Restaurant Badnerland in Karlsruhe

We went there for the first time today thanks to the discount voucher. The food was excellent. The waiter absolutely deserves a special mention! I haven't seen such a courteous waiter in a long time! 🥰 When he noticed that I'm partially paralyzed, he immediately brought me another knife and even offered to cut the meat for me! ♥️♥️♥️ We'll definitely be back! 👍💪💪💪

We found the food quite okay. Not great, but good. The garlic soup and the lamb with the wonderfully crispy fries are very tasty! What a huge portion! What should be highlighted, however, is the service! Sensationally fast, friendly and attentive! And that with the restaurant fully occupied!! It's rarely found anymore!! An extra star for that!🤩 We'll be back!!

We had to wait forever for the food, the delivery time kept getting longer and then the burger arrived raw. We called there and had to tell three different employees that the burger was inedible. In the end they said we wouldn't get a new burger, they couldn't do anything and we should file a complaint with Lieferando. We will NEVER order there again. Not recommended!

We were there because of the voucher book. The food is okay, my wife's steak was great and cooked to perfection. My Cordon Bleu was a convenience product from the deep fryer.... The wine was also... really bad to say the least 🤣 Hence a point deduction. Unfortunately, it is not clear which direction this restaurant is taking, whether German or Greek cuisine... We'll definitely come back sometime then I'll take something else and maybe improve my stars. The service was nice and attentive even though it was very busy.

We regularly go to the Badnerlandhalle to eat. We are always happy because we always receive very friendly and courteous service. The service is incredibly friendly. We have never been disappointed and will definitely come back.

Super friendly staff, great food, very nice atmosphere. We enjoyed a great evening there and will be back. We were there before the FC C concert and it was busy. Nevertheless, everyone remained friendly and the food went quickly. Everything worked out wonderfully. The staff cannot be worth its weight in gold. Great people!

I reserved in advance via the website - very problem-free. I was a bit irritated that before the appointment I received both an email and a text message reminding me of the appointment. It's understandable and a good service, but somehow I found it a bit much. There are enough parking spaces around the restaurant, as the Badnerlandhalle has a large parking lot and there is a shopping center that also has enough parking spaces that you can use. From the outside the restaurant looks very cozy with all the lights. The three of us got a nice table for 6 people. This was also set up for 6 people, although I had only registered 3 people. I also found that a bit of a shame because it made it difficult to "divide" around the round table. (Incidentally, I would have found it a bit cramped for 6 people - but I generally prefer to sit with plenty of space around me). There are comfortable “armchairs” that you can sit on comfortably. Although I have to say from my own experience from a "previous life" that people who have significantly more on their hips could perhaps have problems with the seat. The legs of the chairs may also be a bit delicate. I found the jasmine (?) scent that regularly scented the room annoying. Maybe I was sitting inconveniently right next to the scent outlet - but I kept getting a thick cloud of scent that was really too intense for me. Especially while eating. Unfortunately, the menu is not appropriate for the restaurant, in my opinion: the menu backgrounds are more reminiscent of a bar. The feel of the menu is reminiscent of a fast food restaurant. That's a shame. However, the food selection is interesting. Not mass-produced. Not too much offer. But there are a few things I would have liked to try. Ultimately I chose lamb chops with fries and a garlic dip. My companion chose ravioli and the mixed plate. The food was good. The chops were as hoped. The fries are extremely crispy. The other dishes were also good. The ravioli was really tasty. And the quantity was absolutely fine. Absolutely reasonable in price. All in all, not exceptional, but solid. The non-alcoholic cocktail I ended up ordering sounded very interesting. Beetroot with - I think - bitter lemon and passion fruit. Unfortunately the cocktail was far too sweet for me. Although I found the earthy taste of the beetroot very tasty. To compensate, I was offered an ouzo. And since my companions refused, I got triple the amount. Oops. Well, I don't mind. The waitress that evening seemed quite inexperienced to me - which isn't a bad thing. But somehow both young men seemed a bit overwhelmed, both with taking the order and with the later billing. But, as I said, that's not a bad thing and you'll certainly get experience quickly.

We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Romanidis and his team (Daniel from the service, his colleagues from the kitchen, and the head chef) for the fantastic organization of our birthday party in the private room. From the champagne reception to the appetizers, the main course, and the coffee break, everything was superbly organized and delicious. Special requests were accommodated, both regarding the food (e.g., vegan) and the party program (setting up the projector we brought along). The table decorations were color-coordinated and very tasteful. The room was also appropriately decorated for the pre-Christmas period. It was very nice that it included real plants. The price-performance ratio is more than fair. Our guests and we were very satisfied; it was truly an unforgettable day. Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, ZERO stars are not possible for the service! Stopped by yesterday by chance. Looked at the menu in the showcase and immediately worked up an appetite. (Bernese schnitzel with croquettes) In the evening with family. UNFORTUNATELY ordered without further looking at the menu. Fries were then served! The sauce was the same as for another dish and instead of cranberries there was a stalk of currants as decoration. The waiter and (chief) cook on the croquettes addressed, only the note showcase is not up to date. According to the menu with fries. First accepted... When I looked at the menu again there was another dish WITH croquettes! When I asked the waiter again why it wasn't possible to serve my dish with croquettes, as I had pointed out, the waiter was offended! I would have had to order it like that...???!!! No apology, no gesture (e.g. an ice cream for my son) NO goodbye!!! CONCLUSION = NEVER AGAIN

We ordered food, our gyros were burnt, tzatziki tasted really weird, flatbread was full of oil, metaxa sauce was overcooked, kritharaki was full of lemon flavor. As Greeks, we wanted to order something nice for ourselves. After the total catastrophe, my wife left a review, and instead of worrying about what we might have done wrong, the owner of our private cell phone called us and asked us to justify our opinion. He insulted us and became very loud. Apparently we have no idea about food and we aren't Greek. He didn't want to see his mistakes and asked us why we were writing a negative review instead of calling him! Not open to criticism at all, outrageous and that's where I ask myself, what exactly do people find nice about eating there! Zero quality, zero behavior! Too bad for Karlsruhe. It's a shame for us Greeks who want to eat Greek! It's a shame for Germans who misunderstand our culture and food!

We have only experienced this in high-priced restaurants. And were very positively surprised. Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference! When we paid, we even received a €5 voucher! Our conclusion: ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED A quick word about other reviews that were left here. We distance ourselves 100% from the AFD!!! Our review here is solely our experience/impressions that we have had, and not those of other guests! We found our visit to the restaurant very pleasant.

We ate there some time ago, but we didn't remember it positively, it was rather lower standard. Our impression won't get any better, because the landlord obviously sympathizes with the AfD and regularly has their events take place in his rooms - another reason to avoid this restaurant

Food was good, portions were also great. Ambiance is always a matter of taste, but you definitely feel comfortable. A decent espresso would be the icing on the cake 😉 Otherwise, keep it up, don't let the sometimes borderline stupid comments get you down.

Food is only offered with blue-brown sauce, which the operator probably has no problems with. Regular get-togethers organized by a fascist party also take place here, so it has become a place to avoid.

I ordered a rump steak medium and it was perfect too. But what's the point of a well-fried steak if it's totally tough😩 After complaining, the friendly waiter told me that complaints about this were increasing. People are dissatisfied with the quality itself. Why does the restaurant even offer these dishes? This is an absolute NO GO😩😩 I also had to pay the full price even though the quality was unacceptable. I will not visit this restaurant again.

Unfortunately, my visit to the Badnerlandhalle was a complete disappointment. The restaurant presents itself as a place of hospitality, but my experience there was anything but pleasant. The staff at this restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Unfriendly, disinterested and apparently untrained - that's the best way to describe the service. The staff were clearly overwhelmed and unable to provide a decent service. When we asked, we received little engagement and were given the feeling that we were more of a nuisance than welcome. The portions that came to the plate were downright ridiculous. For the inflated prices you would expect at least an adequate amount of food. Instead, we were served mini portions that didn't even amount to a snack. The taste couldn't compensate for this in any way - some of the food was even cold. The waiting times for drinks were unreasonable. Sometimes we waited so long for our drinks that we were forced to write down drinks ourselves and bring them to the completely overworked waiter. This is unacceptable and reflects poor organization and inefficient management. The bowling alley we were looking forward to was another setback. Significantly old, worn and neglected. It was hard to believe that such a dilapidated facility was still charging a whopping €17 per hour. Even with a large group and a significant turnover, one should expect more quality and service. Overall, I cannot recommend the Badnerlandhalle. Incompetent staff, portions that are too small at excessive prices, sometimes cold food, long waiting times for drinks and a run-down bowling alley make this place an unattractive choice. There are certainly better alternatives in the area.

Solid cuisine...I would rather call it German cuisine with a Greek influence than Greek cuisine. Portions are sufficient and therefore good value for money. Very friendly service.

Leider kann ich nicht Bewerten. Ich war zu Besuch dort. Da ich dort in Karlsruhe geboren bin und dort am Bärenweg gewohnt habe, kann ich nur die Gegend weiter Empfehlen. Eine sehr schöner Ort der 20 min. Von der Stadt Karlsruhe mit der Bahn S1 /S11 erreichbar ist. Natur pur an der Badenerlandhalle.

Encore étant gentil pour la deuxième étoile. Service rapide. Sinon la qualité des plats sont au niveau de la cantine de mon centre de formation. Peu sympathique, ou plutôt moqueur en voyant l’addition. Aucune raison de revenir manger chez eux, perte de moyens et de temps. A trouver mieux sur Karlsruhe comme restauration, dommage !!

Das Restaurant war super, wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und das Essen war fantastisch! Wir hatten als Vorspeisen beide Variationen von Blätterteigtaschen, den Beilagensalat und als Hauptgericht die überbackenen Schweinelendchen mit Spätzle, Pommes und Kroketten. Alles sehr zu empfehlen! Alle Servicemitarbeiter waren freundlich, gut gelaunt, sympatisch und professionell. Über den Lockdown gibt es auch Essen to go. #supportyourlocaldealer

War heute mit einem Groupon Gutschein dort essen, das Restaurant ist Teil der dortigen Festhalle und hat einen großen (Bier)garten. Der Hund den wir dabei hatten war kein Problem, Parkplätze gibt es mehr als ausreichend direkt davor, das Ambiente wird derzeit zwar optisch etwas gestört wegen Bauarbeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe, ist aber trotzdem gut und hat einen leicht südländischen Touch. Das Essen war gut, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wäre auch ohne Gutschein gut gewesen. Der Salat als Vorspeise war sehr gut angemacht und abwechlungsreich, als Hauptgang hatten wir Rumpsteak und Putenschnitzel, beides war gut (auch wenn das Steak deutsch medium und damit für meinen Geschmack etwas zu durch war, leider wurden wir vorher nicht gefragt wie es zubereitet werden soll) und die Beilagen (Pommes und Kroketten) kamen aus einer Friteuse mit frischem Fett. Keinerlei Grund für Klagen. Das Dessert (Griechischer Joghurt mit Orangensoße) war mal was Anderes und sehr empfehlenswert. Die männliche Bedienung war freundlich, immer da wenn man sie gebraucht hat ohne aufdringlich zu sein und schnell. Das Einzige was nicht so toll war war das Cola das uns serviert wurde, es war etwas kohlensäurearm und stammte wahrscheinlich aus einer schlecht eingestellten Pre oder Postmixanlage. Aber, und das gibt es nicht mehr oft, ein großes Cola dort ist tatsächlich noch ein halber Liter. Wow. Der Espresso zum Dessert war dann wieder sehr gut. Alles in allem empfehlenswert.

Das Restaurant kann ich sehr empfehlen. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und schnell. Das Essen hat nicht lange gedauert und es hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt! Die Portionen waren angemessen. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön, wir haben draußen gegessen, deswegen kann ich von innen nicht viel berichten. Die Lage war sehr ruhig, obwohl neben dran eine große Baustelle ist, wurde daran heute nicht gearbeitet. Wahrscheinlich ist es in der Woche lauter?
