Restaurant Arbil Döner Imbiss in Heidelberg

We had ordered the Arbil grill plate, but the meat was sour and rubbery, as if it was old and not fresh. It also smelled unpleasant, so we could hardly eat any of it. The kebab was completely pink and actually raw. However, the waiter claimed that it had to be that way - which is definitely not the case! When we finally said we wanted to pay and leave, the waiter was extremely rude and irritable instead of being accommodating. What was particularly disappointing was that we were still aggressively charged €20 even though the food was not edible. We paid, but it's really sad that you are treated like this despite everything. The hygiene in the restaurant also left a lot to be desired, especially the toilets were in poor condition. Overall, I am very disappointed and have decided to write this review because I cannot accept such behavior and conditions.

I've never eaten a kebab like this in my life, just like rubber So there was a lady there, I spoke Kurdish to her but she told me I didn't understand any Kurdish but plus she spoke Kurdish to her colleague. 50€ for a rubber kebab, a plate of rice and a small salad and a drink of coke.

The food was terrible and the hygiene was very poor. When going to the toilet, women and men had to share the space, although as an Arab you are very strict about separation. I would never go here again if you want to catch illnesses you can go there.

Went there twice and ate. Once again it was very tasty. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. Price-performance ratio is right. Unless the toilets need to be replaced or overhauled. But otherwise it's great and tastes very good. Because everything is freshly prepared.

Food is good but I saw in the bill that they have charged me extra cup of tea …I told them there is a mistake but the waiter insisted that she delivered 3 cups .. the amount was not big issue that why I paid it and left because I didn’t want to argue with them.

The store was honestly the worst experience ever. We wanted to eat on site, but had to pay straight away and then waited forever for anything to arrive. The employees ignored us and were not helpful at all. I said twice that I wanted my kebab without red cabbage but there was still red cabbage on it. So I gave it back and we had to wait a really long time again. Then the kebab finally came, but the chicken was really just pink. I couldn't eat it because I was afraid of getting sick. But then I saw a cockroach behind me that almost crawled into my jacket, so we wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Service? Disaster. Hygiene? It couldn't be worse. Never again! -1000/10!

I ate there for the first time today. The bread was dry and not fresh. (Refined only with spices...) The meat (grilled plate) was very raw and rosy, not tasty.. There was also a live spider in the salad. Whereupon it was said that it could be (fake flower at the table...) which is unimaginable.. we were offered tea which we rightly refused, as a result we no longer had any appetite and there was no compensation. Paid the full price Will never go there again. Not recommended!

Unfortunately there was far too much sauce and the yufka wasn't closed properly, just folded up, a shame. The veal was tasteless and partly undercooked. It's a shame there's nowhere else to choose between veal and turkey/chicken. The store looks very nice, but inside the waitresses don't make you feel welcome because they come across as very arrogant.

The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. I enjoyed dinner with the oriental atmosphere and listening to Kurdish songs. Everything was good. Only the service employee was not friendly at all and ignored my request for a cup so that I could drink Coke. Usually I like to drink from a cup and not from a bottle, but she simply ignored my request. Other than that, I recommend the restaurant. It is good and the prices were completely reasonable.

I was there again today on my lunch break for a very long time. I used to be quite happy, otherwise I wouldn't go back. Maybe the owner has changed in the meantime 🤷🏽‍♀️ I ordered a lahmacun. They asked if it had kebab meat, which I said no. Then “with salad”? I said yes because I thought that was standard. In short: it was of course a lot more expensive and - it was the wrong choice. It was cold, stuck to the aluminum foil (even though I didn't ask to pack it because I was eating there!) and it tasted nothing like lahmacun but rather like sour salad. Conclusion: never again Oh yes, the “ladies” from the service are busy gossiping instead of checking on the customers

Nothing to recommend. The sauces taste like toothpaste and look like puke. The meat was still raw and barely seasoned. Heidelberg deserves better.

I ordered a kebab plate, it took 25 minutes to arrive and a kebab menu and they charged me double for the fries for no reason even though they were included in the menu.

For the first time in my life I saw a restaurant whose entire staff was so arrogant. In return for this mistreatment you get a disgusting meal. What I don't understand is how a restaurant like this can survive in a special place like Heidelberg.

The doner was not good and especially the meat was the weakest part of it. The service was okay, but the person at the counter told me i can get a drink from the fridge for free while my accomplices had to pay which was confusing.

We are 2 people and it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive even though the restaurant wasn't completely full. When we mentioned our food twice, the staff talked to us cheekily and didn't let us talk 😃 The meat was very raw inside and portions were also smaller than back then. We will never eat in this restaurant with our friends again. I don't recommend it to anyone!!!

The food at this restaurant was excellent. We ordered the #44, and both the lamb and chicken were flavorful and juicy. We also tried a platter that came with hummus and a few other sauces, all of which tasted fantastic. The service was satisfactory, although there was a bit of a language barrier; however, the waiters were polite and accommodating. I visited with my Middle Eastern family, and based on our experience, we all agreed that the lamb kabob was cooked exceptionally well. If you’re hungry and in the mood to try something new, I definitely recommend this place.

We were there on Saturday around 10:30 p.m. The kebab tasted very neutral, the meat was hardly seasoned. The bread was reminiscent of cardboard lids. So no reason to eat again. You were only allowed to sit at two of over 10 tables. The chairs were hastily put up. The store was supposed to be open until 5 a.m.

Went there for the first time and had very tasty Iskender kebab and chicken meat doner plate, fresh ingredients, top value for money. Served quickly and hot. Had rolls of dough as a starter. Always my pleasure. Hygienic aspects are also maintained in all areas. Only recommended.

We went for halal meat, but they make everything haram for you with their food, service and pricing. The short middle-aged man was very strange, there was almost no one who spoke English. Food is quite tasty. The pizza kebab tastes good and is spicy. Unfortunately, mozzarella is used, which results in a loss of taste. But the climate in the restaurant is tropical, so we were happy to be in the “fresh” summer air again, despite the summer temperatures. But the price is perfectly fine.

I ordered a Lahmacun mit Salat und Fleisch, but when they brought my food, it was a sandwich filled with salad only, and they also wanted to charge me more than the price written in their menu. And also Lahmacun should not be in a wrapped form, and they brought me a wrap which had NO meat at all. I was really disappointed from their service and bad quality of their food. The staff there where also really rude and impolite to me when I asked them why they are charging me more money compared to what is written in the menu. One of my friends got sick because of the food he ate at this restaurant. I will never ever go there again. The restroom was also disgusting and not clean. With this amount of money, I could have eaten a way much better food some where else.

I don't understand the bad rating at all. Have been a customer here for over 10 years and never had a single bad experience. I'm also far from Kurdish or any other middle eastern ethnicity for that matter, and staff have always been friendly and efficient. Both take-out and dine-in options are very good and quite recommendable. It's regrettable that the lady's toilet is broken at the moment, but that's really all I can say.

The staff are arrogant and impolite. I was patient, explained my order (as the server had poor English) and even showed him the item on the menu. They continued to act oblivious and started to talk behind my back in Turkish. I felt unwelcome and was even told "They don't have time for me". After this rude comment I walked out. If you want good service and food with an authentic atmosphere, try Safari on the main street.

I was there on a thursday afternoon late. One of the workers kindly put together a custom gluten-free vegetarian meal for me featuring a falafel roll on a plate but with the bread replaced by rice and some cooked vegetables added. I was super happy. Good vibe. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Seemed very clean. Handy location.

Gestern war ich mit meiner Verlobten da essen, weil ich gedacht habe das könnte was leckeres sein !! Doch da lag ich falsch,ich hab Grillteller mit extra Hähnchen Flügel bestellt und hab Hähnchen Flügel frittiert bekommen und das alles in so einem kleinen Teller, also man hat nicht genug Platz zu essen, Tische sind schmutzig die Mitarbeiter sind unfreundlich und sie waren krank 😅 Dass essen noch schlimmer kein Geschmack und salzig und noch nicht durch und seid gestern fühle ich mich schlecht 🤢 Ich wollte mit der Karte zahlen sie meinten zu mir das die Karte heute nicht funktioniert 😑 Die wollen einfach schwarz das ganze machen ist oke kein Problem wir verstehen schon aber zumindest , gebe mir für das Geld was zu essen und freundlich mit mir zu sein und mich gesund zu bedienen. Nicht so, dass war mein Erfahrung und ich würde sagen nie wieder nochmal 👍🏻
