Reiterschänke in Schweinfurt

We were there two weeks ago and the food is really a Greek dream. We had the marathon plate for two people. It included souvlaki, bifteki, lamb chops, gyros and calamari. Plus rice and fries. I have to say that was the best so far Greek where we were. Simply great. We will definitely come back. These people simply understand what Greek cuisine is. 5 stars from us in all respects.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sometimes you find a good Greek And very rarely a very good one But in the Reiterschänke in Schweinfurt the gods from Olympus cook personally. It's really super tasty. We always eat a mixed platter for two that absolutely has to have calamari. Big recommendation.

Ambience is ok. Everything very clean! Service is super fast and careful and did everything on its own when the tables were full. The food was very tasty! The herb marinade on the meat was amazing! The garlic potatoes were souffled! The fries could have used a little more salt, or a salt shaker wouldn't have been bad. The garlic potatoes could have used more garlic for my taste, but that's all a matter of taste. Be careful with the portion size. I think the price-performance ratio is good considering the portions. We completely underestimated it.

The Reiterschänke is always a safe and reliable option when Greek cuisine is desired. The ambience is largely determined by the location: far outside the city center and in an area that is really not nice and very deserted. Nevertheless, weather permitting, it's wonderful to sit on the spacious, oleander-lined terrace with a view of a wild meadow full of life. Inside, the panoramic window to the riding arena is a special unique selling point; the furnishings are otherwise functional. But the food and the always charming, friendly service are second to none. Here, as part of what's on offer, the Greek food on offer is reasonably authentic, but above all delicious, and unlike elsewhere, the gyros are seriously crispy! The only exception is the salads. If you only want to eat salad, you are definitely in better hands in Sennfeld. But everything else is great and far superior to the Sennfeld competition. Always happy!

Our visit was guaranteed by booking at short notice through friends. The ambience is in the style of a slightly better garden restaurant, which unfortunately wasn't evident from the prices. The sanitary facilities were typically Greek. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio didn't match during our visit. The menu also had a few senior portions on board.

Unfortunately there was no more space in the beer garden. We chose the restaurant instead of driving further and it was a good decision. Comfortable, even for seniors, friendly service, delicious food and fair prices. Absolute recommendation

Were there today and there's nothing to complain about at all ☝️ The shop was full, the conditions were always on tour, but still friendly and nice. The food costs maybe a euro more, but it's really worth it 😋 The portions are also huge, just for the sake of it........gladly again, very good conclusion 👍

The choice of food is very limited. The waiting time is long. The food is tasty, the salad less so and the service could be a little more attentive.

We are extremely satisfied. Went there for dinner yesterday. We were able to sit outside even though the outside area was actually closed. The food was very tasty and a lot. The quantity more than justified the price. They are huge portions 👍🏻👍🏻😋😋. The staff is very friendly and accommodating 💖. Always happy to come back 🥰

If I pay 25 euros for a meal with a wine, I expect expertise. Expertise regarding intolerances. A couple who don't know what gluten is... Hello 2024... Set grade 6! O tone “well the others always take rice”. Fries, croquettes and garlic potatoes are all made in a deep fryer. There won't be a second time. Sad but true.

The best gyro I've ever had! The Reiterschänke in Schweinfurt offers authentic Greek cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The gyros are wonderfully crispy and yet juicy. The service is friendly and attentive. Absolutely recommended!

Very good value for money... I haven't eaten so well in a long time... Great kitchen...

The mixed Hellas platter was delicious and at least too big for me 😉. The service was attentive even though the restaurant was full to the last table. Price-performance ratio is absolutely okay. The restaurant is located at the ice stadium and is therefore difficult to reach without a car as it is far outside the city. But it was worth it.

Very tasty food and friendly staff

The food is okay and tastes good. The prices in comparison are really high! I think it's really cheeky to charge €7 for a portion of tzatziki when all the starters don't come with any other sauces. I also don't think it's okay to charge this price for a small portion of canned beans or fried zucchini slices. In the end there isn't even a real calculation, just amounts written on a pad for you to calculate yourself. It's a shame - we won't be coming back.

In der Reithalle geht leider nichts mehr aber das Essen ist gut. Es gibt Parkmöglichkeiten und das Personal ist Freundlich. Ich hab das Metaxa gegessen, die Soße ist sehr gut das Fleisch war einen ticken zu zäh. Aber an sich ein top Lokal. Gerne wieder.

Wie jede Woche, lecker 😋 😅 Die souvlaki sind einfach die besten. Einzige grieche bei dem sie richtig lecker saftig sind und nicht so trocken wie bei allen anderen. Habe auch noch nie ein kleines Stückchen verbrannten Gyros bekommen. Alles immer top und das schon seit mehreren Jahren. 🤷‍♂️

Das Essen ist super und der Wirt ist ein sehr feiner Kerl.

Essen war gut. Preis Leistung hat gepasst, wir haben volle teller bekommen. Weniger dafür besser ist auf jeden fall drin. Dann wären wir auch noch zufrieden .

Es gibt wesentlich besser griechische Restaurants. Ich hatte Gyros mit Metaxasoße überbacken mit Pommes, von der Metaxasoße hat man nicht geschmeckt hat nur wie eine Bratensoße geschmeckt und die Pommes waren im Fett ertränkt.

Wirt und Servicekraft nicht sehr freundlich! Fleisch, Spiese, Gyros, Steak trocken und zäh! Der Griechische Rotwein ein Fusel, Tafelwein wo man die 2 ltr. Flasche für 5,00 € bekommt wird das Glas 0,2 ltr. für 4,50 € verkauft. Meine Frau hat Kopfschmerzen darauf bekommen. Der obligatorische Ouzo mußte selbst bezahlt werden!
