Im Restaurant Blockhaus gibt es immer lecker Essen zu fairen Preisen. Das Essen wir stets frisch zubereitet und das Elsässer Schnitzel ist ist einfach nur genial! Die Betreiber machen eine super Service. Sind stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant ist liebevoll dekoriert. Im Winter brennt sogar ein offener Kamin. Update 07/2026 Es war wie immer lecker. 😋 Und der Empfang war sehr familiär. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

Wir haben hier einen super gemütlichen Abend verbracht! Das Ambiente im Blockhaus Scharzfeld ist einfach klasse und total urig. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, die Getränke sind top und besonders das frische, gut sichtbare Salatbuffet hat uns begeistert. ​Ein riesiges Lob an das gesamte Team, alle sind super nett und machen einen guten Service! Besonders die Wirtin ist eine Wucht: total herzlich, offen und kommunikativ. ​Der Laden ist absolut zu empfehlen, wir kommen definitiv wieder! 🌲🍻

Die Portionen sind mehr als reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft. Zusätzlich gibt es noch eine Salatbar. Wir fühlen uns hier sehr wohl, da dieses Restaurant sehr gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren heute zu viert im Blockhaus und das war leider eine durchweg enttäuschende Erfahrung. Wir hatten T-Bone-Steaks bestellt und ausdrücklich gesagt, dass wir diese gut durchgebraten möchten. Serviert wurden uns jedoch Steaks, die noch deutlich blutig waren. Auf unsere Reklamation hin kam direkt ein völlig unpassender Kommentar („Soll ich’s tot machen?“) – so etwas ist in der Gastronomie einfach respektlos und unprofessionell. Nachdem die Steaks erneut in die Küche gingen, kamen sie zwar „durch“, waren dafür aber komplett verbrannt und geschmacklich kaum genießbar. Von Qualität konnte hier wirklich keine Rede mehr sein. Auch der Service hat das Ganze nicht besser gemacht. Auf unser ehrliches Feedback wurde kaum eingegangen – kein echtes Entgegenkommen, keine Entschuldigung, nichts. Beim Bezahlen dann noch der nächste Fehler: Uns wurde zunächst die falsche Rechnung gebracht. Insgesamt ein Besuch, bei dem sowohl Küche als auch Service komplett versagt haben. So geht man definitiv nicht mit Gästen um. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Ich war heute an Weinachten im Blockhaus mit der Familie, das Essen war Mega, der Koch hat es echt drauf WOW und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und freundlich. Alles in einem war es ein schöner Tag und ich hätte mir das Essen mit der Familie nicht besser Vorstellen können. 10/10

Eine urige Hütte am Waldrand, die auch irgendwo in Schweden stehen könnte. Ein offener Kamin sorgt für Gemütlichkeit. Die Bedienung ist nett und aufmerksam. Die Küche ist gutbürgerlich und wirklich sehr lecker. Gute Qualität, mit dem besonderen Pfiff in der Zubereitung. Wir kommen wieder!

Der erste Eindruck von außen hat uns etwas irreführend gemacht. Aber als wir die Tür öffneten und es gesehen haben waren wir hin und weg. Ambiente,Deco und der Service top. Preise in der Mittelklasse aber Gerechtfertigt. Den Koch sollte man nie wieder gehen lassen. Er hat's wirklich trauf.

Wir waren spontan und ohne Reservierung da, wurden freundlich empfangen und können auch sonst nichts negatives anbringen. Das Essen ist top, der Preis angemessen und wenn wir noch mal in der Gegend sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

We've rarely been given such an inhospitable and unfriendly welcome. While passing through, we wanted to stop here for lunch with three children. We waited in the fairly busy dining room, with no staff in sight. When a member of staff finally came out of the kitchen, we were rudely yelled at: "We're having a private party." Unfortunately, we couldn't have guessed; there was no sign anywhere. Hospitality and friendliness can be expressed differently—that's something you can communicate in a friendly way! Thanks for nothing!

A super rustic, beautifully furnished log cabin; you immediately feel at home and welcome. The schnitzels are amazing, all homemade. The prices are reasonable; we've been here three times and would love to come back. And the staff is excellent, too.

Had a delicious mushroom cream schnitzel. I think I've never had such a delicious schnitzel before. Everything was freshly prepared and the atmosphere was fantastic.

We were booked with a large group and were therefore offered the schnitzel buffet. The food itself was delicious, and the service was good, but when the first few bowls were empty, they brought more fries, and after that, every time we asked, we were told to ask the others for leftovers. At our insistence, another bowl of croquettes was served. At the checkout, we were charged €25 each. The same dish as a single portion was €15. When we asked why this was so, we were told that everyone could have eaten up to 10 schnitzels. We just had to reorder. Everything else was good, but this is pure tourist rip-off.

We were there from August 31st to September 4th. The restaurant is highly recommended. Very tasty and cozy. We stayed overnight at the campsite. My first stop was the restrooms. The first impression was simply catastrophic. It's no exaggeration to say it was completely filthy. The old restrooms are fine, but they also need to be cleaned (daily). On Sunday, the ladies' restrooms ran out of toilet paper. I asked the young manager if he could refill it. He didn't arrive at the site until Monday around 2 p.m. No sooner said than done. That was the only day they "cleaned." They probably only cleaned the sinks and toilets with a rag, or maybe the other way around. The showers were left out. The floor was completely filthy. No place to put clothes, except for a small stool. What was important on Monday and Tuesday, however, was cleaning the private RV with the whole family. As a camping neighbor said, the RV is the only thing that shines on this site. The grounds were messy, with "visible" garbage corners everywhere. Probably too convenient to dispose of it. And it wasn't just a week's worth of trash. Packages were delivered, and they were lying there in the grass, still in their original packaging. So, I'll stop now. My conclusion: If I want satisfied guests, I have to get off my ass and ensure order and, above all, cleanliness. It's not without reason that they say that first impressions count. I won't change anything in this post; all opinions are written about the restaurant, which was really nice. But the campsite is also part of it. But there's nothing nice to say about the campsite.

Great restaurant; fantastic food quality. Superb service from the owner and friendly prices. Beautiful Scandinavian log cabin. You truly feel like a guest. Keep in mind that the restaurant isn't open every day (unfortunately).

We ended up at Phillip's place on our motorbikes. Finally, someone who enjoys what he does. 👍 He greets you with a handshake and is always there for his guests. The food was absolutely delicious. Keep it up! We'll be back. 🤘

We were on vacation in the Harz Mountains and spontaneously got a table one evening. The atmosphere was lovely and the menu was excellent. The service was super friendly and the gentleman definitely enjoyed his work. The food was incredibly delicious, whether it was meat, fish, or salad. I highly recommend the Blockhaus restaurant.

A great restaurant with a leafy location and seating both inside and out. We really liked the decor. The menu isn't huge, but there's something for everyone. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality. Fresh from the kitchen, and despite the variety we ordered, all the meat was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious, the staff was very friendly, and enjoying the food in the evening sun amidst chirping birds was wonderful. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

A highly recommended restaurant. We dined there more than six times during our stay at the adjacent campsite. Every dish is unbeatable in taste, preparation, and presentation. Simply superb, and both the chef and waiter are naturally friendly and very courteous and helpful. The value for money is also unbeatable. Our conclusion: 5 stars is at least three stars too few.

We've been there several times over the last few years and have been absolutely thrilled every time. Somewhat remote, this restaurant is a real highlight. Lovingly decorated, comfortably furnished. The menu hangs in the form of blackboards above the chic wood-burning fireplace, which is also operated in cold months and thus adds a great atmosphere. The food was also 1A every time; you can help yourself to every dish at the salad buffet.

We were there with the family for Christmas. The food was absolutely delicious 😋, with special dishes for the kids. Homemade nuggets and fries. I would have loved to give everything 5 stars, but unfortunately, they didn't serve red wine!

The steaks and schnitzels there are now legendary. But the log cabin burger... 200 grams of the most tender dry aged beef medium rare, double cheddar and a burger sauce that comes from another universe, a.k.a. "Bacon Jam" Ingredients among others: Bacon, brown sugar, fried onions, the best Scotch whiskey, maple syrup, BBQ sauce, cranberries, extremely strong espresso (WTF?!) Plus a fresh tomato slice, ketchup, mayonnaise, lettuce and a very pleasantly al dente bun. Every single component gets its well-deserved place in the taste buds' keyboard. All the individual notes together create an incredible composition that takes the understanding of the taste of a burger to a completely new dimension. A previously unknown mixture of spicy, savory, sweet and creamy. And despite the striking bacon jam, the meat, whose texture makes the fluffy bun look like a hard roll, manages to present its unique, carnivulgar flavor as a special palate topping. The best thing: This burger is filling without bothering the connoisseur too much afterwards. Not least because of the premium beef and the bacon jam, which has been lovingly thickened in 2 hours, it is very digestible and there is no heavy stomach feeling or heartburn. It's been said many times, but this time I'm very serious: The best burger I've ever eaten 10 stars if possible!

We were in the log cabin last night and were absolutely impressed by the cozy atmosphere, the fireplace, small, pretty decorations and funny elements everywhere, furs on the benches... The Restored is meat-oriented. For our sake, the dish would also be offered vegetarian. The service was very attentive and friendly. Simply a successful location! Thanks!

A true-to-nature campsite with a spectacular top restaurant (wooden log cabin). If you want to stay overnight, this is the place for you. The kitchen and the service are really recommended. Everyone is waiting for you, dear staff. The operator is loving and always open-hearted.

Small, beautifully decorated restaurant located at the campsite. Decorated and furnished with attention to detail. Small, fine menu, something for everyone. Food is freshly prepared, you can hear the schnitzel knocking and therefore have to wait longer for the food. Clean toilets.

How to rate here, well. But “reviews are not checked,” it says above. We made reservations by phone and asked for information about veg. Food requested. Yes, you have vegetarian and vegan dishes there, no problem. On site we should find out more about the map by the fireplace. However, not a single vegetarian or vegan dish to be found. When I asked about a vegetarian dish, I was told that you could order potatoes and various side dishes. We were then reminded of our phone call and recommended a vegan burger with fries. Ok, ordered. I'll keep it short. Fries are fried to death (cannot be eaten with a fork, fly over the table), burger buns are cold and can hardly be cut with a knife and far too big for the pattie. The whole thing for 19.80 euros! Every street snack bar does this much better. We were here about 10 years ago and it was great. But today for the last time!!! The service was the very last!!!

Were here today for a birthday. Everything to our complete satisfaction. We were updated here today (June 14, 2024) from the club. My wife had the chicken with baked potatoes, I chose the rump steak. Both first class. Food and service was very good. Personally, I miss a small drinks menu at the table. Otherwise everything is highly recommended. Please keep it up. (Updated October 13th) I had dinner here with a good friend. As always, the food was great and the service was very good. Unfortunately, I'm still missing a small drinks menu at the table.

Schön gelegen und toll dekoriert.

Kleines liebevolles eingerichtetes Lokal im nordamerikanischen Stil. Familiäre Atmosphäre. Super für Menschen die sonst nur sitzen (Salatbuffett das im Winter natürlich etwas weniger frische Auswahl bietet, dafür kann man sich die Farbe der Schüssel aussuchen - super für kleine Salatmuffel:-). Pommes duften verführerisch und schmecken auch lecker. Außer dem Ketchup und der sehr liebevoll in den Aluminiumfolienschwan gehüllten Ofenkartoffel alles sehr nachhaltig (keine Getränke- oder Speisekarte sondern ein Herr den man fragen kann und natürlich die hübschen Tafeln am echten lodernden Kamin) bzw. ohne Umverpackung (selbst gemachte Kräuterbutter!). Regionale Mehrweg-Schorlen (Beckers Beste Rhabarber oder Apfel :-). Fazit: super geeignet für gestresste Büro-Menschen, Eltern die mal wieder mit Ihrem Teenager oder Partner sprechen möchten (kein Internet-Empfang:-) oder schwer verliebte DINKs (kleinen Ecktisch reservieren, pro Nase ca. 30,- rechnen u. damit dann zum jungen Mann an die Theke gehen). Und dann natürlich - im Sommer wiederkommen :-).
