Food is okay, but nothing special

My wife and I went to Bacchus for the first time in a while. It's no surprise that all the restaurants have drastically raised their prices. Our lunch menu has also become considerably more expensive over the past 12 months. It wouldn't be so bad if the portion sizes hadn't also been reduced. In any case, we weren't satisfied. Unfortunately, the value for money is no longer right.

Very tasty, fast service and very nice service

We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We spontaneously reserved a table in the evening. We were personally greeted at the entrance and shown to our table. We had liver and a grilled dish. The meat was excellently prepared. Unfortunately, the rice was very grainy. It was taken away and passed on to the kitchen. Excellent. Good service.

As a Greek who has lived in Hanover for 15 years, I can safely say that this is the best Greek restaurant in Hanover and beyond! 👌👌👌

We used to come here often and have picked up food several times. I was all the more disappointed when, after a longer break (about six months), we spontaneously stopped in and my food arrived. As a woman, I wasn't completely satisfied, which is saying something. Unfortunately, the value for money is no longer there. The food was okay, but nothing more. With a heavy heart, we will now look for another regular Greek restaurant. There are plenty of others, and we have to drive anyway.

We've been regular and happy guests for years! Unfortunately, the last three visits and pick-ups were so bad that we won't return or order again. The gyros were extremely greasy, and the souvlaki portions were very small. The staff was sometimes friendly, but mostly hectic, forceful, and slow. Allergies are met with derision. A little tip: poor service and substandard food cannot be compensated for with a glass of ouzo.

Cheap prices, great service, very courteous even when delayed

I was passing through and, as a single guest, received correspondingly poor service. The food (a Four Seasons platter) is only worth the price for one season before you starve. The service was completely overworked; friendly, of course, but that's not what you need. The place is incredibly loud. I'm totally disappointed and will definitely avoid this place next time I'm in Hemmingen. But who likes it? I don't anymore.

There was a bit less food on the plate. There was a salad and soft bread for starters. To finish, there was an ouzo that could have been a bit colder.

Super delicious food and super friendly and attentive service. The vegetarian selection could be more extensive, but even so, raw foodists will find something to their liking. The pan-fried dishes are truly eye-catching, and the wellness salad with fresh raspberries and kiwi is also very refreshing. The on-site menu offers a slightly wider selection than the one on the website. Prices are fair, and the ambiance is appealing. We definitely recommend eating there, but parking is very limited. We'd love to come back!

All in all, it's good, just incredibly loud in the evenings. But you just have to accept that. The food is good, the service is very friendly and attentive. Parking is sometimes limited in the evenings.

Extensive menu, very tasty food, friendly service, prices in the normal range. What more could you want? Bacchus Ii is the traditional Greek in Hemmingen Westerfeld, which is proven by the many regular guests every evening. The pan dishes with Metaxa sauce are particularly recommended. We'd love to come back. Table reservations are also recommended - especially at peak times.

Long time no see. There were three of us and we were in front of the restaurant 30 minutes before opening time. A number of visitors were already standing in front of the door, waiting to be admitted. Since it was cold, we were let in before opening time. Good idea. Inside we were asked for a reservation which we didn't have. Allocating space wasn't easy, the restaurant was full at this time and in the middle of the week. This is rare to observe, but that's why it's all the more beautiful. We had a male service person who was extremely funny, competent, attentive and flexible. 2 special requests were no problem. Because of the abundance, it took a little longer for the menu to be handed out, but the subsequent distribution of drinks and food ran smoothly and well-timed. Further requests were asked attentively and not intrusively. The food was great, tasty, properly seasoned and in appropriate portion sizes. The ambience is a little out of date, but somehow it fits. Here I fluctuated between 5 and 4 stars. I found the large Tiffany-style lamp sensational, but the niche size was a bit narrow. But (summary): a successful evening and the discovery of a restaurant that you would like to visit several times.

I was recently at Bacchus in Hemmingen and I was absolutely thrilled. The food was excellent: juicy grilled meat dishes, crispy fries and delicious homemade side dishes such as tzatziki - all freshly prepared and attractively served. The mixed salad for the starter was a particular highlight: crunchy vegetables and a fine dressing. The portions were generous and the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and inviting – ideal for a relaxed evening. A visit to Bacchus is definitely worth it, especially for lovers of Greek cuisine. I'd love to come back!

😋👌👍If we ever go out to eat - which is rare - then here. My relative isn't a big fan of fries, but she loves ordering them here; I can understand well. I can't think of anything that needs to be improved. A suggestion: instead of putting an ouzo on the table for every guest (which is basically a nice idea), offer a non-alcoholic alternative, e.g. a small bowl of yoghurt.

The food was okay, nothing more, but the service wasn't okay. Those who come often are immediately served with a smile and extras, leaving the other guests behind. This is not pleasant and no service. Smiles should come from the heart. It has also become a bit mass-produced, it used to be nicer. It's dark and drafty in the back corner, which suits the evening.

Plankton should think of the Krabby Patty secret formula, the Tigany formula is much more worthwhile!

I can't say enough good things about this wonderful Greek restaurant! From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed like family. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and you immediately feel the family warmth that characterizes this restaurant. The food was simply fantastic! Every dish we tried was freshly made and full of flavor. The moussaka was to die for – perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. The souvlaki skewers were also juicy and the side dishes were rich and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the homemade tzatziki, which was a real taste explosion! The selection of wines, especially the Greek varieties, rounded off our meal wonderfully. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. You can tell that the entire team is proud of what they do and they do everything with a lot of love. Another highlight was the small, lovingly designed ambience, which immediately immerses you in Greek culture. Even the small details, such as the traditional decorative elements and the calming music, contribute to the feel-good atmosphere. We visited the restaurant spontaneously without a reservation and even though it was very full, they made every effort to assign us a table quickly. The service was really friendly and attentive, despite the crowd we felt well looked after. The food was outstanding! Typical Greek dishes, from souvlaki to moussaka, were freshly prepared and tasted simply great. The portions were generous and the prices were moderate - absolutely fair for the quality and quantity you get. Overall, a very successful evening with delicious food and great service. We'll definitely be back!

We were disappointed today. In contrast to before, the portion has shrunk to 50 percent. Table reserved at 6 p.m. Ordered at 6:20 p.m. Salad/drinks, starter received at 6:45 p.m. then nothing until 7:45 p.m. Asked when it starts? Waiter says, literally.. it's our own fault, since two of us had a starter.. the chef always pushes the main meal back... ahhhh..ha.. in the future, when there is one, there will be no more starters. . 20.15 Food received.. but.. wrong dish brought.. and after 20 minutes.. new correct dish served.. but.. meat cold... complained.. 20.40 fresh food, 🔥 received. Portion contains 2 tablespoons of rice and two sticks of small meat. (In the snack bar someone will put it in your bag in 2 minutes) Meat and rice are ok if you can find it on the plate. And... too expensive for almost 16 euros... a children's plate for a man... not even my wife was full... Restaurant totally full, very loud, you have to shout at the other person to say something so that they can hear something. As an apology, we received 2 espressos and a scoop of ice cream each. However, there were 4 of us... staff overwhelmed by the high number of guests . In any case not recommended. Food is good when it comes to the right dish and is not cold.. but too expensive for the portion size.. Due to the food odyssey, the overwhelmed waiter sometimes rolled his eyes because we don't drink schnapps.. Maybe ask first.. An espresso would have been better received.. something old thinking that everyone has to drink schnapps.. Sorry this time it was very bad.. Eating in installments over 2 hours.. The salad wilted until the food was there.. If we had been there for the first time, we wouldn't come again..

Here you get very good food at a moderate price. The menu is very extensive, making it difficult to choose. The staff, including the owner himself, are also very accommodating. I would like to come here again. Recommendation: the gratinated sheep's cheese and the grill plate or the pans with Metaxa sauce.

One of the best Greeks I've ever been to. Friendly welcome, fast service and very good food! I was shown to my seat by the boss. Despite the restaurant being full on a Friday, I received quick and friendly service. The food arrived just as quickly, a greeting from the kitchen, my ordered starter and then the main course. I believe that after waiting less than 15 or 20 minutes. And all I can say is that the food was outstanding! Prepared to perfection and seasoned accordingly. I can only give a big compliment and highly recommend this location!

We were there for the second time to eat, we really liked it, the food was very tasty, the service was friendly, but we defied one criticism points, prices, performance ratio wasn't quite right. My girlfriend had a pan-fried vegetable dish, a small piece of meat with some vegetables in it for 15.50 Nothing else in terms of side dishes, she then had to pay 3 euros for a virtual baguette as a suggestion. Baguettes cost almost nothing. You could admit it to the dish then the price would be okay

Ordered 5 dishes to pick up. Everything was stated correctly on the invoice. When I got home I discovered that the fries were undercooked and one dish was missing rice. Then I went back to exchange the missing fries. If I hadn't explicitly asked again, they would have forgotten the rice again. Unfortunately, I then discovered that the rice was more of a porridge. Unfortunately, the service person (Sylwia) was more interested in personal contacts with people in the entrance area who were apparently friends than in the guests. The boss also showed little interest. In addition, the prices on the menu available online do not match local prices. It's a shame, because we recommend this restaurant wherever we can.
