More than 1 hour of waiting, they had almost nothing that was on the menu and the pasta with tomato sauce was oily and didn't taste good.

The guest room itself makes a good impression. The quality of the food offered could be better. We had salmon with pasta, which unfortunately was only served lukewarm. Prices are not appropriate for the quality of the food.

Food was super tasty and the prices are completely acceptable. The lady at the counter and in the kitchen was super friendly. The view and atmosphere are really great. We'll be back!!!

Very nice view and pleasant atmosphere. Regarding the service: out of 4 drinks, which only differed between large and small, one drink was incorrect, even though it was written down, but it was correct on the bill. One of the 4 meals was forgotten, but it came quickly because everything probably came from the deep fryer. Schnitzel with mushrooms 18.50 euros, is actually ok if it is fresh and complete. Since I didn't like mushrooms, I paid 18.50 euros for the schnitzel and side dish. Conclusion: For the nice service, unfortunately too expensive overall and not for us again.

I'm referring to the kiosk under the restaurant: very high prices with low quality and unfriendly service, who apparently doesn't even know the words please and thank you = overall bordering on being rude PS: The range is extremely small, at least in the off-season.

The name Experience Gastronomy takes on a new meaning!!!!!!!!!! We were literally driven away by the extremely unfriendly staff, as well as the other guests behind us. This is a generation that “has no desire to work” but has a big mouth. I hope that this staff will be replaced. If you don't know who brings your wages, you shouldn't get one. One at the checkout and the rest look and complain at the guests.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Bergzoo restaurant was a disappointment. Tables were untidy, both outside and inside. The service was unmotivated, very slow and ate behind the counter instead of clearing the abandoned tables. When paying, the waitress spoke with her mouth full, which is extremely unprofessional. Beforehand, she said to her colleague with a smile: “I’m not made for stress.” Apart from the poor service, the offer was also very sad. In fact, you're better off buying a meal and drinks at the snack bar downstairs. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Bergzoo restaurant.

Today we ordered brunch for 12 people and reserved seats. When we arrived at 11am our order was completely unknown. OK, no problem, the tables were pushed together accordingly. There was no one else there anyway. The breakfast buffet looked sad. Curled sausage and cheese in a tiny amount. Scrambled eggs that the sun had been baking for some time and butter that had also been left in the sun and melting. Why didn't the staff see this? Btw., today was the hottest day of the year so far. The micro rolls also matched the tiny offering. OK, everyone had a quick meal and then arranged to go to the lunch buffet, which was to be served at 12 p.m. Our second visit was at 1 p.m. Here we had: pre-breaded chicken schnitzel, two types of pre-breaded fish, completely dry fried potatoes and spirelli with so-called Bolognese. Everything was industrially pre-produced, which was probably warmed up a bit in the oven. I don't have to say any more about what the breading tastes or looks like when prepared this way. There was also so-called potato salad, which was simply swimming in mayo. Where did they get this cheap garbage from? There were no vegetables of any kind. There was also some sliced ​​fruit and tomato/mozzarella, which was probably homemade. Conclusion: Cheapest food that not even any company canteen would offer. It's absolutely unbelievable. The pictures on the internet that suggest great food are just a lie. The operator also charges €30 per person for all the rubbish. If you really like it, you should buy a currywurst and beer at the snack bar and then leave quickly.

So charging such prices for food is the bottom drawer. The pasta with tomato sauce only tastes like water, the fries look good on the outside but are not cooked through at all, currywurst tastes nothing like currywurst. It's a shame about the long wait and the money.

Sorry, but the fries with currywurst were totally over salted, making them inedible for the children and us adults. A real shame for an otherwise wonderful visit to the zoo. 4 portions for over 30 euros had to go completely in the trash. The crepe stand was great.

I would like to describe our short-term visit to the restaurant with light and shadow. The staff was very friendly. What we saw was everything clean and tidy. OK, almost everything. The glass front to the playground was largely smeared from the inside. I then looked at the other pages - clean. Should this all be in one day? The menu is very clear, but our thought was "it's better to have a small selection and good quality than a lot of selection and mass-produced goods". Two schnitzels were ordered. The special side dish request (fries instead of fried potatoes) was forgotten but was corrected free of charge upon request. Drinks and food came quickly and were presented very attractively, the glasses were clean. The salad was fresh, the fries were crispy, the mushrooms were tasty and the fried potatoes were on point and not too greasy and the portion size was also good and filled you up. So far so good. The schnitzels looked crispy golden brown. But only from above... below they were largely black... on all three. With what feels like the “core product” of the card, sorry, but that shouldn’t happen there. We cannot judge whether it would have been corrected. Since we still had an appointment, we quickly ate the schnitzel without the breading, as waiting again would definitely have exceeded our time frame. The ambience is modern and harmoniously furnished. Whether you like it is subjective. For our taste, it breaks with the "design" of the rest of the zoo and created an expectation when we walked in that the menu couldn't contain. Price wise... We like to go to restaurants relatively often. If we classify this with drinks and food and take out the zoo location, we found it to be expensive. Compared to other restaurants in zoos or animal parks we visited, it's about on the same level... that doesn't make it cheaper, but we had already expected that price even before we saw the menu.

€4 for a 0.5l water bottle, which you have to wait 20 minutes for. Snack catering chaotically organized, the food on offer from the last century. Not recommended 😕

There is no training for employees, you are shouted at unnecessarily for things that you don't know as a beginner, we are given credit for a break even though you weren't allowed/couldn't take one, and generally little structure. Stress is dealt with by yelling at employees and customers, as management takes out their frustration on part-time employees. So definitely not recommended for employees or mini-jobbers. But the quality of the food and hygiene are also severely lacking. After this experience as a mini-jobber, I wouldn't eat here myself and certainly wouldn't recommend working. It's a shame that you have to give at least one star.

The restaurant is an eyesore on the otherwise beautiful mountain zoo. Unprofessional. Unclean. Inflexible. The foreign assistants in the restaurant hardly speak German or don't want to. You can still pick up the food from the previous day under the tables when the restaurant opens shortly after 11 a.m. Dust and dirt as far as the eye can see. Just don't let your small children crawl around on the floor. Windows so smeared that you can hardly see out. The elevator disgusting. Nobody cares about criticism... It's a real shame about the beautiful restaurant

The mountain zoo has been a favorite place for me since I was a child. ❤️ We ate very well on the mountain terraces. 😋 Anytime again.

We were there at 3:30 p.m. and wanted warm drinks. Of the 6 employees, 5 had already “cleaned” only one employee worked the cash register and had to do everything alone. The rest were upset about the upcoming guests... Unacceptable for guests!!! Update since photos: with time (I took it after waiting for more than half an hour and my wife was still standing in the same place in line)

On the occasion of the World of Lights, which we visited on February 1st, 2024, we reserved a table in the mountain terraces. The reservation in advance was friendly and uncomplicated. We were really looking forward to visiting the restaurant, but we were even more disappointed. As soon as she entered the mountain terraces, our friend was loudly and rudely advised by the service person behind the counter to take a different route and not to squeeze past a table, in front of the other guests, mind you. The service was unfriendly and incompetent. Drinks were carried in hand and some spilled. Our grandson's kibaglas was smeared. We then cleaned it with our tissues. The price/performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired. A tiny frozen schnitzel with a tiny portion of fried potatoes costs €16.50. Not convincing in terms of taste. Letscho side dish for €2 is a joke. The flavor of the spiced meat was okay, only half the portion that was later delivered to our table. We paid €4.80 for a 0.5 liter glass of tap water. In other restaurants you get tap water for free. The advertised ambience also scored less; in the evenings, with full ceiling lighting, it was more reminiscent of a train station hall. Conclusion for us: never again

We wanted to get something to eat in the restaurant at 2:50 p.m. It doesn't close until 4 p.m. There was no kitchen anymore. The staff said they had an event the next day and therefore no kitchen. At the bottom of the stairs is open. You didn't have time to write it down yet that you no longer have a kitchen with more than an hour to go. This is absolutely incomprehensible!!!! Honestly. Not like that!! If you don't feel like serving guests, you should write to them straight away!!!

We had ordered spicy chicken with mushrooms, but the meat was completely missing. The food selection is also very poor. It's a shame because the view is very nice.

Long wait! There were 2 orders in front of us that weren't large, and we waited 20-30 minutes for currywurst with fries and a bratwurst in a bun. Our friends had to wait another 10-15 minutes for their currywurst with fries, even though they ordered directly after us. The bratwurst was dripping with fat and lukewarm. The fries were so crispy that you could only taste the fryer - only the currywurst was okay. The ambience is okay for the light show, but seems a bit dreary without it. The cutlery and sauces were not around the corner as stated on the signs but had to be asked for - and then a sauce was forgotten. Instead of a fork there was a wooden skewer. One of the skewers was completely blunt after just a few fries!

We made a “quick” stop to wait out the rain. Our table was still full of empty dishes. After about 20 minutes someone came and asked us if we wanted to eat something else, and we didn't even have anything to drink. The waiter wanted to send his colleague over, they both seemed very stressed and were also "running" around, although there were around 15-20 tables. After we looked puzzled, we placed the order and waited another 25 minutes when we decided to cancel the order because it was just taking too long for us and that for a schnitzel and a tarte flambée, which wouldn't have been exactly cheap. When we paid, the food arrived, but we refused because we were extremely annoyed. The waiter also had to organize new change for 5 minutes. All in all the restaurant was a real disappointment.

The restaurant is located almost at the top of the Bergzoo and offers an extravagant ambience. It is small and is very suitable for smaller family or company celebrations. The simple cuisine is lovingly prepared and professionally served, but that doesn't make it a restaurant, but a touch of exclusivity can be felt.

I have never had a worse cappuccino. And that for almost 4 euros, then straight out of the machine. Outrageous. It was actually a watery coffee with some milk that tasted terrible. Price too high - performance virtually non-existent. I do not rate food or other drinks here.

Wir hatten im August 2023 eine Familienfeier mit 40 Personen im Restaurant. Alle Gäste waren begeistert. Es passte alles; Organisation, Service und Ambiente 😊… vielen Dank an alle Servicekräfte, die diesen unvergesslichen Abend ermöglicht haben 😊

Zwiebeln verkohlt , zu kleine Portion für den Preis, zu kalt im Restaurant ca. 15 bis 17 Grad bei einer Außentemperatur von 19 Grad

Mir persönlich gefällt es dort sehr gut, das Essen war sehr lecker, rundum zufrieden.

Das Essen ist ok., so man denn was bekommt. Wir hatten Burger bestellt, wurde am Funkgerät von dem Mädel an der Kasse auch "bestellt". Ausserdem Kartoffelpuffer, was auch laut in die Küche weitergegeben wurde. Dann bezahlen und zum nächsten Fenster. Da dann Chaos, da zu viele Bestellungen auf einmal ankamen. Ein älterer Herr hat mit übelster Laune rumgemosert, dass niemand Bescheid sagen würde. Alle anderen und das war nicht wenig Personal haben ihn angesehen und scheinbar gehofft, nix abzubekommen. Am Ende wurde dann erst angefangen die Bestellung abzuarbeiten, was dann auch entsprechend lange gedauert hat. Wie so oft das Angebot nicht schlecht, der Geschmack auch ok., aber der Service lausig. Ich bewerte hier nicht das Restaurant oben, sondern den Kiosk unten. Ach ja, die Getränkepreise sind nicht angemessen und für einen abgestandenen Kaffee sogar unverschämt.

Als Hallenser ist der Blick über meine Heimatstadt jedes Mal ein kleiner Urlaub. Wirklich unvergleichlich, über welcher Kulisse man dort essen kann. Die Teller sind wirklich voll und es schmeckt immer wieder super lecker. Aus bester Erfahrung kann ich dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen. Hin und wieder wird es auch mal hektisch, wenn man nicht reserviert hat, aber dann gilt einfach Ruhe bewahren. :) Es ist nicht gestattet, Essen von außerhalb oder vom Imbiss im Restaurant zu verzehren, aber der Imbissbereich hat ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten.

Ein großes Lob für die sehr zuvorkommende und freundliche Art. Die übersichtliche Karte empfand ich als großen Plus-Punkt, da sie für mich Qualität statt Quantität bedeutet. Preise gehen absolut in Ordnung und die Aussicht war während der Lichterwelten atemberaubend.

Ich war gestern im Restaurant im Zoo Halle. Ich war im oberen Bereich. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir hatten Salat mit Hühnchen gegessen, was sehr zum Empfehlen ist. Das Wetter war schön, dass Essen war gut und Preis/Leistung stimmt auch. Ich kann keinen Grund zum Klagen finden. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Sonntags zu. Kiosk drei Bedienungen, zwei genervt und gelangweilt. Currywurst mit Pommes und nen Softdrink 12€ etwas übertrieben, zumal die Currywurst nach Fertigprodukt schmeckte. Die Pommes waren gut

Wir waren hier im Dezember anlässlich der Lichterwelten. Wir sind spontan hier essen gewesen, Plätze waren ausreichend vorhanden, da man ja auch nicht so lange sitzt. Das Ambiente ist super schön und irgendwie modern-rustikal. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und schnell. Einzig was mir nicht gefiel, war das man am Tresen bestellen musste. Da muss man sich bei 6 Personen aufwärst alles gut merken können, wenn nicht der ganze Tisch am Tresen stehen will. Das dort auch direkt bezahlt wurde, fand ich gut. So konnte man gehen, wenn man fertig war. Das Essen war sehr lecker und eine schöne kleine Auswahl. Ich fand es sehr passend zum Abend und für einen Zoobesuch, bei dem man nicht Bratwurst in der Kälte draußen aus der Hand essen möchte, aber auch keine Zeit für ein 3-Gänge-Menü hat. Ich kann das Restaurant sehr gerne weiterempfehlen, auch für Kleinkinder geeignet. 👍👍

Trotz das wir nicht reserviert hatten und 8 Personen waren, wurde uns trotzdem ein Tisch für 1 Stunde organisiert (aufgrund der Lichterwelten war alles reserviert und der Zoo sehr gut besucht). Was soll ich sagen......Super freundlicher Service, leckeres Essen, kleine aber feine Speisekarte, super Preis Leistungsverhältniss. Für eine Zoogastronomie einsame Spitze. Da haben wir in anderen Zoo's schon deutlich schlechter und teurer gegessen. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder und reservieren das nächste Mal zur Sicherheit

Am 28. Dezember habe ich das Restaurant im Bergzoo besucht. Lange Wartezeit bis die Bedienung kam. Es war nur ein Kellner zu sehen und er musste auch noch zapfen. Wir hatten Fisch, Würzfleisch und Pommes mit Nuggets. Fisch sowie Pommes mit Nuggets waren gut. Das Würzfleisch ungenießbar. Es schmeckte richtig eklig und überhaupt nicht so wie man Würzfleisch kennt.

Sehr lecker und preislich voll in Ordnung. Und kinder sind such kein Problem

Tolles Restaurant mit wunderbarer Aussicht über Halle. Sehr sehr nette, zuvorkommende Bedienung. Schnelle Zubereitung der Gerichte, schön angerichtet. Einen Besuch auf alle Fälle wert!!

Schönes kleines Restaurant im Zoo mit großartigem Blick über Halle. Ein überschaubares Menü, bei dem aber jeder etwas für sich findet. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und sympathisch. So gut und sorgfältig wird man selten in manchen Sterne-Restaurants bedient. Man merkt mit wie viel Herzblut und Freude die Gäste bedient werden. Ein toller Ort, um beim Zoobesuch sich in Ruhe zu erholen und in einer angenehmen Atmosphäre neue Kraft zu tanken.

Eine überschaubare Speisekarte, wo man trotz allem auf jeden Fall fündig wird. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal und die Zubereitungszeit war auch völlig in Ordnung. Ein Besuch ist es definitiv Wert.

Einfach nur perfekt. Wir haben als Familie schon in einigen Zoos gegessen, aber hier war es bis jetzt am besten. Nette Bedienung, moderate Preise und ein schönes Ambiente. Das Essen hat natürlich auch super geschmeckt und es findet sich für jede Geschmacksrichtung das Beste. Ein Stammgast darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen. Kater Garfield hat im Zoo ein liebevolles Zuhause gefunden und lässt sich dort gerne verwöhnen...

Im Oberen Teil hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick. Es ist eine kleinere Karte. Das Essen war sehr lecker und preislich ok. Hübsch angerichtet und Portion sehr gut. Wir hatten den Lachs mit Nudeln. Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich... Super !

Ich finde den Zoo wunderschön ich bin mit meinen Kindern sehr oft dort und diesmal mussten wir uns was zu essen kaufen. Was mir nicht nochmals passieren wird. Ich finde es fürchterlich, wenn im bedienen Bereich fünf Personen rumstehen und ein Lappen einfach über die Fritteuse wischen und so tun, als hätten sie was zu tun. Und draußen wird die Schlange immer länger. Und wenn man was sagt, heißt es wir bereiten uns auf dem Feierabend vor in anderthalb Stunden. Im kompletten Restaurant Bereich im Freisitz lag der Müll rum und keiner fühlte sich dafür verantwortlich mal etwas wegzuräumen.

Wunderschöne Einschulung unseres Enkelsohnes. Nette Bedienung, lecker Essen, super Lokalität.

Essen schmeckt, sehr schön gelegen. Wartezeiten können je nach aufkommen schon einmal etwas länger werden.

Das Restaurant ist schön gelegen und hübsch gestaltet. Leider war der Service eine Katastrophe - über eine Stunde aufs Essen gewartet und dann für eine Portion billigster und ekelhafter Nudeln mit Ketchup (!) 6,90 Euro bezahlt. Der Kaiserschmarren war auch kein Highlight. Keine Kindergerichte. Es war schwer, einen sauberen Tisch zu finden, da nirgendwo abgeräumt und gereinigt worden war. Die Bedienung war allerdings sehr nett und hat unserem Kleinen zur Überbrückung ein Eis geschenkt. Wir gehen nie wieder hin.
