Nie ein besseres restaurant in diese gegend gefunden. Geiles essen und super preise. Personal und chef sehr freundlich.

Das Grillgut war lecker und schmackhaft, draußen war es warm, drinnen angenehm kühl. Der Besitzer war sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder dort essen! 👌

Hier sind sie ein Abend aus! Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, gute Bedienung, sehr freundlich, und Mann kommt nicht zu Kurtz. Geh einmal und du kommst öfter!

Super Restaurant, aber wegen Vatertag mussten wir lange auf unser Essen warten – etwa 1,5 Stunden. Die Parkplatzsuche ist bei großem Andrang allerdings schwierig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, das Essen war hervorragend. 🤫

Sehr stimmiges Ambiente. Sehr guter Service und wirklich leckeres Essen. Wir haben dort typisch kroatische Speisen und waren sehr gut zufrieden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Es gab zwar Platz für uns zwei,aber unser Hund war nicht mehr willkommen,etwas das früher anders war, denn wir waren hier schon einige Male essen! So sind wir wieder gegangen.

Wir waren am 16,06.2026 dort Essen ,mein Freund kannte das Resturante von früher weil er in Gronau gross geworden ist und öfters mit seinem Eltern da war das ganze liegt 30 jahre zurück und wir waren nach 30 Jahren in dem Resturante und können nur Postives berichten .Das essen war einfach super lecker die portionen waren genau richtig unser kellerin war super freundlich und sehr kompetet und das Ambiete war das man sich einfach wohl fühlte .Wir werden auf jedenfall wiederkommen .B.Stamm und A.Schwetlick

Volles Haus, zufrieden mit der Einzeiler-Reservierung.

Ich war auf Empfehlung hier. Das Essen, Vorspeise Gambas und Schafskäse waren hervorragend, Hauptspeise Schnitzel sowie Rumpsteak ebenso. Rumpsteak war tadellos gegrillt wie bestellt. Alle Speisen mit sehr guten Zutaten und frisch. Wünsche kein Problem. Der Service war sehr freundlich, wir waren spontan eingekehrt, stellte kein Problem dar. Mit etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit wäre wohl noch eine Runde Getränke mehr getrunken gewesen. Das ist aber auch schon der einzige Punkt der zu erwähnen ist. Ambiente sehr stimmig, gemütlich und einladend. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Wir waren mit 12 Personen dort, das Essen war bei fast allen gut, Bedienung eigentlich ok - bis zur Bezahlung! Da wir getrennt zahlen wollten, mussten wir einzeln zur Kasse gehen. Leider wurde hierbei 1 Vorspeise vergessen (unser Fehler), was aber schnell geklärt werden konnte. Dann fehlten aber plötzlich noch angeblich mehrere Getränke, was wir nicht nachvollziehen konnten. Da einige von uns schon draußen standen, mussten wir alle nochmal reinholen und standen längere Zeit auf dem Gang - als hätten wir die Zeche prellen wollen😡Am Ende stellte sich raus, dass es ein Bonnierfehler war. Kann passieren, hätte aber nicht sein müssen, wäre beim Abkassieren am Tisch sofort aufgefallen. Ist uns auch nicht einleuchtend, warum hier nicht am Tisch kassiert werden kann. (Wer Kopfrechnen nicht beherrscht und alles auf eine Rechnung gebucht hat, kann ja einen Taschenrechner hinzunehmen)Es ist ja nicht davon auszugehen, dass immer einer die Gesamtrechnung bezahlt. Nach dem ganzen Procedere kam nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung! Also offensichtlich legt man keinen Wert auf einen erneuten Besuch - wird auch nicht geschehen 😄

Immer ein toller Ausflug und köstliches Essen

Ein nettes und leckeres Restaurant. Wir waren seit mindestens zwei Jahren nicht mehr dort, und es hat sich in der Zwischenzeit stark verändert – viel größer und moderner. Die Atmosphäre war gut, nur etwas laut wegen eines Junggesellenabschieds oder Ähnlichem. Das Essen war sehr lecker und perfekt zubereitet. Auch der Service war gut.

Essen ist teilweise gut. Vorspeise war versalzen. Service ist wirklich schlecht. Keine Nachfrage ob man noch was möchten Deshalb wenn es ginge, gar kein Stern! Und bis man das Essen bekommt, dauert echt lange. Deshalb gab es kein Trinkgeld.

Wir kommen seit 30 Jahren hierher und das Essen ist immer gut. Es gibt bequeme Sitzplätze, sowohl drinnen als auch im Wintergarten.

Wir, ein langjähriger Speiseclub, haben im Split ein köstliches und genussvolles Essen genossen. Die Zeit verging wie im Flug. Und der Service war wirklich erstklassig! Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!

Wir sind ja eigentlich gerne da essen gegangen, waren gestern dort mit 17 Personen essen waren aber sehr enttäuscht da es eine andere Karte hatten die im Netz nicht zusehen war, Preise waren bis zu 3 bis 4 Euro erhöht....und das ohne Vorankündigung....sorry geht garnicht

A very nice restaurant, and the price-quality ratio is simply excellent. There's a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is very helpful. We enjoy coming here as a family or perhaps with friends and/or family. Tip: make a reservation in advance, as it can get busy.

The food was delicious and arrived surprisingly quickly. The portion could have been a bit larger, hence the one-star deduction; otherwise, it would have received full marks.

The service was super friendly and up for a joke! The steak was really perfect! I found the tongue a bit salty, but that may be very personal. Waiting times between dishes are short. We told them that it was our first time there and they immediately gave us a bottle of Croatian wine, pleasantly surprised! Almost all the staff speaks Dutch, nice👍🏼

Another pleasure to dine at Split, this time with family.

As a tourist, you want to enjoy a meal out and try something different. That's how you end up at this restaurant. A fantastic choice; I've rarely eaten so well. Absolutely recommended. The nice thing is that you can be addressed in both Dutch and German.

This restaurant has approximately 0.000% to do with Croatian. All the food (except for the names) has nothing to do with Croatian. Cevape without bread (lepinja)? Ajvar, kajmak, onions? Meat has absolutely nothing to do with cevape. Everything else has little to do with Croatian food either. Frozen vegetables, Kaiser vegetables, no thanks!

Highly recommended. Reservations are required.

“Hell has a branch – it’s called Eetcafé Split in Gronau.” Let me keep it simple: if Dante had to add another circle of hell, it would be this café. The food tasted like it had been fished straight out of the garbage bin of a run-down snack bar. The schnitzel was tough as a shoe sole, the fries limp as the owner’s morals, and even the water tasted of bitter sorrow. As if someone in the kitchen had accidentally pressed “cat food” instead of “meal.” But the absolute low point? The owner. What a walking disaster. A cross between a grumpy taxi driver and a failed magician. Arrogant to the bone, he walked around as if Gordon Ramsay had personally blessed him, while he can’t even fry an egg without making a smoke detector cry. When I politely asked if my order was correct, I got a look as if I had insulted his mother. Seriously, I’ve gotten more warmth from a broken toaster. The atmosphere in the place? Like being locked up in an abandoned canteen of an East German prison. Music that sounded like it was being played by a broken radio, and a toilet that even rats would get depressed in. Conclusion: If you ever want to know what it feels like to lose your soul bit by bit – go eat at Eetcafé Split. And give the owner a mirror as a gift, so he can finally see why no one comes back.

Spareribs were very dry, fries were bland and limp. Very long wait for drinks every time while it was like a sauna inside so drinks were very desirable. Dame blanche was almost only chocolate sauce so the whole ice cream only had a dominant chocolate taste and melted so quickly that you had a chocolate shake.

My experience at this restaurant was very unpleasant. The atmosphere is very claustrophobic, small and cramped. The staff treated us very badly and contemptuously. The choice on the menu is very limited, there is only one dish for vegetarians and the food we ordered was not good.

All in all a positive experience. Unfortunately the rice wasn't even lukewarm and the salad was in a bowl for all 4 people and if you had a steak you had no way of putting it on your plate!? But everything tasted great!!

During my visit to your restaurant I was having dinner with my wife. I was sitting on a chair next to her when one of the employees said to me: "You can take the other chair, because no one is sitting there at the moment, so that you can sit and eat together in a more relaxed manner." I accepted this offer and sat down quietly. Less than two minutes after my food was brought, the same employee came up to me and asked me to leave my seat because it was apparently meant for other guests. I found this very uncomfortable and inappropriate. As a guest, I expect to be able to eat in peace without being moved in between. This unfortunately negatively affected my dining experience.

Friday evening July 5th, 2024, on the way to a short vacation with my wife, we spontaneously decided on the Split restaurant in Gronau. We didn't feel like fast food and were warmly welcomed there. Even though it was late, we were able to choose a nice table. After a while, however, we remembered that we would miss the Germany game. We spontaneously asked for a television. The waitress responded immediately and offered to set us up in the hall where we could watch the game. We were very impressed by this flexibility and accommodating approach. When ordering, all of our wishes were taken into account, even changing the dishes was no problem. The dishes were not only very tasty, but also generously portioned - almost too big for us. We would particularly like to emphasize the quality of the ingredients and the loving preparation, which made every bite a pleasure. The highlight of our visit, however, was the exceptional friendliness of the entire staff, including the boss. This warmth and attention created an atmosphere in which we felt completely comfortable. All in all, our evening at the Split restaurant was a complete success. We would love to come back and would like to thank you very much for the wonderful service and excellent cuisine! Thank you and see you soon!

Unfortunately, almost everything just looked good. My steak was far too raw, as was that of the other guests at the table. Everyone had the same problem 😁. But the mussels were even more delicious.

This is the first restaurant where I was told when we were taken to the table that we had an hour and a half to dine there, which also means the last time I have been there, I have often been to Balkan restaurants across the border. Over the years I can say that the price/quality ratio has dropped significantly. Unfortunately.

Our favorite local restaurant. We almost always order the goulash soup served in a bread roll, which is highly recommended. Then often one of the platters for 2 people, also highly recommended, especially the fishplatte, very tasty. We always look forward to a glass of unerbes after dinner, a very tasty pear liqueur of which you can also buy bottles there. Restaurant Split is highly recommended.
