Restaurant Becker´s in Schüttorf

We will come back and check the service again... Rest was okay.

Oktoberfest at Beckers Bierstuben and we were there on the first evening. Delicious minced meat with sauerkraut and bread dumplings, plus plenty of beer mustard sauce! Delicious Oktoberfest beer. Afterwards we used the bowling alley and had a lot of fun. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Okay inside, cozy outside, food very good, staff unfriendly... but what can you expect when you see how these people treat other people and barricade the parking lot just because the poor parents with their cars don't know where to go near the high school . On purpose, even though the restaurant is closed, everything was delivered with their own cars, vans, bicycles and trash cans. I won't eat there anymore.

I just ate here probably the best Schnitzel I've ever tried. Very much recommended.

I'm sorry to write bad reviews, but sometimes it has to be done. To eat... I could have done a similar thing at home with a little more time. The roulades were very good. The starter soup was good, maybe a bit too salty, but ok. Pork medallions were ok too, nothing great. Chicken schnitzel... well... did they come from the discount store? The beans in bacon were quite dark. Almost anthracite. Not a hit in terms of taste either. Croquettes were very good. Except the curly fries. Were they from the day before? They were more like chips than fries. Pretty hard. This isn't how fries should be. According to guests, Spezi tasted like dishwashing liquid and had hardly any carbonation. Bottle left open for too long? Service.... For 13 people 3 waiters. That's great. 2 ladies and a gentleman. What struck you first was the different clothing. The women.....one was wearing black pants and a black sweater, the other was wearing dark pants and a colorful blouse with a medium-dark vest. The gentleman was the only one wearing sensible clothes. As black pants, white shirt and black vest. Very accommodating and nice. To the waitresses...please don't try to be funny and long for the end of the day. Ambiance.... Oh oh oh.....when you enter the premises, the guest is greeted by a musty cellar smell. The restaurant isn't any better either. The whole restaurant could use a coat of paint and a bigger air exchange. I had put on my clothes fresh at lunchtime and was allowed to wash them straight away in the evening because the musty air had settled into the clothes. But that's with all guests. The cutlery needs to be polished again. It was dull and didn't really invite you to eat. I'm not picky and still eat as an invited guest of the host, but this restaurant is not a recommendation. It seems to me that the operator has no desire to invest. Then as a guest it would be better to spend €5 to €10 more on a meal. Maybe this review will be an impetus for a renovation and improvement of the restaurant.

We were invited to a wedding reception there. The food was okay. Service went like this. The worst thing, however, was the foul smell. It smelled moldy and like a toilet. My clothes still smelled like it after several washes. Even I could only get it out of my hair with multiple washes and scented conditioners. That was more than just bad. Not to mention how unhealthy it is. I would never go there again and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It was a very nice evening with friendly service and good food.

Incorrect opening times published. Food is not convincing. Too expensive for that. Ambiance and service can also be improved. I don't see any reason to eat there anymore.

We were guests there with our siblings. The food was definitely plentiful. The taste was okay, only the pork loin steak from the grill was very dry. Changes were accepted at an additional cost. Otherwise the price is good. Service was also ok, it just took a little longer until we had the food. In terms of drinks, we were regularly asked whether everything was still ok. The atmosphere is cozy. But perhaps the chairs should be checked. Very wobbly. What was very nice, we were lucky that there was men's cream.

Because of the positive reviews we drove off the highway to eat there. The reception was very unfriendly. Drinks were brought quickly, after that we were exhausted and the food order wasn't taken even though the waitress was always at the next table. After 30 minutes it was really too stupid for us and we left hungry. The room we were sitting in also smelled terrible...like a drain. Even in the car we noticed that our things smelled like it. It's actually a shame because we were looking forward to a pleasant evening.

Goed eten, vriendelijk personeel, prima prijzen.

Heerlijk gegeten bij een echt Duits restaurant aardig personeel.

Spargel zum satessen bestellt und das war sehr sehr lecker und ich bin mehr dann satt geworden. Auch der Rest auf das Menü kann man gut essen.alles inclusief Bedienung und Service 👍👍👍

Gemütliche Kneipe mit 2 Kegelbahnen und Saal. Leckere Speisen á la Carte.

Leider war kein Entrecote mehr da. Die Hüfte war aber auch sehr gut. Leider ist 2023 alles teurer geworden. Das Ambiente ist etwas sehr retro. Ein Anstrich wäre vielleicht mal eine Idee. Zudem besteht anscheinend ein Problem mit unangenehmen Gerüchen aufgrund von Feuchtigkeit. Wäre prima, wenn das abgestellt werden könnte.

Nach einiger Zeit wieder zum Gans Essen hier gewesen und es war wieder richtig gut. Service ist super und die Speisen schmeckten hervorragend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir mussten zwar etwas länger auf's Essen warten, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Ich hatte ein super leckeres vegetarisches Gericht.

Tolle Servicekraft. Der Koch weiss was er tut . Auch wenn die Wartezeit etwas länger war hat es sich jede Minute gelohnt zu warten. Es war wirklich Sehr lecker. Kleiner Tipp am Rande ein Muss ist die Hochzeitsuppe. Danke für das tolle Genusserlebnis.
