then digest the food with a walk in the forest and the children can have a lot of fun again. It was a great day.

We were there around 3 p.m., the lunchtime hype was over, there was space and very friendly service.

Instead of contacting the guest who gives a 3 star review (me) and describes an unpleasant situation on site, two years after writing the review you are accused of defamation and the operator asks Google to delete the review. Customer loyalty, self-reflection and self-improvement are different. My assessment at the time apart from the text: Food 4, service 3, ambience 4. Overall 3. It's a shame how guests are treated far afterwards. In the future, I will no longer recommend your establishment if someone asks me where to eat in Darmstadt.

Very nice evening, a nice table was reserved for us in the garden restaurant. The salad with a large piece of salmon and shrimp skewer was fresh and tasted very good. Service was very attentive even though it was extremely busy. We'd love to come back. Thanks to the team

Nice ambience and good food. We were there with a large group and some of the waiters couldn't keep up. And the food is very good, but not exactly cheap either. All in all we had a very nice evening.

A nice, older restaurant with nice staff and good food. Small deductions however: The non-alcoholic drinks include items from Sinalco, which unfortunately we don't like at all. - What we really disliked was that our request to get a minced steak instead of fried potatoes with salad was added to the bill with an extra 1.50. At a price of over 15 euros (then over 17) we feel it is unjustified and we are not used to that from other restaurants.

Were there in the afternoon. At first the service was okay, but this died down as it got busier and after we had the main course. The apple strudel was very tasty, the Bruscetra Trio... Three pieces of baguette for €8. A lame pizza that wasn't worth the €11, I've had better ones from the freezer. We had to ask 3 service staff until we could pay and that took about 20 minutes. When she got there, we were yelled at that we hadn't informed us that we wanted to pay by card.

I was visiting my aunt and cousin in Darmstadt and was invited to dinner. We went to Bölle. My aunt had made a reservation and we were allowed to sit outside. Very warm and personal welcome and cozy and cozy outside. A great menu and all dishes were fresh, delicious and plentiful. Price and performance go together perfectly here! Always quick, unobtrusive and friendly service. You have to go there!

Nice beer garden, delicious home-style food, happy to repeat!

We came here after a walk in the forest with our dogs and fortified ourselves. For hygiene reasons, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. Dogs are still welcome outside in the beer garden. A little tip: Dog owners should not sit directly at the entrance if there are still free tables off to the side. This makes it more relaxed for all dogs. If a dog cannot lie comfortably on gravel, it is best to bring a thicker blanket.

Been there at the beginning of July 2024. We found the food to be home-style and average, the prices themselves were higher than average. The restaurant itself is quite attractive.

If you like good home-style cooking, you'll get your money's worth here. The menu is not overloaded either. Freshness, spices and careful presentation. A real pleasure. Despite the good attendance, the waiting time was short. Only the ambience inside is a bit restless and noisy.

We had dinner here after our civil wedding. The table was set especially for us. The service was super friendly and attentive. The food came to all guests at the same time. The portions are large and super tasty. We recommend.

Very warm and friendly service from both the waitress and the owner. Food comes very quickly and is very tasty and at the ideal temperature. A main course was initially delivered incorrectly but corrected immediately and very warmly. There was a small gift at the farewell. I was and am really very enthusiastic and would love to come back. Was there for the first time for a colleague's farewell party. We sat in a large group in the beer garden. We have enough seating... Despite the good number of visitors, the food we ordered came relatively quickly. I had Salad Tom... a salad creation with rump steak for just under €25 and a tomato soup as a starter. Both were very tasty 😋 Judging by the empty plate, the other colleagues also seemed to have enjoyed it very much. The service staff was also on point and always there when the glasses were empty 😜

It's been a while since we've been to "Bölle" again and were able to get hold of one of the coveted dishes in the beautiful beer garden. The food was super tasty, although the portions could have been a little larger. The service was friendly and attentive. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

We went there for dinner again today with our group, everything was just great. The reception at the entrance, the seating, the service and the food simply create a feel-good atmosphere. The portions of the food are completely sufficient and the prices of the dishes are also completely fair. Unfortunately, the cooked cheese schnitzel was a bit burnt, the fried potatoes were dry and only lukewarm, at least the cooked cheese was served separately, which I rate as positive. The wheat beer was subpar: almost no yeast, no foam, stale and too warm.

Offers a good opportunity to go for a walk. I think the concept of a different moto every month is good. I don't think it's appropriate to have a restaurant on the edge of the forest where dogs are not allowed. I don't understand the reasoning. After all, children are sometimes louder and also make messes.

It's been a while since I've had dinner at Bölle with my colleagues. It was very good, everything was freshly prepared and attentive, quick service. Just as I know it from Bölle. I just found the portions a little too small, but I was still full. I'm looking forward to the beer garden, I'll definitely stop by there more often.

A very good price/performance ratio with a good, varied menu that I have only ever experienced as delicious.

Awful. Seated at a folding table under which one could hardly get the legs placed in the designated toddler playarea. Consequently parents and toddlers continuing to squeeze past to play in the remaining small space. Not the atmosphere you’d like to conclude a busy day. We’d called ahead for a reservation and would have rather been told there wasn’t space than to experience this. Food was bland and dry. No. Never again..

Service was good. Everything else was terrible. Food was dry and bland. We wanted to conclude a very hectic day with a nice dinner and made reservations for dinner. First visit to that restaurant ( we are certain now it was also the last). We were seated at a folding table in the designated toddler play area. Which resulted in parents and toddlers continuing to push past us to utilize their toys. That’s simply taking the greed too far. Squeezing the last buck out of the restaurant space. Awful. Never again. We would have been better off being turned away when we called to make the reservation.

2024'-03-10. Sunday. Birthday. 1730h. 12 in Bölle. Nice table. 2 kids there. The food from starters to main courses and desserts was again excellent. I had baked sheep's cheese and boiled cheese schnitzel with fried potatoes. 2023-12-14. Thursday. We were lucky. In the evening around 1930 there was still a table for two available. Restaurant was packed. This time we again had curry soup with shrimps, baked sheep's cheese, green tagliatelle with mushrooms and broccoli and dessert. As always, we enjoyed it. 2023-07-30. Around 1845h. Today we had a curry soup with shrimps, boiled cheese schnitzel and tagliatelle on mushrooms with broccoli. Plus elderberry lemonade. Was delicious. 2023-04-27. We felt like eating at Bölle again. There was a tomato 🍅 soup first, delicious. Mushrooms on tagliatelle also delicious and a pizza veggi plus extra mushrooms. Summer in the beer garden. Easy to park. YHW

There were two of us and we felt very comfortable. The waitress recommended something to us, including the right wine. All in one a successful evening.

Like 4 years ago, still the classic 4 stars. I think you would like more here in this restaurant, as the prices have risen significantly and some of the dishes are a bit more "classy". Unfortunately, no consistent concept can be identified. Something is missing everywhere for the price range and the well-intended promotion to the more upscale restaurant category. Both with some of the dishes, as well as the overall ambience, etc. etc. My food was very tasty (Adria salad), pizza just looked mediocre. You could then delete it from the map. LG

Das Essen war schon da, bevor wir uns gesetzt hatten. Viel zu schnell ist kein gutes Zeichen. Und so war es. Bratkartoffeln ohne Röstaroma und Gewürzen, Schnitzel nicht geklopft, Kochkäse nicht verlaufen. Service war gut. Lage ist gut zum Wandern.

Price-performance okay, one suggestion is that you charge for the coffee once and then, like in the USA, coffee is given free of charge, it has to be nice from the machine, you can also just brew it like in the old days, you can charge for machine coffee separately, that with the fish 🐟 Could use some cooling when lying down for a long time, but otherwise everything is recommended. We had a little something to eat and drink here. The service was extremely fast, friendly and accommodating. The food (salad and cheesecake) was delicious, as were the drinks (beer). If there is a Bundesliga game you should make a reservation. Otherwise there might not be any more space... The reservation online was very easy and was confirmed immediately. You really have to emphasize the prudence of the owner here. He recognized that I was looking for my colleague and led me directly to him... without me having to ask. Rarely have I experienced so much customer awareness and orientation. Really extremely friendly. Gladly again, absolutely recommended! By the way, the previous bad reviews are rubbish. We experienced it completely differently.

We were sent away by the boss because of our appearance because we come from out of town. It couldn't be more unfriendly! Never again !

Immer wieder lecker! Ein gemütliches Ambiente, toller Service und Chef, Essen super!

Ich bin immer zufrieden mit dem tollen Essen. Wir gehen zu besonderen Anlässen zum Bölle, weil es eine gute Auswahl gibt, für jeden Genießer ein besonderes Gericht. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist OK. Ich komme mit meinem Rollstuhl problemlos über den Gartenzugang ins Restaurant. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert! ❤️

Service und Ambiente sind super. Allerdings war das Schnitzel wirklich nicht gut. Da hab ich in vielen Kantinen am Schnitzeltag schon besseres auf dem Teller gehabt. Warm war es auch nicht. Schade. Mal schauen, wie es beim nächsten Versuch dort sein wird.

Meine Partnerin hatte die Schnitzel mit Spiegelei und hat es ganz lecker gefunden. Ich hatte die vegetarische Curry-Gemüse Pfanne und findet es leider nicht empfehlung wert weil, obwohl die Reis und Gemüse war ganz in Ordnung, von Curry war nichts zu schmecken. Sonst war alles gut. Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufkommenden, das Essen war schnell auf dem Tisch obwohl das Restaurant ausgebucht war. Wir würden in "Lounge" serviert was völlig OK war.

Lecker ist es immer, jedoch hatten wir zuletzt als große Gruppe (20 Personen) mit Reservierung nur eine deutlich reduzierte Karte angeboten bekommen. Prinzipiell ok aber die Auswahl war recht eintönig und preislich eher am oberen Ende…
