Hotel Restaurant Schürken's in Mönchengladbach

We stayed and ate at Schürkens for one night for a medical examination. The room was very clean and well furnished. The restaurant had a very friendly owner and attentive service. Regular prices. We'll definitely be back.

Owner very nice and helpful. The restaurant makes a very good and inviting impression. Unfortunately, our hotel room was a bit "tired" (old and partly broken furniture) and very noisy from the restaurant even after 10 p.m. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the hotel for people who are sensitive to noise. WiFi is available and works well. The photos on the internet are very flattering. The area there is very nice and seems quite familiar.

The review concerns the restaurant; There was no overnight stay on my part. Nostalgia had taken me from Cologne to Mönchengladbach; The house belonged to my great-aunt in the 1970s, and I spent a lot of time there as a child when we visited there. So it was nice to remember the times when I was running around in the driveway. Although the entire furnishings have been (tastefully!) spruced up in the meantime, the counter is still where it was back then. A wonderful piece of continuity. So it's no surprise that I was happy to take the opportunity to shed some light on these truly ancient times with today's innkeepers. That made me happy! To eat: The menu cleverly combines down-to-earth cuisine with Indian and Ceylonese dishes. I spontaneously decided on the Ranger Steak and didn't regret that decision. Juicy, high-quality beef with crispy French fries and a delicious sauce with fresh peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms. My best steak in a long time! Courteous service, pleasant conversations and great hospitality rounded off my stay. So I would like to take the time to visit again. Greetings from Cologne!

We had dinner in the restaurant. There is a mix of a good middle-class atmosphere with a bar and classic furnishings combined with Asian influences. Everything is pretty colorful. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The dishes are also a cultural mix of Germany, Italy and Asia. The curry was fantastically tasty. Price-performance is right.

The rooms are spacious. The standard is rather simple. The mattresses were no longer good. The heating is automatically reduced. The blanket was too thin, so I froze and luckily found another uncovered blanket in the closet. The door closers didn't work reliably either. Luckily the innkeeper was very committed and helped me. The food in the restaurant was good.

Sehr netter, liebevoller Empfang es ist als würde man sich schon 10 Jahre kennen. Es ist alles sauber, ordentlich und gepflegt. Essen sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Gastgeber haben außerdem einen super lieben Golden Retriever. Einziger Kritikpunkt: nur ein vegetarisches Gericht auf der Karte.

Zum Restaurant: Schmackhafte Speisen zu moderaten Preisen. Gemütliches Ambiente und freundliche Bedienung. Es passt alles. Gerne wieder.

Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend und das auf eine unverstellte lockere Art. Das Essen ist große Klasse, selten so gut gegessen. Als wird frisch und mit Herz zubereitet. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Bett bequem. Alles in allem nur empfehlenswert! PS: die BBQ Sauce ist der Wahnsinn.

Muttertagsessen... alle drei Teller sind wie immer LEER. Wir sind schon seit einigen Jahre Stammgäste...hier schmeckt einfach alles...und übrigens wird Kritik wenn nötig angenommen sowie Änderungen der Speisen aufgrund z. B. ALLERGIEN.

Großartige Mischung aus indischer und deutscher Küche, verbunden mit sehr freundlichem Service! Wir kommen immer wieder gern dorthin!

Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es war sauber und die Dusche war sehr luxuriös. Und der Wirt und seine Frau waren sehr zuvorkommend.

Sehr nettes Restaurant und eine super freundliche Bedienung. Als Vorspeise Salat art des Hauses ,und im Anschluss eine Grillplatte .Alles war sehr lecker . Hatten Glück das am 2 Weihnachtstag noch ein Tisch frei war ,besten Dank nochmals.

Ich hatte Weinbergschnecken als Vorspeise und Forellenfilet mit Reis und Salat als Hauptgericht. Das Essen war gut und würzig, die Bedienung flott und höflich.

Essen ist sehr gut und lecker. Nette Betreiber, macht Lust auf mehr. Hier wird auch Frühstück angeboten. Es gibt eine Kegelbahn. Also worauf wartet Ihr noch?

Die Hotelzimmer sind sauber und haben viel Platz im Kleiderschrank. Der Inhaber und seine nette Ehefrau sind in Sri Lanka geboren, sprechen aber gut deutsch - die Frau besser als ihr Ehemann. Beide sind sehr freundlich und stets um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht, was ihnen sehr gut gelingt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Jeden Tag gibt es FRISCHE Brötchen - auch am Wochenende! Schöner, gemütlicher Terrassenbereich.
