Bewertung für 4,5 Punkte Gutes überschauliches griechisches Essen von dem man satt wurd, aber sehr sparsam beim Ouzo. Beim Salat Dressing würde ich mir etwas weniger Schärfe und mehr griechische Gewürze wünschen. Angenehme Atmosphäre wenn da nicht die Musik wäre die mich eher an die 70iger Jahre Musik mit Katarina Valente erinnerte. Nettes und freundliches Personal.

Atmosphäre sehr gut, Bedienung sehr auf Zack und sehr freundlich. Vorspeise warme Peperoni waren leider zu salzig und viel zu viel Knoblauch. Gyros mit Calamari war der Hammer, noch nie so ein gutes Gyros gegessen. Danke😀

The Athene restaurant in Bad Staffelstein is an absolute highlight for all gourmets. The cuisine is simply incredible and the selection of dishes is huge. I have tried many different dishes here and have been impressed every time. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I can highly recommend the Athene restaurant to everyone!

We have been guests of this restaurant for many years, but yesterday we almost fell off our chairs...the prices have been raised again...now between €4 and €6 per dish...drinks too ...if we hadn't arranged to have a farewell dinner there, we would have left again... there's no justification for that, it's just a rip-off... when we asked about the conditions, she said that's what she did I wouldn't have heard from anyone yet and everything is fully booked for the weekend.... but we've read completely different things here.....it's a great shame, we'll miss the food....it's a shame that you alienate your regular guests so much and then they lie to you and is not taken seriously...

Very nice service and you can also sit nicely. I had a starter platter: the fresh vegetables were super fresh and tasty, as was the tzatziki, the rest came from a can or a jar in my opinion. And paid 17 euros for it.

Simply put: super super delicious! Very authentic Greek cuisine. The service is super attentive and does everything to make the guest happy. Had meze as a starter and a juicy fish plate for the main course. Not a single bone and simply grilled to perfection! Can only recommend the restaurant 💯 I will definitely come again - Chapeau! Water served in a glass (no clean bottle) nearly same price as a beer. Really? Dinner size was not Greek style as they are mostly hospitable people. So, serves were small, good for little appetite. End of dinner aperitif never happened albeit I saw others receive it. The Eftpos machine seems to not work so they want cash only! We’re here for a week, not coming back.

Well-attended location with a large outdoor area, friendly and fast service. Ordered: grilled chicken breast fillet with Metaxa sauce - handmade fries, fillet fried to perfection, the Metaxa sauce....I love Metaxa sauces.....unfortunately a bland disappointment. In my case 3 out of 5 stars and that's good.

My wife and I were there for dinner today on our wedding anniversary, the table was beautifully decorated and flowers were provided. The food was very tasty and the service was simply great!

A completely new experience, I summarize: - Food is expensive, overall more expensive than comparable Greek restaurants - The waitress was attentive, first wanted to give us the worst available table in the blazing sun, insisted on a place in the shade, then suddenly it happened - Order taken, so far so good - The drinks came, white wine nice and cold, unfortunately no bottle of water (at least €8.90 for water), whereupon we asked for some ice and got it - Unfortunately the food we had ordered didn't come (suflaki instead of gyros). We were given the feeling that it was our mistake and whether we didn't want to take it, no, we didn't, swapped suflaki for gyros - didn't get everything done, asked for a doggy bag, no problem - Brought the bill and now it comes: we were actually charged €1 for the ice cubes. When we asked, the service person got a bit snippy and said that it was an additional service and justified... I was amazed...I traveled a lot on our planet but first had to go to the Athene in Bad Staffelstein to gain this experience. Conclusion: obviously they are more interested in the walk-in customers of the spa guests, less in the local public or regular guests, I can't explain it any other way, well...unfortunately we won't be visiting this restaurant anymore, the whole thing has a lot of taste, especially because of the prices can already be clearly heard in a cross-comparison.

Spontan am Freitagmittag einen Tisch für Abends für 10 Personen gebucht. Wir durften uns aussuchen, wo wir sitzen möchten. Das Restaurant ist sehr groß, trotzdem hat man seine Privatsphäre beim Essen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Speisen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt klar auf griechischen Essen, vegetarisch gibt es auch. Wir hatten diverse Sonderwünsche bei den Speisen und auch das war kein Problem. Wir fanden die Preise im Rahmen, es ist nun mal teurer geworden. Die Portionen waren riesig und das Essen wirklich lecker. Wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend im Rahmen unseres Urlaubscdort verbracht.

Edit: Unfortunately this week was the last visit for us. The restaurant has been renovated, unfortunately so have the prices 😒 €4 for a 0.4 l soft drink, food is barely under €20. Unfortunately the taste has deteriorated. Finally a Greek who can cook too! Everything prepared perfectly, nothing dry or overcooked. We didn't have anything on our plate that we didn't like! The restaurant offers plenty of seats and is very comfortable. Not as squashed as some others. The service staff was always present and always asked if everything was okay. The only thing that bothered me was that it was being cleared away while we were still eating.

During a short vacation in Bad Staffelstein we went there for dinner one evening. Very tasty food (we had the village plate with souvlaki, gyros and steak with tomato rice). The price-performance ratio was okay, the meat was very well fried and the side salad was fresh and well prepared. Even though we had to wait a little longer, it was absolutely okay for a Saturday evening. The young lady from the service was very friendly.

We had reserved a table. On the outside it looked like it was “intentional and not accomplished”. The food tasted good, at least recommended. However, the breading of the feta seemed pre-made to me, ok my opinion. What was particularly annoying: 1 bottle of mineral water 0.75 l Rhönsprudel for €8.90! This is completely exaggerated! We have been visiting the Athene restaurant in Scheßlitz regularly since 2018 and have gotten to know the family as hospitable. After the restaurant in Scheßlitz no longer ran so well, the family returned to Bad Staffelstein (2023) and helped out in their son's restaurant. Certainly not an easy situation for the son when the parents including the two siblings go back to the same restaurant. We no longer drove to Scheßlitz but went to the Restaurant Athene in Bad Staffelstein and did so regularly. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly as of August 2023. The greeting with an ouzo has been completely discontinued from October 2023. Now the price increase came in April 2024. What happened now with a price increase has nothing to do with an increase in VAT. An additional amount of 2.00 to 5.00 euros per dish (main course) was added. Furthermore, the card for small appetites has been canceled, i.e. pensioners or small children are no longer welcome. We are a family of 5 and have to pay around 40 euros more for the same service. We won't support that.

Service was very friendly and competent. Ambiance was very nice inside, fine outside. Eat: As a starter we shared a saganaki which was delicious; The fruity balsamic vinegar that went with it was something special, but definitely delicious. For the main course I had the country plate. The tomato rice was great; Unfortunately, the gyros was a bit burnt in (very) few places, but otherwise very good; the minced steak was a bit too over-seasoned for me; the souvlaki also a little, but still okay. My girlfriend had the Corfu salad. She says the salad was OK (3/5 stars). All in all, a good restaurant that I would definitely recommend.

Das Athene in Bad Staffelstein ist der beste Grieche welchen ich kenne. Sehr hoher Standard in Bezug auf alle Speisen, Salate, Getränke etc. Sehr gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Ein ganz tolles ansprechendes Ambiente-typisch griechisch eingerichtet. Eine tolle Außenterrasse im Sommer welche ruhig ist, da nicht an der Straße. Das Personal ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Es ist ein Familienbetrieb

Hallöchen Ihr lieben Leute 💕 War am ersten Weihnachtstag hier in diesem griechischen Restaurant. Mein Ehemann und meine Schwester mit Begleitung waren an diesem Tag eingeladen. Wir waren sehr glücklich darüber, das wir einen Tisch um 17.00 Uhr bestellt hatten. Aber es war eigentlich garnicht so voll dieses Restaurant, wie mir gesagt wurde. Jedenfalls war das Essen (sprich drei verschiedene Gerichte) sehr gut im Geschmack und auch preislich waren die Gerichte vollkommen in Ordnung 👍 Warum ich einen Stern Abzug mache, ist, weil die Getränke einfach zu teuer geworden sind. Möchte jetzt nicht auf jedes einzelne Getränk meine Meinung äußern, das sollte jeder selbst entscheiden, okay aber habe ich leider festgestellt, das die Getränke, vor allem die nicht alkoholisch sind, total überteuert sind. Tut mir wirklich sehr leid für dieses außerordentlich gute Restaurant. Dennoch möchte ich allen mitteilen, gerade weil sonst auch alles so teuer geworden ist, darauf zu achten, die Auswahl der Getränke wirklich auf die Qualität und die Quantität zu unterscheiden und dann sich für das Getränk entscheiden, welches sich im Rahmen der finanziellen Verhältnisse auswählen lässt. mit ganz lieben Grüßen von mir 💕

Wir kamen spät, wurden aber sehr freundlich begrüßt. Essen war ausgezeichnet, die Bedienung konnte uns gut Auskunft geben auf Nachfrage, was glutenfrei ist. Ambiente ist griechisch schön!

Sehr lecker und preiswert. Guten Tag, nach unserem Tagesausflug in die Obermain Therme, haben wir um den Abend gemütlich ausklingen zu lassen, noch ein leckeres Restaurant zum dinieren gesucht. Unsere Wahl trief auf das obengenannt Lokal. Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service ließ auch keine Wünsche übrig. Somit kann ich nichts negatives berichten. Zum Schluss ist nur noch zu sagen das die Orangen sehr gut waren, nicht zu süß und sich nicht sauer. Deshalb 4. Sterne.

Gyros Salat für 11€ kann man echt nicht meckern. Macht man nichts falsch.

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend, bestes Gyros und auch die Calamari mega lecker - richtig buttrig zart 👌🏽 Preis-Leistung absolut top 😊 einzig der Salat der dabei ist, hat mir jetzt nicht so zugesagt und das griechische Feeling vermittelt, aber das is „meckern“ auf hohem Niveau ☺️ Absolute Empfehlung 👌🏽

Ein außerordentlicher Genuss. Einer der besten Oktopus Salate, die ich je probiert habe (und ich mag kein Oktopus). Saftiges Gyros, fluffiges Hacksteak. Sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Gute Auszeichnung der Allergene.
