Restaurant Athen‘s in Edewecht

Food was very tasty! The portions are more than sufficient. I had the saganaki and a plaka plate. The feta was great, not one that squeaked like rubber when eating. The meat and especially the gyros were also very good! Even the rice: top. There were some drawbacks with the fries, they were lightly seasoned, but you eat rice with them! Classic and very good Greek food. We'll be back!

⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ I spontaneously stopped by Athen's Restaurant in Jeddeloh I on October 4, 2025, around 9 p.m. The salad and tzatziki were excellent – ​​fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the gyro was overcooked, bordering on dry. I ordered a Jever Pils, but they didn't serve Jever, and apparently, they didn't serve a branded beer either. For €21, I would have expected a bit more quality. It's a shame, because the service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant.

The food was very good – the meat and fries were cooked to perfection, the rice was hot but not too cheesy, but the salad was actually a bit bland (as other reviews mention). Portions were absolutely sufficient... Overall, highly recommended! 👌🏼! (Note: The welcome ouzo is listed on the bill, but is not charged 😉)

A very delicious restaurant with Greek and Italian cuisine. I really enjoyed it there. Highly recommended! Excellent service, extremely warm and consistently attentive. The menu is extensive and there should be something for everyone. :) The prices are within the normal range and, in my opinion, quite reasonable. You can sit inside or outside in the conservatory; there's even a smoking area. There's also a large, free parking lot right next to the restaurant. I recommend reserving a table, as the restaurant is very popular. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

My wife and I have been here several times now. Our food was always delicious, and the service was always very friendly and attentive.

Everything's great, but if it's crowded, you'll have to be a bit slow. But it's worth it 🙂

The new, large, covered outdoor area is spacious and doesn't feel crowded. All in all, it's great to have such a good restaurant nearby. Highly recommended!

We were looking forward to a nice evening at a Greek restaurant – but unfortunately, it didn't pan out. The salad was bland, the meat and rice were too salty. Otherwise, there were no other spices or flavors. Worst Greek restaurant around. According to the waiter, our feedback on the taste was questioned by the chef. Oh well, 🙄

Unfortunately, we weren't lucky here. The salads were completely flavorless, not even lightly salted. There were no typical Greek ingredients like white or red beans or anything else, just a bland white paste. What was even worse, however, was the gyro: It was so salty that it could only be described as oversalted. Despite returning almost all of it and complaining when paying, there was no compensation in the form of a drink or a price reduction. We will eat elsewhere in the future.

We haven't been here for over a year and had a bad experience. But we thought we'd order what we always had and not try anything else. It was great; the food and the service were very nice. In conclusion, we prefer to stick to the same food every time; you can't go wrong.

I'd really like to say don't go there so it's not always so crowded. :) The food is delicious and everyone is very friendly.

We were there with a larger group on a Friday evening. What can I say, the service staff are in a good mood and attentive. The food was great. I had a gratinated gyro garlic dish. There are enough parking spaces available. An all-round successful evening. It wasn't the last time I was there. Gladly again

The stay at the Athens restaurant is very pleasant. You will be welcomed very friendly, not to mention like a family. The service was very quick and comprehensive. The card is sufficient or not overloaded. There is actually a good selection of Mediterranean dishes here. The only drawback is perhaps that the outdoor area is right on the main street. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

It's a really great restaurant with excellent food! The staff and the service are absolutely great, it's a family-run business. We always enjoy coming and feel very comfortable here. The ambience, the pleasant, quiet Greek atmosphere and music also round off the positive impression. You can dine inside, in the winter garden or on the terrace. A large parking lot is also available. The menu offers something delicious for both the little ones and vegetarians. The prices are also quite normal. We already enjoyed being in Edewecht back then and now here in Jeddeloh I. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends and peak times between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.!

Wir haben auf unser Essen mehr als 1 Std. gewartet. Leider hatten wir nicht alles auf unserem Teller was wir Bestellt haben, mussten nachbestellen, was leider auch lange dauerte. Die Bedienung war freundlich doch der Service war nicht aufmerksam. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Toilette sind sauber. Wenn wir wiederkommen, bestellen wir vorher telefonisch das Essen und fahren dann zeitnah hin 😉

Das Essen war wie beim Griechen erwartet gut. Die Bedienung war sehr Nett. Leider war es sehr voll und dementsprechend war die Lautstärke sehr hoch. Meiner Meinung nach etwas zu laut. Vielleicht kann man ja diesbezüglich ja noch etwas nachbessern im Bezug auf Schalldämpfung usw. .

Wir waren mit Freunden dort! Für uns war es der erste Besuch, aber garantiert nicht der letzte! Das gesamte Team ist einfach grandios! Dort wird die mediterrane Küche geliebt und gelebt, sehr herzliche Bedienung! Das Essen war von herausragender Qualität 😋😋😋 Bruschetta vorweg - ein Traum! Als Hauptspeise einen Sirtaki-Teller und Gyros überbacken mit Käse-Sahne und reichlich Knobi! Als Nachspeise Honigmelone mit Parmaschinken. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt! Und eine Sirtaki-Einlage von Vassili und Maria gab es auch noch - neben den klassischen Ouzos 🤪 Und die riesige, überdachte Aussenterrasse macht jetzt schon Lust auf den Sommer!
