RESTAURANT Bei SIBO in Mönchengladbach

Wir waren bereits drei Mal bei Sibo essen. Einmal vor Ort im Restaurant und zwei Mal "takeaway". Obwohl die meisten Rheindahlener eher skeptisch reagieren wenn man von "Sibo" erzählt, können wir nur Gutes über das Restaurant und den Betreiber berichten. Das Essen hat jedes Mal hervorragend geschmeckt. Abgesehen davon haben uns seine Freundlichkeit, seine Herzlichkeit und seine pragmatischen Ideen jedes Mal begeistert. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Sehr leckeres Essen Nette Gastgeber, fantastisches Hacksteak

Das Ambiente ist etwas altbacken, aber das Essen ist sehr gut. Wir hatten den Grillteller und Zigeunerschnitzel. Das Fleisch auf dem Grillteller war sehr gut zubereitet und die hausgemachte Zigeunersauce fand meine Frau außergewöhnlich lecker. Die Preise sind angemessen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und nach dem Bezahlen hatten wir noch ein nettes Gespräch mit dem Inhaber am Tresen.

Ein sehr freundliches und barrierefreies Restaurant, in dem man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen fühlt. Sibo und seine Frau haben uns herzlich empfangen und aufmerksam bedient. Obwohl es unser erster Besuch war, hatten wir sofort das Gefühl, schon seit Jahren Stammgäste zu sein. Wir hatten zweimal den Grillteller – unbedingt mit der zusätzlichen Zigeunersauce bestellen, sie ist wirklich köstlich – sowie einmal das Rotbarschfilet. Das Fleisch war perfekt auf den Punkt gegrillt und sehr lecker, der Fisch hervorragend zubereitet und ebenfalls äußerst schmackhaft. Ein rundum gelungener Besuch. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir waren heute das erste mal diesem Restaurant und wurden Sehr nett und freundlich begrüßt. Die Auswahl der Gerichte auf der Speisekarte war groß. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und sehr frisch zubereitet. Die Qualität des Essens war wirklich sehr gut. Man merkt das hier das Essen mit Liebe zubereitet wird. Man erkennt hier die langjährige Erfahrung des Gastwirtes.Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es nur weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren am Sonntag das erste Mal dort. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und das Essen war viel und lecker. Die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung und somit nicht überteuert. Das Einzige was ich ein wenig zu beanstanden habe ist folgendes:Da das Auge ja bekanntlich mit isst, sollte man die Mayo und den Ketchup portionsweise in kleine Schälchen servieren anstatt in Flaschen. Das soll nur eine Anregung sein! Ansonsten kann ich nur schreiben, dass es sich lohnt dort essen zu gehen und wir werden bestimmt wieder vorbeischauen. Liebe Grüße Petra&Karin

A very nice, cozy restaurant. Everything is just right here. The service is more than friendly and very attentive. The selection of dishes is excellent and, especially worth mentioning, quite reasonable. The food arrived very quickly and was outstanding – I've rarely eaten so well. It was recommended to me. I called to find out what kind of cuisine they served: Greek, Yugoslavian, or something else. The gentleman on the phone quickly got through to me. I don't see friendliness as something special.

We visited Sibo's with a birthday party. Everything was fantastic! The food was amazing, the service was absolutely first-class, and it was an all-around wonderful evening. Everyone was thrilled. A huge thank you to Sibo, Binasa, and the entire team.

Four of us went there today with our gift card. The service was super friendly and accommodating. You immediately feel comfortable and in good hands. The menu is extensive, and the portions are quite large and delicious. A free shot of schnapps was also included, of course. All in all, a lovely evening. We were here for lunch today, 2/5/25. The food was delicious, FRESHLY prepared and more than enough. The restaurant is not that modern...but very clean! The landlord was very friendly and accommodating. Gladly again !

First something positive. We enjoyed the food very much and was served hot. Side salad was a bit poor. Now for the not so good stuff. We were there with the voucher book. At first everything seemed okay after we mentioned that we had a voucher book. However, everything took a long time, from the drinks to the food. It was very clear that regular guests were given much preference and we were completely ignored and no longer asked for drinks, just scurried past. In addition, everyone got a nightcap, except us. Besides, there were four of us. Then we got tired of it and wanted the bill. Cash only!!!! Where else is that? Not a kind word. Just a hint as to whether we have the New or Old Book? When we asked why, we only got the answer: I would see it then. Well, it's a shame because the food was very tasty. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Very tasty food - friendly owner family!

Unfortunately I can only rate the service/friendliness... My wife and I wanted to reserve a table for 8 p.m. today (Friday). On the website and here on Google it says that it is open until 10 p.m. There is nothing about kitchen times. Nevertheless, it would have been completely okay to say that the kitchen unfortunately closes earlier and therefore 8 p.m. is too late. Absolutely okay! However, the telephone contact was very unfriendly. It was said briefly and rudely that there would be no more food at 8 p.m. When I kindly pointed out that that would be okay and that I only called because the opening hours were 10 p.m., I was just as rudely replied that "you still want to live"... Honestly. I politely asked for a reservation. I wasn't there and didn't insist on being served at 8 p.m. I can only confirm the existing review here, where at 7:20 p.m. they said very unkindly “there is nothing left to eat”. We would have really liked to go here, especially since things seem to be different based on the other reviews. If not today, then when. But not anymore...

Today, Sunday, around 7:20 p.m., we were turned away curtly and curtly by a very unfriendly innkeeper with the words 'There's nothing left to eat'. I therefore cannot understand the many positive reviews. I would prefer to give 0 stars, which is unfortunately not possible. Absolutely NOT recommended.

We became aware of the restaurant through a voucher and spontaneously paid a visit. It is located near the market square, right in the heart of Rheindahlen. The operators are very friendly and were still available for a chat when we said goodbye and were very interested in our opinion. The orders were processed quickly and the food came to the table quickly. Everything looks a bit more rustic, you could see convenience products here and there, but the taste was delicious, especially the meat. You get what you expect. Actually even more! Because every piece of meat we had on our plates was not only perfectly fried, but also absolutely tender across the board. So really good quality, both in the meat and in the way it is prepared. We were pleasantly surprised and would like to try other things from the menu in the future.

Went to the restaurant at Sibo today with our gourmet block What can I say...it was very, very tasty Whether the grill plate with fried potatoes or the pork fillet in a spicy sauce with rice. Even the salad was well prepared (which the boss forgot to calculate 😉)

I am describing my personal experience here. Landlady friendly, menu was on average 4 euros more expensive than the menu on the website. The meat on the grill plate had no grill, no roasted aromas, hardly any seasoning, the clear meat juice was still running out. The minced steak was made from minced chicken, which was not specified on the menu. Some of the fries were fried for the second time. The whole thing was carelessly piled onto the plate. No decoration, no tomatoes, not even a crumb of parsley. The landlord reacted completely unprofessionally to my comment that I didn't like it, he was just insulted, asked me stupid questions, said I was wrong with him and that he was something special. Okay, done, we're never going there again. And it wasn't comfortable either.

Der Wirt hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und war den ganzen Aufenthalt super zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker, gut gewürzt und wurde richtig heiß serviert. Da wir alle keinen großen Hunger hatten, war es auch kein Problem die "Reste" mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Alles in allem war es einen Zwischenstopp wert und wenn man mal wieder in der Nähe ist kommen wir auch gerne wieder!

wir wurden dort sehr herzlich empfangen. Was sofort aufgefallen ist, es ist dort sehr sauber drinnen so wie im außenbereich alles sehr gepflegt! der Service war äußerst nett. das Essen war Top und die Portionen sehr gut! Im gesamten ein sehr empfehlenswerter Laden wo ich definitiv wieder hingehe!

Vielleicht war es der falsche Zeitpunkt. Eine Mittagsrunde aus ca. 12 Senioren wurden bewirtet, sonst waren nur meine Frau und ich da. Es störte der permanente Lärm aus der Küche, offensichtlich gab es dort Unstimmigkeiten. Wir bestellten Rotbarschfilet und den Sibo-Teller. Fazit: die Lebensmittel hatten eine gute Qualität, leider kam der Fisch matschig in einer Fett triefenden Panade und statt der Rösti kamen sogenannte Bratkartoffeln. Es waren allerdings scharf angebratene frische Salzkartoffeln. Der Wirt zeigte sich einsichtig und freundlich und spendierte noch 2 Espresso.

Ein sehr familiär geführtes Restaurant. Liebevoller Umgang mit den Gästen. Ich komme hier immer mit meinem Vater hin. Meist am letzten Spieltag von Borussia Mönchengladbach. Aber auch gerne einfach mal so. Selbst mein Onkel vor 20 Jahren ist gerne her gekommen. Gleicher Inhaber heute wie damals. Einfach toll. Das Essen schmeckt einfach Klasse 😋. Alles sehr zu empfehlen.
