Das Essen und die Auswahl ist gut und groß, doch die Preise steigen ständig an. In der Zwischenzeit stimmt das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr ganz.

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtetes Lokal mit griechischem Flair. Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes Personal. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Super Preis -Leistungsverhältnis und geschmacklich sehr gut. Da geh ich öfter hin. Vielen Dank für die hervorragende Bewirtung. Jedes Mal wieder ein schönes Erlebnis.

Hervorragendes Essen in wunderschönem Ambiente👌. Das Gyros war dünn geschnitten und wunderbar knusprig. Die Kalamari waren herausragend köstlich und sehr zart. Schade, dass ich nur einen Magen habe, welcher durch die große Portion prall gefüllt ist. Wirklich ein Hochgenuss. Vielen Dank für diese Gaumenfreude.🫶

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant mit gutem und höflichen Personal. Wenn wir hier im Urlaub sind gehen wir hier immer mal Essen. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Nachdem ich hier zum Mittagessen schon war musste ich am Abend einfach wiederkommen. Das Essen ist richtig gut und die Portionen sind üppig. Dazu kommt noch ein sehr freundlicher Service und ein nettes Ambiente und ihr habt einen neuen Stammgast. Das Lokal bekommt eine absolute Empfehlung, wer in Cham zu Gast ist sollte unbedingt vorbei kommen.

Sehr einladend und angenehm im Lokal, War nur etwas kalt zur Eröffnung. Einen Uzo gab es nicht zu Beginn vor der Speise (üblich in unserer Stadt) den mussten wir uns selbst bestellen🤷‍♂️. An dem Tag unseren Besuchs ist das Lokal innerhalb einer halben Stunde fast voll gewesen was nochmal bestätigt dass das Essen und Service hier stimmen, daher so viele Gäste! es empfiehlt sich dann doch einen Tisch zu reservieren wenn man etwas später nach Eröffnung kommt 🙂.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant. Besonders hat gefallen, dass die Einteilung der Sitzgelegenheiten so ist, dass man mehr oder weniger für sich ist und dem Nachbarn nicht direkt auf den Teller schaut. Das Essen ist klasse und reicht auch für den großen Appetit. Preislich liegt es auf normalen Niveau und durchaus zu vertreten.

Unterirdische Qualität – Eine absolute Enttäuschung ​Wir haben zwei „Athen-Teller“ für insgesamt 35,80 € bestellt, aber was uns serviert wurde, war leider eine Frechheit. Das Fleisch war papierdünn geschnitten und völlig verbrannt. Zudem schwamm das Ganze Salad in einer zuckrigen Sauce – was besonders ärgerlich ist, wenn man aus gesundheitlichen Gründen (Blutzucker) auf Zucker verzichten muss. ​Dafür gab es Unmengen an Kartoffeln als Beilage, was die schlechte Qualität des Hauptbestandteils keineswegs ausgleicht. Dass das Essen schnell serviert wurde, hilft leider weder gegen den Ärger noch gegen den Hunger, wenn das Fleisch ungenießbar ist. ​Auch wenn Cham keine Weltmetropole ist, sollte man für diesen Preis erwarten können, dass kein verbranntes Essen serviert wird. Absolut enttäuschend und nicht empfehlenswert für jemanden, der auf eine bewusste Ernährung achten muss.

Einfach Top. Sehr leckeres Essen, Preise find ich "normal" wunderschönes Ambiente. Und das Personal ist sehr herzlich und auf zack. Macht weiter so. Aber unbedingt reservieren!

We received our food after 1 1/2 hours and it was lukewarm; the service staff was unfriendly. We were a family and were all very disappointed; we will certainly not be returning to this restaurant.

Chaos! After a long wait of 1 1/2 hours, the food was also cold, the staff was stressed, and when I pointed this out to them, they showed no understanding or apology and justified themselves in an unfriendly manner.

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere so pleasant – and that's precisely why we wanted to return for our special day. We reserved a table about a month in advance. Communication was consistently friendly and straightforward. Everything was arranged well in advance, and on the day itself, the service was simply outstanding. The entire team was incredibly attentive, warm, and cheerful – we felt truly welcome and even received a few lovely compliments. To top it all off, we were surprised with a bottle of Greek wine, which was a really nice and personal touch. Thank you so much to the whole team at Restaurant Athen – you made our day even more special. We'll definitely be back! 🍷💙

Stylish ambiance, good food for every taste, and friendly service. And it's one of the few restaurants that are also open on Tuesdays. Hospitality is valued here.

We've been there a few times, and each time the older waiter was rude to us. He should really work on his manners. The food is usually great and quite expensive. If someone wants to experience "good" hospitality, they should visit this restaurant.

The Athens Restaurant is truly beautiful – you immediately feel at home as soon as you walk in. Everything is cozy, well-maintained, and made with love. The people there are super nice, extremely friendly, and attentive. You can really tell they make an effort to make their guests feel comfortable. The food is simply unbelievably delicious! 😍 It takes a while to arrive, but the wait is totally worth it. Our favorites are definitely the souvlaki, the salmon, and the plum pan – everything is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and truly delicious. Very tasty Greek food, lovely atmosphere. Everything was great.

Unfortunately, we didn't have the best experience here. After waiting 20 minutes, a rather grumpy waitress came to our table and rudely took our order. We then had to wait a full hour for our food (the restaurant was only moderately full). Drinks were forgotten several times (and were even slammed onto the table with such force that some people spilled their glasses. This was then ignored), and some of the waiters were very rude and unfriendly. Allergy questions were also answered snippy, and alternatives were offered rather reluctantly. Unfortunately, these allergens weren't listed on the menu; otherwise, they would have been mentioned in advance or requested in advance. The food was quite good and the atmosphere very pleasant.

The food arrived after 1 hour and 25 minutes, after repeated requests. The food itself was good, and the restaurant was nice. There was no apology, even after we discussed it with the waiter. Normally, in such cases, there's an apology and often more to make up for it – but here, the complete opposite. A lack of understanding. We'll avoid this place.

A great restaurant, from the decor to the food and service. Very good vegetarian options, and everything is superbly seasoned. The plates are beautifully presented, and there's nothing swimming in oil or grease like at other restaurants. We'll be back :-)

We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I have to say, we'll be going there again. The food is excellent and plentiful. The staff is very friendly, and the ambiance is lovely and cozy.

One of the weakest Greek experiences I've had so far Unfortunately, I have to say that I can't agree with the many positive reviews from other guests. The service was friendly and attentive, we got a good seat, and were served promptly. The wait times were also perfectly acceptable. But the food, unfortunately, was not at all tasty. The homemade coleslaw and leaf salad were mediocre at best and nothing special. Our mixed fish platter was particularly disappointing. The scampi were completely saturated with grease, tasteless, and only briefly fried. The calamari was also fried and of rather average quality—nothing special. The pork steak and souvlaki were also rather tough and flavorless. While reading other reviews, I noticed that some people had their meat grilled—but ours was pan-fried, and you could taste it. The tomato rice was equally bland, and the fries were run-of-the-mill frozen fare and nothing special in terms of flavor. Only the gyro was somewhat decent, but I've had much better. The tzatziki was also a bit lackluster in terms of flavor. All in all, this visit was unfortunately quite disappointing for me and no reason to recommend the restaurant. One small plus, however, is the ambiance—it must be said—the restaurant is truly tastefully decorated.

In my opinion, the best restaurant in Cham! Of course, the prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, but you get outstanding quality, and every dish we've had so far has been impressively 5-star. I've never ordered anything I couldn't recommend with a clear conscience. The waiters are all very polite, it's great to chat with them, and you always feel welcome. At the end of your meal, you also get a free shot of schnapps—something for the kids to snack on. The portions could be a bit larger for some dishes, though. But all in all, it's absolutely top-notch and more than deserves the five stars!

The Athens restaurant in Cham offers a very good selection of Greek dishes that are freshly and authentically prepared. Especially the meat dishes. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A small suggestion for improvement would be that the dishes could be seasoned with a little more spices to give the flavors even more depth. Overall, a highly recommended address for lovers of Greek cuisine!

The ambience is excellent. The food wasn't that good. Bifteki Special (sheep's cheese) was burnt. The zatziki sauce used to be included, but now it has to be ordered separately.

For years we have enjoyed going to the Greek restaurant in Cham because it is by far the best in the district. Unfortunately, the portions are getting smaller and smaller. I would hope that at a price of €17.50 for an Olympia plate you would at least be full.

The Athens has been offering high-quality Greek cuisine on the Cham market square for years. The food is always very attractively served and of high quality. Both the interior design and the overall style of the restaurant are Greek and invite you to gyros, souvlaki, wine and the like. The service is on point and well coordinated. Priced a little higher.

When we asked them about the fact that guests who arrived much later were getting their drinks and after half an hour we still didn't respond, they gave us a somewhat harsh tone. But afterwards he was very friendly and considerate. We will definitely come back on our next vacation home.

I've been to the restaurant several times and am always impressed by the food. The staff is friendly and usually quick. However, the prices are already high for my budget, so I only treat myself to a visit to the restaurant 2-3 times a year, but then I enjoy it!
