Went there for dinner last almost two weeks. The restaurant is like a journey back in time to the late eighties in terms of ambience and furnishings. The staff was very friendly and the meat was cooked perfectly. OK the rice was a bit too soft but that could be different on any other day. Otherwise suitable for a good meal.

Hatten, den Grillteller, war lecker! Auch hier hatten wir kein Platz gebucht, aber fanden noch einen Plätzchen. Bedingung war auch nett!

Ik had hier een gerecht met varkensvlees besteld, maar toen het aankwam, merkte ik al snel dat er iets mis was. Het vlees rook niet goed, en toen ik het beter bekeek, zag ik dat het helemaal niet goed gebakken was. Sterker nog, er kwam nog bloed en water uit het vlees. Dit is niet alleen onsmakelijk, maar ook gevaarlijk voor je gezondheid! Toen ik dit aan de eigenaar liet weten, werd ik ronduit respectloos behandeld. Hij zei dat ik niets van koken wist en dat ik mijn mond moest houden. Tot mijn verbazing werd hij zelfs dreigend, misschien omdat ik daar met een vriendin was, wat het hele incident nog onaangenamer maakte. Mocht je toch besluiten om hier te eten, wees dan extra voorzichtig met je maaltijd. Controleer het vlees goed, want dit is echt onverantwoordelijk en potentieel schadelijk voor je gezondheid. Ik zal hier in ieder geval nooit meer terugkomen.

Authentic service and good Croatian cuisine.

The food was delicious, the staff was nice. However, I know from other Balkan restaurants that cold sauces (garlic oil, red hot sauce + a kind of tzatziki) are served with the meal. It's a shame, then it would have been perfect. So I found it a bit too expensive.

Very great restaurant in the pedestrian zone in Gerolstein. Very tasty culinary Croatian cuisine with many great dishes. The portions are very generous, the service is excellent and very friendly. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Croatian cuisine.

Preis Leistung top. Das essen kam schnell und das Steak war auf den Punkt. Sehr lecker und der Teller nicht zu überladen, sodass man die Portion gegessen bekommt aber trotzdem gut satt wird. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich von Anfang an wohl. Werde definitiv wieder kommen

Price performance top. The food came quickly and the steak was on point. Very tasty and the plate isn't too overloaded, so you can eat the portion but still feel full. The staff was also very friendly and you feel comfortable right from the start. Will definitely come again

Delicious food, friendly service and owner. Food was on the table very quickly, we didn't have to wait long. Eating here with friends costs the same amount for 4 people as in the Netherlands for 2 people. Really very cheap. We will definitely come back again.

We were there for dinner and sat outside on the terrace. The food and drinks were top and had an excellent price/performance ratio. Service was also ok. Highly recommended from my side.

We had a good meal here for a nice price. In the Netherlands, eating out is no longer fun. In general, Germany is more affordable.

All in all it was great. The food was quick and very tasty. My wife had the hunter's pan and I had the grill plate. Price/service was great.

Went here for the first time with my parents 23 years ago. As a 16-year-old, I became completely addicted to this place. Went again yesterday with the whole family and it is as if time has stood still. First the coleslaw, then the dishes with delicious meat and fries or rice. And of course the plum schnapps. Don't expect culinary delights! Fast and good food! I hope I can go here again next year. Thank you Balkan grill!

I had the Caribbean plate again.

Our son had his public vows in this region, so unknown to us we reserved 6 seats at this restaurant to celebrate a bit. First of all: the restaurant is in the middle of the city, so you have to look for a parking space a little further away. We were absolutely not disappointed with the restaurant itself and can warmly recommend it with a clear conscience! It's a rather small, but really cute, cozy place. Even though it was Wednesday, it was completely booked in the evening, so I would definitely always make a reservation. The food (both the starters, main courses and dessert) were excellent! Fresh, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious, plus good portions too. The staff was super friendly, but not annoying at all, courteous and really on their toes! You can tell that no beginners work there. The boss also brings a good mood with his funny manner. Great guy! :) We had a very nice evening there with the family and would definitely come back (if we go to the region again)!

Ordered a grill plate. Large portion, sorry, at the level of a chip shop. The Cevapcici had an unusual consistency.

Three different pieces of steak, deliciously grilled. Serve with delicious djuwetsch rice and a glass of Kadarka. Wonderful and always have a chat with Janko or Ivica. Recommended. And oh yes, our dog is also welcome.

Met 8 personen werden we hier naar toegestuurd door een local. Geen spijt van dat we hier terechtkwamen. Heerlijke visgerechten en de te grote porties vlees. Gezellige bediening en mooie muziek.

keine Ahnung, wie lange wir hier schon essen gehen, aber es dürften locker 40 Jahre sein, früher nach Wanderungen mit meinen Eltern zur Stärkung, später mit Freundin - die nun auch schon seit 25 Jahren meine Frau ist - bevorzugtes Abendessen. Es ist einfach hervorragend 🤙😁

Wir waren an einem Sonntag Abend spontan hier Essen. Der Kellner war leider sehr überfordert und mit den Kräften am Ende. Klagte über zu wenig Personal, gab aber sein Bestes. Hauptspeisen wurden trotz hohem Aufkommen schnell zubereitet und serviert. Ich hätte gerne noch einen Nachtisch gehabt, der Kellner war aber ehrlich und meinte das würde 45 Minuten dauern. Das war uns dann doch zu lange. Ansonsten war es recht schnuckelig in der Strasse.

Lekker eten van goede kwaliteit voor een redelijke prijs in een leuke sfeer met heel vriendelijke bediening. Zeker een aanrader als je in Gerolstein verblijft.

Bedienung top 👍 Essen war sehr lecker und preislich war es angemessen. Ambiente ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber auch noch in Ordnung. Ich komm wieder ✌🏻

We kwamen hier toevallig terecht. Hebben een gerechtvaardigde de “ kleine “ kaart genomen. Dat was echt. Een goede. Maaltijd.aardige bediening. Een Ober uit MMONTENEGRO die erg zijn best deed om ons te verstaan, en wij hem ☺️. Prima service!

Heerlijk eten! Een aanrader als je van vlees houdt. Lekker soepjes vooraf. De sfeer van Kroatië in het restaurant. De bediening is zeer vriendelijk.

Wir sind öfters dort, auch mit Kindern. Sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Preis, Leistung und Qualität entsprechen der Erwartungen.

Das Essen kommt schnell, aber das Fleisch scheint eine schlechte Qualität zu haben. Es schmeckt alles nur so mäßig gut. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Lage an der Straße stört kaum.

Wir hatten die Balkan Platte und die Marco Polo Pfanne. Sehr sehr lecker ebenso wie der Krautsalat. Waren seit langem nicht mehr da gewesen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Genau wie früher. Zum Abschluss wurde mich ein Schnapps angeboten auch wie früher. Absolut Klasse 👌

Ein Restaurant der alten Schule, frisch gekocht und einfach nur zu empfehlen ! Es werden sogar Essenswünsche erfüllt die schon seid Jahren nicht mehr auf der Karte stehen ! Jederzeit gerne wieder !

Przyszliśmy późnym wieczorem i bez problemu udało się dostać stolik. Wybór dań jest duży a samo jedzenie również było pyszne. Obsługa była super i bardzo miła, z chęcią będę tu wracał ponownie.

Wir sind gegen Abend spontan hier vorbei gekommen und haben kurzfristig einen Tisch bekommen. Der Service war freundlich und schnell, dass essen sehr gut. Der Laden liegt an einer ruhigen Straße so das man auch gut draußen sitzen kann.
