I visited with my research team, and they recommended the grilled fish, which is only available in Erlagen! They also recommended the shoulder meat, which is only available at this restaurant. It was a little less fatty than the Haksen, and the portion was generous, so I highly recommend it :)

We were there with our colleagues. Unfortunately, we weren't satisfied with the food or the service. We wouldn't recommend it.

We had reserved lunch for 25 people at Ritter St. Georg as part of a funeral service. We were assigned the beautiful, large dining room just to the right of the entrance. There, we had plenty of space for the 25 people, and the remaining free tables in the room could be used for setting up the cake counter and coffee. The drinks were brought very quickly by the friendly waitress, and within a short time, each guest was served their ordered beverage without further ado. When we made the reservation, the manager offered to create a small menu from which guests could choose their lunch. To start, guests could order liver dumpling soup with omelet strips. The main course consisted of roast pork with cabbage and dumplings, beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage, Wiener schnitzel, and a rice curry as a vegetarian dish. Although the guests' choices were very varied, all the meals arrived at almost the same time. A big compliment to the organization and the kitchen here. I chose the beef roulade, which was beautifully served with red cabbage and two small dumplings. It tasted exquisite—well-filled with mustard, onions, gherkins, and a delicious, creamy sauce. Our guests also enjoyed the other dishes. We were very satisfied, and it was a beautiful conclusion to a funeral service. Many thanks again to Ms. Baum and her team.

On Thursday, October 9, 2025, we wanted our guest to try a Franconian carp. So we went to Ritter St. Georg, which is right next door to our restaurant and advertises carp. However, what we ordered and received as carp was neither appetizing nor enjoyable (old shoe sole). A delicious baked carp looks different. We received an old fish, probably reheated but already cold again. The trout Müllerin didn't look any better. And the service was neither understanding nor customer-oriented. Once and never again.

We and our dog felt very comfortable here for an overnight stay. The room was a bit older, but clean and comfortable. Parking was right outside.

The service seemed forcedly friendly; one of the two dishes was brought incorrectly (someone else brought it, and they seemed unsure), and we had to ask for a pair of cutlery a second time. The shoulder of pork, which elsewhere would be classified as "small," was quite hard on the outside but OK on the inside. The two mini dumplings that accompanied it were a bit bigger than a large scoop of ice cream, and the endive salad was drenched in oil. Nevertheless, the price of the main courses was quite steep; for the quality and size, at least the shoulder of pork was excessively expensive. Based on extensive experience and the opportunity to compare, I wouldn't recommend it.

I went there for dinner with a friend for the first time yesterday. The service was friendly, the ambiance was very nice and well-maintained, and both of our meals were excellent. Nothing to complain about! We'd love to come back soon.

Food available 24 hours a day, every day

We went to the restaurant on Friday to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The prices are outrageous considering the quality and portion sizes. What was truly insane was that the pepper cream sauce cost an extra €6.80, and it wasn't even enough for a coffee cup, and then we were mistakenly charged twice. The service also left a lot to be desired. The female colleague was very disrespectful to her male colleague and simply bossed him around with hissing noises. Unfortunately, our visit was a very bad experience, even though we've always been quite satisfied over the past few years.

I've never stayed overnight at the Ritter Sankt Georg, but we've always been thrilled with the food in the restaurant! Even without a reservation, we always got a nice seat, received very friendly and professional service, and the food was excellent. Even special requests were accommodated.

I'm only reviewing the restaurant here. Good Franconian cuisine, incredibly tasty. But the ambiance and the building look very inviting.

The house is located on a road with traffic signs, but you can't hear much of it from the rooms at the back. Our room was ideal for dogs, on the ground floor of the guesthouse on a quiet cycle path, with parking spaces right in front of the entrance. The service was very friendly. We really enjoyed the breakfast room and beer garden. The breakfast is good, and so is the kitchen. The house is clean and meticulously maintained; the flowerpots and beds are lovingly watered. We immediately felt at home and will be back the next time we visit our friends nearby!

Very tasty and would love to come back

I must issue a strong warning here! The room was absolutely disgusting. When I opened the window, a gust of wind blew two dead mosquitoes from a picture frame directly onto the pillows. The bathroom is completely moldy and dirty. The breakfast was a disaster. Some of the food served was out of date. We had actually booked two nights, but left after just one day due to the disastrous condition of the rooms and the poor breakfast. At checkout, we were told that the hotel unfortunately had to charge us for two nights, and only Booking.com could refund the second night. When we contacted Booking.com, they said the hotel had to refund the amount for the second night. However, the hotel declined Booking.com's request. Service was nonexistent.

We meet here every year for a meeting. The food is wonderful and always delivered at the same time. Of course, it gets more expensive every year, but the quality is good. Unfortunately, sitting outside is only possible in really nice weather, as otherwise the waiters, who unfortunately always seem stressed and annoyed, would have to sweat out in the cold (23°C). All in all, it's quite okay.

I highly recommend it. They serve delicious Franconian food. The beer garden, in particular, is very cozy. But the quality comes at a price.

Ordered a room with booking.com Our room was supposed to be a 3 person room ensuite. But upon arrival we noticed our room was just an open space. There was no door between the two beds. When I asked if this could be changed I was told there was a room available that had this door between the beds but we could not get it because my girlfriend had sat on the side of our bed, meaning it would be 'dirty' and there was no staff available to make the beds for the next guests, although there were more than enough beds available in our part of the hotel. Apart from the personnel at breakfast, the staff seemed uninteressed, passive and rude. After 6 hours of driving we expected some friendly people and good service. Unfortunately this was not the reality

Yes and no!!! The staff were very nice, and they responded immediately to a complaint about an apple spritzer. The food was very tasty, but I wouldn't recommend the homemade brawn. My husband ate that, and by the evening it started happening. He's been vomiting ever since! I think the brawn wasn't as fresh as it should have been.

Top fast, good and awesome portions

The room didn't match the pictures. The bathroom was dated, the shower fittings were incomplete. The bathroom fan was loud. The mattress was very soft and uneven. The service cannot be rated due to the short stay.

Subterranean. My stay from May 18th to 19th turned into a very negative and unforgettable experience due to a very annoying hotel escalation – I was slandered as a fraud by the hotel – due to a trivial matter that was not my fault. I had already inquired on May 15th whether I could plug my e-motorcycle into a household outlet and balance the batteries. This requires very little electricity and power (not comparable to charging an electric car). I received confirmation of my check-in time at 2 p.m. AND a text stating that "my request was possible and there are no additional costs." At check-in, the employee said that the kWh would cost 60 cents. I replied that I had confirmation from the hotel that the service was free of charge. He accepted. And, in response to my request to leave very early, he also offered to simply leave my key in the room the next morning. Online checkout the next morning wasn't possible because I was asked to pay again by credit card, but I had already paid in advance via booking.com. The online checkout invoice only included the hotel fee of €70.80 – nothing else. So I left the room locked and departed as suggested by the check-in clerk. I received three calls after leaving, but I couldn't answer the first one because I was riding my motorcycle. On the second call, a lady said I had used the charging station and hadn't paid the fees. I replied the same way I had to the check-in clerk above – she wanted to check with her boss. On the third call, the lady then said very brusquely that the statement about free check-in only applied to check-in at 2 p.m. Aha, in a hotel and restaurant with opening hours from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., check-in at 2 p.m. is "possible and free of charge"? That's a given! It also turned out that the hotel hadn't even responded to my request for a household socket, which I had made three days earlier. The lady then quickly said that if I didn't pay the €8 (i.e., the electricity costs alone were only about €3-4 at 60 cents/kWh), they would report me to Booking as a fraud. I became very angry, not only because of the slander, but also because they were trying to spread this slander, and I retorted quite loudly that she should leave me alone with her nonsense. However, I didn't insult me, as I was later accused of in the hotel's response to my Booking review. I then sent two complaint emails to the hotel very promptly on Monday, May 19th – one regarding the completely inappropriate slander as a fraud, and a second regarding the check-in employee's promises, after I realized the misunderstanding regarding the 2 p.m. check-in. I set Monday evening as the deadline for the hotel's requested apology. Since I received no response, I left the hotel a review on Booking around midnight, rating it "Extremely Bad." The hotel did, however, report me to Booking for "non-compliance with hotel policies" – also untrue. In any case, I couldn't find the charging prices either in the booking confirmation or on the website. Hence my request for a household socket three days earlier. And since I haven't received any response to my email complaints and apologies to date, my Booking.com rating of "Extremely Bad" has gone up to "Substandard" here in the Google review. I'm still extremely annoyed by the slander, but especially by the failure to follow up on my complaints. I have therefore also filed a complaint with Booking.com, who responded in an exemplary manner and have already apologized to me three times for my bad experience.

Very nice restaurant, the service was really great. Delicious food. We stayed overnight with our RV in the parking lot provided. It was an ideal stopover on our trip. When the weather's nice, the beer garden is definitely a great place to relax. Thank you very much.

We were there for over 2 days, the rooms are very large and because the guest house is separate from the inn they are really quiet. The guest house has its own breakfast room and the breakfast was very good. I ate there twice, the stuffed cordon bleu with cheese chanterelles filling was a bit dry, I didn't like it that much, but in the evening the Schäufele, really super good, I can only recommend it

I enjoy visiting the Ritter St. Georg restaurant and have already written a positive review about it. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is delicious. I've been coming here with my family and friends for three years now. However, there is one unpleasant moment for me. Every time we are served by a woman who has been working at this restaurant for quite some time and takes our order, she behaves very rudely, arrogantly, and acts as if she doesn't understand what we're saying, often interjecting "what" to show that I or my friends don't pronounce words well. Yes, I am a foreigner, but I would like to point out that I don't have such problems with other waiters at the Ritter St. Georg restaurant. This happened yesterday when I wanted to spend a pleasant evening with my husband and a friend. However, my positive impressions were tarnished. It gives me no pleasure to write about this situation. But unfortunately, I have experienced this behavior from this lady more than once. I don't beg for food, I pay for it. Well, there are many other restaurants in Erlangen that welcome guests.

We went there with 10 people on short notice and were lucky to get a table at 1pm shortly after Christmas. They still had all the nice decoration up in the several rooms. Our food arrived quickly and was excellent Franconia food.

Checked in advance if we could charge both our cars (party of 10 with 6 children) - this was no problem. However, upon arrival they turned out to have only one charger. We had to drive to the gas station and walk 2kms late at night to use the supercharger there. On top of this, our group of 10 was put in 2 different locations. We were told TWICE the location down the road had a 4p bedroom. The second half of the family, arriving late, found out there were only 3 beds, so we had to move one of the children across town late at night. We booked a 4p Suite and two 4p bedrooms for four, but were given two 2p bedrooms with a folding bed and one 4p room. On top of all this, we were rudely brushed off by the crew - and misinformed about the room down the road. All in all by far the worst stop-over in Germany we have ever had. Unwelcoming, rude, incomplete information… never again.

I was only there for dinner. It was a kind of team event. However, I have been a frequent guest before. This time there was a Schäuferle and some pretty good beer. The Schäuferle was absolutely wonderful. Tender meat and a fantastic crust! The colleagues were also quite impressed with their meals. Can only fully recommend it!

I took part in a conference at the inn. Our laptop didn't work and was promptly replaced with that of the friendly and courteous hostess/owner. Communication and hospitality great!

First the good stuff: The young gentleman at the counter was very friendly and accompanied us to the house (which was 200m further away) and showed us the room. The room is furnished in a very rustic style and that matches the outside cladding and the rest of the house but is otherwise clean. The connection to public transport is also good, as the bus stop is not far away. Now for the negative things: We had specifically looked for a hotel with a parking space via Booking.com, but due to a construction site there are few parking spaces directly in front of the hotel, which were almost all occupied when we visited. In the end it wasn't of any use to us anyway, as we were accommodated in the house further away and you somehow have to park on the street (between the no-parking period from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the no-parking ban in Wendehammer and all the courtyard entrances). In addition, it was difficult to find the entrance to the main building at first because the sign pointing the way off the street was only visible from one side.

Well the food wasn't anything special. Fried potatoes looked like normal potatoes and the €2 extra charge was outrageous. So I don't go here anymore. Because the prices are not exactly cheap. No second chances 👎👎👎👎👎👎

I stayed there overnight after the Nuremberg trade fair including dinner and breakfast... The service was very good and friendly. The room was clean and okay. The dinner was very tasty. At breakfast you have to make compromises because the rolls don't really seem fresh... But I would stay there again...

We had a few days in Erlangen again. We ate twice at the Gasthof Ritter Sankt Georg. I ate Schäufele twice. Absolutely recommended. The service is good and the restaurant is nicely decorated. We'd love to come back.

We were looking forward to a great Sunday dinner. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The service was very good, but the food was not. A burger with fries for 18 euros and then you get meat and rolls from the freezer and tons of rocket on the burger. Very disappointing. The other meals, a sauerbraten and loos with gravy, were acceptable. The dessert, Apfelkückle, was also frozen and then simply fried. Dark on the outside, lukewarm on the inside. We're definitely not coming back!

We were there for a family reunion. Unfortunately there were no more rooms available at the time, so no rating was possible. The atmosphere in the inn itself is very tastefully and comfortably furnished. Very clean toilets, which are in the basement. A problem for wheelchair users and people with walking difficulties. But maybe there is another disabled access to the toilets... The food was very tasty. Come again

Already the second visit here. After the first visit, I wanted to give the inn another chance. Unfortunately, I left here even more disappointed than my first visit Room: Overall disappointing! Old furniture, the bathroom from the 70s. Mattresses are extremely hard. 17" TV from 2002 with a total of 3 channels. Long-term construction site right on the doorstep. At least the rooms are clean. Corridor: At night you have to take a flashlight with you as there are no motion sensors and the light switches are only at the exits. WiFi: unstable!! Breakfast: Small selection, the same every day, the coffee can also be called "water with taste". You can't get the coffee yourself, you have to wait until one of the staff notices that you've been sitting at the table for 20 minutes. For whatever reason, there are no forks for breakfast, just a butter knife. At first I thought it was an accident but I had breakfast 4 times and the same thing 4 times. Operation: 2/5 Conclusion: For the price-performance ratio, I prefer to sleep in a youth hostel and save 60% of the costs.

We were with a group in the beer garden. We had to wait over an hour for the food. When it finally came, it was almost dark and the lighting at the table was very poor. This made it very difficult to eat the carp. It's a shame, we were looking forward to the evening.

But as I said, we were there to eat Mother-in-law's fish was completely overcooked, as were the boiled potatoes and the lettuce leaves, which were supposed to be a side salad, were without any dressing... like it would ruin the place….. The spinach was a lump of frozen goods Pork medallions 3 MinniMinniMinni pieces, dry and I'm still looking for the mushrooms since yesterday, Only the Duchess potatoes were great... Guys, a salad side dish should be dressed and 3 shriveled lettuce leaves, that's not even decoration, that's it CUSTOMER FOOLING Oh one more thing, fill up your salt shakers…. 1 napkin for 3 people is at least 2 too few... DEVINITIVELY OUR LAST VISIT, my last review was great, this one deserves an underground rating

We ate in the garden and not in the hotel! Unfortunately, the waitresses were very annoyed and we felt this very clearly. Our turkey schnitzel was not only "children's portion" but also overpriced for the taste. We were recommended it by friends... maybe it was just a bad day... but the customer can't do anything about it... no Too bad

After the bike ride I had an appetite for a Schäuferla. Although I have lived in Bruck for a long time, I wanted to visit the restaurant. The reception wasn't unfriendly: I wasn't allowed to take my bike into the beer garden and could only park it against the outside wall inside. Well, at least in view, because there is no lock on the gravel (racing) bike. For me, as the owner of a not-so-cheap racing bike, eye contact with the bike is the deciding factor as to whether I stay there. The service by the same lady was quick and decisive. After the prescribed inspection of the menu, I ordered the Schäuferle. The rind was pleasantly brittle/crispy, which isn't always the case elsewhere. But the temperature shouldn't have been lower. After all, food gets cold faster outdoors. But it just worked. Taste: Schäuferla and sauce didn't have a very strong taste, but were quite good. The dumplings were as I expected - good too. All in all: I would order the Schäuferle there again - with the note: Please be a little warmer.

There were four of us in the beer garden and we had reserved in advance. The space was good, the service was quick and friendly. But that was it then... I had a schnitzel with fries: schnitzel from the frozen food chest, fries not fresh. And that for over €15 is almost outrageous. The meat was pressed meat, the breading was sticky and 1000% not homemade. It's quite an achievement to make fries so bad. Only lukewarm, lightly seasoned and limp. It felt like they were kept warm. Then we had a lumberjack steak. This was almost impossible to cut with the lousy knives, the meat itself was incredibly streaky and tough. The rest was fine. The beef roulades, on the other hand, were good, there was nothing to complain about. The salad was also OK. But that doesn't take away the bad schnitzel and the tough steak. No recommendation.
